Free City of Las Venturas,
"El Burro" Bar and Grill.
Eastern Dienstad, 1 Month Earlier.
A sit down between Guatacaro's Cartel leaders and a high ranking Guatacaroan Army General seal the fate of Guatacaro's long time despot's rule over the fledgling country.
The vibrant night life of Las Venturas kept a regular flow of tourists from across the region of Dienstad and beyond fulfilled with whatever vices they wanted to indulge in the Free City where the Mafia literally is the authority in Las Venturas. Others also indulged in the activities of organized crime and frequently visited Las Venturas to conduct business in a neutral setting. Such was the case for the 'Tres Jefes de Guatacaro' who had all agreed on a neutral meeting place being made in Las Venturas and would come to be known as "El Burro" a bar and grill establishment. The establishment brought the vibrant and proud culture and native and Mokan cuisines to Las Venturas tourists and citizens and also had a accompanying bar stocked with liquor and beer from across GD and more exclusively from Guatacaro and Mokastana. Celebrities and other well known personalities from not only Guatacaro but also the People's Unified Federation and the wider region frequently visited "El Burro" when visiting Las Venturas. The establishment was also frequented by Guatacaroan cartel members and heavy hitters whose drug money fortunes they regularly indulged in weeks long binges.
However on this night the establishment had closed it's doors two hours early as a very important meeting was to take place here. Things in Guatacaro were not going well for both the ruling Cartels and the 'Presidente for life' and his despotic government whose economy was failing and public support was drastically dwindling. The Cartels themselves historically once had a positive business relationship with the would be dictator in the 70s and 80s. However as the country was well in the 21st century the Cartels had grown ever more prosperous and powerful while the government was failing and with it the economy too in which a large percentage of it was from Cartel drug dealing and trafficking among other schemes. Recently the dictator had decided to increase it's tax on the Cartels by double fold which only served to anger them and also had imprisoned their associates and members. So now the bosses from Guatacaro's three main Cartels were now in 'El Burro' to discuss a plan of action with a special guest from the Guatacaroan Army, a Major General who was also fed up with the dictator and favored the Cartels.
A back room of the establishment which was fairly luxurious had been chosen as where they would have their sit down. One by one they entered the room and sat down exchanging pleasantries with each other despite what beef they had back in Guatacaro. The last man to enter the room was the Major General who sat down in civilian clothing while a bottle of the finest Mokan tequila was placed on the table along with shot glasses and slices of lime. Cigar and weed smoke soon filled the room as the men smoked what they preferred as shot glasses were filled with Mokan Tequila. The three Cartel bosses looked and dressed wealthy with the three of them being in their late 30s to early 40s with the Major General being the exception at 50 years old.
"I'm sure you know that it's no secret why we're all here."
"Yeah, that motherfucker has to go. He's fucking with my money."
"After all we did for that bastard and he repays us like that? Fuck him and his mother."
The three bosses drank, smoked and cursed as the Major General for the most part stayed quiet, puffing on a Mokan imported cigar. He was a military man and not the kind of person to be hanging around criminals like the ones before him. However he had a family that need him and he knew as well as anyone that the Cartels were the ones who could provide him a stable income. The three subtly laid eyes on the Major General almost as if they were waiting for his input on the situation regarding the government of Guatacaro, he downed a shot glass of Tequila before speaking up.
"I can speak for myself and much of my men in the Army that we're also fed up with Garcia. We all have families we want to take care of and children to raise and how are we to do that with him driving our country into the dirt? He needs to go and I'm confident I can easily convince the Army to side with us." The three gentlemen all nodded in agreement and looked to be on board with what the Major General was suggesting.
"Everyone needs to eat, General. And we? We can provide what you, your men and the people of Guatacaro need to survive and live comfortably." Miguel Talamantes worded to him as the other two nodded along in agreement.
"Once I get the other Generals on my side the rest of the military won't even listen to Garcia anymore and we can remove him ourselves. The only trouble is going to be his bodyguards and whoever decides to side with him over us."
"You leave that to us, General." Arturo Coronado said pointing at himself and the two beside him. The four would all raise their shot glasses and take a shot together and shake hands in their new found partnership and alliance.

San Reynosa,
State of Reynosa, Republic of Guatacaro.
Present Day.
The three major Cartels in Guatacaro honoring their alliance launch a coup against the current government of Guatacaro with military assistance.
A month had gone by since the Cartel sit down with a high ranking Major General of the Guatacaroan Army in Las Venturas. In a months time the Cartels had built up an army of Sicarios and weaponry bought through the Black Market or lended to them by the Guatacaroan Army themselves.Intelligence had been done and gathered on various persons involved in the current Guatacaroan government who the Cartels were bent on disposing of their own way. The Major General on the other hand had been successful in convincing his comrades in the Army that Garcia was not fit to be President anymore and that their livelihoods depended on the Cartels, with many who served were also border line impoverished under the would be dictator. Orders were sent down the chain of command of the Army and the Armed Forces in which all responded well. San Reynosa would be surrounded by the Guatacaroan Army while the Cartels inside would remove the dictator themselves along with dealing with the rest of the government.
In the wee hours of the morning elements of the Guatacaroan Army positioned themselves around the Capital, sealing off all entrances and exits to the city with the exception of large convoys of Guatacaroan sicarios from the big three Cartels who poured into the city. Within the first few hours of the day the local police were swiftly defeated in several high pitched gun battles with the Sicarios who outnumbered and outgunned them significantly. Much of the city swiftly fell to the Cartels as they made a last push into the government quarter of the Capital where they cornered much of the government and the Dictator himself. The government quarter was soon surrounded as the Sicarios pushed through capturing most of the government and evidently the Dictator Garcia himself before executing them all thus ending the now former government of Guatacaro and leaving much of the country for now in the hands of the Cartels.
