Bisingen Begins Earnest Advance into Elitoskovia

A few days ago, the Bisingen Second Army Corps began its first major offensive into Elitoskosvia, launching attacks from liberated Cherenborg and Uelsen in Bisingen towards the Zuiderzee. Yesterday, both attacks reached the Zuiderzee after a complete breakthrough of enemy lines in both the north and the south. Now Bisingen forces are poised to launch an attack on the Elitoskovian capital, Sahr, though it's unknown when or if such an attack will take place. With such an astoudning victory, however, it would seem counterintuitive not to follow this attack with move offensive maneuvers to take advantage of momentary disorganization of Elitoskovian forces. France has also just recently started an offensive aiming to advance to the Meuse within a week's time. Significant swathes of Elitoskovian territory are also under occupation by rebels. While pockets of resistance dot the country, areas of congealed rebel activity exist against many of the border regions or areas near occupation zones.

The following publication is a dossier regarding the size and strength of the primary factions, the progress on securing the immediate area of Wimsaw and the success of Operation Bootlickers. As a sidenote it seems that it has come to the worst, with KOBL and Gouringow both declaring themselves as the rightful successors to the now defunct Kingdom of Kaedwen and have rallied forces loyal to them in the south and north respectively.

Report on the securing of Wimsaw and the Field Army region.
Following the recieving of the orders from General Andrzej Rydzyk the troops were at first reluctant to move out of their posts, however, once informed about the actions commited by Minister Gouringow and General Himmlerowicz the men were more than eager to aid in the securing of the region. At first, significant oppossition from the students was seen until they've received the news that the troops are loyal to General Rydzyk and not Gouringow or Himmlerowicz, in fact, this has apparently won over the support of the students - with many catching on with what's happening and offering to join up with the Territorial Defense, with the major obstacle being the lack of guns and ammunition to arm all of them, according to the reports from our southern territories, the communist and rykovian militias have agreed to cooperate with us against Gouringow and Himmlerowicz, more on the communists and rykovians will be mentioned in the AAR of Operation Bootlickers.

The soldiers assigned to the major cities have been able to take them over without major bloodshed, turns out that OMON's loyalty to KOBL goes only as long as the money keeps coming - orders on what to do with OMON captives are required, as we lack the facilities to keep all the prisoners secure.

Special Operations Group AGAT, upon recieving the orders to 'dispatch' of the remaining royalists in the city that were located in the parliament have been met with a sight of hundreds of students, as well as Rykovian and communist partisans already dragging out many within the parliament known to have been associated with the royalist, militarist or KOBL movements and executing them on the streets with illegaly obtained weaponry, blunt force and other more crude methods, which means that someone must've tipped off the communists about the fact that this many royalists were currently present in the city - the SWW will look into the matter to detect who might be the potential informant for the communists.

The attacks on WNSFW and Kaedwen Troopers regional headquarters in Wimsaw as well as other smaller buildings owned by them has been largely successful, however, stiff resistance has been met and during the operation around 36 policemen have been either wounded or killed. Captives are currently being herded to a POW camp nearby Wimsaw, the same camp that OMON officers have been stored at.

Minister Gouringow and General Himmlerowicz's course of action
Both of the men have secured far larger forces than we have, with Gouringow having secured approximately 3 field armies (~300,000 men) and the majority of the air force. Himmlerowicz is expected to have secured the loyalty of a single field army alongside around 250,000, most likely forcefully conscripted, militia forces officialy listed as Obrona Terytorialna. It is also expected that Himmlerowicz has a paramilitary force of around 80,000, ranging from southern OMON officers, backline 'security brigades' and WNSFW's Kaedwen Troopers assault brigades. Luckily, it seems that the two are currently focused on eachother and not us, giving Wimsaw some breathing room to allow for the consolidation of our forces.

Gouringow, despite seemingly being numerically inferior to Himmlerowicz's forces, he has a significant advantage of local support and the fact that his army is comprised of the majority of Kaedwen's ex-armed forces, however it is a true fact that Himmlerowicz has acquired the majority of the nation's armament reserves giving him a significant advantage in a prolonged conflict.

Handel, Lutz & Roechmeyer AG Launches Gold-backed South Kaedwen Pound at KD£10,000 a Gram in Kaedwen Task Force Co. KG Territories

Handel, Lutz & Roechmeyer AG Group CEO Thomas Leitner issues a press release earlier today, revealing that the Landersvichian investment and commercial banking conglomerate's Kaedwenian subsidiary, HLR Kaedwen S.A., has launched the South Kaedwen Pound, a currency that is poised to be the primary means of exchange in the territories of the Federal Republic of Kaedwen under the control of the Kaedwen Task Force Co. KG, the joint venture launched by Vanguard Security Co. GmbH, Stainach Services Group AG, Ennstal International AG, Trautenfels Defence Services GmbH, Niederstuttern Security Co. KG, Hetzau Group AG and Scharnstein Security Co. KG in response to the outbreak of the Kaedwenian civil war on the 21st of May. Albrecht Zalewski, Chairman of the South Kaedwen Provisional Government, informed the press earlier today that all citizens of the Federal Republic of Kaedwen will be able to exchange each Niagara dollar in their possession for one South Kaedwen pound until the M1 supply of the South Kaedwen Pound reaches the target of KD£50 billion set by the Silesian Monetary Authority oHG. The Silesian Monetary Authority oHG itself has established its headquarters in the Wrocław Town Hall situated in the centre of the Market Square, where it also stores its gold reserves protected by Kaedwen Task Force Co. KG contractors. Mr. Zalewski further stated that 100% of the M1 money supply of the South Kaedwen Pound will be backed by the gold reserves of the Silesian Monetary Authority oHG, meaning that a gram of gold with at least 98.5% purity may be exchanged for KD£10,000 at SMA oHG locations across Silesia. Mr. Zalewski stated that the use of the South Kaedwen Pound as a means of transaction is entirely optional and that the South Kaedwen Pound will not be the sole legal tender in the territories under the control of the South Kaedwen Provisional Government, at least not until the domestic conflict is fully resolved. “The civil war itself is a superb example of what can occur when the national government is not properly restrained,” Mr. Zalewski says, “which is why the South Kaedwen Provisional Government will not seek to establish a state or commercial monopoly on the production of money. Instead, we will fully rely on market forces to form a stable and equitable financial and monetary system.” Mr. Zalewski then went on to add that the South Kaedwen Provisional Government remains staunchly opposed to the formation of a state-controlled central banking system of any kind and will not manipulate interest rates, which he believes are just another form of arbitrary price controls that obstructs the capital formation process. Mr. Zalewski further stated that the South Kaedwen Provisional Government will not seek integration with the Warsaw-based federal government immediately upon the end of the conflict, but will instead leverage its position during negotiations with the federal government in order to allow for the transformation of the Kaedwenian economy into a market-based, capitalist system free of government intervention.

When pressed about the matter, Handel, Lutz & Roechmeyer AG Group CEO Thomas Leitner said: “HLR is very proud of the contribution that it has made to the introduction of key classical liberal tenets to Kaedwenian politics. A transition from War to Peace With the Civil war over and the new constitution drafted the caretaker National Congress of Trade Unions and Worker Councils have begun drafting the transition into a civilian economy and the manner that the economy will act in. A few of the less radical trade unions have advocated for a Rykhovian style market economy, however, a vast majority of the NCTUWC have voted in favor of continuing the democratically planned economy and labor army systems as the path forward for our fledgling country. Many of the Worker councils have affirmed this move and many in the National Congress are backing this path. The political party, officially called the Malagasy Liberation Party (MLP), but commonly referred to as Fanafahana, which is a Malagasy word meaning "liberation", seeks to "Annihilate the German bourgeoisie" of Vazimbia using a totalitarian, socialistic, and Malagasy-run state after overthrowing the current government, as a prerequisite for a true communist society. It is believed that the annihilation of the German bourgeoisie entails a genocide of the white population, which is exactly what the Freiheitspartei wants to prevent. The MLP already has a paramilitary wing, known as the Malagasy Liberation Army (how creative), made up mostly of mercenaries hired using money gained through less than legal business dealings, which include the trafficking of humans (including mostly minors) for prostitution and labor, drug trafficking, and arms dealing. The MLP stands to become one of the largest underground political forces in Vazimbia in the near future due to their high amounts of funding, gained through these illegal operations. The MLP seems to be led by a man named Rinjala Akoholehibe. Akoholehibe is a known associate of the Vazimbian Mafia and he's also one of the most powerful non-white people in Vazimbia. He is believed to be responsible for the deaths of many people, and is too powerful and well armed for the Vazimbian government to apprehend him. Speaking of which, the MNS has attempted to apprehend him multiple times, each attempt ending in failure. A few weeks ago, Director Zeoi Siu Lan met with the Tensai government to discuss the situation in Europe on the long term impacts it would have on Asian trade and security. As their discussion carried on the need for economic and military cooperation became increasingly apparent. After a meeting in Samzan, an official Organization was formed, the Samzan Cooperation Organization, to provide the standardization of economic systems, business law, accounting standards, along with mutual defense between the two nations. Not long after the states of Toluca, Eare Tesisia, and Landersvich were accepted as members.

The SCO has since started to create a common accounting system, opting to choose landersvich's clean and simple Austrian standard. Plans for uniform leasing laws are also underway. The Canton Confederacy has also deployed 60,000 troops to assist the Landersvichian armed forces in building fortifications and providing a deterrent to invasion.

Chairman Fung of the Confederate Council has declared that Canton shall use its position in the SCO to advocate for democracy around the world.

At 11am yesterday, General Secretary Poutine of Pavlovsk and President Grubshenko of Gosmenia hosted a broadcasted annoucement and subsequent celebration of the unification of Gosmenia and Pavlovsk. The two implied that the unification had been a long-term goal of both leaders; both expressing that Gosmenian and Pavlovsk have always been a unified Pavlovski people, only ever separated by boundaries put in place by outside forces.

Plans for unification were reportedly in the works for a significant amount of time, with final preparations beginning within the last month. The two stated that the formal unification will take place on June 21st; the summer solstice. Poutine and Grubshenko expressed their appreciation for the poetic symbol of the unification taking place on the longest day of the year, showing the bright future for overall Pavlovski unity.

Algiers Invades the Iberian Peninsula




Algerian forces moving up to the front line in Cadiz



The Kingdom of Algiers has maintained its commitment to the Security Accord and summarily declared war on TRETO. In the past several weeks a bloody battle occurred in the Strait of Gibraltar and the rock itself. Alician troops initially lost a skirmish before regrouping and capturing Algerian paratroopers. A long and devastating series of naval battles took place between every major Accord and TRETO power after Algiers then orchestrated a surprise landing on the province of Cadiz, Alicia. TRETO initially won the first battle and moved in to block off access to Cadiz. Their gambit looked like it would succeed until fresh ships from Santana arrived to assist the Accord's naval groups and ultimately managed to win over naval control of the Strait.

Algiers currently has several divisions in Cadiz. Whether it will use this to negotiate a peace deal or continue its assault on mainland Alicia remains to be seen.

Creation of the Wartime "Victory" Economy Continues

The war has brought economic hardship to the nation and has necessitated great sacrifices by the public. From reduced pay to more hours, the working people who haven't been conscripted have made many sacrifices to accelerate the buildup of military industry. With trade routes threatened, the nation must become drastically more self-sufficient, and great strides have been made to do just that. The purchasing of war bonds, which has raised over $220 billion, has been reinvested into the rapid buildup of industry across the country. Multiple dozens of massive arms manufacturing plants, ranging from tanks to small arms, aircraft to artillery, have already begun construction, and, due to the system of required volunteer hours implemented by the German-Socialist Workers' Association, has made miraculous progress in the construction of these facilities which is on record pace. In the agricultural industry, an anonymous foreign donation of $5 billion is being used to significantly subsidize food production to make up for a near-total reduction of imports as well as new demand created by the massive expansions of the army.

The war has also caused efforts regarding the rebuilding of infrastructure across the nation to increase drastically, partially due, again, to mandatory volunteer hours. Whereas the original goal for completion was mid 2008, the expansions and repairs to the autobahn are expected to be completed by this fall. An interest in revitalizing steel production has also been reignited by the prospect of shortages, and money raised by war bonds has also been invested in the expansion of quality steel production. Additionally, gold mining operations within Bisingen have been temporarily halted as all resources of the major mining companies, including Goldmeyer-Beck, have been redirected towards coal extraction. This had gone hand in hand with efforts to create a streamlined system of coal liquefaction to increase domestic production of fuel.

Unique means of increasing output have been improvised across the nation during this time as well. Many youths have lied about their age to work in the factories producing equipment for the war. One foreman stated "We really look down on it, but we just can't help it if they love their country that much." Other youths, of course, have also lied about their age in order to enlist, which the military has strongly discouraged. Those under 16 caught lying about their age have been given a harsh talking to and promptly redirected to the factories where they can contribute to war prodution until they're old enough to fight. Young folk aren't the only ones lying about their age, though. One man, 86, put his age down as 43 in hopes of being able to serve in the navy. He was turned down, but found his place in supporting the war by working in quality control for an ammunition factory. He said "I'm disappointed that I won't be able to help sink any yank ships to the bottom of the sea, but I'm glad to be doing my part making sure we don't have any duds going to the boys at the front." The real question is: how are you doing your part? If children and the elderly are willing to do what it takes to win, shouldn't you be too?

Canton SCO Chairman Appointed, Policy Proposals Follow




New SCO Chairman David Wong



Confederate Council Chairman William Fung appointed the young Head of the Oversight Committee, David Wong, to take on the Ambitious role of SCO Chairman. His energy, sharp mind, and proficiency in Tensainese and German made him a suitable candidate, according to Chairman Fung.

Some have criticized the decision, give Wong's relationship to CEO Angela Wong. Many have claimed that the appointment was based entirely on nepotism. David's relative performance at TK Whampoa is only a fraction of his sister's, which has given the man a public image of incompetence. David Wong, for this very reason, was the second least popular member of the original provisional council, only retaining his position with a 68.1% vote, versus the average of 78%. Chairman Fung has denied the allegations of nepotism, and insisted that David's resume and past performance in the Provisional Council made him an excellent choice for the role.

Despite the criticism, Wong has already taken to his role by quickly drafting several proposals to improve the effectiveness of the SCO and increase its resilience to foreign intervention.

The Proposals are as follow:
-Each member state must commit funds to an SCO Cyber-Defense Fund meant to protect organizational intelligence and member-state networks from malicious breeches.
-A common caliber to be chosen for arms. Military cooperation stands to benefit from standardizing munitions.
-A common language to be taught for joint-operations. Wong proposes Cantonese as it's the simplest from a grammatical point of view. A romanized jyutping system will be employed instead of characters to further simplify the matter.
-SCO Military bases are to be established in each member state and funded in part by each member state. Our commitment to mutual defense must be visible and irrefutable.
-A development fund should be established to help finance necessary one-time expenses in relation to industrial, strategic, or other necessary national expenditures.

These proposals are awaiting approval from the Tensai Chairman and the Landersvich, Tolucan, Lasirian, and Eare Tesisian SCO Board Members.

War in Europe: Hutchinson issues declarations of war
After nearly a month of fighting, President Hutchinson has finally issued declarations of war to the nations of Albion, Bisingen, Alicia, Vitolia and Helmand. This comes after a series of armed assaults against Alicia and members of TRETO in general.

President Hutchinson and Vice-President Dean have appointed a series of new four-star-generals and five-star-generals. Frederick Dyer will become the new General of the 3rd Field Army, which is currently in Southern France. Cassius Foxe, Director of NSIG, has been appointed General of the 4th Field Army, which is currently on the Bisingener border. Surprisingly, Roman Dean has been appointed Field Marshal of Army Group Europe, and intends to take "swift and harsh actions against the TRETO grandstanders."

The Upper Committee also announced a series of new wartime measures. All travel has been banned between TRETO nations and the Union. The Union Draft Program has been activated, and all citizens are obligated to register for the military if chosen. Over 3,000,000 men and women aged 18 - 30 have entered basic training for deployment in September. Additionally, the military budget has been raised to

Afro-Pavlovski elected to the NPC

Following Worker's Councils elections in the Caucasus, the Abkhazian Worker's Council made history in selecting Jacques O'Dima as their National People's Congress representative; the first ever Afro-Pavlovski in the NPC. O'Dima reportedly started his political career as a Shoemaker's Union representative, and quickly rose through the ranks until become the city planner in Sukhumi. From there, O'Dima has used his position to advocate for socially progressive ideas within the Caucasus, finding a strong base within the younger citizens of the region. Following the recent elections in the Caucasus, Worker's Council member Davit Gogoladze told the Gazet that "O'Dima is young, popular, and already a history-maker. He was the obvious choice for the position-- who else were we to pick?"

O'Dima is Afro-Pavlovski, but more specifically Afro-Abkhazian; a small minority group within Abkhazia which traces its origins back to Adzyubzha on the Black Sea. There are an estimated 70,000 Afro-Pavlovskis in all of Pavlovsk, with strong concentrations in the Caucasus and Daugava. Santa Rosa on the brink of civil, economic, and humanitarian crisis

CIUDAD BELDAD — The corruption and fraud that wiped out almost half of the stock market earlier this week is now spiraling into a great economic depression which analysts say could be the great catalyst for civil unrest in Santa Rosa.

But first, some background:

The political crisis could all be traced back to the death of President Bukar Breno Bellarosa, who suddenly died in a surgery for a benign tumor in 2005. After Bellarosa's death, a his military hardliner authoritarian Vice-President Jefte Bonturi took over, sparking immense protests against him from the left wing led by activist Danilo Gurundo. Tunneling into the 2006 presidential election, Danilo Gurundo seemed the favorite to win the Socialist Party primaries and perhaps the presidency itself. In September of 2005, President Bonturi ordered federal troops to crack down on striking oil workers who were protesting the drop in oil prices. Bonturi also attempted to illegally dissolve the Congress. Former President Terence Cola also declared his candidacy for the presidency once again in an attempt to defeat the Gurundo wing of the party. After being handed the Socialist nomination when all other candidates bent out (Gurundo presumably dropped out due to private reasons) Cola, who is actually quite moderate, reached across the aisle and picked Democratic Party frontrunner Mick Kennedy as his running mate.

Bonturi was eventually removed from office and the Cola-Kennedy campaign easily won the early election running as a bipartisan "reform and unity" ticket. However, Cola's willingness to reach across the aisle to the Democratic party angered some in the left-wing camps of the Socialist Party, who wanted to actually see some genuine change in government that year. Cola's alliance between Democratic and Socialist politicians in Congress enabled him to pass a package of constitutional reforms that would remove much of the power from the Presidency and transfer it to a Prime Minister elected by Congress. Cola's reforms, which he tried to tout as a "move to strengthen bipartisan democracy," was passed by a Congress still traumatized by Jefte Bonturi. The constitutional reforms called new elections in July of 2006, which President Cola won by a massive margin.

However, the "bipartisan" experiment of President Cola seems to have devolved into absolute chaos. His handpicked Prime Minister, Marina Costanza, was a political novice who is unable to really win any support for an agenda, let alone devise an agenda at all. In addition to that, the Democratic Party has been torn apart by a recent insider trading scandal in the National Assembly where 13 members resigned for buying defense stock before a deal with the French Federation was made public. And Terence Cola has been criticized by members of the Socialist Party for failing to rectify the government killings of oil strikers under the Bonturi administration, as well as for being too moderate, ignoring grave social and economic inequalities across the country, and irrationally cozying up with the Mbali Catholic Church, and other issues.

All of this is topped off by a recent audit that revealed that nearly all of the major Santa Rosan private firms were fudging their balance sheets to appear wealthier than they really were, causing a total collapse in the stock market, loss of confidence in the private sector domestically and abroad, and an exacerbation in the public lack of confidence in the federal government.

The Socialist Party also recently elected a new General Secretary, former labor union leader Giuseppe "Manci" Mancini, who has been outspoken in pulling the party leftward. In the past few days, Mancini has been traveling across the country attempting to organize an organic worker's movement poised to cause a revolution in Santa Rosa, taking down the "neoliberal government" of the President who was the founder of his own party.

Sergey Miroslav, President of the new Rykovian International Front, a merger of the Rykovian National Defense Party and the National Peasants' Party, former general Sergey Miroslav is a new appearance in the politcs of Carpathia, yet he became noticed quickly by the public after coordinating the merging of two smaller parties, becoming a signifiant power in the National Assembly. The Rykovian International Front promotes higher military spending, a modernization of the army and quick intervention in international politics, with the purpose of turning more countries towards the Rykovian system. He is known to be surrounded by dubious individuals of questionable legal standing, but has despite all controversy gained a reputation as a "tough guy", which some Carpathians consider is an important trait for a leader. He has been accused of attempting to gather gang members and other criminals in order to use them to intimidate voters in the following elections for the National Assembly, and witnesses say that he is still planning to gather more votes through violence. Radomir Timotei, member of the Rykovian International Front and de facto owner of two weapon factories and a fertilizer factory, famous TV show host and local celebrity in Southern Romania, part-time guitarist in a band and relationship guru for those in the know A close ally of Sergey Miroslav, he seems to be his main sponsor and financial supporter. During his numerous talks on TV, he has lauded the efforts of the Rykovanian International Front and has supported their ideas. Anonymous witnesses have told our editors that he is secretly supplying weapons to Miroslav's thugs, but this information has yet to be verified by the police. His band is also very famous in his native city, Braila, being the only band to play at the eponymous Timotei festival organised by himself in the city of Braila, with dozens of spectators.

President Terence Cola and Vice-President Mick Kennedy resign, flee the country

CIUDAD BELDAD — Early this morning, both President Terence Cola and Vice-President Mick Kennedy tendered their resignations from their offices amid massive unrest and the brink of civil war in Santa Rosa. Immediately afterwards, the two boarded separate military planes where they were flown out of the country.

The resignations were likely forced onto the two amid Cola's unwillingness to step in and force an end to the unraveling chaos in the country. Several other high-level government officers, including Prime Minister Marina Costanza, also resigned from government earlier this week due to the government's inaction towards the Revolutionary Armed Forces of the Socialist Party in the north of the country.

Only 20 of the 42 members of the Senate showed up, most of which conservatives, and voted to appoint General Raul Pes to be the Acting President of Santa Rosa. Upon his ascension to the office, Acting President Pes declared a national state of emergency, giving himself sweeping executive powers.

Grand Offensive Begins Across the Front

Reinforcements have finally arrived, and just in time for the counter-attack on the accord line. Four new corps of troops have just arrived at the front lines distributed across the front. At the same time, help has arrived from Helmand as over 2,000,000 men join the allied forces at the Franco-Bisingen Front. In Flanders, the V. and VI. Panzerkorps, two entire corps composed of armored divisions and the first of their kind, have moved to the front. In the Saar and Rhineland, the VII. Armeekorps has deployed, and in Würtemmburg, the VIII. Panzerkorps and IX. Armeekorps join the hardened defenders of Stuttgart.

No longer, however, will Bisingen be resigned to play the defensive. The mass assault coordinated across the length of the front and aided by the Helmandis and other allied troops has already begun and will soon put an end to the war. In Flanders, the II. Armeekorps along side the V. and VI. Panzerkorps are joined by the I. and VII. Armeekorps coming to assist from the south who, with 750,000 Helmandi troops and allied support, have begun a full advance on Accord positions aiming to breakthrough their lines. In the south, Bisingen forces of the III. Armeekorps VIII. Panzerkorps and IX. Armeekorps backed by 1,250,000 Helmandis are making a counter attack on Accord forces aiming to push the invaders out of Bisingen territory.

THOUSANDS DEAD IN MIANDRIVAZO GENOCIDE

Large parts of the city of Miandrivazo are in ruins today after a violent gang of Malagasys perpetrated a genocide against the white population! The radical left wing terrorist group known as the Malagasy Liberation Party, AKA Fanafahana, has taken responsibility for it. Fanafahana burned down almost all white owned businesses and government owned buildings in the city of Miandrivazo, including the police headquarters and Miandrivazo Freiheitspartei building. The Miandrivazo Police department has been almost completely wiped out. The gates to the white district of Miandrivazo were broken down and hundreds of homes were destroyed and looted, and many families killed. Miandrivazo Elementary School, which was teaching about 500 children at the time, was painted red with blood, with nearly everyone there being murdered. The military managed to stop the killing spree, but faced heavy casualties due to landmines and terrorists outside the city blocking the roads. In total, the white casualty count is over 2500 people, including police officers, civilians, children, and members of the military sent to stop the genocide. Malagasy casualties number in the lower hundreds. Many Malagasys with hidden military grade weapons left over from the rebellion are still on the loose in the city.

In response to this, many are outraged. The whites of Miandrivazo, many of whom lost their children in the genocide, are saying that the government didn't do nearly enough to protect them. Freipar Council member Wilhelm Shrek has stated that this attack is proof that Apartheid is necessary to prevent Vazimbia from experiencing a race war. The city of Miandrivazo has been placed under martial law in order to prevent anything similar from happening again. The military also plans to garrison cities in order to have quicker response times in case Fanafahana tries anything like this again.

9/4/2007 State of the Nation Gavril Wilhelmson poisoned, Sergey Miroslav replaces him! Just after the National Assembly elections took place, Gavril Wilhelmson was rushed in one of the main hospitals in Bucharest and put in an induced coma. He is currently in a stable condition, and doctors say that he will recover, but they do not know when it will be safe to take him out of the coma. It is not hard to figure out who is responsible for the poisoning, as Wilhelmson's worst fears came true when the results were announced. The Rykovian International Front now has majority support in the National Assembly, being supported by both the Rykovian-Bulgarian and Ukrainian parties. Sergey Miroslav is now the acting president of Carpathia. One of his first measures was to ease the concerns over reports of intimidation at the voting booths, while simultaneously cancelling the police investigations of the reports. Protests have erupted all over the country, however equally fervent supporters of Sergey Miroslav have appeared on the streets. His policies have been made clear, even before the elections: interventionism, military investments and "worldwide revolution". He has also declared support for "all those who fight to break free from the yoke of their opressors". SANTANA'S WARMONGERING? IS IT CANCELLED?

As of today, Santanan Chancellor Riegan Alberdi has decided to cease any and all military assets being traded with France, as it believes the great nation can stand tall and mighty without the support of Santana. September 30th, 2007: Heavy criticism has been leveled against Helmandi Council for Fallen Children and Wives's death count as being substantially too low, with Yaheli organizations in particular estimating that deaths lie at more than 600,000 at least. In the absence of more reliable sources NNN will be including both death counts.

President Macron made his first public appearance in weeks to announce the terms of the peace treaty signed at the Helsinki Summit to public applause. The Helsinki Summit was a peace conference hosted by Pavlovsk in Helsinki to negotiate terms to end the Great European War, and it lasted for 12 days before a treaty was signed.

-The lands under the jurisdiction of the All-Flemish Council will be recognized as the independent Republic of Flanders. Cherenborg will be ceded to Bisingen. Bisingen will assume responsibility for the governance of the remainder of Elitoskovia.
-A demilitarized zone will be established in the following regions: the Rhineland, the Palatinate, Baden, Grand Est, the Belgian border with Bisingen, and the area 50 km in either direction of the Franco-Alician border. Compliance with this DMZ will be ensured by observers, either APSIA or from the opposite nation.
-Bisingen will pay $10 billion or equivalent to assist the reconstruction of Flanders.
-TRETO will be disbanded effective upon the signing of this treaty.
-All former members of TRETO will be prohibited from forming military/defensive commitments with other former members for 3 years. Non-belligerents are excluded from this limitation.
-Alicia will be prohibited from forming any military/defensive commitments for 5 years. The nations of the Security Accord will sign a non-aggression pact with Alicia for 5 years. France and Alicia will sign a treaty of mutual defense effective for 5 years.
-Gibraltar Strait will become a zone of unconditional and unchangeable free movement for any and all civilian shipping.
-Alicia and Algiers (and all successors thereof) must both agree on closing the Strait to military vessels regardless of ownership of the actual Strait.
-Tariffs on the Gibraltar Strait are split between Alicia and Algiers.
-A binding referendum on the independence of Puigdemont will be held.








Macron described the Great European War as a victory for France, stating,


France's territorial integrity has been defended despite a four-front offensive by the forces of TRETO. TRETO has been annihilated as an effective force. France has cast off the shackles of World War 2 while her opponents have been laid low.

The United French Federal Party itself has largely united around Macron's anti-extremist vision, with much praise being given to Macron over his rational leadership and handling of France's many crises.







The frontlines at the end of the Great European War were still moving when peace was signed, with a French offensive to reclaim Flanders and Baden underway, and Niagaran forces seizing Valencia. The Helmandi Council for Fallen Children and Wives estimated that about 276,000 people died during the Great European War, although estimates range as high as 600,000 or more. The Federal government announced that an official figure for French deaths would be announced soon, and that their immediate families would be informed as soon as possible.

Alician and Bisingener strikes and bombings, particularly against Paris, have led to great resentment among the French people, with approval ratings of both consistently polling between 10% and 20%. Much criticism has also been leveled at APSIA for not enforcing their "reasonable warning" clause pertaining to attacks against civilians, in particular citing an incident where the Parisian Military Institute was struck without warning, killing 7,000 French civilians. After this incident, both sides issued general warnings against major cities, which is technically legally correct under APSIA law. Violence against civilians was common during the war, and APSIA's failure to stop it has cast further doubt on the organization's ability to keep the peace, adding onto inherent French distrust of an organization that is percieved as being formed directly against them.

France will be relaxing most of its wartime measures at the end of the year. Arms gained from Santa Rosa, Pavlovsk, Canton, and Yahel via deals with their respective arms industries, as well as excess French arms stockpiles, will be stored at Federal armories and maintained to allow France to quickly mobilize against aggression. Chief of the Defense Staff Villiers boasted that the arms in storage were "more than enough to arm 4 million soldiers."

The Republic of Flanders has been established by the All-Flemish Council as a close ally of France and the Security Accord. Flanders and France have already signed treaties guaranteeing a free trade agreement, freedom of movement between the two nations, and a customs union. France will also be allowed to maintain a garrison in Flanders to ensure its security in a turbulent Europe.
