Court Martial of Marshal Artúr Görgei

After the first skirmish against Rayane Rebels, Marshal Artúr Görgei ordered a Romextlian Colonel by the name of Luigi Caporna to take out the Rayan rebels at all costs, including sympathetic civilians. After the Colonel disobeyed these orders, he was ordered to be moved to another front. The President of Isaanistan, Mustafa, sent a letter to the Emperor informing him of Georgi's action. The Emperor called a military court to decide the Famed and popular Marshal.

The defense in Gorgei is Famed JAG Colonel Faruq. For the prosecution is Colonel Cardona. The trial will begin in a couple of minutes

[Kyundao]

The Kyundaoan Ministry of Defense was just informed that Romextly's second highest-ranking army officer was being subjected to a court-martial by his own country thanks to some ungrateful Mohammedan, as Muslims are referred to in everyday Kyundaoan speech. General Aryeh Sung, the Kyundaoan Minister of Defense, was in his office writing a letter to the Romextlian government.

We were just told that you are putting one of your top army officers on trial for attempting to use what we consider justifiable means to end some pestilential rebellion in Insaanistan. If he is found guilty of this so-called "crime," we request that he be allowed to flee to Kyundao as we have already offered him a place in the Imperial Kyundaoan Army. We must also inform you that we are considering classifying the entire Insaanistani military as a terror group alongside the rebels of the Rayane region.

We have an upcoming war to wage against Anagonia in response to terrorism and espionage, so we could always use an experienced army officer or two.

The general is approached by Raylon Kaledor, a tall figure in dark robes. "Hello general. The Invisible Hand send their blessings. If you think the offer Kyundao is giving you is good, the hand will double it. We want you to be commander of the elite Hand Guards. And not to worry if you are imprisoned following the trial. Accept my offer and you might just escape. Come work for the Acidspitter Empire.".

This is said out of earshot of the others.

[Insaanistan]

Abdirahim glares at the Acidspitters, unaware of what they are saying, but distrusting them nonetheless.

General György Klapka starts off the trial
"Marshal Artúr Görgei is being accused of intention and the ordering of possible breaking of the Geneva Convention. He ordered a Colonel Luigi Caporna to destroy the Rayanes at all costs, even Rayanes civilian sympathizers. The Prosecution, your speech?

[Romextly]

Colonel Cardona opens his speech.
"Honorable judge, the facts are clear. The Marshal gave a direct order to kill all civilians sympathetic to Rayane militants. This would be in clear violation of the Geneva Convention. He deserves to be stripped of all rank and thrown in the brig for25 years."

[Romextly]

Colonel Faruq starts to talk
"What is happening here is a clear miscommunication and distortion of the report by Isaani officials. The marshal gave an order to help weed out the Rayane to help the Isaani government. In return for our help, Isaani officials distorted the truth to make it seem as if the Marshal had been ordering a genocide. There has been no real words explicitly telling the colonel to kill foreign citizens. What should happen is the clearance of all war crimes accusation off of the "Marshal of Freedom"

Colonel Cardona
"I would like to call up my first witness: Captain Alonzo Vittorio." The captain moves up to the stand. A Baliff has him raise his right name "
"Do you promise to tell the truth, no matter your personal opinion in order to not shame your family in God's name?"
"I do." Cardona walked up and started asking questions
"Where were you in the date of question?"
"In Isaani in Somalia near Muqkoori."
"What did your commander order you to do?"
"He said that he had been ordered to command the regiment to wipe out all possible foundations of the Rayan Militants."
"Thank you. I have no further questions."

Colonel Faruq walks upo to the Captain
"So you said that the colonel ordered you to destroy the foundation of the Rayanes."
"Yes sir."
"He said that it was from High command?"
"Yes, sir."
"Did he explicitly say that The Marshal sent him this order directly?"
"Umm, no sir."
"Did he even show you this order?"
"No, sir"
"So you have no Idea if it was even sent from the Marshal or anyone in the high command"
"No sir."
The co9lonel starts walking back "No further questions"

Colonel Cardona groaned. If this is what would happen to all his witnesses, he would fail this. He also knew that most Romextlians citizens were for the Marshal and though the Court-Martial was a beginning of foreign intervention to control Romextly
