As Winston Steele ages his tentative grasp on the populace of Aroni fades, with the recent dissolution of the State Security Agency and the recent end of the moratorium on public assembly, the streets have been filled with people protest that sometimes leads to violent riots. There is now full blown anarchy in the streets, the gendermeire are unable to keep order, and the National Guard has been called into to deal with the mess. The death toll has risen from hundreds to thousands and continues to grow each passing day.
Now seems to be the end of the dictatorial system, the birth of a new democracy, and both sides are pleading for support from the international community, will you answer the call?
On one side is the old guard, the dictatorial leadership, which came to power in 1988 with a coup, a social democrat society that has brought Aroni to the heights of power. They presently control ~75% of the national especially the countryside
They are backed by:
1.) ~50% of the Aronian Armed Forces:
1a.) 680,000 Troops (6 Infantry Div, 1 Paratrooper Div, 3 Jungle Div, 2 Airmobile Div, 3 Armour Div, 2 Cavalry Div, 17 Logistic Div)

The other side is the revolutionary, seeking a western style democracy, they control various large cities in the nation, with the notable exception of Guzbek, the capital which is under marshal law. The revolutionary are very much unarmed as the nation has had a weapons ban for as long as the regime has been in power. Some forces have successfully raided armories to gather needed weapons and equipment. They are backed by:

- Aroni is a large island nation off the coast of South America, it is full of vast jungle, the large spinal mountain range, and the northern semi-arid flat plains.
