Honestly, I brought Chrinthania here to be a fun nation. A nation I know well and have played for years. And as I sat here working it out and figuring out its place in the world, I started to realize that I keep playing this kind of nation over and over again. It makes the "right decision" more often than not. There's no more predictable nation ever. It's literally beginning to bore me. And while I was working out how to work on Chrinthania internally to make it more interesting, it dawned on me to do something new. Something that isn't usually done in these types of RP Groups. So I worked out a global empire that uses realpolitik to its advantage, doesn't have to make the "right decision" all the time, and that will be more fun for me to play. It's massive. Just as, if not more powerful than, Chrinthania. It can still thwack people around the world with its military power. Now, instead of being based in North America, I'm free to do as I please in the Middle East and it feels amazing. That and sometimes you have to step outside of your comfort zone and expand your horizons.

There has been discussion about your request. Here's where we are at: we're fine with your expansion into Mexico, but we're cautious about your desire for the Florida Keys. Frankly, the Florida Keys aren't part of the Caribbean, they divided the North Atlantic from the Gulf of Mexico. You most certainly can call yourself 'Caribbean' and not have the Florida Keys. That and it does make slightly harder work for whomever comes in at a later date to claim Florida. That's because the Florida Keys are part of Monroe County, Florida and that county also includes the far Southwestern tip of the mainland Florida peninsula, so it would literally be difficult to get the populations sorted out. Tell us why you specifically want the Florida Keys. They offer very little in the way of land or resources. They haven't much of anything other than rich folks with boats. Obviously, it could be said you already have that with the amount of islands you have in the Caribbean plus the North Atlantic (The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, and Bermuda are not part of the Caribbean either). So, again, we'd like to know why this particular request for the Florida Keys.

Also, it should be noted, if you expand now, you won't be able to expand for 6 months. Even if you complete your intro thread to a satisfactory level before that time ends. So, just a heads up.

Big apologies for the length of time in responding to this request. It was discussed, but I have been dealing with a big personal emergency, so I haven't had the opportunity to get our reply up. We are curious why you want/need Somalia. Seems out of place. Especially if you want to expand with areas wide open next door to where you are.

Forgive me, I should have said something earlier. I am taking a leave of absence under Vacation Mode, basically. My mother is dying and I am taking care of her and it's really, really difficult to concentrate on anything else. As I am normally the App Puppet user, that will remain inactive for now. Api and Mari will be handling all the things by themselves, which they're absolutely better suited at than I am. When I need a break from this, I will pop on from time to time to check things out. BUt I probably will be mostly M.I.A. until nature finally takes its course.
