Berlin, New Prussian Empire

The night is in its infancy as the Kaiser looks upon the glamorous city. He looks to his right, where his accomplice - Albert Pryde is standing. "We have done good. The Empire we have constructed will rise to the same glory that its predecessor had two centuries ago. Never has Prussia been so prosperous and so strong! It is time that we, eliminate our enemies - do you agree?" Kaiser Fritz Marshall asks him.

"Indeed I do sir. We have reports that the Slovakian rebels are taking arms - with the poles."

"The poles are getting involved? Do they see a challenge against the Prussian Empire? I suppose we should show them then. I take it that you have formulated your plan of aggression and suppression of the rebellion?" Fritz says with a smile.

"Indeed we have, Kaiser. The general staff has formulated their plan, and it fits all required objectives. The destruction of rebel supporting sites are to be destroyed within the first twelve hours of the beginning phase of our operation. This would be followed by special forces under the command of Wilhelm Sackler to pierce and infiltrate rebel strongholds and destroy them. Phase 2 will see more secondary airstrikes against other rebel targets and the army move in with an offensive against large groups of rebel cells. Phase 3 will be the longest of all phases, and will include the ultimate destruction of the majority of the rebels, including search and destroy missions performed by the troops under Wilhelm Sackler as well as that of the army. The plans are sitting on your desk, sir."

"And what about Poland." the Kaiser asks.

"Poland is to be kept aside, but its intervention regarded as a threat to New Prussia in the faces of the media. Following our conclusion of Phase 2, we can begin preparations for an invasion of Poland. At your request, we have already made plans to move the incursion into Poland to the latter portion of Phase 1."

The Kaiser looks upon the slowly dimming lights of the city as the night grows older. "Continue the operation as planned." He says sternly. "Today, the Slovakian rebellion will end."

"We will see to it, Kaiser."

Prievidza Train Yard - Rebel Ammunition Dump
0500 Hours, A-Day +0
Skull Squad - Combined Arms Special Forces Detachment

"Come on Franz, we have an objective to destroy. It is not everyday you are tasked to destroy an entire town of rebels." Hans eagerly says to his comrade.

"Indeed you are right, it is however - slightly frigid." Franz says in return, to which Hans responds "This is nothing - you were an Alpine officer were you not?"

"I was - and we dressed a bit more for this."

The squad, made up of six men were highly regarded among those of the Prussian special forces. They had partaken in missions as far away as Tanzania and as close as Paris. Franz was newly accustomed to the squad, however. He had only made it out of training two months ago and was still getting accustomed to the thought of fighting in a war. "I had only joined for the benefits" he thought to himself.

"I can almost smell the powder!" Joseph says as they near the first objective. As Joseph was about to speak again, the leader of the squad - Rüdiger Schürer spoke, "It is not time for dreams! First, Joseph and I will plant the charges in the building, and then the railyard. There is a train that will go through the city at 0545 hours, and we are to derail it and send it directly into one of the ammunition trains. Hans and Franz are to set the junctions for the correct tracks, and place charges at the required locations. Eichmann and Gotthard are to disable the enemy com-links and provide covering fire from the ridge. Is that understood?"

"Yes sir!" the squad says in unison. "Meet at the rendezvous point at 0540 - and make haste. If you are dead - you will jeopardize this whole operation."

As the duos went to do their respective duties, Franz and Hans walked through the railyard to their objective. "Equip your silencers - the enemy will know you are here if you do not carry out all precautions." Hans tells Fritz. "I have them equipped - there is no need to remind me." he says. "Then why is the suppresser not on your gun?"

Fritz pauses, and quickly equips the silencers to his sidearm and rifle. "I am counting your mistakes, young one! If it were the rest of the squad, you'd lose your balls!" Hans tells him as he scans the path for any enemies.

"Why are we even here? What is the point of this mission?" Franz asks. Han responds, still upholding a positive attitude. "This town has strategic importance to the enemy. We shall rid it of its importance as soon as possible. Did you not learn about military logistics?"

"I did, a rather boring topic but-" Franz was interrupted by Hans raising his rifle, and shooting an enemy patrol of two soldiers. "If you were to focus a bit more on the objective, you would see that the enemy is searching for us."

Half an hour later

"Have you moved the bodies?" Hans asks Franz. "Yes, they are scattered about on the southern field by the junction."

"Good, now let's get going. The meeting point is only a few minute walk from here if we move quickly." Hans says, as the two begin to walk at a quick pace away from the railway yard.

"Why did you join the Combined Arm Troopers?" Hans asks. "You do not seem excited at all." Franz thought for a short bit of time, and responded. "I was seeking adventure - probably in Africa or Asia."

Hans question Franz "Perhaps you were - tell me, was it pay that you enticed you to enlist?"

"No! Not at all, why - that is outrageous." Franz says trying to seem shocked. "Do not lie Franz, I am good with liars. People join the Combined Arm Troopers not for adventure but for a determined goal - one for that of a greater Prussia." Franz tries to think of a response, but is cut off by Hans. "I joined because I wanted more in my military career. I was determined to fight for a greater Prussia - one that will bring peace to Europe, however I could not do that being lazy in an outpost on the Rhine."

The two later rendezvous with the rest of the squad at the rendezvous point. "I suppose all went well?" Rüdiger asks. "Everything went according to plan" Hans says. "Good, the helicopter is only a few minutes away. We will have time to witness the destruction of this rebellions hope."

Soon, the light of a fast moving freight train appeared in the distance. It grew closer, and closer as it seemed to be gaining speed. As the train approached the inner city limits, a loud screeching could be heard as sparks erupted from the bottom of the train. Like a scene out of a movie - the train thundered into the railway yard and rammed the rear of one of the train cars filled with ammunition. A paper crumbling would have made a good representation of the scene unfolding, as train cars careened into other trains parked within the yard and buildings in the area. Then, if it couldn't have gotten louder, an explosion erupted from the rear of the ammunition train that was first impacted, then followed by the ammo warehouse, and other trains in the yard. The explosions continued as the town was set ablaze.

"Looks like Hiroshima." Rüdiger says. "A sight to behold."

Hans walked over to Franz, who was in shock at the destruction that was occurring right before his eyes. Hans sat down, and calmly tolled Franz - "Welcome to Skull Squad."

Somewhere West of Jacksonville
11:37 EST
The night stood still over the swamplands of Burussica. No Light could be seen except for the stars and moon above. The hum of Cicadas and Grasshoppers was absent from the air. The water laid still, showing no movement of anything bellow. Then off in the distance, one could faintly hear the rumble of an approaching vehicle. It was loud compared to the silent night. The rumble of the gravel road and the splashing of mud as tires sped through it. The vehicle was an old age vehicle used before the Third Berg Civil War. It was a Jefferson Edmont Environment Pathfinder, or a J.E.E.P as the Army called them. Its passengers were adorned with old Khaki work uniforms, each of them with medals and ribbons on each side of their navy blue tie. The driver had a scar running down his face. The scar ran from up under his hat down to his collar that had one too many buttons unbuttoned. The scar was still fairly recent and was a vibrant red that disrupted his sun-tanned face and his bright blue eyes; now, only one was left visible. The other eye was left concealed with an eye patch to prevent infection and further loss of sensation in the eye. The passenger was an unmemorable face for someone who seemed unmemorable. He sat looking out of the side of the J.E.E.P with a freshly lit Cigar in his right hand as he took another puff as the swamp turned more and more into just a forested plain. A pale yellow light came into view. The vehicle slowed down as they pulled up to what seemed to be the busiest shed in the entire Empire.
"Well, there goes the whole reason for being covert." said the driver looking over to his passenger as he gestured to the cluster of cars surrounding the shack smaller than an Imperial Troop Transport Ship. "We were told to not draw attention to ourselves, that's why we are meeting out here, at this time, instead of at Imperial Command tomorrow morning."
"Oh, hush Dante." The Passenger spoke as he puffed his cigar again. "He wanted us here because if there was a meeting during the day our absence from Imperial Command would have been noted and because if we met at IC it would have had to be reported to the full Parliament sooner or later. Whereas out here we can meet and no one is missing us."
"Easy for you to say, 'Mr. No Wife or Kids'" Dante sarcastically replied. "The only thing your missing is your bed, whereas I will be in the dog house for weeks because I had to drive out here instead of going to my Daughter's first lectureship. I missed her first speech as a well-educated pioneer in her field. I missed her graduation from the Academy and from High School. I missed teaching her to drive, or her first battle simulation. Tonight was the night I was going to be there at one of her things before she gets assigned to her post."
"I'm sorry about that, but you don't turn down or ignore the call of the Horn." The passenger said.
Dante sighed and muttered, "No, I guess you don't, hopefully, one day my daughter can see what her old man was doing all this time for her."
"She won't just see it as a citizen but as a member of the Horn herself, she is going into the Service right?"
"Not just into the service, Imperial Gaurd, as a Captain right out of the gate," Dante said as he pulled the Jeep up to an open spot and turned the vehicle off. As they exited the vehicle Dante said. "You know he won't allow you to bring that in." pointing to the Cigar in the Passengers hand.
"I am Khanor Conner, Cousin of The Emperor, of the Loins of the Original Berg. Why can't I have this?" Khanor uttered in disgust.
"It's because, dear friend..." Dante said as he took the cigar and cut the smoldering end off. "You will be one of two of the original Conner's in the Order as of now and The Emperor doesn't want you to tarnish the Family name in front of the other members of the order."
"Whatever, you say," Khanor said as he snatched the rest of the cigar and tucked it into his pocket "but, if he is wanting me to kiss is royal rear he can kiss mine too."
"Very well let's go see what this is all about," Dante said as they walked towards the door...

March on Prešov - 0645 hours

The Slovakian Rebellion in terms of size was extremely diminished by the time that the Prussian Army began the siege on Prešov - the last Slovakian Rebel stronghold. Although many small rebel cells still existed, Phase 2 of the operation was going well and it was estimated that the rebellion would be crushed within a matter of months. The March on Prešov, as it was dubbed by Prussian soldiers would be the final swing against the rebellion with an offensive to take the city. Soldiers of the 3rd, 16th, and 21st Infantry Divisions would capture the city and destroy the rebellion - with support from Luftwaffe strike-fighters. With high hopes - soldiers of the 3rd Infantry Division "Eisen Blitz" aspired to be one of the best infantry divisions, having nationwide popularity for cunning attacks against overwhelming enemy forces. Today would be no exception - another battle it would seem - the enemy lacked large amounts of heavy weapons or even support; they were encircled after all.

"Today is the day the rebellion dies Waldmann! Slovakia will be restored from its rebellious past and be brought up into a new Prussian future!" an exuberant Eckhart says. "It dies because of me!" Waldmann responds. "The agility of that rifle of yours is no match for the firepower of my MG55!"

"So you say - Waldmann! When you run out of ammunition in the first half hour - you will be seeking some support from me!" he laughs - cleaning his rifle.

"You boys talk firepower? I'm sure you haven't seen action with the Panzercorps!" An officer approaches, wearing the attire of a tank commander. "Why waste ammunition when one shot is all it takes?"

"Tankers have it all - we do not get a shield of armor to fight behind!" Eckhart says, to which Waldmann responds saying "The tank is a shield itself for the infantry - anything can be used for the advantage of the regular soldier."

"He is right, Eckhart. For all his oversized clumsiness, Waldmann is a smart one." The officer says. "Watch your tone! Heavy infantryman are not as clumsy as you think!" Waldmann shouts in response. "We will see. Driver, move forwards. The attack is to begin shortly."

"You just got your rears handed to you by an officer! I told you it'd only be a few days until it'd happen again!" A soldier says from behind them facing towards another soldier who begins to speak. "Paul - you are an optimistic one. Your luck will run out soon enough - and you will be the one who owes me."

"In your dreams Karl! The cat has nine lives - you see." Paul tells him in return, trying to shrug off Karl's statement.

"Your thought process is flawed Paul. As for the cat, they eventually will run out of the lives that the gods have allocated to them. I take it you have survived the previous ordeal with the drone attack, Eckhart."

"Well-" Eckhart is about to respond, but Waldmann cuts him off. "Only because of the rapid fire of my MG55! An accurate gun is useless if you miss the target!"

"That is debatable, Waldmann. I look forward to fighting with you two again in this battle. This will be a true turkey shoot as the Americans would call it - your skills as a rifleman will be put to good use in the battle by the commanding officer, Eckhart." Karl always spoke in a wise, however slighlty obnoxious manner. He was a marksman at heart, and had taken a liking to the new railgun sniper rifles that the Prussian Army has issued to the elite marksman.

"Thank you, Paul. I believe the same will go for yours." Eckhart says.

A message chimes onto the radio; "The enemy garrison is 25% larger than expected. The attack is to begin soon. Artillery bombardment is to take place ten seconds from the release of this message. All soldiers are to report to their planned positions for the attack."

"I should not worry for something that has already been proven for the commander - but only if those capabilities can be sustained."

The bridge between Parliament and the Prime Minister’s office was dimly lit by the sun shining through the tinted windows. Tall, armed men stood at either end, weapons slung haphazardly across their shoulders. The doors on the far side opened to reveal Parliamentarian Boris dressed in a crisp dark blue suit and red tie. “What is it this time Boris?” asked Prime Minister Bagley in a detached tone. Boris had become the annoyance of the party, constantly aiming for party leadership by trying to appear important.

“Prime Minister Bagley we’re going to vote on the expansion of the military due to the tribes. The opposition parties are currently resisting any efforts to expand space and air force spending, and we’ve lost two votes from our side already. The bill will fail.”

“Then why are you here?” Bagley asked, glaring at Boris. “If you truly want to help the party, get the votes we need. Talk to the corporatists if needs be.”

“But. . . sir,” Boris stuttered

“I’ve made myself clear, have I not?” Bagley boomed.

Boris turned, scratched the back of his neck, and left.
A disembodied voice carried from the far end of the hallway. “Prime Minister Bagley,” began one of the guards, “Lazek III is here to see you.”

“Send him in.”

Lazek III walked in, shoes squeaking on the pristine floor, excess polish leaving a small trail of brown droplets behind. “How are you doing Prime Minister?”

“I’m doing well” Bagley cooly replied, “and yourself?”

Lazek looked him over. “Well, I do miss the tunnel. This was the only real benefit to being the Prime Minister. Trivial though. We have some important matters to discuss.”

“Indeed we do,” Bagley replied, “and what does your party need?”

Lazek smiled, his voice rising, “I’m glad you asked Bagley, truly glad. We want a bigger welfare net. Specifically, we want help for people living in the oil slums and manufacturing towns.”

Bagley frowned for a moment, glancing over at Lazek several times. “Well Lazek, I’m not sure we can do that. You know we’re only asking for a few billion, and that would cost upwards of a trillion.”

“Do you not want to expand your military spending?” Lazek exploded.

Hiram shook his head, “not at that cost. You know it’s too high.”

“When my grandfather made this nation,” Lazek III began.

“Your grandfather founded the Federalist Party,” Bagley curtly replied, angered at the sudden attempt at emotional attacks. Lazek turned directly to Bagley, enraged at the attempt to stop his new welfare program.

“Well it seems you don’t know your own party allies when you see them,” Lazek whispered. “The social democrats will not support any measure supporting increased military spending, nor will we ever support further market expansions that your agenda has called for.”

Hiram Bagley waved him away, turning again to the windows to watch the brilliant orange sun continue to rise. The rays streaked through the streets, with huge skyscrapers only serving as an impediment to the beautiful view.

After a meditative hour, Prime Minister Bagley donned his suit coat and walked towards the Parliament. The soldiers opened the doors, allowing him to pass through to the cold marble offices. The constant tapping of his shoes on the floors echoed through the rooms, reverberating throughout the entire building. He came to the intricate oak carved doors and clasped the golden handles, and as he opened it, the lights and ambience of the Parliament filling him with a dreadful nervousness and an excited hope. As he continued his walk to his seat, the speaker’s call for order sliced through the heavy noise.

“All rise for the Prime Minister,” the speaker bellowed.

Bagley stood, and took his place at the majority pulpit. He opened his binder, and began the inevitable questioning period. “My administration thus far has been able to advance the standing of Federalist Unions in world affairs, economically, and politically. We are on track to finish with a 6% GDP increase by the end of this year, currently rest at 2.6% unemployment, and have increased the average wage by 39 dollars. Currently, one area which we lack is in military spending. I have requested a new military budget to be voted on immediately after the questioning period ends, which will expand our current spending on the military, but mostly to our underdeveloped air force and space technology. People who oppose these measures simply do so out of their own selfish reasons, instead of allowing our nation to take its rightful place among the best militaries in the world.”

Bagley stayed standing, as the speaker called on Lazek III to begin questioning him.

“When I suggested we expand welfare today,” Lazek began, “you said we didn’t have the funds. Yet now you call for an expansion of military spending. Where do these funds come from?” He finished, evoking cheers from the members of the opposition.

“As I also told you this morning, finding funds to send a few billion will be much easier than finding the cash to pay for a trillion dollars worth of welfare while simultaneously crippling our economic growth. Let us remember, remember, when he was in charge, our GDP not only shrank, unemployment went up to 15.7%! This is why we don’t listen to the social democrats on economic policy!” The parliament erupted, cheers and boos echoing across the room. The speaker slammed the gavel on his desk, attempting to force order onto the chaos.

Lazek stood up, “The only reasons you’ve had economic growth is because you found more oil! Of course your economy has grown.”

Hiram smirked. “He claims the only way we can grow an economy is oil. Well perhaps the failed Prime Minister ought to look at some other policies we did: slashing 3 million pages of regulations, cutting business taxes, and eliminating tariffs entirely. Yet he wants to claim that the only way for an economy to grow is finding oil. Let me guarantee you that if the leader of the opposition takes office again, even oil won’t save our economy!” The crowd erupted again, but quickly quieted as Hiram signaled for silence once more.

Various members of parliament stood, waiting for their turn to ask questions. Hiram dealt with them deftly, kicking out arguments underneath Parliamentarians and deftly using evidence to back up his points. At the end of the 3 hour session, the tap of his shoes on the cold floor rang again as he left to deal with rumours of a tribal apocolypse.

The call came to him as he walked from a lunch to a negotiating room. “Sir,” Boris Began, “we passed it 61-39.”

“Thank you Boris” he whispered.

Search and Destroy - Košice
Skull Squad

Following the destruction of the primary rebel forces in Prešov in late January, the Prussian Army and Combined Arm Troops embarked on a large campaign as a part of Phase 3 of Operation Winter Storm to eliminate the remaining rebels that have taken up hiding in towns and villages across Slovakia. With extremely low morale - the rebel forces were surrendering in large swathes. Although the rebels were quickly diminishing in numbers - over fifteen percent of the rebellion had gone into hiding.

“A few days of action - and now we are back to search and destroy operations!” shouts an angry Joseph. “At this point - the army sees more action than we do.”

“Well, be glad that our missions feature a bit more of a punch” Hans says in response, as he is checking the scope on his weapon. “At least you are not performing guard duty at a miscellaneous outpost.”

“He has a point, Joseph. Last time we were sent to an outpost of any sorts, you got more drunk than my father!” Rüdiger says. “Enjoy the rest - I am sure in the coming times, we will need plenty.” Rüdiger enjoyed his time away from the front more than any of the other members of his squad. To him, it allowed him to enjoy many amenities that were not well provided on the front - showers, freshly made bratwurst, and relaxing furniture.

“I take it we should search this house” Franz says, in what is the first statement he has made all day. “This house just looks…. Skeptical.” He says. “There are sheets of metal across the backyard, and there is what seems to be a bipod on the upper right window.”

“Good eye, Franz.” Rüdiger says. “We were to search this house already, but thank you for the heads up. Men, have your weapons ready incase we get into a firefight.”

The soldiers nodded, and walked to the front door of the house. Rüdiger knocks on the door with three loud knocks. “Open up - this is a mandatory search being conducted by the Prussian Combined Arms Troopers. Refusal to open up will result in severe consequences.”

A few seconds go by, and there is no response. “Eichmann, turn on your thermal detector. Check for any lifeforms.” Rüdiger says. “For what it is worth - this new technology is useful.”

“Lifeforms detected on the basement floor, sir. At least six. There are two figures approaching the door now.” Eichmann says. “Understood. Eichmann, take Franz to the basement floor. I am sure the two of you can deal with a small number of rebel scum. The rest of us, search the house.”

A person opens up the door. “It is late, sorry to keep you out here for so long friends. Come on in - I have nothing to hide.” the unknown figure says. “Good, then the Kaiser will be most delighted. We do not take lightly to traitors, as you know.” Rüdiger tells him as the squad enters the house.

“The conflict is almost over, Franz. We will be home in no time - or having a splendid vacation in Hamburg.” Eichmann says. “I have never been too fond of Hamburg. The city life was never a life I could adopt when I lived in Frankfurt. Too busy, too fast." Franz responds.

"It is only too fast because you have not tamed the beast! When we return home, I will show you the guide to a life of pleasure - beer, bratwurst, and breasts. The three B's." Eichmann tells him. Although disciplined - Eichmann was a party-man and no one to keep a cold beer from. "In Bavaria, we had plenty of beer and bratwurst. As for the latter, it was never something I paid much attention to - I'd rather have a good paycheck rather than waste my time with pointless love."

The two begin searching around on the first floor attempting to find a door to gain access to the basement and the second figure mentioned previously has entered the room with them. "This is some find gold, madam. How long has this been in the family?" Franz asks.

The woman is slow to respond "Ever since the end of the Second World War" she says, gripping something on her waist. "What are you grabbing?" Eichmann asks. "Oh, nothing. My pants - they are a size too large." the woman says. "Noted" Eichmann responds.

Franz continues his search, and notices a few scratches on the floor leading to the legs of a cabinet. "Evidence that this piece of furniture has been moved." He thinks to himself, promptly looking around for any hidden door handle - of which he spots one. He pulls it, and a sliding door reveals a stairway to what can only be presumed as a basement. "Eichmann, help me move this cabinet. I believe we can investigate in here as well."

The two move the cabinet, as the woman interrupts them. "There is no need to go down there - we are hiding nothing." Eichmann responds. "If you have nothing to hide, then you will let us conduct our search."

Franz enters the stairway first, although the woman does not move. "Follow him, those are orders. I will be behind you."

"Odd. Usually, the lights would not be on already. Do you have an explanation, madam?" Eichmann asks. "The lights are always on, sir." She says. Eichmann, with a sigh says "People like you - do not understand how to save money."

"Hypocritical of you, Eichmann. Don't you spend your money on beer?" Franz says with a bit of humor. "I am not wasteful with my money spent, unlike Hans."

"I believe we've reached the end of the stairway, let us begin our-" A shot blazes past Franz and hits the wall, narrowly missing him. Franz, reacting quickly brings his gun up to bear on the person that had just fired upon him. "NO!" the woman shouted, bringing up her pistol trying to fire on Franz. Eichmann acted quickly, raising his gun and pushing her to the wall using the weapon, and then pulled back and stabbed the woman with his bayonet. Forcing the bayonet in her, he then pulled the trigger of his rifle - her guts being blown out onto the wall.

"Mother!" Both Eichmann and Franz turned to a group of children huddled up in a corner of the room. "Drop your weapon! Do not make me kill you too!" Eichmann says, gun drawn towards the gun-wielding kid. "You killed my mother!" he shouts, and brings his gun to bear too.

The kid was quick to the trigger, but Eichmann is faster. The child drops dead, a well placed shot in the forehead takes him down. "We have found the targets in the basement. Two casualties, a woman and one child."

The children are weeping as the man rushes down the stairs, grabbed by Rüdiger. "YOU'VE KILLED MY ELDEST SON! MY WIFE!" He shouts. "They are enemies of the state, mister. If you do not comply with our orders, you will be dead like them, too. Tell us the location of the other rebels, and your life will be-" The man screams, and launches himself at Eichmann, but is kicked down by Franz and promptly shot.

"Good work, Franz. Take these children to the first floor. We will have a truck come to take these delinquents to the camps - Prussia will install the ideals of Bismarck into them." Rüdiger says.

"Understood, sir."

The United Monatian Asian Federation rises!

History of mass rebellion had left the Asian nation states to a myriad of several intense civil conflicts. As a result of the PRC’s involvement by further fueling the civil war in Northern Japan, North Korea, and Hong Kong back in the latter years after which the newly founded People's Republic of China have initiated its ill fated conquest for Asia and SouthEast Asia. However, it had left the countries near the mainland, swarming with millions of revolutionaries and rebels, after their own initial downfall with their people, seeking to gain control of the Japanese, Koreans, Taiwans and many more nearby. Jumpstarting a massive civil war and briefly forming the new independent Manchurian Empire. Briefly sieging, the Chinese embassy in Tokyo, and another one in Hong Konh, as well as multiple bombings occurring in the industrial districts of said countries, except for Japan, with a stronger military force, they were able to hold the rebels back from reaching their essential industries. Sickened by the massive ongoing conflicts in mainland china after the loss of power from its government, the Eastern and Southern Chinese states formed their own government, to fend off major rebel groups within the dissolved country. As the conflict soon got out of hand, their Asian governments of the Eastern China, Southern China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Southern Sakhalin voted to form the United Coalition Forces to bolster their military numbers and resources to fend off against the communists and ultimately declared war.

In the year 2034, the United Alliance between the Coalition and Expeditionary Forces saw multiple crucial victories in Hokkaido and Guangdong, taking back industrial heartlands of the countries, using it to bolster their arsenal for a planned final offensive that would eradicate the rebels and potential Communists within the territory, for good.

The United Coalition Military began to bolster and draft their military power and resources into the invasion of Taiwan, also sending dispatch forces to assist The battle of Taipei lasted for many months, the UCF fought harshly and without mercy against the invasive communists. Japanese ships and South Korean ships fought fiercely to defend the Japanese, Hong Kong, and Taiwanese harbors, countless men successfully defended the mountainous areas of Taiwan, setting up major defenses on the western lower mainland. Forming guerilla tactics to further weaken the military strength of the communist forces. In December, 2034, communist forces were successfully destroyed in the Sin-ni valley, trapping the lone forces from all sides. The United Alliance saw more victories, including the retaking of Hokkaido, cornering the Northern rebels with artillery barrages and an offensive, utilizing many soldiers and mechanized units, finally defeating the communists. With the Northern territories successfully annexed and taken by the UCF, they move southwards to fight in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.

On February 26th, 2035. Thousands of UCF troops advanced to Taiwan and the coast nearby Macau and Hong Kong, supported by both artillery, ships, and tanks to surround and attack the rebel front from behind. After several months of defending the two territories, the regiments saw the opportunity to advance and push the front, further increasing the pressure on the remaining foes caught in the crossfire from all sides. The battle of Zhongshan and Shenzhen, lasted for a day, calling it a United Alliance victory, although both sides suffered severe casualties. After that, Taiwan was the final point towards pacifying the rebellion, several millions of soldiers from the UA were deployed to siege Taiwan. On February 30th, the battle was over. The rebels were pushed out, and Taiwan was handed to the United Coalition Forces, where they will be planning ahead for the future to prepare for the so-called United Invasion.

United Invasion of Jinan

2-3 months after massive organizing and planning by the Military HQ and generals, their logistics grew largely complex. Constant drone airstrikes conducted by the army hampered rebel operations within Jinan. Consistent harassment operations were also conducted by mini-drones used by spies to disable certain communication equipment and radar salvaged by rebels, further reducing their efficiency to defend themselves within the large capital city. June 3rd, 2037, 0600. The invasion begins with 2 fleets consisting of several missile destroyers, landing ships, and aircraft carriers, assisted by the air force and its drones, targeting several anti-aircraft batteries and radar vehicles. 2 hours later, at 0800, air bases within Japan and Taiwan, conducted several airstrikes within the heart of Jinan, the base of the rebels located via satellites. 1040, fifty thousand troops and 20 armored tank divisions penetrated through city borders, assisted by the, now United Chinese Faction from the Southern Chinese Mainland. Several armored divisions of the UCF, Type 95s MBTs race to the capital city to group up with the Japanese Type 2 MBTs and form a flanking position to catch the rebels from behind. Mechanized brigades follow the MBTs from a few kilometers behind to capture specific choke points within the city, preventing an escape from the rebels after their inevitable defeat. 2nd day into the United Invasion of Jinan, the rebel soon began to crumble at all fronts from the south east and south west. Tank divisions and mechanized brigades encircled the isolated rebel groups, unbeknownst to the heavy shelling and bombardment that will soon take place. Several F-15 ground-strike squadrons, escorted by F-2 fighter jets left their airbase in Hiroshima and Taipei, onroute to Jinan. 1340, groundstrike precisely hit their designated targets, successfully destroying improvised bunkers built by the rebelling tribes, unharassed. Soon after, the deployed infantry, armored, and mechanized brigades closed in on the rebel’s headquarters, forming a last stand formation against the UCF army. The battle came to an end at 1523. A decisive victory for the Coalition.

Millions were displaced all over the country, many more were injured or killed, the civil war ensued for 1-2 years, leaving untold suffering for the several millions affected. With the rebels largely eradicated, now the affected countries have a new challenge ahead of them, to reconstruct all of their damaged and destroyed infrastructures, costing several billions. With the aid of the United States and Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Guangodng, Macau, and Hong Kong, oversaw many funds to revitalize their ruined economy, however, their political and government structure needed more work and effort than hoped. Although some forces were still stationed in Sakhalin, Japan, Taiwan, and the Southern Chinese Mainland to prevent any invasions and ambushes from the rebel tribes.

The Solution.

After the years of Civil War, the affected nations have moved on and started reconstruction to rebuild their destroyed infrastructures, although their governments were still in horrible shape. The sheer destruction left by the aftermath of the civil war had completely declined the countries of their ability to administer essential control to efficiently bring the countries back into the world stage. 2036 and 2037, was revealed to be one of the darkest times in the UCF, integrity began to decline and efficiency is slowly diminishing. They desperately needed a new change of government and fast.

But to no avail, the nations remained divided once again, some tried to form different coalitions of their own but ultimately failed due to lack of a strong political structure and a stronger nation to govern it. All hope was almost destroyed before, a G summit was called, which includes Taiwan, Macau, Hong Kong, United Coastal Chinese Mainland, Sakhalin, and Japan, to formalize and find a new solution. For many days, their governments argued to a better method to restoring political order and prevent such tyranny from establishing an oppressive dictatorship and authoritarianism. For months, they’ve debated over the potential possibilities and consequences, carefully analyzing each before they make an approval.

Finally on March, 23rd, 2037. It was then, a proposed Federation was announced by all governments, this solution would significantly improve their government structure, which would include all government officials and politicians in all included member countries within said Federation. It will now be called the United Coalition Federation for many years to come.

The Rise of the United Monatian Asian Federation.

The UCF has enjoyed over many decades of stability and economic prosperity, however the Federation began to crumble due to slight corruption but mostly on the poor handling and management of a particular leader, now torn off from the history books and nearly forgotten. Though the UCF during the several decades have massively develop new technologies that would help aid in the Federation's progress of scientific advancements, mostly renowned for their impressive info, biomedical, infrastructure, and military technologies.

In the year 2040, a new contender to unite the Asian Nations together starts within Japan, their leaders calling themselves the Monatians, have worked alongside the Oshi, Sahka, and Ishiga Monats and other Asian countries to build a more advanced and sustainable federated republics/states. Both the Republics of Japan and Taiwan, along with the United Chinese Mainland have agreed to join this new United Federation. In hopes towards bringing prosperity and the needed scientific and technological advancements, to help the world advance once more to the never ending changes. Bringing more inclusiveness to it's newly formed central government, bringing several different politicians and officials from many different regional governments from its member countries. Thus bringing a new federated order to rule the nation for many years to come, while preparing necessary defense against the remaining rebelling tribes outside its borders.

A brief history of "Down Under" (1770-2070)
Colonial Era (1770-1850)
The land known as "Australia" was first discovered by Dutch explorers in 1606, when Willem Janszoon landed in Far North Queensland and promptly left after discovering there was nothing of value to be exploited. This pattern was followed by many explorers from the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal and Britain, explorers of note being Willem de Vlamingh, the first to sail up the Swan River. Everything changed in 1770 with the arrival of James Cook, who landed in Sydney Harbour and sparked the arrival of British colonists on the east coast of the continent. The west lagged behind from the beginning, with Captain James Stirling only founding the Swan River Colony in 1829 in the south-west of the continent, a settlement which would later become Perth. In the early days, Perth competed with Albany on the south coast for control over the western third of the continent, however the Swan River Colony rapidly expanded, much faster than Albany did, settling further south in Bunbury and Augusta in 1829 and 1830. The colony began the push over the Darling Ranges, founding two key settlements on the other side, York and Toodyay. In 1832, the British government formally recognized the authority of the Swan River Colony over Albany, renaming the area to Perth, and the overall colony to the Colony of Western Australia.

Eureka, Gold and the Birth of the Commonwealth (1850-1854)
In 1850, the discovery of gold in the Darling Ranges drew many into the area from Asia and Europe, directly competing for migrants favour with the Colony of Victoria, which was also undergoing a gold rush. The gold rush, and the sudden influx of workers and miners into the colony, drew together a melting pot of cultures and politics, however it was in the mines of Toodyay that the first ideas of independence in the West began circulating, spurred on by pamphlets imported from Victoria, produced by miners in Ballarat. As more and more people flooded into the colony, unrest fermented amongst the miners, at poor living and working conditions, the high prices of mining licenses, and perceived favouritism from the British government towards Victoria and New South Wales. In 1854, this spilled over in Victoria with the Eureka Stockade, a rebellion of miners who burned their miners' licenses and declared the colony's independence from Britain. Assaults from the British garrisons in both Ballarat and the larger capital of Melbourne failed to break the miners' defensive stockade in the centre of Ballarat, and their success drew popular support from colonial citizens across the continent. A similar rebellion broke out in the mines of Toodyay, however colonial authorities rapidly and brutally crushed it, opening fire on a similar stockade with cannons and rifle fire, killing 80 miners. The battle, called the Toodyay Massacre by workers and rebel press both in the West and in the East, turned the public against colonial authorities. Facing a widespread revolt across the continent, and with little financial incentive to remain in the continent due to high unrest and low productivity in the mines, British garrisons abandoned the colonies, and the Crown formally cut the colonies loose, with soldiers moving to postings in Company India and colonial Canada.

Independence and More Gold (1854-1900)
Now independent, the seven colonies elected to federate into the Commonwealth of Australasia, with the colonies voting in favour of Melbourne being the capital, as the closest major city to the home of the rebellion, Ballarat. However, significant opposition came from delegates from Queensland and New South Wales, who felt that Sydney, as the oldest and largest city on the continent, should be the capital. The Victorian Gold Rush continued for another 15 years, bringing in migrants and financial capital to fund the development of Melbourne into one of the most developed cities in the world at the time. However, in Western Australia, the Toodyay Gold Rush ended only two short years after the rebellion, leaving hundreds of miners jobless, who promptly fled the state to Australasia's seventh state, New Munster, the south island of the New Zealand Archipelago and the site of the New Munster Gold Rush, where large quantities of gold were discovered around the town of Dunedin. The loss of hundreds of settlers and a major industry threw the state into chaos, and a period of economic decay occurred lasting until the 1890s, when the discovery of gold in large portions of the south-east of the state began a gold rush on the scale of the Victorian rush 40 years before. The town of Kalgoorlie sprung up 700km inland from Perth on the fringes of the desert around the largest area of gold, and as settlers and money flowed into the state, the government began a series of infrastructure projects such as the construction of the longest water pipeline in the world to provide Kalgoorlie with freshwater, as well as the construction of a modern port on the mouth of the Swan River, both designed by Irish immigrant C Y O'Connor. Efforts were made to invest the money into developing industries to allow gold rush migrants to continue working after the gold rush finished, however many of these were only partially successful and many miners simply moved on to the Yukon Rush in the late 1890's, and the state remained lower in population and economic output compared to its eastern counterparts.

Boom, Bust and Industrialisation for the West (1900-2027)
The 1900's brought boom and bust for Western Australia and Australasia. She sat out on the First World War, preferring to use the war period to develop her industrial base, especially in Victoria and New South Wales, where Melbourne and Sydney swelled in size and grandeur. The 1920's brought more prosperity for the East, while the West languished in stagnation, which rapidly turned again to decay as wheat and wool prices crashed in the late 1920's and continued throughout the 1930's due to the Great Depression. The region and nation remained in general squalor until the end of the Second World War, which Australasia also remained on the sidelines of. The end of the war started a massive migrant boom as hundreds of thousands of refugees fled their homes to start a new life in Australasia. This migrant boom swelled the population of Western Australia and finally provided the conditions necessary for industrial development, centred around Perth and fuelled by minerals produced in the state, as well as in the coal mines of New South Wales. Industrialisation continued unabated throughout the rest of the 20th century and into the 21st, especially as the discovery of large swathes of iron ore and bauxite allowed the large scale production of steel and aluminium. In these times, the state truly prospered and by 2027, the population had finally broken 3 million, 200 years after the inital settlers landed.

The Islands Problem (2000-2041)
However, for Australasia in general, the 21st century period would be the hardest in the nation's history. Starting in the early 2000's, a rise in nationalism amongst Maoris led to the formation of the United Tribes of New Zealand in New Ulster and New Munster, a separatist group who waged a costly decades-long guerrilla war on the central government for their independence under their anarcho-tribalist ideals. Despite the relative prosperity of the period, Australasia racked up large amounts of debt to continue their war against the United Tribes and maintain control over the Archipelago, borrowing off anyone who would lend them money or guns. By 2030, sovereign debt had reached $8 trillion AUD, compared to a GDP of just under $4 trillion AUD. Disaster struck in 2040, as a drop in iron ore prices internationally led to a collapse in the domestic market, which caused both the mining and manufacturing sectors to go into damage control, spreading the problem across the nation and plunging the Commonwealth into a depression. With debt at over twice the rapidly shrinking GDP, Australasia was forced to declare bankruptcy in early 2041, and withdrew its forces from New Ulster and New Munster, conceding defeat and effectively recognising the authority of the United Tribes over the Archipelago.

The Fall of the Commonwealth (2040-2070)
In Australia itself, the situation looked grim, the 2040 election just after the collapse of the iron ore market saw a surge in the popularity of radical parties in both Western Australia and New South Wales, and the declaration of bankruptcy and the loss of New Zealand only increased their popularity amongst the people, and more disturbingly amongst the armed forces, particularly One Nation, who promised retribution against the Maori and the expansion of Australasia to secure economic stability and growth. By 2042, One Nation had secured the support of all three branches of the military, and successfully conducted a coup against the socialist Labor government of James Mulder, ousting him and declaring the centralised Australasian Republic based in Sydney, New South Wales. States such as Victoria and South Australia resented this loss of autonomy, and their state parliaments declared loyalty to the Commonwealth, raising militias to fight the Republic from its power base in Melbourne. In Tasmania and Western Australia, secessionist movements seized the moment to declare independence, viewing themselves as better off without worrying about the issues of the other states. By 2045, the conflict continued, and Australasia was viewed by the international community as a failed state. As the civil war continued, splinter movements and fringe groups began to form and grow in each side, and the country began to splinter further, as states split into cities and towns vying for control over each other. By 2070, the conflict had begun to stabilise as groups rose to dominate each state, and in Western Australia we find Swanovia, based in the south-west around Perth, it's capital.

Rise of the West (2070)
It is written in the history books that Australia collapsed many years ago into hundreds of smaller citystates and townships, with the major cities becoming battlegrounds for even smaller states trying to legitimise their claim by holding the Parliament or other key government buildings. Out of the rubble and conflict of Perth emerged Swanovia, a unified coalition of townships which conquered first Perth, before consolidating the South-West peacefully with the newfound governing legitimacy, before turning its larger population and resource pool on the even smaller states in the Wheatbelt, pushing the frontier north and east through the use of aircraft, artillery and tanks in a show of force to encourage the capitulation of towns even further out. As it stands, the frontier has stabilised in the East at Esperance and Kalgoorlie, and in the North at Denham, Mount Magnet and Leonora, however this may change as the expansionist President Henry Adams of the Liberal Party rises to power in Perth in 2070, his inauguration speech heralding the "Birth of a Nation", and Swanovia's desire to consolidate first the West, and then the continent.

**Formation of a new Power**

Deep off in Asia in several island nations no one has even heard of, a new power awakened. The new island republic, dubbed the United Republic of the Islands or URI. The island nations of the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Bougainville officially formed this republic several days ago. Upon formation, all independant island governments were dissolved and an entirely new election took place to vote in the leader and parliament members of the first official united URI government.

The Presidential came first and before long, Dolin Jackson was elected as the first president of the URI. A native of the Solomon Islands, Jackson is a charismatic individual who plans on putting the URI and its citizens first.

A day after Dolin Jackson was sworn in, the parliament elections began. 50 representatives were elected by the people. Most were primarily independent as political parties have yet to form in the young country.

Immediately after the parliament was voted and sworn in, President Jackson began with reforms and changes.

**Military**

Neither of the independent nations had a military and in order to maintain the independence of the URI and it’s citizens, a national military was formed. To start with only a land branch was formed with an Air Force and Navy planned for the future. 420 AK-47s and 1 RPG-7 were donated from Manchuria and 3,000 plasma sniper rifles were bought from Germany. A recruiting campaign quickly recruited over 4,500 soldiers. 3,500 for combat and the rest for logistical support. While officially the army, these troops have the aura of a ragtag militia, with most of them just simply wearing their regular civilian clothes. This will be the case until sufficient factories are set up to produce uniforms.

Training will start immediately, with a boot camp and various training camps set up within the deep jungles of the URI. Jungle warfare will be this army’s speciality.

**Infrastructure**

The biggest of the many problems facing the URI is infrastructure. Many islands don't even have access to fresh water, proper sanitation or paved roads. Most of the nation’s small economy is dedicated to fixing this task and already thousands of jobs have already been created to truly transform the URI into the steps of becoming a 1st world nation and improving the quality of life for its people.

**Economy**

Yet another major problem is the economy. With a gdp of only 2.575 billion, improving the economy is vital to maintaining the URI long term. Luckily, there is untapped potential in the deep jungles, grazing land and clear waters. These resources will be tapped and used to build a better future for the young people of the URI.

The Turning of Austria

Skull Squad

"Come on, move quickly, we must get to President J.B Thompson before he can notify any guards." Rüdiger says, as the Skull Squad runs down the hallway to his office. Previously, Kaiser Fritz Marshall had ordered the Austrian president to comply with the demands of the Pro-Prussian Austrian government. This was not acknowledged by him, though - and to deal with JB, Skull Squad was sent in. The mission was to be quick, fetch the president and get out of the country as soon as possible. The squad arrived at the door of the Presidents office, and quickly barged in guns raised "Inform the CEO that he can arrive in two hours time, we can discus- hold on." he says as he hangs up the phone, and quickly gets up. "What are you doing here? I was promised thirty six hours!"

"You are under arrest, President. You've failed to comply with Kaisers orders - and now you are to see him yourself. Whether you live - is on your shoulders." Hans says. "This is heresy! This is not democracy!" The President yells in response. "You'd be right - Prussia is not a democracy - at least not entirely." Franz tells him. "Tell the office lady that you will be cancelling your plans."

Joseph opens the window and sends down a rope. "Come on, I am sure the Kaiser is waiting for your arrival."

The four members of the squad and the president come out the window and down the side of the building - entering a car in an alley. "I take it you have wiped the security footage, Gotthard."

"Of course - the Austrians won't know a thing - if they could see anything out of the pitch darkness."

"Good, Gotthard. Eichmann, let's get a move on. We're to be at the airport soon, and in Berlin for lunch. Beer is on me - but don't get too fancy." Rüdiger says.

"Oorah!" shouts Eichmann. "I will enjoy a great Frankfurter Beer!"

"I hope you boys understand the great tragedy you have unleashed upon Austria. This is the death of democracy - a prosperous republic." The President says in a solemn voice. "Democracy was always a failure in the way you had performed it. This is for the greater advancement of Europe - Prussia and Austria alike. Do not make me make your suffering any worst." Rüdiger tells him. "The majority calls for it, after all."

A few hours pass, and Skull Squad has arrived in Berlin. They escort the Austrian President to the office room of Kaiser Fritz Marshall, as he is discussing plans for an invasion of Poland with General Albert Pryde.

"A few well placed attacks, here and here should cripple the regional support for this area. The Polish air forces will- Rüdiger! Hello! I see you have brought J.B to my office with nothing but a scratch, how did everything go?" the Kaiser asks, as he gets up from examining a map.

"Good, Mein Kaiser." Rüdiger says. "And what of the security footage - the guards?" General Albert Pryde asks. "The guards were lured to another area of the building, and the security footage wiped. If you would like to know the details sir, we can share them with you and the Kaiser in a time where there is a not traitor in the room."

Both the general and the Kaiser smiled. "Good, Skull Squad is dismissed. I'll see to it you get an additional pay-raise."

As the squad leaves, Franz can't help but smile and speak. "I just got to see the Kaiser!" he says. "Never in my wildest dreams would I have expected that."

"You will have many occasions like that in the future. When you are the go-to special forces of the Prussian military, you tend to have a high recognition in the high command." Rüdiger tells him.

"Forget that - did you hear Poland? I see we will have a bit more action in the coming months!" Hans says, "I've always wanted a military vacation in the land of poles!"

"Knowing your luck, Hans - you won't have any luck finding 'polls", at least not with any girls!" Gotthard says. "Ah shut up, Gotthard! You know I am a lady's man!" Hans fires back in response.

"We can't be sure if they were actually girls." Franz says. "Did you hear that - the newcomer finally cracked a good joke!" The whole squad laughs. "Franz will be getting a second beer on me!" Rüdiger says. "As for you, Hans - you will have to show me what is the secret food menu at that bar. I am looking forwards to it based on your reviews."

The German Reichstag Building

The Reichstag building was filled with the commotion of politicians across the Prussian Empire. Today, it would voted upon whether the Kaiser should or should not procure the country of Austria as a province of the Prussian Empire. Although the Kaiser was going to take Austria anyways, he intended to put on a show - to make his claim valid among the world from the Prussian point of view. President JB been forced by the Kaiser had created a video the previous day stating his ambitions to have Austria become a part of the Prussian Empire. The Prussian Parliament, mainly pro-Kaiser was destined to vote for the annexation of Prussia, and any resistance more or less came at the cost of re-election for the politicians.

"Order! Order in the Reichstag!" shouted the Head Speaker of the Reichstag, Albrecht Schwartzmann. "We have tallied the votes of yesterdays Reichstag vote - and as Head Speaker of the Reichstag, I hereby announce that Austria is now part of the Prussian Empire." The building erupts into cheering, as Kaiser Fritz Marshall disappears into the back and returns to be escorted to his private estate.

Upon arriving there, he enters a dark basement, where President JB is tied to a chair in.

"You were a friend to me, Fritz. Why would you betray me." JB asks.

"You betrayed me, Thompson. You are a traitor to the idea of a New Prussia. However, your sacrifice will be noted as the first leap into this new era." The Kaiser raises a gun, and aims it to the head of JB. "Any last words?" he asks. J.B nods.

three gunshots can be heard

"So it is settled."

Improved Modern Harbors, Naval Ports, and CEM system established.

The rise of the Federation’s economy gave many problems to an ever growing issue of accommodating towards change, which gave the National Economy and Business Administration and the National Economic Bureau Administration to improve modern harbors and ports given the ability to haul various more produce goods domestically and internationally from other countries, further increasing and sustaining a global economic trade market. Almost all modern ports already constructed within the entire Federation are due in affect to said change in the next month and is stated to be finished in 3 months. A new mode of transporting goods into ships by trucks and rail, was also introduced by the administration, further increasing a higher level of security, transportation capabilities, and better accessibility.

The proposed composite enclosure method uses a plastic composite shell structure with tiny structural struts within layers of the composite, as well as inside the enclosure. Further enhancing the CEM structural strength and durability, and can easily be carried by the port cranes. The CEMs can also be portable by medium sized trucks via roads and freight trains, increasing the capacity of high quality products and other goods transported in and out of the Federation.

More roads, higher quality of roads, and efficient parking established in the Federation.

The severe increase of road use among civilians and CEM trucks used widely by many private and public companies and industries in every sector and regions of the Federation, due to its high durability, cheaper use, and easy transportable capabilities. Almost all truck deliveries use the CEM systems, thus significantly improving the growth of the economy, however, the introduction of the new system lead to the wider use of trucks on the road, which then contributed to the recent spike of road injuries and deaths within the Northern regions. Sources from the Central Government revealed by the free press and media, have made the clarity for the reasons to the recent spikes crystal clear. It was widely accepted the modern road qualities, was not enough to ensure safer travels. Some road systems in other sectors lacked the necessary signs, traffic lights, and access to the main roads. Taxes acquired for the past few months, were allocated to the improvement in all of roads by the Central Government, approximately 870 million dollars were spent to finish the expensive project. Generated around 120,000 jobs, and was quickly finished last month on October 4th, 2070.

Industries dedicated to repairing roads, proposed a cheaper and a much more efficient system by replacing all main cement roads with portable plastic roads with enhanced structural strength and durability. The Central Government and Administration of Transportation accepted the proposal, soon created various designs of the new Enhanced Plastic Road Systems (EPRS), by August 30th, 2070, two EPRS designs were chosen specifically for the busy commutes of several vehicles and geography, utilizing both specification requirements. Some main roads were successfully replaced with the new plastic designed roads, while some still utilize cement. The Central Government announced that more main road networks will be replaced with the innovative technology in the near future.

Other systems to ensure the safety and flow of traffic, the industries have installed multiple Traffic lights, parking systems, sidewalks, bus transportation, and strict road laws were established by the CG to be placed within all sectors of the Federation with strict police enforcement to drivers violating any of the important road laws. Thus drastically reducing death or injuries sustained by car accidents by almost 95% and will continue to drop in the latter years to come.

Improved agricultural and agronomy industries and marketing.

Agricultural marketing is inferred to cover the services involved in moving an agricultural product from the farm to the consumer. It is also the planning, organizing, directing and handling of agricultural produce in such a way as to satisfy the farmer, producer and the consumer. Numerous interconnected activities are involved in doing this, such as planning production, growing and harvesting, grading, packing and packaging, transport, storage, agro- and food processing, distribution, advertising and sales. Effectively, the term encompasses the entire range of supply chain operations. However, it's key function is to help direct these services, by providing competent and able market information, thereby linking the other operations into an integrated service with targeted outcomes.

Farmers dedicated to the occupation and studies of agriculture were given business incentives, to improve the soil quality of arable land, transforming some farm companies into many trending soil fertilizer industries, which generated 84,000 jobs for many other farmers and careers related to agriculture and chemistry. Fertilization methods and more enhanced fertilizers, which were strictly regulated by the Central Government and the Administration of Agriculture and Farming, were created, further accumulating crop production each month. Producing over 3 billion worth of food in the last few months and the agricultural industry now worth over 1 billion, set to increase over 3.4 billion in the next 2 years.

More accessible and high quality EPRS roads were established in the farms, directly connecting to several larger and smaller markets that can be easily sold for a cheap price, thus enlarging the supply and demand. An estimated 400 million dollars to build and install more of the new EPRS roads to connect to said markets. However the past month has shown an outstanding rise in the Federation's economic and commerce growth rate, advancing the nation's GDP and GDP per capita.

The quality of the occupation had been improved by the Central Government collaborating with the Administration of Agriculture and Farming. Farmers received incentives and better farming equipment as well as practice, to meet the essential regulations imposed on the industry to prevent over-farming and an over-use chemical or biological  substance used to promote faster and healthier crop growth. However, a license to work professionally as a farmer in the agricultural industry is now a necessary demand by the Administration, as well as a limited purchase and development of farmlands were also imposed to prevent any unnecessary damage to sensitive environments, damage to the soil quality, and flooding, by unlicensed farmers, due to lack of knowledge and study of the particular landscape. To compensate for the lengthy process, the occupation was given a more appropriate salary to help agriculturists and agronomists improve the arable land. Furthermore, a compensation fee was added if a disaster such as drought, flooding, and any natural disasters, damages the land and the produced crops, to assist in redevelopment.

Double cropping will only be advised by the Administration, if the location of arable land is sufficient enough in its soil quality and water irrigation systems to maintain the practise.

Significantly (WAD) studies and increase women's education.

Gender and development is an interdisciplinary field of research and applied study that implements a feminist approach to understanding and addressing the disparate impact that economic development and globalization have on people based upon their location, gender, class background, and other socio-political identities. A strictly economic approach to development views a country’s development in quantitative terms such as job creation, inflation control, and high employment – all of which aim to improve the ‘economic wellbeing’ of a country and the subsequent quality of life for its people. In terms of economic development, quality of life is defined as access to necessary rights and resources including but not limited to quality education, medical facilities, affordable housing, clean environments, and low crime rate. Gender and development considers many of these same factors, however, gender and development emphasizes efforts towards understanding how multifaceted these issues are in the entangled context of culture, government, and globalization. Accounting for this need, gender and development implements ethnographic research, research that studies a specific culture or group of people by physically immersing the researcher into the environment and daily routine of those being studied, in order to comprehensively understand how development policy and practices affect the everyday life of targeted groups or areas.

the study of gender’s relation to development has gathered major interest amongst scholars and international policymakers. The field has undergone major theoretical shifts, beginning with Women in Development (WID), shifting to Women and Development (WAD), and finally becoming the contemporary Gender and Development (GAD). Each of these frameworks emerged as an evolution of its predecessor, aiming to encompass a broader range of topics and social science perspectives. In addition to these frameworks, the Central Government and Administration of Education and Administration of Social Welfare have implemented policies, programs, and research regarding gender and development, contributing a neoliberal and smart economics approach to the study. Examples of these policies and programs include Structural Adjustment Programs (SAPs), outsourcing, and privatizing public enterprises, all of which direct focus towards economic growth and suggest that advancement towards gender equality will follow. Ecofeminist perspectives confront industrial practices that accompany development, including deforestation, pollution, environmental degradation, and ecosystem destruction.

The socioeconomic impact of female education constitutes a significant area of research within international development. Increases in the amount of female education in regions tends to correlate with high levels of development. Some of the effects are related to economic development. Women's education increases the income of women and leads to growth in GDP. Other effects are related to social development. Educating girls leads to a number of social benefits, including many related to women's empowerment.

This individual monetary gain creates an increase in the overall economic productivity of a country. Girls are underrepresented in schooling, meaning that investments aimed specifically at educating women should produce bigger dividends. Looking holistically at the opportunity cost of not investing in girls, the total missed GDP growth is between 1.5% and 1.9%. When looking at different regions, it is estimated that 0.4–0.9% of the difference in GDP growth is accounted for solely by differences in the gender gap in education. Thus the incentives to invest in women's education was prioritized and established by the Central Government. Significantly increasing the percentage of the Federation's GDP and GDP growth rate by almost 4% this year 2070, as hundreds of millions officially joined the workforce in multiple industries.

In addition to total economic growth, women's education also increases the equitability of the distribution of wealth in a society. Increased women's education is important for achieving this as it targets the impoverished women, a particularly disadvantaged group. There is also evidence that lower gender disparity in educational attainment for a developing country correlates with lower overall income disparity within society.

The WAD paradigm stresses the relationship between women, and the work that they perform in their societies as economic agents in both the public and domestic spheres. It also emphasizes the distinctive nature of the roles women play in the maintenance and development of their societies, with the understanding that purely the integration of women into development efforts would serve to reinforce the existing structures of inequality present in societies overrun by patriarchal interests. In general, WAD is thought to offer a more critical conceptualization of women's position compared to WID.

The WAD approach emphasizes the distinctive nature of women's knowledge, work, goals, and responsibilities, as well as advocating for the recognition of their distinctiveness. This fact, combined with a recognized tendency for development agencies to be dominated by patriarchal interests, is at the root of the women-only initiatives introduced by WAD subscribers.

Community Economic Development Advances in the Federation!

In Asia for the last 2 years the Asian Foundation has supported Asian initiatives to foster inclusive economic growth and broaden economic opportunities. The Foundation designs and implements economic programs in three core areas business environments for private sector growth, Entrepreneurship Development and Regional Economic Cooperation.

Theories and strategies

The most significant aspect of community economic development, aside from the fact that it focuses on economic development in specific localities, is that focuses on the process of community building. This “community” aspect of CED assumes that the community will play a dynamic role in economic development processes and that community development will contribute to sustained economic development and vice versa. In this understanding, the community is considered both as an input and output in this CED equation.

Looking at CED from an economic viewpoint, the initial purpose of such an approach is the creation of local jobs and the stimulation of business activity. Integrally linked to these purposes are strategies to increase access to capital, stimulate asset building, improve the general business climate, and link citywide economic development efforts to specific community development efforts.

Increasing access to capital is an extremely important strategy for community economic development. Historically, residents in poor neighborhoods have experienced great difficulty finding access to capital because they are traditionally viewed as credit risks. In places where banks do offer services, these residents face other structural barriers such as minimum deposit requirements, high service fees, and complex paperwork. To solve these problems, a community economic development approach would develop alternate neighborhood community development financial institutions such as community development credit unions, community development banks, and community development venture capital funds.

Improving the general business climate is also integral to community economic development. Strategies to do so would include improving the infrastructure and physical appearance of commercial areas, the quality of quantity of residential housing, and the transportation systems in a neighborhood. While these may not directly economic activities, they serve to strengthen the economic well being of an area because it encourages businesses to locate there.

More Social Businesses established.

Profits realized by the business are reinvested in the business itself (or used to start other social businesses), with the aim of increasing social impact, for example expanding the company’s reach, improving the products or services or in other ways subsidizing the social mission.

Unlike a profit-maximizing business, the prime aim of a social business is not to maximize profits (although generating profits is desired). Furthermore, business owners are not receiving any dividend out of the business profits, if any.

On the other hand, unlike a non-profit, a social business is not dependent on donations or on private or public grants to survive and to operate, because, as any other business, it is self-sustainable. Furthermore, unlike a non-profit, where funds are spent only once on the field, funds in a social business are invested to increase and improve the business' operations on the field on an indefinite basis. Per Yunus' quote: "A charity dollar has only one life; a social business dollar can be invested over and over again."

The needed social businesses increasingly grabbed the attention of the Central Government as the industry proved to have established better business operations and improving the growth of small and moderately sized communities in both rural and urban areas of the nation. However the needed investments and incentives by the provisional government were highly requested in order to maintain the order of such a profound industry. The central government reported a rather large percent of the nation’s GDP growth rate, GDP per capita, and human development index, as a result of the social businesses hard at work to invest in people’s new businesses, such as farms, manufacturing facilities, and more thus improving overall life and economy.

A proposal by the Speaker of the Senate along with some members within the President’s cabinet was issued to both the Senate and Congress, debating towards the choice of initiating needed funds to expand existing social businesses both domestically and internationally, as well as incentives to create more social business. After a few days of discussions, the solution to pass the bill to nationalize social businesses and provide subsidies is passed!

The social businesses created within the Federation will increase ten fold to serve the people of the Monatian Asian Federation. It is expected that the GDP and GDP growth rate, along with the GDP per capita will increase by a few percent.

The Polish Incursion

When news came about that the Polish had been responsible for causing the rebel insurrection in Slovakia, the Prussian populace was - angered to say the least. It came time for the Prussians to retaliate, and in no better fashion did they do so than an invasion of Poland. The Kaiser always had intents on taking over Poland as part of his Prussian Empire, and of course had come up with a long - thought out plan to radicalize Polish civilians into believing a Prussian style way of life. Included in this was the diminishing of the views the poles held in regards to democracy, a key which would become part of his plan on incorporating the Polish into the empire. He had even pulled quite a few strings to teach standard Prussian classes in schools. By 2070, there was a large movement that was pro-Prussian in Poland, and this had caught the attention of the anti-Prussian government. In an attempt to break the bonds with Prussia, they had funded the insurgencies in Slovakia which were crushed quite quickly - much to the distaste of the Polish government. This gamble turned out to be a big bust, as once the firing had ceased in Slovakia, the guns were pointed at Poland.

The Operation, dubbed 'Cancelled' would see to a swift take over of Poland using blitzkrieg style tactics. Following pre-emptive missile and aircraft strikes on the Polish airfields and defenses in addition to important ground infrastructure the Prussian Army would move in on a dash to the capital city of Warsaw. Following the capture of Warsaw, Prussian forces would branch out to conquer any territories that held any prominent amount of Polish forces. Important transport hubs that would be useful to the Prussian Army would be spared from bombings, although roads, railways, and bases essential to the movement of Polish reinforcements would be destroyed. Through various collections of information, it could be assumed that the Polish military lacked a substantial advantage in technology however in some instances, had some advantages in numbers. This would be taken into account by the various commanders on the front line - who were ordered to use any available support to revoke any possible advantage the enemy could get.

The Kaisers Private Estate - Outskirts of Chemnitz

A knocking is heard on the door of the Kaisers private estate, it is Oberster General des preußischen Militärs Albert Pryde and those on the supreme military council; like Siegmund Hessel - Kommandierender General der Armee and Erik Kellner - Kommandierender General der Luftwaffe.

"What is the disturbance that summons my attention?" a disgruntled Kaiser asks. "The supreme military staff, sir."

"Ah yes, come in. My accomplices are on vacation in Kiel right now. It is too cold to be on the beach at this time of year - those fools. How is the plans for the Polish elimination coming?"

"Good, Mein Kaiser. The plan that you have wished for was formulated to your ideals and we expect the operation to be completed two weeks ahead of schedule." Pryde tells him.

"Good, good. What kind of interruptions can we see?" the Kaiser asks. "Drone attacks, guerilla warfare from reverse forces in the event they can be readied in time, and other such obstacles." Siegmund Hessel says. "Erik Kellner's forces in the air will defeat the poles with ease - and there is not too much fear in that department."

"Wonderful. Come in, I will prepare breakfast for everyone. I'll let you know - just because I rule a powerful nation does not mean I am reliant on brainless maids." The Kaiser laughs with a smile. "You still have the same humor that I saw in a young Fritz, many years ago. With all this stress, it is a miracle you still have that hair." Pryde although younger than Fritz had accompanied Fritz for decades, and was quintessential in allowing him to rise to power. The Kaiser grabs a platter with several assets of tea. "I could've say the same for you, Pryde - now look how little hair you have!"

Domestic Projects

It's no secret that the URI is incredibly underdeveloped. Compared to the rest of the established nations across the globe, the URI is primal. There are many problems, such as lack of fresh water and proper sanitation to a majority of the population and islands, lack of proper education and medical facilities, malaria and other diseases, very little roads, no railways, and a very undeveloped economy. While these are just a small list of the litany of problems facing Dolin Jackson. While all of these problems are detrimental to the URI and its people, Jackson has decided that giving his people the basic necessities to live and that starts with fresh drinking water and sanitation.

Desalination plants

The key solution to combat the scarcity of freshwater was Desalination plants. Digging wells and collecting rainwater were also ideas, however those weren't deemed long term solutions, especially when factoring in population growth. Wells and rainwater collection will be established in communities and islands but only to sustain themselves in between shipments of desalination plant water and sanitation purposes.

10 plants were planned and built on various major islands. 2 on Guadalcanal, 1 on Maliata, 1 on San Cristobal, 1 on Santa Isabel Island, 2 on Bougainville, 1 on Espiritu Santo, 1 on Efate, and 1 on Malekula. Small dockyards were built near each plant, so boats could load and ship water to the other islands. While expensive (taking up more of the government budget than planned) it is expected to be worth the investment.

The new plants also created thousands of new jobs. Plant managers, plant operators, security, custodians and mechanics among the jobs created. New jobs were created to pilot the ships to deliver the water to other islands.

Rainwater collectors were built and wells have also been dug on the islands without a plant.

State of the Military
Looking from the outside in, Swanovia's military lacks much of the firepower of a modern military as seen in Europe and North America, many analysts regard it as backwards and one of the least innovative of any regional power. These analysts point to her isolation and constant conflict as reasons for her lack of might, as the nation has been cut off from many advancements in firepower and armour that the rest of the planet has seen. However, despite a lack of technological advantage and a significantly lower industrial base than other nations, Swanovia has honed her specialisations into specific areas, based around her output capabilities and has consistently innovated in these areas, submarines and infantry equipment.

At Garden Island Naval Base, the Swanovian fleet lies at anchor, composed of a small number of patrol boats, but more importantly, 12 former Australasian Attack-class diesel-electric submarines, rechristened the Bunbury-class submarines, named after major settlements and towns in Swanovia. These submarines have been heavily modified, using domestically developed air-independent propulsion systems and lithium-ion batteries to increase time able to be spent underwater. These developments have been shielded away from outside eyes under the roofs of the dockyards of Henderson, using the former facilities of Austal and the ASC, nationalised during the instability of the civil war, with the engines fitted onto the submarines in covered drydocks to maintain secrecy. However, as Swanovia gradually opens itself up to the outside world, there are those in the government who favour a total reconstruction of the subsurface fleet, although this would take many years and a lot of money.

Western Australia has long maintained an output of small arms, sending Austeyrs to the Australasian government from the Bunbury Small Arms Company. Following the collapse of Australasia, the factory continued outputting Austeyrs in the search for a new contract, however none materialised and the factory closed in 2049. Upon the invasion of Bunbury by Swanovia, these crates of assault rifles were discovered, having been left almost untouched for a number of years. These assault rifles were far better than the L1A1 SLRs that Swanovia had been using which were stockpiled at Swanbourne Barracks, and were rapidly pressed into service. However, there were those in the military who saw that the old assault rifle wouldn't stand up to the body armour and rifles of Swanovia's neighbours, and so changes were made to improve the Austeyr, changing the cartridge to the new 7.62mm Swanovian cartridge rather than the old 5.56mm one due to a higher impact energy and chance of armour penetration despite a slightly lower velocity.

Domestic mining technology has been one of the few sectors to see improvement, with the assembly of the first miner exoskeletons. These exoskeletons combat the excessive power requirements through the use of pulleys to move on command, and a lithium-ion battery to power a drillbit on one hand, and a torch above the head. These suits reduce upper body fatigue by directing much of the work to the stronger core muscles rather than the considerably weaker upper body muscles. These suits are constructed out of an aluminium frame, and are currently in use in mines across the nation, the notable exception being the famous Super Pit, the Kalgoorlie Gold Mine, which prefers to use explosives and larger machinery. The military is looking into the potential applications of this technology.

Medical and Biomaterial technology and methods advancements,

Medical and Biomaterial technology and methods advancements, anesthesia E widely used.

As the Federation’s advanced medical industries and research rapidly grows, more proposals and an advent newer technological development as well as improved training and methods, were highly issued by the Administration of Health and Administration of National Medical Research and Development. As a result of such issues, the Central Government immediately diverted funds to advance methods as well as technologies for general surgery and Neurosurgery, advancing up to 6 different types of neuro surgeries to be practised and performed both effectively and efficiently. New technologies, methods, techniques, biological engineering, etc, will be made as a result of the nation’s newfound ambition. The medical industry, along with its bright-minded scientists will be working hard to further advance our existing tech and discover newer ones.

1. Stereotactic neurosurgery, functional neurosurgery, and epilepsy surgery (the latter includes partial or total corpus callosotomy – severing part or all of the corpus callosum to stop or lessen seizure spread and activity, and the surgical removal of functional, physiological and/or anatomical pieces or divisions of the brain, called epileptic foci, that are operable and that are causing seizures, and also the more radical and very, very rare partial or total lobectomy, or even hemispherectomy – the removal of part or all of one of the lobes, or one of the cerebral hemispheres of the brain; those two procedures, when possible, are also very, very rarely used in oncological neurosurgery or to treat very severe neurological trauma, such as stab or gunshot wounds to the brain)

2. Oncological neurosurgery also called neurosurgical oncology; includes pediatric oncological neurosurgery; treatment of benign and malignant central and peripheral nervous system cancers and pre-cancerous lesions in adults and children (including, among others, glioblastoma multiforme and other gliomas, brain stem cancer, astrocytoma, pontine glioma, medulloblastoma, spinal cancer, tumors of the meninges and intracranial spaces, secondary metastases to the brain, spine, and nerves, and peripheral nervous system tumors)
3. Skull base surgery
4. Spinal neurosurgery
5. Peripheral nerve surgery
6. Pediatric neurosurgery (for cancer, seizures, bleeding, stroke, cognitive disorders or congenital neurological disorders)

While general surgeries in the human body required the advent of anesthesia compounds, in which the AoNMRaD has created to the demands, further enhancing the effects of the compounds required for serious surgical operations. Naming it Anesthesia E. Before the advent of anesthesia, surgery was a traumatically painful procedure and surgeons were encouraged to be as swift as possible to minimize patient suffering. This also meant that operations were largely restricted to amputations and external growth removals.

Improved methods of: antisepsis and asepsis when he realised that infection could be better avoided by preventing bacteria from getting into wounds in the first place. This led to the rise of sterile surgery. Lister instructed surgeons under his responsibility to wear clean gloves and wash their hands in 5% carbolic solution before and after operations, and had surgical instruments washed in the same solution. He also introduced the steam steriliser to sterilize equipment. His discoveries paved the way for a dramatic expansion to the capabilities of the surgeon; for his contributions he is often regarded as the father of modern surgery.
Halsted's principles, also known as Tenets of Halsted, are the basic principles of surgical technique regarding tissue handling.

Biomaterial Tech Development
A biomaterial is any substance that has been engineered to interact with biological systems for a medical purpose - either a therapeutic (treat, augment, repair or replace a tissue function of the body) or a diagnostic one. As a science, biomaterials is about fifty years old. The study of biomaterials is called biomaterials science or biomaterials engineering. It has experienced steady and strong growth over its history, with many companies investing large amounts of money into the development of new products. Biomaterials science encompasses elements of medicine, biology, chemistry, tissue engineering and materials science.
Note that a biomaterial is different from a biological material, such as bone that is produced by a biological system. Additionally, care should be exercised in defining a biomaterial as biocompatible, since it is application-specific. A biomaterial that is biocompatible or suitable for one application may not be biocompatible in another.
Biomaterials can be derived either from nature or synthesized in the laboratory using a variety of chemical approaches utilizing metallic components, polymers, ceramics or composite materials. They are often used and/or adapted for a medical application, and thus comprises whole or part of a living structure or biomedical device which performs, augments, or replaces a natural function. Such functions may be relatively passive, like being used for a heart valve, or may be bioactive with a more interactive functionality such as hydroxy-apatite coated hip implants. Biomaterials are also used every day in dental applications, surgery, and drug delivery. For example, a construct with impregnated pharmaceutical products can be placed into the body, which permits the prolonged release of a drug over an extended period of time. A biomaterial may also be an autograft, allograft or xenograft used as a transplant material.
Bioactivity
The ability of an engineered biomaterial to induce a physiological response that is supportive of the biomaterial's function and performance is known as bioactivity. Most commonly, in bioactive glasses and bioactive ceramics this term refers to the ability of implanted materials to bond well with surrounding tissue in either osteoconductive or osseo productive roles. Bone implant materials are often designed to promote bone growth while dissolving into surrounding body fluid. Thus for many biomaterials good biocompatibility along with good strength and dissolution rates are desirable. Commonly, bioactivity of biomaterials is gauged by the surface biomineralization in which a native layer of hydroxyapatite is formed at the surface.
Self-assembly
Self-assembly is the most common term in use in the modern scientific community to describe the spontaneous aggregation of particles (atoms, molecules, colloids, micelles, etc.) without the influence of any external forces. Large groups of such particles are known to assemble themselves into thermodynamically stable, structurally well-defined arrays, quite reminiscent of one of the 7 crystal systems found in metallurgy and mineralogy (e.g. face-centered cubic, body-centered cubic, etc.). The fundamental difference in equilibrium structure is in the spatial scale of the unit cell (or lattice parameter) in each particular case.
Molecular self-assembly is found widely in biological systems and provides the basis of a wide variety of complex biological structures. This includes an emerging class of mechanically superior biomaterials based on microstructural features and designs found in nature. Thus, self-assembly is also emerging as a new strategy in chemical synthesis and nanotechnology. Molecular crystals, liquid crystals, colloids, micelles, emulsions, phase-separated polymers, thin films and self-assembled monolayers all represent examples of the types of highly ordered structures which are obtained using these techniques. The distinguishing feature of these methods is self-organization.
In 2070, medical scientists from every field have been regarded as great scientists since the previous decades, still continue their path towards great advancements towards health.
Structural hierarchy
Nearly all materials could be seen as hierarchically structured, especially since the changes in spatial scale bring about different mechanisms of deformation and damage. However, in biological materials this hierarchical organization is inherent to the microstructure. One of the first examples of this, in the history of structural biology, is the early X-ray scattering work on the hierarchical structure of hair and wool by Astbury and Woods. In bone, for example, collagen is the building block of the organic matrix — a triple helix with diameter of 1.5 nm. These tropocollagen molecules are intercalated with the mineral phase (hydroxyapatite, a calcium phosphate) forming fibrils that curl into helicoids of alternating directions. These "osteons" are the basic building blocks of bones, with the volume fraction distribution between organic and mineral phase being about 60/40.
In another level of complexity, the hydroxyapatite crystals are mineral platelets that have a diameter of approximately 70–100 nm and thickness of 1 nm. They originally nucleate at the gaps between collagen fibrils.
Similarly, the hierarchy of abalone shell begins at the nanolevel, with an organic layer having a thickness of 20–30 nm. This layer proceeds with single crystals of aragonite (a polymorph of CaCO3) consisting of "bricks" with dimensions of 0.5 and finishing with layers approximately 0.3 mm (mesostructure).
Crabs are arthropods whose carapace is made of a mineralized hard component (which exhibits brittle fracture) and a softer organic component composed primarily of chitin. The brittle component is arranged in a helical pattern. Each of these mineral ‘rods’ (1 μm diameter) contains chitin–protein fibrils with approximately 60 nm diameter. These fibrils are made of 3 nm diameter canals which link the interior and exterior of the shell.
Biomaterials must be compatible with the body, and there are often issues of biocompatibility which must be resolved before a product can be placed on the market and used in a clinical setting. Because of this, biomaterials are usually subjected to the same requirements as those undergone by new drug therapies.
All manufacturing companies are also required to ensure traceability of all of their products so that if a defective product is discovered, others in the same batch may be traced.
Heart valves
In the United States, 45% of the 250,000 valve replacement procedures performed annually involve a mechanical valve implant. The most widely used valve is a bileaflet disc heart valve, or St. Jude valve. The mechanics involve two semicircular discs moving back and forth, with both allowing the flow of blood as well as the ability to form a seal against backflow. The valve is coated with pyrolytic carbon, and secured to the surrounding tissue with a mesh of woven fabric called Dacron (du Pont's trade name for polyethylene terephthalate). The mesh allows for the body's tissue to grow while incorporating the valve. The mesh also contains tiny nano fabrics capable of allowing the flesh to interact with each other, therefore significantly increasing its performance.
Skin repair
Tissue engineering
Most of the time, ‘artificial’ tissue is grown from the patient’s own cells. However, when the damage is so extreme that it is impossible to use the patient's own cells, artificial tissue cells are grown. The difficulty is in finding a scaffold that the cells can grow and organize on. The characteristics of the scaffold must be that it is biocompatible, cells can adhere to the scaffold, mechanically strong and biodegradable. One successful scaffold is a copolymer of lactic acid and glycolic acid. Currently CETI, is engineering a certain type of cell that would use certain acids within the human body to instantly repair tissues once activated by a certain compound, used within hospitals. More important projects include the study of the Axolotl’s unique limb regeneration capabilities, are being careful researched and experimented also by CETI.
Compatibility
Biocompatibility is related to the behavior of biomaterials in various environments under various chemical and physical conditions. The term may refer to specific properties of a material without specifying where or how the material is to be used. For example, a material may elicit little or no immune response in a given organism, and may or may not able to integrate with a particular cell type or tissue. Immuno-informed biomaterials that direct the immune response rather than attempting to circumvent the process is one approach that shows promise. The ambiguity of the term reflects the ongoing development of insights into how biomaterials interact with the human body and eventually how those interactions determine the clinical success of a medical device (such as pacemaker or hip replacement). Modern medical devices and prostheses are often made of more than one material—so it might not always be sufficient to talk about the biocompatibility of a specific material.
Biopolymers
Biopolymers are polymers produced by living organisms. Cellulose and starch, proteins and peptides, and DNA and RNA are all examples of biopolymers, in which the monomeric units, respectively, are sugars, amino acids, and nucleotides. Cellulose is both the most common biopolymer and the most common organic compound on Earth. About 33% of all plant matter is cellulose.
Research is currently being conducted by UMAF's greatest medical and bio development industries and laboratories. CETI is also currently working on manipulating biopolymers within plant formations to have the ability to repair themselves within minutes.

Foreign Policy, Swanovian Style
Before the collapse of the Commonwealth, Australasia was one of the most popular tourist destinations on the planet, with its natural beauty drawing millions to her shores every year. The decades of instability cut that number down to mere hundreds, a trend which Swanovia seeks to reverse to her advantage. So, Swanovia offers an international program to facilitate cooperation and increase her integration into the global community. Nations who agree to run the program will teach Swanovian (closely related to English, sort of a Dutch-Afrikaans relationship) at either high school or university level, and will allow Tourism Swanovia to conduct a tourism campaign in their nation to encourage tourism to Swanovia. In return, Swanovia will reciprocate these in an attempt to increase tourist numbers and revenue in the short term, and in the long term remove the language barrier in international politics and project her cultural influence abroad.

Say Hello to Your New Neighbour
The Federal Republic of the Swan Coastal Plain, after annexing the rest of the former state of Western Australia, has today announced its claim on the island of Java, including the capital of Indonesia, Jakarta. As we speak, army regulars, as well as conscripts, are leaving from ports and airfields across Western Australia headed towards destination unknown, with General Roberts saying only "This campaign will test our forces like no war since Vietnam. This won't be easy."
We shall watch with eager eyes how the invasion progresses.

FALL OF SURABAYA
Swanovian soldiers have today occupied the city of Surabaya on the island of Java, after a brief yet bloody struggle. Reports indicate that Javanese resistance continues on in isolated parts of the city and in the surrounding jungle, however the majority of the city has fallen silent under Swanovian control. President Henry Adams was recorded as saying "A great victory for us all has occured today on the beaches of Java, we should all rejoice and feel pride for our soldiers, and mourn for the dead."

The Red Cross has counted nearly 800 dead soldiers from the Swanovian Army, most of whom died in a Javanese ambush near the centre of the city, and the count is ever increasing in the number of Javanese killed in the landings, most of whom were likely civilians killed in the crossfire. At least 20 civilians are confirmed to have died after a stray bomb from a F-111C hit a shopping mall.

In preparation for the eventual push through the jungle towards Jakarta, the victorious General Roberts has announced the rolling out of flamethrowers in order to deal with the thick vegetation, and any guerillas hiding in it. "We must be ruthless and decisive, and this is a step in the right direction", he said in a press conference today following the battle. He is expected to arrive in Surabaya tomorrow.

Malaria cure advancements.

CETI, collaborating with many other medtech industries and laboratories, such as Grandar, have conducted several experiments towards a permanent cure against the Malaria virus, common within mosquitoes. By genetically engineering (thanks to advancements in CRISPR technology) a specific mosquito DNA, specifically for mosquitoes able to carry the virus. The new mosquito species, dubbed CMAL 14DX, will be carried to a malaria-carrying mosquito populated environment to overtake the original malaria carriers. The project was successful in creating the insects immune to the virus by adding a new antibody genome, specifically targeting the plasmodium, preventing the expansion of the virus deeper into other parts of the world and into isolated civilizations. Issues arise as to changing its genetic code still persists in its lack of effectiveness to completely change the population into a CMAL population with the modified DNA. The solution, is to utilize Gene Drive technologies, developed previously in the UMAF, it forces the new gene to become dominant in the following generation. Multiple studies and experiments show, 99.8% of all engineered mosquito offsprings will carry the new anti-malaria gene. One large collaborated effort by multiple laboratories have successfully transformed a large isolated pocket of mosquitoes carrying a long-forgotten disease, located south of china. Now, the new edit will be carried by sea to the URI ports to eliminate their long-running issues of the malaria virus on their population. Scientists expect the CMAL mosquitoes will completely dominate them within a few months in 2070.

A new and effective method has finally been developed by CETI, progressing towards a cure to combat the dangerous virus known as Malaria. CETI’s Gene Drive branch have been developing pre-existing gene drive technologies to be even more reliable in combating the dangerous diseases and viruses transferred by mosquitoes, however for now, only malaria will be specifically targeted. Specialized dna designed to decrease the aggressiveness of an average mosquito and develop a sort of targeting immune system preventing them from harboring any dangerous viruses. Specifically targeting the Malaria parasites known to be transferred within the mosquito, by implementing the new Genetically Modified DNA, creating an antibody gene, preventing them from further spreading the disease. With the gene drive, it forces the new modified gene to be transferred to new generations, over pairing the old genetic dna. As a result to CETI’s many experiments and extensive testing, the new generation of mosquitoes accounting to 1 million, contained within a secured lab, have accounted to 99.8% of the entire population carrying the new modified gene.

Hiram Bagley burst through the doors of Parliament, prepared to retaliate. 3 hours ago, a bombing. 2 hours ago, sabotage. 1 hour ago, an invasion.

Year: 1100 CE
King Sinna’s horse dashed across the pockmarked hills, sword drawn as the rest of the Tarans followed behind. The Tarans behind him outnumbered the Caslanians 3 to 1, but the upcoming battle would not be easy for them. The Caslanians were entrenched in Glosgow, their capital city, and the Tarans had just given up an attempt at starving them out. The deafening sounds of hooves stifled the whizzing sounds of arrows peppering his soldiers, leaving a few wounded. Another volley followed and hit its mark, the last one before their forces met. His calvary sliced through the first group of Caslanian foot soldiers, as they continued their journey to the city fortifications. They reached the spiked logs, and Sinna jumped off his horse, holding up his shield to protect himself from a fresh volley and jumped into the trenches with his elite Kingsguard. They deftly cleared out the opposition, paving the way for a continuance.

The attack had been planned for a week. Cathalian spies, traditional allies to Tara, had found a singular weak point in Glosgow’s defenses: the river that arced in the south had left that area mostly defenseless, as they never believed somebody would break through it. Sure, a few archers and soldiers were left, but a good group of soldiers could easily penetrate those defenses. After that, all that would be left is the rest of the city. It seemed like a good bet, and Sinna was ready to try it.

His guard climbed from the trenches, weapons drawn, as the rest of his soldiers began to join them or ride the horses back. A smaller, diversionary group, was around the north, distracting the city’s main guardsmen. Sinna’s new force began a move forward, slicing apart the small market nearby. Trent grabbed a torch and held it to the straw roof of a blacksmith’s shop, setting it, and soon the rest of the city, ablaze. A few Caslanian guardsmen attacked his force, but superior numbers stopped them every time. Breathlessly, Sean, a scout, returned to the main forces

“King Sinna!” he exclaimed, “they’ve gathered their forces near the centre! There’s no way we could beat a force that large!”

“Grab a torch, run to the north, and light a building,” king Sinna said, grabbing a torch for Sean and then turning to face the rest of his army.

“You lot, let’s retreat. We won’t win this battle, but this war is ours to win.”

The crack of the fire flared as they marched swiftly back to the breached barrier and climbed outside of Glowgow once more. The small diversionary force rumbled nearby, and they ran to catch up and grab their horses once more.

Generals Council:
“Your Highness,” began Ronan, “we’re ready to finish this. We have 4,000 calvary, they have only 6,000 footsoldiers and a smoldering ashheap of a city.”

“Ronan,” began Jason Monaghan, “you know that we can’t march into a city and defeat not only 6,000 footsoldiers and the entire civilian population.”

“Jason, you know that we have the best army in the entire world at this point. If 4,000 of our men cannot take out a small force of enemies we can never win respect from other groups.”

“We currently have 8,000 footsoldiers, and numerous catapults on the way, along with a reinforcement of 500 calvary. We want this to be not only a show of force, but a permanent end to Caslanian resistance as we conquer their tribe once and for all. We want king Paul’s head, not his city.”

“I’m inclined to agree with Jason,” began Sinna, “we want to end this war, not prolong it. If we attack at the right time, we not only take out this force but can find King Paul and force him to yield, or end him.”

“But your highness,” began Ronan.

“I have spoken,” Sinna said, ending the conversation and leaving the tent. The cool night breeze blew in stark contrast to the raging flames of Glosgow, a beautiful city soon to be his. Small groups of his soldiers huddled around small orange campfires, preparing for the fight ahead.

It had been 3 days since the city burned, and the familiar march of Taran soldiers finally sounded on Sinna’s ears. There had been small attempt by Glowgow to break out of his siege, including direct attacks on the cavalry units patrolling the perimeter and stopping any shipments of fresh supplies. Sinna rode beyond the hill, and was greeted by the sight of his new neatly armored soldiers approaching. Field commander Fin rode up, jumped off and bowed down.

“Rise Fin,” said Sinna, “and come to my tent. We attack now.”

1 Hour After Arrival

Fin’s soldiers yelled and banged on their shields in rhythm as they marched towards northern Glowgow. Catapults began pelting into the south of the city, and the calvary stood nearby. A small group of engineers cut down the sharp spikes in the south, and soon placed down wooden ramps, soaked in water, to allow the cavalry and easy way inside. The horses hooves soon thundered into the city, as the cries of the Taran soldiers echoed across the streets. The Caslan guard fought valiantly, but for every soldier they fell more stood behind, and any retreat was met with a swift vengeance from the spear of a rider. King Sinna’s horse stood in the fray of his soldiers as he helped encourage him through the defenses, swinging at enemy soldiers and helping them penetrate the trenches at the right spots. Arrows whizzed around them, but never could hit the king.

A blast of trumpets sounded from inside Glosgow, as King Paul himself, dressed in black armour, joined the battlefield. His black sword began to sweep down small groups of Sinna’s soldiers, and began to repel the invasion force. Sinna jumped from his horse and moved directly onto the field, working close to Fin by moving his soldiers closer.

Paul swept his dark blade again, but instead of catching a lump of unguarded flesh, it clanged on the pure silver of another sword. King Sinna quickly turned his sword towards Paul’s armor, but with a step back the two foes were separated, sword held ready. Small groups of both their soldiers stood around them, holding shields in a protective wall and to keep the two kings in. Screaming and yelling continued elsewhere, but here, where two kings stood, silence reigned.

“We meet once more King Sinna! Your army put up quite the fight. Truly reminded me that it is hardly their fault that all my people had to die. It was yours.” Paul said

“You may be able to fell my soldiers, but myself is another matter. Paul, I thought you might have learned more than simple tricks since I saw you last?”

“It’s taken more than simple tricks to trick you here, and it takes more than a child’s toy to kill me” he pulled his blade carefully and pointed it towards Sinna, preparing for a final fight.

Sinna rushed forward, a fury of sparks lashing out as his blade clashed with Paul’s. They bounced and danced to the dance of the blade. Back and forth they went, neither making any gains.

Paul feinted forward, relling back as Sinna took the bait and lost his balance briefly. His blade raked across Sinna’s ribs, but left only a faint mark. “Your armor improved does not make you a better fighter” he smirked.

Sinna watched with amusement from his eyes, his body recovering quickly. “You know you fight for your life better than your countrymen, you desire it least.” He thrust forward, moving with a second wind.

Paul let himself be pressed backward, his left hand slipping to his belt, unsheathing a second dark metallic blade. “You speak much of a country you fail to capture,” he muttered, barely audible, as he pressed forward in a renewed flury.

“You see the need for two blades?” Sinna laughed. “Perhaps you are more feeble than last time.” he said, lunging forward. Histhrust bounced gently off, and he finally outstretched his left hand, letting a simple blade fall into it from a hidden sheath.

Paul’s stance crumbled, his eyes locked onto the white blade and his body parrying on auto pilot. “You…”

“I what?” Sinna smirked, exploiting the weakened defenses and threw his blades to the side one after the other. “Any last words old friend?” he asked, placing his blades in a cross at Paul’s head.

“You will never take Caslan.”

“Spare me the dribble!” Sinna hissed, jerking the blades in a final movement. Paul’s face went blank, and his tiny eyes dark. Sinna kicked the cooling corpse once, turning back towards the soldiers.

“Wear your allegiance to me!” he cried, and you will be spared the same fate as your king!

The soldier encircled about him knelt, throwing aside their Caslanian shields and acknowledging their new king. Sinna allowed them to rise and went quickly to the trumpeters.

“Paul is dead” he informed them, “let them know.”

The trumpeters, shaken but not hesitant to keep their heads, blew the blow of surrender. Quickly, Caslanian resistance stopped, and the soldiers dropped their weapons. Cadjolingly, the tarans led the former resistance to the public square, forcing them to listen to their new king.

“King Paul is dead,” Sinna smiled as he began, “and a new ear of our tribes has begun!”

15 years later
The new country of Hibernia sat on the remnants of Tara, Caslan, and the recently submissive Cathal. King Sinna still sat as king, his new empire the strongest in all the globe. There was a recent problem, however, with Niall pirates. He could simply eliminate the pirates and defend his border, or he could expand once more. True, Aisling hated Tarans and especially Caslanians with a burning passion, but time could heal most wounds. After all, most people living in Caslan loved Sinna, especially since the infrastructure and food reforms had been implemented.

The recent parliament assembled under former general Fin was prepared to debate the issue of war, or peace. His Majesty preferred Fin’s approach, but finding the votes necessary to declare war on a foreign country remained exceedingly hard. Even though the Federalist Party held an 80 seat majority in the 250 large council, there were still issues over getting soldiers to help them. Yes, the army was 20,000 strong, the largest in the known world, but the expenses of building a navy may disturb the peace in Caslan. Members from Cathal, who had willingly ceded their territory and monarchy to Sinna, were similarly hesitant about going to war so quickly, and thus awaited further debate and discussion.

Fin walked into Parliament, prepared for the longest debating period in his 6 year term. Instead, he found various members dead, killed in the exact same style as the Niall pirates slaughtered their victims. He stared in horror and heard the low moans of various survivors, turned back and ran towards the barracks.

“Pirates!” he yelled, streaking towards general Gary. “Pirates have slaughtered almost every member of Parliament!.” Gary jumped up, quickly rallying a small group of soldiers to verify what Fin said.

“Rest here, Prime Minister, and we’ll be back soon.” He went to leave the room, but turned at the door frame. “Rest assured we will get our restitution.”

And so they did. It had been 3 months since the members of parliament had been slaughtered by the pirates, and a bustling navy now sent soldiers and a few calvary troops under Gary’s command to finally make inroads into Niall.

The rain pattered onto the already sloshy and muddy road, making transportation of Gary’s troops nearly impossible. Of course, the local residents had welcomed them into Niall - it meant increased safety and steady leadership - but they hadn’t told them how much rain fell. Every single day for months, the soldiers pressed on, until Niall was captured and rid of the pirates.

The invasion eventually became so successful, that it was carried out into Aisling, with the help of a few Niall guardsmen. Of course, over the course of the battles, King Sinna fell. Infertile all his life, he left no heir to the throne. His nearby relatives dead as well, no easy fit was found. Instead of turning to a crown, General Fin simply took over leading the country in the stead, and thus the monarchy fell.

The Polish City of Łódź
The Invasion of Poland - 9. Schwere Panzerdivision

The Prussian Army had made great strides in its push into Poland - within a matter of weeks they had pushed as far as Łódź and had more or less vaporized the majority of the Polish armed forces. Although the Poles had suffered significant losses, the losses to that of the Prussians was minimalistic. However, supply lines were slightly stretched following the Polish sabotage of various useful supply depots. The push on Warsaw would occur shortly, however as the Polish government actively disintegrated into piles of dust - there was talk that it would capitulate to the Prussians in short time. Peace talks had been in discussion since the preceding Friday. To reinforce and bolster the morale of troops - Oberster General des preußischen Militärs Albert Pryde joined the front-line to meet the troops.

“Soldiers - attention!” shouts an officer. “Salute to Supreme General Pryde!” The officer falls back into a formation of officers in front of the line of soldiers. Albert Pryde would be giving out several awards to the soldiers and tankers of the 9. Schwere Panzerdivision who had made massive gains and feats against the Polish enemy. He individually salutes and shakes the hand of each recipient as he grants them their medals.

“Werner Segert - for your bravery at the Battle of Outpost 372, you are to be awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class. Joel Ludecke - your individual capture of six Polish soldiers is to be awarded by the Iron Cross 1st Class. Wolfram Friedel - your daring action at the Battle of Outpost 372 resulting in capture of two Polish officers, including one vital to the Slovakian rebellion has granted upon you the Iron Cross 2nd and 1st classes. Günther Wach - for your effectiveness in battle against entrenched Polish defenses, you are to be awarded the Prussian Cross in Gold"

Awards like this continued for at least two dozen men, until he came across the last recipient and, probably the most successful. He had heard many stories about this man, from Slovakia to the Africa campaigns.

"Ludwig Veidt - tanker ace of three times and well known tank commander. You have destroyed an additional fifteen tanks in this campaign thus far, the most out of the entire campaign. For your actions you are to be awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords."

"Thank you Supreme General Pryde." Ludwig says.

"How have you done it?" Albert asks. "With the help of my driver and gunner." he says sternly. "They, too are to be awarded highly. What awards do they have?" Albert asks Ludwig, very intrigued. "Iron Cross, 1st Class sir."

"I will see to it that they both receive the Prussian Cross in Gold" he hands Ludwig two additional medals. "Tell them, that these were given to them on behalf of Supreme General Albert Pryde."

"Yes sir!" Ludwig says. "Thank you."

"I hope to see your combat effectiveness in the future Prussian records. The Kaiser will most definitely be delighted." Pryde walks away, back into the formation of officers. "Dismissed!" the head officer shouts.

_________
Tank 438 - "Die Faust des Kaisers"

"How was the meeting with the Supreme Commander?" asks the gunner of Ludwigs tank. "I wish the commanding officers would see a bit more talent in us!" shouts his driver.

"About that. I have finally been able to persuade a leading officer." Ludwig pulls out two Prussian Crosses in Gold. "Granted to the tank gunner and driver of Tank 438 - Christian Herder and Ernst Heisig, both are to receive the Prussian Cross in Gold."

Both crew members are ecstatic with joy. "Let us make good with this honoring - and see if we can score a bit higher." Ludwig tells them. "For Prussia! For the Kaiser!" shouts gunner Christian. "We are the Kaisers fist!" cheers Ernst.

_______________________

Several days following the halt of the advance, Prussian forces of the 9. Schwere Panzerdivision made large gains against the Polish forces west of Łódź. Reinforcements from the Polish Army - or whatever was left of it was still fighting and attempting to keep the Prussians from Warsaw. These efforts would be in vein, however. The Prussian forces had grew in large numbers and now had complete superiority in the air. Tank 438, "Die Faust des Kaisers" was part of a armored column tasked with moving along the A2 Highway towards Warsaw, crushing any resistance that they would face. However, there would be no swift advance. Current orders from command meant that the column would be forced to flush out supposed Polish fighters that posed a threat to the advance by sabotaging the A2. In all aspects, the Poles were very close to surrendering - especially within the government. Whatever is left was trying to work out a peace deal with the Polish, however many of the commanders within the army ranks had disregarded this, and pushed for more hostilities.

"For what it is worth - I hate infantry support missions." says Christian. "If we hadn't just bombed these buildings, we'd be set for Warsaw already!"

"Not entirely true. They sabotaged the bridge, our orders are to protect the infantry seizing the buildings before the Poles get a chance to blow the bridge over the A2. Shouldn't be too hard, nothing but a breeze I say!" Ernst says, peering through the drivers hatch. "For a driver, you surely have some commander attributes. Intel has it that the Poles want a counter offensive, I see the bridge has a bit of usefulness to us if they dare push that offensive soon. There should be a few dozen Poles here, nothing too much for our infantry." Ludwig tells the two, also peering out of his commanders hatch. "Infantryman! What is the status of the mission!" he shouts.

The infantryman responds, "the sappers have disabled the enemy's com-links, they have refused to surrender!" Ludwig develops a grin, "Does the commanding officer require direct tank fire support?"

The infantryman contacts him, and promptly says "Yes sir! Fire at will!"

"Christian, fire high explosive rounds! Direct front at the building!"

Three rounds shot out the barrel of the cannon towards the building, exploding on contact. The blasts were massive as the entire side of the building collapsed, as portions of the other side began to crumble. A few shots were exchanged by the Poles, but these were quickly silenced by the growing flames. Men ran out the building with their arms up - but were quickly shot down ruthlessly by the infantryman. "Peasants, I tell you. One chance is enough for those who do not wish to surrender. It is easier to kill the enemy in some instances rather to take prisoners." Ludwig tells the Christian. "What about intel?" he asks.

"Oh, do not worry. We've been monitoring Polish channels for hours, they wouldn't have been able to get a message out."

At least two hours pass and the armored column has entrenched its position near the overpass. Intel has been recieved of a Polish tank column of thirty six tanks approaching, enough to spell trouble for the advance. "We should retreat" shouts one soldier. "Regroup and encircle the enemy."

"There shall be no such thing, we shall the hold the line. We will ambush their column here, they shall not pass." Shouts the commanding officer. Closing the hatch behind him, Ludwig called out almost immediately, "Polish tanks on the thermal readings! Closing in on the highway, three o' clock! Open fire on my command at the rear vehicle, Tank 277. Christian, fire at the lead vehicle on my command!"

A few seconds count, as the Polish tanks grew closer. 2,400 meters, well within optimum firing range. "Gunner, open fire! Tank 277, open fire!"

The lead Polish tank erupts into flames, followed my the last one. "All tanks, fire at will!" Soon, tanks from across the column began bursting into flames one by one as the Prussian tanks laid siege onto the convoy. Machine gun fire intensified as armored vehicles from the Polish counterattack tried firing at the German position, however in vein. "What a brilliant fireworks show! I am counting ten additional tank kills for us! Keep firing, Christian, you have sixteen more rounds at your disposal before ammunition replenishment must take place. Sixteen minutes in, the entire Polish tank convoy was destroyed. What ever remained of the convoy was bombarded by following airstrikes on them.

"50 prisoners have been taken, 36 enemy tank losses and fifty four APC's. No enemies were able to retreat. The leader of the 16th Polish tank division has surrendered to our forces." says the same infantryman who had wanted to retreat.

"Ludwig, your tank achieved a total of seventeen tanks knocked out and eleven APC's. I commend you and your crew for your achievements." the commanding officer says.

"We are called the Kaiser's Fist, for a reason sir."

The collapse of the advance and the fight for Surabaya
Following the fall of Surabaya, the Swanovian military began an intense campaign of fire and fury, much to the iration of the Javanese, and environmentalists worldwide, as precious jungle and endangered animals were engulfed in the infernos raging on the island from the use of flamethrowers and incendiary rounds by the Swanovian infantry. The Javanese defence force in East Java, infuriated by their defeat in Surabaya, retreated to Madura Island, detonating the bridge connecting it with Surabaya, and into the surrounding jungle, shelling the port and straits with howitzers, and conducting guerilla operations in Surabaya, such as poisoning the water reservoirs, forcing the importation of supplies from the mainland.

The now starving occupation force, with morale rapidly dwindling, was liberated by the arrival of air convoys, employing tactics similar to those of the Berlin Airlift, with the Swanovian Air Force flying supplies in and civilians out with C-130 Hercules transport planes flying out of airbases in the north of the nation, captured from RAAF bases around Western Australia following the collapse of central rule in Australia. Furthermore, President Adams had, after receiving the news of the invasion force being cut off, authorised the use of F-111C tactical bombers against the Javan forces on Madura Island, and for the island to be surrounded by the newly formed Swanovian Submarine Corp and their Collins-class submarines captured upon the dissolution of the Royal Australian Navy. Captured artillery in Surabaya would be trained on the island to bombard the Javan positions. The President had said "Madura must be taken if we are to keep Surabaya."

Search and Destroy
Air Command today has also approved the use of F-18 Hornets, once the pride of the RAAF, to counter the AA and coastal guns to the south-east of Surabaya. This will allow, if all goes to plan, the supplies to continue arriving in Surabaya from the mainland, and support the offensive in Madura Island.

The assault on Madura Island continues, with F-111C's providing air support for the advancing ground troops, while the fleet remains in position around the island, preventing supplies from reaching it. Time will tell if this attrition technique will prove successful.

Parliament House, Perth
President Adams sighs, the imposing pile of briefings, memos and files stacked neatly on the left of his desk.
"You mean to tell me, with F-111C's, submarines and frigates we can't beat a few starving Javanese farmers with hunting rifles?", he says while rubbing his eyes, obviously irritated.
"It's a bit more complicated than that Mr. President." Kevin Truman, the Minister of Defence, chimes in. "Those Javanese farmers are actually what we believe to be trained militiamen and army regulars, and those hunting rifles are more like machine guns, howitzers and assault rifles."
"Unbelievable. Why is our army doing so poorly despite the copious amounts of training the Bush Wars provided?"
"Well, for one, in the Bush Wars we were fighting small, rag-tag farmboys and cattle hands armed with bolt actions, whereas now we're up against a country with a trained army. Secondly, they're conscripts, they've gotten the best training that two weeks can provide before being shipped off to Java to fight in the jungle."
"Whatever, if we lose this it's my head on the line next election."

Operation 西洋戦争.

Operation 西洋戦争.

0100. August 5th, 2070. A massive fireball appears within the vicinity of a coastal town, located North of Hokkaido nearby its mountains. Forests and small farms, next to its impact point, tainted with searing red hot fire were incinerated to mere ashes. A missile, from what appears to be launched within the southern areas of the Krai province next to Sakhalin, had struck an oil deposit facility filled to the brim with oil tanks. Its defensive structures built primarily for this kind of threat had seemingly no effect to the missile. Another facility, strategic and highly essential to the UMAF was also targeted by similar foes. News stations caught on to the breaking news of such terror, its citizens in quite an unrest, knowing the uncertainty of their safety. Although many laser defense domes, along with missile interception systems are prepared to defend the Federation’s territories from anymore missile attacks from the rebelling tribes, questions still arise as to how to permanently deal with the matter at hand. Defense industries are now pressured by the government to work with other methods for missile interception and defensive weaponries. All branches of the military are put into high alert, while the military command is working with a plan to eliminate the threat, the president also working with the command, will give the go-ahead to execute whatever plan they may choose. It is only a matter of time.

A few days later, August 11th, military bases and outposts of the Federation wait tensely for any sign of attack from the tribes. Alarms blare from the facilities, detecting approximately 30 guided missiles launched from the exact locations scanned by satellites. Half of them, aimed at some of the hundreds of bases. Defensive structures are now programmed at the ready to withstand the missile attacks and defense dome systems are prepared for interception. Soldiers and personnel hunker down to wait for the onslaught to end. 1230, rumbling began to shake some of the facilities as missile explosions were spotted from the air. The defensive domes easily hit their mark, however a few passed through. The DFSTs were able to withstand the explosions, at a cost of a few men trying to maintain a steady damage control outside of the base due to systems failures. In the next day, personnel worked hard in the damaged bases to repair them. Military command sent in necessary supplies and food, with the assistance of the government, to keep their soldiers in service healthy and more prepared. Another set of defense bunkers in the meantime, were built extensively among the bases near the Krai. Telecommunications services and technologies were also improved within said bases. Overall improvement will be done for an extensive defensive capabilities.

Back in the capital of Tokyo, the Congress is still split between responding to the missile attacks. Military command had already formulated a plan to invade Northern Sakhalin and the rest of the Krai coastline next to it. The navy, air force, and marines will then begin to assist their invasion to the east and attack the enemy frontlines from behind. Railgun supporting fire, from the navy’s warships will be deployed to the South West, where the 41st Monat Marines will be deployed. With the tribes poor cooperation and sense of organization, the military will use the opportunity to initiate the expansions into North and West China. The army and airforce will be placed into full alert and preparedness to initiate the invasion, planned in October 23rd, 2070. Paratroopers and multiple naval landings, carrying several tank divisions and mechanized divisions. Paratroopers and many more infantry divisions will be deployed within the split mountain area, surrounding the flat valley in between, fighting any rebel tribes upon sight, as well as setting necessary defenses incase of a large counter attack.

With the plan set in September 15th, the military will now begin preparations by stockpiling necessary supplies and extending military exercises for all branches.

Few weeks pass, all branches of the military, prepared to ensure the safety of their citizens from the violent tribes. Plans were changed to station the base of commands for this operation. Onor will be set up as another military air force base in use for the strike drones for refuelling and resupply. Hokkaido after a few months of developing the facility and its ports, the operation is now ready to begin and will soon commence…

Takeover of Northern Sakhalin.

October 24th, 2070, 0300. Paratroopers begin their night time operation to assist the 21st, 22nd Tank divisions and the 345th, 500th, and 670th mechanized infantry divisions. The United Monatian Air Force will be deploying its SD4 strike drones into the mission for a swift takeover of the territory. Landing in between the valleys and within the mountains in the east and western flank. Special forces easily fire upon the unsuspecting tribes within their stations. Special bunkers and artillery installations are captured, small anti-air missile batteries are established to prevent aircraft reconnaissance and strike packages on the UMAF main forces. At 0330, special forces report their success at the task in the operation. Monat marines, transported by the UMN’s submarines to the east coast of Northern Sakhalin to dismantle the tribe’s counterattack operations in both Nogliki and Katangli. Planting their bombs underneath vehicles and roads within the perimeter of their bases, as well as special EMP mines within the comms tower, they immediately detonate the explosives, causing mass interference and distress within their ranks. The Monat Marines give away their signal. The main forces begin to advance. At 0450, the Tank divisions break through the enemy lines unopposed, only small pockets of tribes with little-to-no weapons face them resistance. The IFVs behind them made very short work, dropping off some infantry men to secure choke points for the operation and wait for the reinforcements heading to the Western coast of Northern Sakhalin.

T-62 main battle tanks were spotted in the night by the 22nd Tank division, though it wasn't of any major threat. They continue along to their destination, while successfully destroying the tiny force of old MBTs. Spies from within the northern bases began pouring key information for the main forces to use.

“Army in disarray. Leaders squabble. Western base undefended. Northern tip unwilling to fight. Will respond soon.” The message ends.

Tank commanders immediately race to the Nogliki and Katangli bases, while dispatching a small number of the 21st Tank division, now designated as 21S, with the 670th Mechanized Infantry to seize the base and occupy the Western coast while reinforcements arrive. By 0500. The Main Force, dubbed Army Task Force 1, reach the disorientated enemy force with utter shock, pummeling their defenses with tank round after tank rounds. Strike drones destroying their disabled Anti-Air defenses. Both bases immediately surrender to the ATF 1. However, they will journey fort to the northern towns to completely secure the area, leaving enough tanks and manpower to handle the prisoners, as well as to repair the damaged bases. One of the tank commanders of the 22nd Tank division receives another message, this time from military command. Their reinforcements are enroute to secure the western coast, at 0645. By 0705, the ATF have reached the three towns of Neftegorsk, Tungor, and Okha, showing peace and respect to the people. Reports show from soldiers in one of the towns, one of the tribe leaders forcibly took their young men to fight against a war unwinnable and only fought for their own gain, hence the first missile strikes. At 0913, the reinforcements have finally secured the western half. The nighttime operation was a complete success. The second phase of the operation is currently underway with the UMN fleet and several landing crafts head their way to waypoint C and D. Paratroopers and other small submarines will be transporting Special Forces Monat Marines or SFMMs to the southern territories with support from the airforce and another small fleet of 4 railgun destroyers.

Invasion of Northern Primorsky Krai.

The 3rd, 4th, and 6th UMN fleet, all consisting of several missile destroyers, anti-submarine destroyers, anti-submarine frigates, railgun destroyers, destroyer aircraft carriers, quickly move in to support and escort the 3rd naval landing force on there way to the Coastal town of Chyla, while the 5th and 7th fleet, a smaller fleet with missile and railgun destroyers, and a ballistic missile submarine, move into Dzhaore with the 4th naval landing force carrying infantry divisions, mechanized brigades, and Type 10 tank brigades. 0820, both NL forces reach their destinations unopposed by the tribes, now designated as Army corp 1 in the outskirts of Chyla, and Army corp 2 in , a dispatch force of a few mechanized and infantry divisions set out to secure the middle of the southern coastline to begin building temporary ports and defence structures, they organize themselves within the hour and begin their long awaited advances. With the success of capturing the entirety of Sakhalin, forces stationed there continue to set up temporary ports and airfields to assist the invasion at 0913. Both corps continue their push until an unexpected resistance begins to mount within the valleys in Haenam and hills on the outskirts of Busan. Railgun destroyers begin to open fire on the enemy’s positions, reconnaissance and strike drones scan the area for any possible ambush set ups, destroying bunkers and anti-air weapons hidden and exposed at low altitudes. An encrypted message was hastily sent to the commanding officer of the operation, reporting the immediate delay of the UM Air Force to send heavier airstrikes, saying it will take 45 minutes to deploy their squadrons for tomorrow. The commanders curse at their misfortune.

“Shit… we need the air force quick to support the pincer attack on Seoul…” muttered one of the commanding officers. He quickly grabs the phone again to contact the UMAF Air Force base in Hokkaido, Onor, and Okha. “This is commanding officer Ikaru Yokoroshi, the main strike groups will be delayed by 40-45 minutes, maintain air support using your drones in Haeman and Busan. Send long range strike drones at low altitudes to harass and destroy their supply lines.”

“Yes Commander.” Replies the air force base officers.

Drones begin their attack runs supporting the army corp below, anti-aircraft installations were successfully destroyed due to the quick thinking of the drone operators and of the incompetence of the tribes. Sustained railgun fire from the fleet, easily penetrate through the improvised bunkers within the hills and mountains. Resistance were easily crushed in both the east and west zones. The large army corp split into many divisions, to cover more land, most of the tank divisions, specifically the 450th, 321st, 61st, and 95th, will stay within the lower mainland to meet against the main forces with some of the mechanized and infantry divisions, such as the 4th, 12th, 74th, while most of mechanized and infantries will secure the mountains. Flanking positions will be easily secured to quickly overwhelm the scattered tribes. 1323, all three infantry and mechanized divisions secure the unoccupied mountains and hills of Oglongi, Mago, Susanino, and Kerpuchi. 2nd Army corp continue their push to Solontsi, Mariinskiy, and De-Kastri, reaching three towns at 1545. Soldiers report the tribes have mutinied against their leader to join our cause due to the gravity of the conflict, as well as the gross tyranny the chieftain have placed them into against their will. A considerable amount of fighters, now joined within the ranks of the 2nd army corp. The 1st AC, now divided into different divisions, easily capture the mountains surrounding Kiselevo and Yagodnyy with the 61st and 95th tank divisions taking the valley, while the 450th and 321st hold off the attacking force near Tsimmermanovka. Drone strikes decimate grouped up enemy forces near the lake, rocket artillery, sent in as reinforcement from base command, fire several barrage fire into the said grouped enemies. At 1703, the main enemy force dwindled, remaining 20% kept their ground, 80% turned to ash.

After their successful push into the mainland, more reinforcements were poured into Sakhalin and into the ports in Chlya, Ozerpakh, Alexeyevka, and Dzhaore. Submariners kept a steady patrol route to observe enemy troop movement from afar and sink transport ships. 5th and 7th fleet will stay in the east coast to support infantry movement as much as possible. While the 3rd, 4th, and 6th fleet, will join the 45th and 39th assault transport fleet into the final landing to take Khabarovsk, creating task force 1. Day 1 of the operation saw massive success in gaining good ground. The next day will be an even more intense attack to quickly gain a foothold within Primorsky Krai.

Day 2 of the operation, 0955. The scheduled landing finally begins. Anticipation from the troops and sailors for an intense combat did not disappoint. Artillery Shells begin pouring nearby by the ships, causing pillars of water from the mountains on its rendezvous point to the port of Nikolayevsk-on-Amur. Railgun destroyers and missile destroyers begin targeting artillery positions using reconnaissance drones, burst ballistic missiles north of the task force's position appear from the surface of the ocean, covering a wide area of the hills and valleys behind the shoreline. Within 25 minutes, enemy artillery ceased to exist. Railgun pound the target area for good measure. Reaching their port within 20 minutes the landing convoys deploy their troops into the ports and outside for reorganization. Touching ground at 1034. The Third Army corp lands at exactly 1100, reorganizing their forces 1 hour and 20 minutes later. 1220, 332nd, 120th, 256th, 12th, and 1st Tank divisions, 56th, 67th, 100th, and 103rd mechanized division, 34th, 80th, 132nd, and 170th artillery brigade, 2nd, 4th, 267th, 287th, and 297th infantry divisions begin their advance. Splitting into multiple fronts once they reach Amursk. Dispatch forces of infantry and mechanized units will cross to the western mountains, securing Uni mountains in the meantime, to meet the 4th and 72nd infantry divisions at Agzu. Almost all the armored, mechanized, infantry, and artillery divisions will be heading to the south of Amursk to secure the lower mainland. Reinforcing the tank, mech, infantry, and artillery forces heading to Khabarovsk.

1235. The SFMM forces begin their journey to the mountains to secure the area, identifying multiple AA batteries and AA missiles within the sector of Khabarovsk. The Helicopter Destroyer Carrier, UMS Satsujin-sha, deployed multiple attack helicopter squadrons, the MV3s, to seek and destroy said AA batteries and bases defense with EMP armed medium-ranged cruise missiles. 1315, they arrive, surprising the enemy forces once again, firing a salvo of one of their four EMP Missiles. All four hit their mark. Another salvo fires… Direct hit! The copters fire off their remaining two missiles each. All aimed for the two exposed power stations, supposedly defended by automatic defenses but was disabled by the first salvo. The city of Khabarovsk goes completely dark. 5 ATMES-3000 enroute from Hokkaido fire a second wave of long-ranged cruise missiles, destroying their remaining tank and IFV forces.

“This Reaper squadron, air defense systems are disabled. The door is wide open.” The captain of the Reaper Attack Helicopter Squadron reports.

“Atlas squadron, targets confirmed destroyed.”

Paratroopers begin their approach at 1340. 12 Kawasaki C-4Ms fly information, carrying 30 soldiers each. A cloud of parachutes appear from the horizon. Multiple F-15 strike fighters and B-4M arrive to their designated targets. Suddenly…

A scratchy message was received in the command station in Tsushima, the commanding officers decipher the message almost immediately. It was in fact a message from the tribes. Origin seems to be set in one of the two cities, which the forces are prepared to attack. A translator, studying the language of the tribes, immediately translated the words.

"We surrender. Please forgive our past misdeeds. One of our leaders may have been rash and attacked you with our missiles. All we ask for is that you do not cause any more harm to our people." The translator finishes.

Enemy forces drop their weapons, others still resisting the order and are soon killed. Commanders soon divulge into their position to secure a legit secession of territory. Inhabitants of the new territory, whom who seek peace and prosperity, will be given citizenship, indeginous groups will be treated fairly. Development within the land will soon commence to give them a good economy and healthcare treatment, while being able to retain their culture/religion. October 27th, 2070. A passenger jet carrying the president arrives to Khabarovsk, now in reparations. As a result, formal treaty of secession of the Krai province was signed by the president and its leaders.

The Fall of Madura Island, September 2070
The Javan defenders faced a grim situation by mid-2070, attrition would wear them down as no new supplies would come in due to the crippling blockade. A typhus outbreak broke the camel back as what remaining fighters either went back to their farms or died in the jungle. With this, Madura Island was Swanovian.

With Madura Island falling totally under Swanovian control, the straits were clear, and aircraft on supply transport duty were replaced by ships, and could be reallocated to air support. With this air recon support backed by fighters and a large number of soldiers returning from Madura Island (with a suitable garrison left to ensure the island remains trouble-free), advances began out of Surabaya, into the surrounding hills. Although, a decent chunk of soldiers remain in the city, more than are needed to garrison it, leaving Javan observers in the hills around the town guessing as to what High Command was planning. The Submarine Corps, now with nothing to do, were ordered to begin searching for Javan ships between Surabaya and Jakarta, with orders to clear the shipping lane of any Javan resistance.

Battle of Jakarta, December 2070
With the sea lanes cleared by the Submarine Corp, high commands grand strategy is enacted. The bulk of the soldiers left to garrison Surabaya, reinforced by freshly trained conscripts, board the transports, bound for Jakarta.

Jakarta, Java 08:30am
Joko sits in his car, steaming in the humid summer weather whilst trapped in traffic on his way to work. He hears a buzz, like a fly, and a gust of wind, breaking the still, sticky air. He opens his window and sticks his head out, trying to find the source of the wind, when it hits him. A sudden rush of heat, and the sound, the loudest thing he had ever heard. An earth-shattering boom erupts from behind his car, a barely visible out of the corner of his eye. He quickly turns to look, when another gust of wind hits him, along with the realisation. "That was a plane", he thinks, "which must mean..." The thought barely comes to him when the next rush of heat hits, this time too close, and his car explodes.

Supported by the Swanovian Air Force, with shelling from offshore, the Swanovian Army began its assault on Jakarta during the morning traffic, hoping to delay the defenders response as the soldiers began rushing off the landing craft into the heat and humidity of the Jakartan summer and the unknown contents of the Javan capital. High Command hoped that this would be the decisive blow that would force Java to surrender, but for that to happen the city must fall.

The sudden attack was devastating. While recon elements had hinted at an amassing large force, it was believed the attack would come from the land. Due to this most of the Javan forces had been allocated to the main roads and only small militia units were to patrol the city. When the order to pull back to the city was finally received by the main force, 44% of the city had fallen. Militia units were making last stands all over the place but attacks from all direction were too much. With the situation reaching its end, elements of the Javan government began to evacuate elsewhere. When the final boat left, everyone knew it was over.

The Fall of Jakarta marked a milestone in Swanovian tactics, a masterpiece of deception and logistics had successfully allowed the fall of the Javan capital. With the Javan government having fled to an unknown location, all that was left was to continue the push out of Surabaya (and continue the mopping up of militias and regulars in and around Jakarta) and to reinforce control in the newly occupied capital. Swanovian authority had been asserted over the island, and with the former government in exile, the island would be rapidly integrated into Swanovia proper.
