Şêrdil Hotel and Casino (IC/OPEN)

Postby HIreland » Mon Jun 22, 2020 12:54 pm

The Şêrdil Hotel and Casino would be open to the public soon, and they were about to go about their jobs for the first time. A bartender happened upon someone else's stash of empty bottles when looking for a place to hide the evidence of his own on-the-job drinking. The resident tailor had just finished sewing the last of their uniforms on, a show of wealth that most of the staff found unnecessary and annoying. (Especially when it came to taking bathroom breaks.) Some of the freshly-suited janitors used an available gambling table to place bets on whether they'd be getting paid at the end of the week. (The odds were running at five-to-one against, with Rêdûr Şêrdil's reputation to be considered.) What had once been a ballroom sat filled with gambling machines and tables. Games of poker, roulette, and pool waited across from rows of mechanical slot machines. (the beeping and blinking lights of the electrical machines had been considered too garish for Şêrdil's establishment so the older, clockwork machines were used instead.) Clocks ticked forwards towards opening time in the upstairs rooms, now refurbished into identical hotel suites. The hour finally arrived, two of the staff stepped forward and unlocked the doors, the rest of the staff waited expectantly for the arrivals.

Aitor Pegurdeja of Voxija was the first person to step through those doors. He was supposedly here to enjoy HIreland culture and fine wines, and that was mostly true, except Aitor focused on the fine wines part. As for HIreland culture, although the hotel might have been owned by a Sharifistani, most of the staff seemed to be from HIreland, and a man's worth is judged by how he treats his inferiors. Or something. Really, Aitor Pegurdeja just wanted to get sloshed.

A few days before...
Under the night sky of downtown Rome, a luxurious party was being held in Eclius' Sapphirius Hotel and Resort. To many it was a jewel and the symbol of upper-class citizens' night life in Eclius. A young man in his mid 20's sat at a table by the resort's artificial beach and gently sipped his Mojito while reading a news paper issued by Eclisian Herald. Under the night sky, he was revealed to be quite a handsome young man dressed casually in a pineapple shirt and beige-colored pants. A old man in his 60's approached him, "quite a night isn't it?" the old man asked, "quite warm in Eclius I'd say". The young man smiled, he sipped his mojito once again and put the news paper on the small table. "it quite is", he replied, "though the weather isn't yet unbearable like the previous years". The old man looked at him once again suspiciously with the eyes of a fox, he gently took out a small slip sheet of paper and cautiously placed under the newspaper. The young man leaned forward, as his hands reached under the newspaper, he was stopped by the old man, "show me the thing first", he demanded, "then you get your payment". The young man smirked, he reached into his pocket, took out a small USB key and hand it over to the old man, "Marcus", he said, "businesses operate on the principles of trust between two parties". The old man cautiously accepted the USB key, he took out a small laptop from his briefcase, having confirmed the materials inside the USB to be authentic, he finally managed a smile. "All the stuff I can get my hands on...you know, the headquarter of Lumen Robotics is quite a wonder of its own, though not much of a wonder compared to their stock value in three weeks, maybe 4 or 5". A few minutes later, the old man left, a bulky man dressed in casual vacation attire approached him, he kissed the young man on the cheeks and asked, "how did it go Quintus?". "worry not honey, it went well, just like most of the transactions" Quintus replied, "the old weasel wanted information on Lumen Robotics' Alpha Project, so I gave him whatever I got my hands on, including some insider's info from the ministry of defense itself. I must say, our new defense minister is quite obsessed with drones...10 billion Denarii in funding? That is quite something".
The bulky man kissed Quintus on the cheeks again, "well, nothing is impossible for you my love. By the way, I've got you the reservations to Şêrdil Hotel. Their grand opening is in a few days."
"a hotel whose radiance outshines even Sappirius", Quintus said, as he sipped his mojito once again, "I've heard the hotel is even more luxurious than this place...you sure you can't come with me Flavius? Most people go there with their spouse or lovers?"
"I've got a few stuff to take care of", Flavius responded, "apparently Bureau of Domestic Security is onto me. They got suspicious after the fortune we made from Darinell's stock a few months ago. Some idiot reported our meeting with Lucius (Darinell Investment's founder and CEO) to the government, apparent he's got some evidence, though our man inside the Bureau of Domestic Security was able to intercept them and kindly report his location to me".
"well", Quintus smiled, "that's a bummer".
"Quite so", Flavius responded, he kissed Quintus on the lips and replied, "far as I would love to spend some time with you in Şêrdil Hotel, I'm afraid the whistle-blower must be taken care of or you'll have to meet me in prison, locked from the sun for insiders' trading. According to my lawyer, that's a solid 8 years based on the profits. But worry not, once it's done I'll join you. Meeting in an hour, enjoy your trip my love".
With Flavius left, Quintus slowly reached under the newspaper and took out the slip sheet of paper, on it was a set of numbers and a combination of sort: 1670-945-9650-03040 and R5$ym*_P(. Quintus smiled, he pulled out his phone, entered the numbers and the combination onto the website of Eclisian Central Bank. Under the account overview, it appears that the account had 600 bitcoins on it, the price Quintus demanded for the information.

Present Day...
Quintus arrived at the hotel a few hours later from the grand opening due to complications in his boyfriend's effort to remove the whistle-blower. Apparently the executioner they had arranged previously demanded higher prices, one that was deemed unworthy of the service being provided. In this Quintus had to utilize his network and find a new person to handle the task. These complications however, didn't quite ruin his mood, for he had imagined that his trip to Şêrdil Hotel won't simply be a waste of money. In a nearly silent volume, he said to himself as he stepped into the hotel's lobby, "well, this is quite a wonder...now, let's get the alcohol served and games started".

Finally, some people here, thought Aitor. The ambassador walked up to the bar, rapped his fist on the counter, and said, "I'd like a glass of Chardonnay." Aitor was more of a red wine type of person, but on this trip, he was determined to get out of his comfort zone. Except on gambling. Aitor Pegurdeja wasn't a betting man no matter how drunk he got.

Kundard Awdis arrives uninvited. As soon as he enters the hotel, everyone stops and turns around.

"Is this the screening for the new 'Birth of a Nation 2' movie?" he asks politely, before opening up his trenchcoat and revealing a dozen sticks of dynamite strapped to his body.

"I guess not," and with that final remark, he takes out a lighter, and lights the fuse. Guests begin scrambling for their lives. Exactly 3.4019128 seconds later, a giant explosion destroys the entire first floor lobby, killing 2 guests that did not make it to safety in time. But the fun has only just begun.

Before the dust has even settled, a jeep suddenly rams into the main foyer, pass the broken glass entrance, driving over several pink, red and blood-soaked organs. The jeep collides head on with the receptionist's desk, which is fully crushed against the wall behind it. Thankfully, for now, most of the guests have already managed to make their way to the lifts, or towards the back exits.

The doors of the jeep abruptly fly open, and a group of 8 masked figures step out. In their hands hold a varying assortment of weapons; pistols, submachine guns, rifles, and shotguns. They are clothed entirely in black, from top to bottom, even their boots, save for their face, clad in white balaclavas. As they cock their guns, they smile, knowing that the residents of the hotel have barely gotten a taste of what is to come.

Seeing a car drive through the building, local HIrelanders, none too smart, figured the car must have found a shortcut, and soon almost the entire traffic of the freeway was diverted to run through the manor, taking out every wall and pillar supporting the rest of the mansion. This had the predictable effects of running over most of the unfortunate gunmen, and causing the building to collapse on the rest. Fortunately, the above floors remained miraculously intact, rendering the building one floor shorter but otherwise untouched. The door to the second story balcony now even found itself as the new entryway. Unperturbed by the incident (things like this happen pretty regularly in HIreland), the staff went about their bushiness while the guests came to terms with what had just occurred. A traffic jam formed behind the mansion as cars stopped and honked at it, hoping it would get out of their way.

When the crazy guy with the dynamite entered the hotel, Aitor Pegurdeja dropped his half-drunk glass of Chardonnay. When he revealed the dynamite, Aitor started running away from the hotel as fast as his little legs could bear, barging through the kitchen and running out through the back door.

Aitor ran through the city, getting as far away from the hotel as he could. When the Voxijan was tired—not long, since he didn't get enough exercise—he turned and looked at the hotel.

It was weird. One of the floors were missing, and although Aitor was looking at the back, the traffic jam was so long it extended behind the hotel. Figuring the dynamite guy had already exploded the first floor, Aitor headed back to the hotel to find ut just what the heck happened.

Not one to be outdone by a bunch of elderly car drivers, Kundard's team sets up new plans for an attack on the hotel.

A day after the incident, purchases of several shotguns, rocket launchers, Gatling guns and helicopters are recorded.

The purchases were conducted in the stores of a prominent weapons manufacturing enterprise in the Seven Chan region, responsible for supply 90% of residents with their guns.

The transactions were not conducted through currency, but instead with several pistols pointed at the heads of store owners and cashiers.

Exactly 5 days after the incident, a fleet of 5 sleek black choppers appear over the skies of the hotel. Closer inspection by a janitor smoking on the rooftop reveals that the choppers have several miniguns stationed at the side, with a man clad completely in black holding the trigger.

All of a sudden, a barrage of lead and bullets completely obliterates any human or animal life on the rooftop; fortunately for the janitor, he realises what is happening, and decides to jump off, falling to his death 1239 stories below.

After emptying approximately 10,000 rounds of ammunition onto the rooftop, the team of commando-anarchists, using a strong nylon rope, rappel downwards, one hand clutching the rope, the other hand holding a mean looking gun (as the commandos themselves describe it).

For now, it seems as though their plan for stealth has work, notwithstanding the several hundred police vehicles gathered outside the building, along with tanks, armoured military jeeps and fighter planes converging on their position.

What happens next? Only time will tell.

The Joyean General Secretary and the Joyean first lady arrived rather late to Şêrdil Hotel along with there security teams which hand been on a heightened state of alert after the recent attacks on the facility. They arrived in there limo on a stormy night at around 9 PM. The presidential security teams were to regularly patrol the entire building looking for any sign of trouble. They were all equipped with Fort-12 pistols though, a few had AKs-74u SMGs or Mk. 49 machine guns. About 20 presidential security officers were on standby in case anything happened. The Joyeans there were actually quite surprised by the hotel mainly by how luxurious it is. While they were in there room gunshots were heard and they were removed from the facility.

Lt. Johnson- Joyean presidential security officer
General Secretary Joyeah Andreyev- Joyean leader
First lady Angelina Valerievna- Joyean first lady

Lt. Johnson- Sir, you need to come with me, we've heard gunshots!
General Secretary Joyeah Andreyev- Yes comrade, Komm auf Angelina, wir müssen gehen
First lady Angelina Valerievna- Ok, I'm coming.
The General Secretary draws his P-64 pistol and the First lady pulls out here M1895 revolver that was gifted to her by the General Secretary. They make there way to a group of security officers that were to take them to safety but the ran into Seven Chan combatants.
Joyean Security officer- Shit we got terrorists straight ahead!
Lt. Johnson- I'll try and get some reinforcements
While Lt. Johnson- attempted to get reinforcements Joyean Security officers had to fight there way outside where a Cougar MRAP truck was to take them to a safe house.
Lt. Johnson- Sir reinforcements should arrive any minute now.
Genreal Secretary Joyeah Andreyev- Good, lieutenant do you have an estimate on how many combatants their are.
Lt. Johnson- Anywhere from 20 to 60 I think.
Joyean Security officer- Shit enemy reinforcements
More enemy combatants moved in and attempted to kill every security team member and just in time the reinforcements arrived and began pushing the enemy combatants back. The Joyean leader and first lady were able to make it to the safe house but many security team members were killed or still in the building. We hope that the local police can help find some of agents that were unaccounted for.

Twenty commandos rappelled down from their choppers, just as a fighter jet swooped pass the 2 Blackbirds, shooting both of them down instantly with a single missile each.

As the fighter jet came swooping around for the kill, one of the commandos pulls out the giant tube strapped to his back. Aiming it at the jet, he fires a single shot, which knocks him backwards by a few feet; at the same time, the jet detonated into a shower of flaming metal and shattered glass, just a few meters above the hotel. The blast knocks down all of the commandos, but they remain alive, albeit slightly dazed.

As more jets converge on their location, the sides of the roof are suddenly lit up by the bullets of a few dozen automatic rifles from down below. Crawling with their faces to the ground, as ricocheting lead flies over their heads, one of them manages to stand up and place a C4 on the roof access door, before being shot in the back.

As the roof access door is violently blown up, one of the commandos tosses an object down the stairs. It bounces of the wall and to the right, down another set of stairs, before landing on the feet of a barricade of several policemen. Another violent explosion shakes the entire hotel, and the 19 commandos quickly roll down the steps, guns in their hands, only to find a gaping hole on the second top most floor. On the ground lie several burnt pieces of flesh, and indeterminable organs and tissue.

The commandos climb through the hole at the side of the wall, formed from the blast, into the very foundations and skeleton of the hotel. There, the police would have no way of reaching.

As more footsteps are heard, followed by several gunshots as the approaching officers preemptively fire their guns, the last of the commandos jumps down the hole onto one of the pipes. Several officers notice and immediately turn around, firing indiscriminately into the very skeleton of the building. Several pipes are burst, leaking air and sewage, yet the commandos soon disappear into the maze like labyrinth of lead.
