"ARE YOU KIDDING ME WILHELM? ALASTAIR HAS GOTTEN INTO THE PUNCH BOWL! YOU'RE JUST AS USELESS AS MARIE! DO YOU NOT KNOW OF YOUR BROTHER'S HOMOSEXUAL AFFAIRS!? YOU ARE A USELESS MAN, WEAK, FEEBLE MINDED, WHO ACTS SMART BECAUSE THEY KNOW SHAKESPEARE!"

Wilhelm looked... Confused to say the least.

But Ross was not going to let go. Not an inch.

"You're fatter, uglier, and honestly dumber than your brother! And he's a raging alcoholic! Change Wilhelm, change your ways and STOP HIS BEHAVIOR!"

"I'm not even fat!" Wilhelm exclaimed as soon as Ross was finished with his outburst. "And--we'll see if he has indeed gotten into ze punch bowl--Alastair is not having any affairs--he's not, he would never do that, even though he is a drunkard!" He bit his tongue ere he could launch into a tirade about his not being dull, for part of him was eager to hear what Ross spewed forth next.

"No WILHELM, you are jealous of me. Of what I can do, get away with without problem. You've had everything handed to you on a golden platter your whole life! And when I showed up, stronger, smarter, more cunning, persuasive, you had to throw a hissy fit! Look at you; lacking respect from Kotera, Christophe, hell, even Ari has only just met you? Do you know how many times I've been shot? Too many! Why don't you try taking a bullet, Wilhelm? Or are you too much of a pussycat? I've been tortured before. I've killed before; to protect myself. Now Wilhelm, what can you say? That you just "got" a position of power? I may be a half good half bad man. At least I'm not a half-man like you."

"Alright, I'm calling him."

He pressed a few buttons on the radio, threw it into the room and shut the door. The occupants were unconscious in seconds.

Ross rushed in with a two-gallon pail of the punch. Making sure to douse it in mouths, shoes, the floor, he placed several lit joints on the ground, grabbed his radio, and chucked any remaining dead bodies into the furnace.

Ross hoped they would assume it was all a dream.

Patyughin had been sitting on the bastion for a good deal more than five minutes staring at Kotera and Pentti in the courtyard below, watching as the former had gone off to do... something... and then come back, while the latter sat beneath a tree, doing whatever he could to keep himself occupied. Patyu had watched Pentti intently, at his mannerisms, his face, as much as he could determine from a distance, comparing himself silently with each one.

"I'm not his bloody double," Patyu whispered to no one in particular, watching as Pentti ran his fingers through his hair in a manner slightly too familiar for comfort. He laid on his back, feeling the cold stone on his back, before saying it again, far more assertively. "Not his fucking double!"

Sheepishly, he sat up and looked around him. No one had heard him, had they? No, no one had. There was no one nearby, except- he could hear something from the cellar. Screaming. There was screaming coming from the cellar. Ari was in the cellar. Oh, god.

In an instant Patyughin was running as fast as he could into the catacombs, unknowingly following in Ari's footsteps. It was Ross, he knew, it had to be. Even if he'd left it was Ross. Everything today was Ross. Fuck that Ross! Let his body be torn apart by hawks! He'd tried to warn Ari, he'd known this would have happened, but no! No chance! She had to play with fire! And now she was paying for it in blood, he was sure of it.

It took him a few precious moments to see the closed door. Screaming, he ran at it, and just before hitting it leaped into a ball. Now, he wasn't built very large, but at a full run he considered himself damn fast- fast enough to knock the door off its frame. He and it fell to the ground, and as he got up, he gasped in shock. Ari and three people he didn't recognize were splayed-out on the ground in various states of disarray, one more sat against the wall with his hands behind his head and a bruise the size of a grapefruit on his temple. Two were in matching suits, another in tweed, somehow still conscious despite the others' very obvious not-consciousness. The man was... screaming at someone. From the other room. He knew that voice, it was Ross' voice. Of course Patyu had to be right, he was always right at the worst possible time. Turning his head and shakily getting to his feet, he saw Ari, staggered towards her, took a deep breath, and fell to the floor. His last thought was that the air smelled funny.

He backed up as a strange man stumbled into the corridor and subsequently collapsed, but his eyes were alight with wrath, and he was on the verge of assaulting this freak.

"I'm jealous, now, aren't I? Because you...run around blowing s#%& up?" He raised his eyebrows. "Fine, then. Shoot me. Put a bullet through my stomach. See if I care. And you think I have a position of power in ze government? Hilarious." Ross could not get to him without first shooting one of Wilhelm's guards, which put both him and them on edge. "'Tis funny that you think being a man constitutes being violent." His voice was calm not. Dangerously calm. "I bet thou plan'st to shoot me, because that's much simpler than actually facing thy problems."

He dropped down and shot the guard square in the sternum.

Standing up, he pointed the gun square at Wilhelm's jaw.

He moved toward him like the Grim Reaper coming to take away a soul. Not fast, not slow, just a gentle float, almost.

Wilhelm tried to detect a hint of emotion in Ross's eyes, but there was none. Just business. Ross was not joking about shooting him.

Damn.

He positioned himself five feet away from the target, just like he had down hundreds of times before. He raised his revolver with one hand, bringing it onto target.

Rage went to panic. For once in his life, Wilhelm knew he was going to die. He was going to go to Hell, probably, and be forced to watch as Marie and Alastair became angels. This was the end of his line. He hoped that, for an instant, he hadn't been such an ass to Alastair, or to Marie, and that he had truly changed his ways.

It was like he was drowning, and couldn't get to the surface. He was going to drown, and he knew it.

And Wilhelm broke down and cried.

Ross stood.

Have I finally won?

Ross raised his revolver once more and fired.

The shot blew apart one of the filters of the mask. Wilhelm sunk to the floor, unconscious.

Ross walked upstairs, grabbed Wilhelm's Bible, and left a page open before he left the room.

"I just don't think you should be hanging out with this Ross guy," Pentti was saying to me in a deeply worried tone. One of those tones he puts on whenever he's scolding someone, but he doesn't mean for it to sound like scolding, so he tries to appear concerned instead.

"-wait, what?" I looked around. We were still in the same spot as we had left off, looking from a distance at the castle. "What- I'm so confused. I think I blacked out."

"Woah, seriously?" Pentti said. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah..." I said, rubbing my arm, trying to get my blood flowing once again. "I think it was the drink, honestly. I just have like - like flashes of memory. Something about a body, repentance, atonement for my sins, a horn. I think Jesus was there?"

Pentti stared at me for a few moments. "Did you just have a Yom Kippur blackout?"

"I think I just had a Yom Kippur blackout."

[Trenaka]

King Wilhelm would hear the shouting match coming from the area of the boiler room, and the gunshots.

“Guard, get over there and see what is happening. Keep your radio on.”

“Alright, sir.”

The guard would head to the cellar, towards the boiler room, and would see the door off its hinges, and the various
people splayed out on the ground.

“What the hell!?” he would say over the radio, “It looks like some of the visitors are unconscious.”

“Get back here, NOW!” Wilhelm would exclaim over the radio.

The guard would stagger through the catacombs, and would manage to find Wilhelm.

“Why did you call me back?” The guard asked Wilhelm.

“I have a feeling that Ross has done some horrible things. I already was suspicious that he spiked the punch with cocaine, and I think that is why the other guests were unconscious.”

“Ah. So he drugged them?” The guard asked, starting to slur his words.

“Yes- Are you alright?” Wilhelm would ask, as the guard started to stumble around.

“I’m fine-“ the guard would slur out before collapsing. The other guard would manage to catch him before he hit the ground.

“Mein Gott! Ross must have drugged him as well, somehow. We need to alert Christophe, and make sure people stay away from the cellar,” Wilhelm would say, pulling out a phone and calling Christophe.

John Ross put on a suit, opened the door, and saw at least twenty, maybe thirty or fourty soldiers outside the door, full body armour and rifles.

"Oh, come ON! Now I'll never get to do 'Message in a Bottle' for karaoke!"

And so Ross grabbed his briefcase, and jumped out a window.

Ross has a history of making bad decisions, and this was probably one of them.

Ross fell four stories, only stopping to think "I see Kotera!" before smacking into the ocean.

The guards spun around, "Looks like someone's in the water."

"Well, let's ask this fellow, uhh... Kotera I think, who that was. In the mean time, weapons out. Is that Uzi still in the car?"

"Yeah, we didn't clear it for the festivities."

"I don't think that matters anymore. Get it on the chopper, I want it hear NOW!" He hailed Kotera, "Hey, who just hit the water?"

Anyways, I hope it wasn't a boring day for you, and you had something fun to do. Then again, I don't find a lot of the dignitaries anywhere? Have you seen them anywhere? "
