our stealth jets flew in droping nail bombs while beeing shot ate by anti air guns in other mountins. 8 bombers where brutaly shot down. as 33 wolf snipers had silently set up positions on sevral passes around appelonia and began to fire there long rang k-80,s at the enemy. The snipers would stay and fight until the enemy were weakend enough for a raid whith our soldiers. Most of my artillry was blown up by hiden bombs. The shrapnel of the nail bombs were deadly in the first strafe, but the militia soon packed into the bunkers, keeping periscopes to watch the pass, and seeing no soldiers on it, cautiously returned to their posts, moving the casualties from the trenches to the mountaintop for a sky burial- they'd had enough of digging.

at that moment several snipers open fired at the pass. As the artilery observer told his men to open fire on the pass also. The 3 guns did what they could to silence the mountain of gun fire that had hit sevral men on the artilery guns.

The militia drop, some dead and some taking cover, and begin to scan for the snipers. Their own nested snipers keep a sharp eye. On the ridge, one militiaman runs towards the trenches.

The militia eye the food suspiciously, but refuse to retrieve it with the snipers about. The militia creep back to their trenches, and to their rations.

the snipers where then told to pack up and return to base. The artilry pulled away. To allow the troops to grabe the foods and fresh water.for respect.

The troops, having received no sniper fire for some time, take the food. First, they test it with their dogs.

Comrade Twohey smiled. They would fight if the enemy tried to take the pass, but it was hard to hate someone who gave you rations.

the snipers later resumed there positions after the group gatherd the supply. And the artilery resumed there spots also. As DaKota Smith asked his men if they thought that it was wrong as freedom fighters that we are fighting what another nation beleavs. They all replied whith a yes sir! After all that was how are country was born. That was us up there thought DaKota Smith. Fighting for somthing in which we beleaved. Every one looked at the pass.

Some short time later, a group of rebels bearing a white flag of truce go down to the mouth of the pass bearing a stretcher full of Sagatagan liquor and syrup they brought with them.

after a while DaKota Smith decided to help the rebels rise. And forget the past.

The militia leave a small contingent of their soldiers in the pass, the rest staying in the trenches above, and radio the Collectivist Rebel Command with the news, and a request for a contingent to escort the new volunteers to Collectivist territory for evaluation and assignment. When done, they seem to let their guard down somewhat- about half the force takes the opportunity to leave the trenches, some going to mingle with the new rebels, bringing with them cards, cigarettes of various plants, and coffee.

My rebels came to the top of the pass to be with the other rebels. and set up more positions for artilery to protect the pass. We then set up better sniper positions. We called in explosives to reg traps. We poured concret for bomb proof pell boxes. With ammo and musterd gas. Anti aircraft guns will be in place on and around the pass.

News of Dembosses switch in sides was a dissapointment the Fexian navy is ordered to blockade the entire west coast including the coast of Demboss. In the east the naval blockade was having a tough time with the collectivist navy. The collectivist sank 3 destroyers and 1 battleship.

Comrade Dostyvchiek breathed out in the cold air and grimaced. It was cold enough for breath to show up, but not cold enough for snow that he could use to dampen his breath. He had taken the scope off of his rifle- he was skilled enough without it, and the glint could give him away as easily as the breath. Hiding under a formless grey blanket that worked better for him than a gillie suit in a rocky hillside, he slowly crept down the slope. His last position, he had given three shots. That was almost too many, and he didn't want to be pinpointed. Some of the better dug-in snipers could, perhaps, but not he. It was a dangerous game he was playing- the bombers could strafe the pass any time, and he was from the bunkers. Still, the Fexians had learned to put their officers away from the front line, and what use was picking off soldiers? Perhaps were he sniping at his own men, every troop would be equal, but against a hierarchical force? A well-placed shot would be more damaging than ten against the common soldiers. That fact sickened Dotsyvchiek a bit, that one man's life could be worth so much more. Still, he intended to use it to his advantage.

He looked back up to the sky. Nothing. He had missed a corporal earlier today, and would never forgive himself for it. Still, he was almost in range. Just a bit beyond the next mound. He dragged himself aching along the rocks. It must have taken him minutes, but it felt like hours. Finally, he was on the vantage point he wanted- a straight shot into the mess tent.

It was getting dark. The comrade had been on the mound for hours. Nothing. He would have to make the choice soon, whether to slink back to the trenches and miss his shot, or stay, and risk cold, discovery, or the bombs. Just a few more minutes. Then he saw it- in the milieu of privates and sergeants, a shot worthwhile. He didn't know the rank, but he knew that an officer had saluted him. The mystery man was a commissioned officer. A lieutenant? A major? A colonel, even? Without the scope, he had know way of seeing the insignia. But, it was the best shot he might get all night. He held the rifle closer against him, lined up the shot, and squeezed the trigger.
