Mustafa put down one of his pistols and replies, “Not completely sure, but I think we’re fighting Ross and some terrorists. Can anyone confirm that or AH!” Mustafa narrowly dodges a bullet. “Whatever it is, we need help!”

“No clue! This is Chris’s place, not mine!” Mustafa yells.

“For starters, these guys are armed heavily.” Mustafa yells. “Also, side note, if you ever think Ross is dead, he probably isn’t! He’s like the mole in whack-a-mole, and all you can do it just hit whenever he comes up! Additionally, if you try to approach, you might want to be careful, because all of us are shooting!”

*Lord Bodie begins preparing the Imperial Swiss Military, and calls for 30 Imperial Swiss Fighter Jets, 20 Tanks, and 5,000 Infantry.*

"He's waking up--careful, he may have head and spinal trauma--"

"Bleeding from the ear canals, could be perforated eardrums--"

"Sir? Can you hear me? Sir?"

Despite all the ringing, Wilhelm did hear the words being shouted at him. And he was aware of the splitting pain on his face. Tangy blood soured the taste in his mouth, yet he did not have the strength to spit, for his jaw and his right cheek burned.

"Steady, steady...."

"He has a deep laceration on his face, watch out for it."

"Looks like a bullet graze, was he shot at?"

Yes, Wilhelm responded internally, by a bloody terrorist posing as a leader. He feared that speaking would cause his cheek to rip open, and he was not keen on having a gaping hole on the side of his face. God, Ross, I'll kill thee--

"He's in shock--"

"Sir, we're taking you to the hospital, no need to be alarmed--"

They strapped a mask of some sort onto his face. He reflexively recoiled, his mind drifting to the images he had seen on the global news and the things that Alastair and Marie had told him. He did not have any desire to wear one, not now, not ever. But his limbs were restrained, and he was strapped down to something, so he unfortunately possessed no ability to tear it off. All he could do was jerk his body to indicate nonverbally that he was in distress.

"One, two, three!"

Wilhelm was lifted into the air, and, much to his terror, loaded into the back of a vehicle. He thrashed to the extent he was able and tried to scream. Like a prisoner, he was restrained, trapped, but he was not a convicted criminal. He was disoriented and stupefied.

"Sir, can you tell me your name?"

Could he? Perhaps, if he could talk out of the left side of his mouth. "Wilhlem," he muttered. Pain thickened his accent and dragged out his syllables.

"Wilhelm. Stay awake for me, alright? Are you able to hear me?"

"We have to stop the bleeding from his cut, hold him in place--"

"I'm going to take your blood pressure, Wilhelm--"

"Quickly, get us out of here, the military's coming in--"

Military? What--what was Ross doing that constituted the summoning of the military? Actually, no, Wilhelm was fine not knowing.

"BP 84 over 58 and dropping."

Amâdey and Kathryn of Kazakah walk into the pleasant Costalblat Castle to an absolute scene of chaos. Exchanging apprehensive looks the couple walk towards Lord Bodie of Switzerland.

Amâdey: You know-I was told this was a wedding...may I politely ask what in the name of Nyzdol the Inexorable is going on?!

"Ross, you are very, very dumb."

"And why is that?"

"Well, for starters, you were supposed to break in and get the drives quietly and peacefully, but instead you shot several people, nearly killed Wilhelm, spiked the punch, crashed an APC into the ocean, and got shot."

"What do you mean? I never shot Wilhelm! I shot his filter!"

"Turns out when you shoot at people they generally don't care of your intent."

"Just shut up, Nate. Just because you're a real operative and I am not doesn't mean I never was."

He snatched a radio.

"Ground crew, cleared for Level 4 arms level."

Down on the ground, a soldier removed the cap of a Redeye missile.

The Reid family entered a palace engulfed in chaos, with shots being fired from all sides of the room. Elaine nudged Harrison as their daughter dodged a bullet. This certainly wasn't the reception they were expected. Harrison took a deep breath before guards escorted them to a hallway where they were seemingly safe. Along the way he saw Lord Bodie in a conversation with an unfamiliar man and asked a guard to invite them to the hallway. Meanwhile other guards stood on either sides of the small corridor, claiming it as a safe haven of peace.

(I suppose I'm writing OpFor now. I honestly didn't think there would be any conflict here.)

The terrorists hadn't expected genuine pushback. But they had prepared for it. A GPMG positioned on the hill was keeping everyone's heads down. The Redeye gunner was on the lookout for that dang attack helicopter. The worst of all were the mortars which, having exhausted their supply of smokes, now were resorting to white phosphorous munitions. If the troops didn't retreat under fire now, they would be toast. Literally.

This hadn't come without loss: ten or twelve soldiers had been killed just in the initial attack, and hundreds of soldiers were no doubt on the way. But these were extremists: they would not back down. Even if it meant certain death.

The shells started sounding off once more.

They had only planned for a few helicopter, which probably could have been dealt with by the Redeye. No time. There were jets.

The WP mortars had fired, but if they stayed on the hill, no doubt they'd be killed by missiles or rockets.

And so the GPMG stayed, but the other 38 or so troops charged to soon-to-be-in-flames line. If they could make it to the castle, launching missiles would likely kill some people inside. And the fighter jets wouldn't run that risk, at least they hoped.

Then, a cry!

URAAAA!

And as the mortars began to ravage the landscape with hellish fire behind the line, all fortyish remaining men spread out, and charged, firing at any retreating soldiers.

They might have had 30 seconds to close the gap.
