Of course Boris accepted the invitation but he was enthusiastic, this is a chance to get close to kalintov and form some kind of bond. He could also make more friends in the government and leave a good impression among the higher ups in the government. In his mind he was hoping to do his new country proud he was ready to serve his purpose, the next day Boris had gotten nicely dressed as he arrived at the building for the meeting, he made sure everything was straight and neat before approaching the receptionist.

“Hello, I am Boris Yurievich Preobrezhensky chairman of the Karēl worker’s council, I’m here for the meeting.”

The receptionist, a large, tired looking man simply points towards a wooden door on the right side of the room. The words ‘Soviet Nātzotsel’ or National Soviet are written on a banner hung over the previous inscription. The building that now holds the meetings of the National Soviet is the former Krōlevka Kolīntzī (Royal Council) building, constructed by Ivan XII during his brief attempt at liberalizing Mokov, before the civil war broke out and the Krōlevka Kolīntzī was dissolved.

Boris nods with a smile “ah yes, thank you” he said with a grateful tone before entering said room “good morning comrades” he simply said in a polite manner as to not get on anyone’s bad side, Boris took his seat his mind on his mission and his face wore a smile.

The room is large, with at least eight hundred seats overall. At the front of the room is a hastily put up picture of Yegor Kalintov, plainly meant to cover up the painting of Ivan XII that was originally there. After around twenty minutes, Kalintov himself walks in, and stands at the podium in front of the picture of him.

“The eighth meeting of the National Soviet of Mokov is now in session, to discuss the implementation of the Anti-Capitalist Trade Policy.”

Boris rose for kalintov giving him a salute as he thought only necessary.
It was interesting to meet someone that runs a country but in his mind he couldn’t help but compare him to king Leon, one of which seemed mor prestigious to him. However he would not allow this to cloud him from his mission he must appease kalintov and get close to him.

The rest of the Soviet quickly mirrors Boris, and Kalintov nods at him in approval. “On your desk is a portfolio going over the ACTP. Please read through it so you fully understand the subject of the discussion.” Inside the folder is a stack of papers, detailing the ACTP. The ACTP would ban the export of raw resources, except to socialist nations.

Boris browsed through the folder wanting to keep up with it and maybe set the good example for how a true comrade should act, his job is important too right, taking initiative could be seen as truly loyal to kalintov. This was his plan to seem the most dedicated and loyal to his job.

Kalintov, not waiting a second for the rest of the Presidium to read through the proposed law, continues to speak.

Yegor Kalintov:"I trust you will toe the party line. The ACTP will ensure the rise of socialism across the world, as the capitalist oppressors that inhabit it are so overly reliant on oil to maintain their crumbling hold on the working masses. Voice any concerns you may have immediately."

As the elderly dictator speaks, in the back corner of the assembly, quietly standing against the wall, dressed in a rather unassuming green-grey coat and hat, is the most dangerous man in the MPR, Lavr Pyotrovich Savinkornikov, Minister of Internal Security, head of the greatly feared KVBP, closely watching everyone in the room.

Boris knew that this was ridiculous, Kalintov is trying to starve the isles of oil when there’s other oil rich nations around, havalland itself had a few oil rich spots combined with imports from its allies it would be fine. Boris would agree and toe the line making sure to stay on kalintov’s good side. The inconspicuous man didn’t bother Boris too much he knew he was being observed he would have to dig in his heels and bring out his A game.

Nobody says anything, and after a short wait, Kalintov calls for the vote to begin.

Boris votes for it, taking the initiative with his vote to appease kalintov.

Five minutes of voting goes by, and the Anti-Capitalist Trade Policy passes unanimously, nobody present daring to oppose Kalintov.

Boris was unsure what to say so he would salute kalintov again.
“Glory to Mokov, and to her great leader” he would be patriotic that’s it it’s good for mokov atleast kalintov thought so, to withhold mokov trade to particular nations, brulafi was the nearest communists and even they were skeptical of kalintov.

Kalintov gives Boris a quick nod before silently exiting the room, followed closely by Lavr Savinkornikov.

Two days later, the ACTP is put into place, causing mass unrest among the people's of Central Mokov, who rely heavily on foreign trade for their food.

In secret, a society of Central Mokovi, known as the Mokov Imperial Society, that advocates for a return of the monarchy, under Ivan III. This society has reached out to the government of Havalland to request support.

Once, Ivan z Mokova II was a man of power. He ruled over a rich nation with a thriving culture. He lived in a palace of such opulence that even the servant quarters were fit to house a king. Now, now Ivan II is the King in Exile, with nought but the clothing on his back and the crown on his head to call his own. When the civil war broke out, and he was deposed by his old friend Yegor Kalintov, Ivan had been forced to flee Mokov for fear of his life, and ended up taking shelter in Havalland, where he was arranged to marry a Havallish noblewoman of their royal house.

The wedding was in four days, and yet Ivan could think of nothing but how he might one day return to his homeland and reclaim his throne. Of course, the copious amounts of vodka the ex-monarch consumes on a daily basis does nothing to help his melancholy, but to stop drinking would leave Ivan with no real solace from the tragedy of his situation, or at least that's how he sees it.

“Ivan?” A soft but stern voice asked looking for the former king, it was princess Elizabeth Duchess of Abbey and Ivan’s bride. For the time he got to know her he would know of her no nonsense but caring attitude. “Ivan may I speak to you?” She asked.

Ivan swallows his glass of vodka and turns to his betrothed.

said the royal in halting and heavily accented english. During his tenure as Krōl, Ivan never bothered to learn any language besides his native North Mokovī.

“I wanted to show you something before the wedding, you might like to see it but we will have to go out of town” *she said, her voice seemed sort of soothing, she knew what she was doing.

Ivan grabs a pack of imported Mokovī cigarettes from before the civil war, lighting one before speaking again.
