Except that there won't be two (actually three) other submarines to make remarks of any kind if my sub has anything to say about it. Their orders are to sink ALL Langenian submarines, not one out of four.
Depending on the depth of water involved, among plenty of other factors (like reaction speed), a submarine isn't necessarily going to take its entire crew down with it. Modern submarines (and even less-modern ones) usually have some form of escape system. US submarines, for example, have an escape trunk that works to a depth of about 600 feet (or maybe it was 200ft), which basically involves putting on a fancy pressurized dive suit and being shot out of the boat like a missile. Reputedly an agonizingly unpleasant experience, but at least you're alive. Russian subs actually go a step farther (presumably because they sink more often than US boats) and include an entire escape pod/capsule that can hold multiple people.
There are also deep diving submersibles designed to rescue the crew from sunken submarines.
