The article written by Martin Varinson details the plans made by anti-government groups to storm the palace. It describes the interests of Madrinpoor in wanting Insaanistan to back out of the war, and that chaos in Insaanistan would lead to that. It also accuses Madrinpoor of backing Lazarus Rise saying that it didn't make an effort to fight or even condemn it. This article is highly controversial even in Hopal where people are saying that there is no hard evidence for this.

The government fiercely denies this claim and prepares a lawsuit against Martin Varinson and the Hopal Herald for misinformation and slander. They argue that the Herald and Varinson are trying to instigate protests in Madrinpoor, and that they are publishing stories completely retracted from reality. Due to the Herald's (probable) legitimacy, they cannot dismiss this as a conspiracy and demand the article be redacted.
