He hurriedly has his ambassador call Langenia frantically, and Madrinpoor responds by sending battleships to patrol Madri waters, and begin laying mines around the beaches in case of an invasion. President Martredi announces in a tense TV address that everything will be worked out and that there is no need to panic, but Madris should be prepared to defend their country. The boats call out to the Langenians and ask them to send a representative for a peaceful discussion. The Indonesian ambassador hurriedly calls them to ask for help in the seas nearby the area where Langenia is in. An Indonesian blockade could restrict Langenia's ability to get out, but Martredi DOES NOT call for a blockade yet. He also asks for help from the US, China, India, Japan, and all the other nations nearby, and prepares a lawsuit for the ICJ about Langenia trespassing on Madri and Indonesian waters. Cool heads can prevail...

This is why they stopped using battleships decades ago. Langenian-made Madri military equipment is also useless due to lack of spare parts. The US is also their ally. In addition, they know that China may help Madrinpoor, but the US, India, and Japan won't, because they will never work with the PRC due to their rivalry. Also, the Langenians can blow the Indonesian navy out of the water in a couple of days, but they maintain their neutral relationship with Indonesia. However, they do pick up the call of the Madri ambassador.

They call the Insaanis and inform that there are NO Antarctican warships near them, or defending communist and revolutionary Sharifistan, and as such they can use this to wreak havoc on the enemy. Also, the Antarcticans have no military bases in the Pacific to refuel or resupply their fleet, unlike the Langenians, and as such this reduces their fleet to a bunch of hulks for target practice.

IC: The ambassador apologizes but says that if Langenia did actually invade, it would breach international law. And while the US might not side with China, they could still sanction you like China. They do not do the opposite of one another. The rest of East Asia wants that straight protected as well. The Madri ambassador says he is calling off his ships and the NA ones if the Langenians will call off theirs. "Neither of us want war," he says, "why bring it?"
