Skull Squad
[REDACTED] The Polish President's Estate

The Polish president had refuted all terms of surrender issued to him by Kaiser Fritz Marshall - and as the Polish armies surrendered left and right, the Kaiser was dead set on the ending of the war before getting to Warsaw. By forcing him to make a peace deal on the Kaiser's terms, the threat of having to destroy Warsaw would be alleviated. As such, the Skull Squad would be sent in to handle the toughest of jobs required by the Kaiser. They hadn’t been used much in the Polish campaign - and the same could be said for the entirety of the Combined Arm Troopers. The Polish invasion was that to be the glory of the Prussian Army only. However, what the entirety of the army couldn’t do thus far - the Skull Squad was to do in one fell swoop. “We will reclaim what is rightfully ours - the land of Prussia occupied by those bastards” shouts an exuberant Franz.

Skull Squad quickly arrived via helicopter towards the front gate of the building. Around the perimeter, soldiers from the Death Squad and “Kaiser’s Finest” would make sure there is no escape for the Polish President. As the other two squads provided fire support, Skull Squad would attack the estate via the half-a-mile long driveway, capture the President, and escape.

“Quick, quick, the enemy knows we are here!” Rüdiger shouts, taking out two guards that tried to open fire. “Breach the gate” Hans says, placing some charges. Eichmann was in his element now - donning a suit of heavy armor, he opened up on the enemy positions with his heavy machine gun. Behind him, the rest of Skull Squad providing covering fire.

“Die you Polish scum!” Eichmann shouts, reloading his weapon. The Poles didn’t stand a chance against him. “These are rookies!” Franz says. “Nothing compared to the rebels in Slovakia.”

Hans laughs, “Franz is finally adapting to the life of war! Soon enough - he’ll be as skilled as me!”

Two armored vehicles approached from behind, “They have reinforcements! The nearby garrison heard the fighting!” Gotthard pulled out a rocket launcher, and fired the first at the lead vehicle. “These aren’t reinforcements! If they were, they’d have an entire squad!” Gotthard says. Through the windows of the vehicles, only one crewmember could be seen. Climbing from the driver's seat to the gunners seat, he tried to open fire but was shot down by one of the supporting squads.

“Breach the building!”

Skull Squad blasted their way into the only building in the estate that housed the President. Whatever guards were left were shot down without much of a fight. Even those who surrendered. They quickly made their way into the President's office, where he had attempted to barricade himself with two guards. Both were quickly dispatched. “You were given a chance, President Al!” Shouts Franz, stunning him with a taser. “Good work, Franz. We have done well, the Kaiser will most definitely be pleased.

The Kaisers Office

The Kaiser was having a meeting with his Minister of Transportation, Klaus Unbecht. “You will get your increase in the budget. I look forward to the introduction of these new maglev trains. Ah yes! Skull Squad, I take it you have apprehended the Polish President, Al Timjoa.”

“Yes, indeed we have Kaiser. The guards attempted to put up a fight, but were quickly dispatched.” Rüdiger says. “He will adhere to your demands, I am sure.”

“Good, Skull Squad, you are dismissed.”

Rüdiger is delighted. “Another completed mission - another country for Prussia!” he says.

“Indeed, I am sure this will result in another pay raise.” Franz says.

“You are one greedy bastard, Franz! Our salaries are already higher than that of the other Combined Arm Troops!” Gotthard says.

“Poland will be ours, because of us!” Eichmann says, as they exit the office.

The Kaisers Private Estate - two days after Polands surrender and one day after its annexation

The Kaiser ventured into the lower layers of his estate, where he wounded up upon a tied up figure.

“You will die like all those who have opposed me, Al.”

“Your invasion was going to kill countless of Poles - I surrendered to end the violence.” Al says.

“Your surrender has paved the way for Prussian dominance. Poland is now an integral part of Prussia. Just as I had intended. ” he tells Al Timjoa.

Three shots can be heard, as the sound of a chair can be heard hitting the ground.

The mastery of Trash Burning

Postby Monati » Tue Jan 14, 2020 11:00 am

The mastery of Trash Burning

In recent months, the Federation has looked forward more into cleaner energy methods that are far safer to accommodate due to the nation's geographical location. With the Fukushima accident that was caused by an earthquake followed by a tsunami, the government and the energy industry has looked more into the idea of burning trash to produce heat thus producing steam to power turbines and thus producing electricity. So far the nation will receive billions of tons of garbage from approximately 3 nations across the globe. To effectively contain the large amount of trash. The energy industry working alongside with the ministry of energy and subsidized by the government to create a containment unit to store the trash. Improvements in the efficiency of burning little trash to produce more electricity has been progressing, it is expected to take a few more months for a more advanced burning system to be finalized, along with a containment with enhanced strength and security features for prolonged storage capabilities. The two designs are listed below:

TSSEP MD13446 V143.

The TSSEP design, designated as one of UMAF's Advanced Efficiency Electric-Generating Incinerators, will be one of the main power sources for the Federation to use until a more viable solution is acquired, such as the development of safer alternatives towards nuclear power plants. Trash burning has been regarded to be a cleaner alternative than utilizing oil or gas, and with newer designs being implemented to achieve better efficiency in the little amount of trash burned to produce greater amounts of energy. Its safer and cleaner reputation becomes more unprecedented. A containment unit used to store the trash is also a big factor to maintaining the efficiency ratio, which is in fact, classified. The overall cost of the TSSEP system is estimated to be around 20 million dollars to construct and is relatively easier to produce. This TSSEP system will produce 600-800kWh of electricity per ton.

TSSEP IDRCU (Improved Durability & Reliability Containment Unit) MD426.

Panaseaia’s new Enhanced Storage Containment Unit boasts new materials and advanced structural shapes within the containers, greatly improving its strength over tonnage. The MD426 also features an internal system to prevent leakage of smell and all of the garbage’s dangerous content from the environment. MD426 will house millions if not maybe billions of pounds of garbage within for use to the TSSEP or now dubbed as AEEGI (Advanced Efficiency Electric-Generating Incinerators). The design is well thought out to be easily improved and integrated into other possible use if the need ever arises. Infrastructure technology continues to improve within the United Monatian Asian Federation, soon such tech will be integrated for more important purposes.

Berlin, Brandenburg Gate

The Polish campaign was successful by all means. Little losses were taken overall, and the Kaiser had displayed Prussia’s power to the world with his outstanding military victories. The Balkans and the Nordic countries had now caught his attention, both featured vital resources that were essential to the Prussian economy, and he was intent on seizing them quickly. However, there was still one problem. The same problem that had plagued the original Prussian Empire and its successors - France. “That dastardly country will pay for its wrong doings!” the Kaiser tells his accomplice, Albert Pryde.

A military parade to further express Prussia’s military power was taking place at the Brandenburg Gate. The live television broadcast was aired across the Empire, but also across the world. The Kaiser had hoped that this display of power would frighten the surrounding nations into siding with the Prussians or daring not to go against them. In particular, it was aired to France.

Over the past two decades, France had been on a slow, economic decline (helped, more or less by the secret tampering in French affairs by the Kaiser. The Pro-Isolationist President, Julo Omnise had been deposed off by the French government only a few weeks prior to the completion of the Polish campaign. Moving swiftly, the Kaiser thrusted a pro-Prussian French politician into the position of President. The Kaiser had put out a deal to the French government, detailing that if the French wanted to ressurect their economy, the Prussians would gladly do it if they were to surrender their sovereignty and become part of the Prussian Empire. Without any real opportunity for the French, they were forced to begin negotiations with the Kaiser. During the previous few weeks, the French government had voted in favor of this ruling, however there was still a group of politicians who would act only upon the word of their new President - Louis Bontai. To tip the favor into overwhelming odds for the Prussians, the Kaiser called a meeting with Louis to discuss the terms.

The Kaisers Office, Berlin

Louis was escorted by three elite guardsman into the office of the Kaiser. With him, was Albert Pryde - Oberster General des preußischen Militärs and Siegmund Hessel - Kommandierender General der Armee, who were discussing how the Polish occupation should be handled.

"Greetings! I have been expecting you, Mr.Bontai. Sit down, the trip from Paris must've been exhausting." The Kaiser says. "Guards! Fetch us some fine tea!"

"So, it has finally become time for final piece in the foundation of your empire to be put into place." Bontai tells the Kaiser.

The Kaiser answers. "Yes, indeed. This shouldn't come as too much of a surprise - but I am aware the French do not want to be obliterated like the Poles and the Slovaks were."

"You would not be wrong, Kaiser. But many have grown pro-Prussian sentiments. They want to be prosperous as well, for too long they have been suffering under a cloud of liberalistic dust and promises." He tells the Kaiser, sipping the tea that the guards have just brought in.

"I am sure you will be able to persuade the remaining politicians in favor of the Prussian Empire, correct?" The Kaiser asks, slightly skeptical. "Without a doubt, sir. We already have the majority regardless, they will be pushed into voting in favor if they want to keep their positions." Bontai tells him, in an attempt to reassure the Kaiser.

"And what of the French armed forces?" Albert Pryde asks, then followed up by Siegmund Hessel. "Are they to stand down? What will be of their equipment?"

Bontai answered, he had already received the needed information for these questions. "My commanding generals have been ordered to stand down following any order by the government of Prussian annexation. Military vehicles will be turned to the control of the Prussians and military forces will be discharged. What if they want to join the ranks of the Prussian soldiers?"

"Then they shall be granted permission to join the Prussian forces if they fit all requirements as part of a French Legion." Albert Pryde says.

"So it is done, then?" the Kaiser asks. "Yes."

"Then I will see to it a new region is to become part of the glorious Prussian Empire - with you as the head governor of the region." The Kaiser contrary to the two presidents he had just killed stuck to his promises. Those who aided in his conquests were awarded greatly, but as for those who had not - they were dead not long after. "The generals and I will return later for lunch, you are clear to join us if you wish, Governor Bontai."

An Alliance Formed (Adressing the Nation)

Postby The Equalist Imperium » Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:11 pm

Weekly News Report: Brought to you by the Equalist Broadcasting Center: While scouting the Northern parts of the region we came across a fleet belonging to the Prussians. They were helpful to our understanding of the previously unknown or unheard of parts of the region given our nation's...coyness. As such, Emperor Kaldwel has decided to make greater ties with the Prussians in hopes of a "New Age" as stated by the Emperor. The agreement was simple, Protection of our homeland and in return we offer plots of land for a few various military bases, this will also improve trade and technological advancements to boot. As part of the agreement, we'd allow the Prussians to found their military bases along our coasts, if and only if, monthly routine check-ups are provided/allowed by our security sector to help keep our health and our proud national security up.

This is the EBC, providing our dear citizens with the truth...the only truth.

Operation Black Guard

Postby Monati » Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:53 pm

Operation Black Guard.

The threat of tribes in the UMAF’s eastern territories still linger within the undefended valleys, hills, and plains of the Chinese Mainland. A threat the Federation will no longer wait to happen, after the very recent missile attacks in Sakhalin and Hokkaido. Military command along with the support of the Congress, issues a new operation, to extend the control of lands from the uncivilized rebel tribes. This time three main land forces will take part in the operation, use of strike drones and simple strike fighters will also be deployed. F-4s, F-15s, F-35s, and JF-15s, will be the chosen aircrafts to provide essential close air support as usual. It is believed that extensive use of anti-air defenses will be present within the designated territories of capture. Railgun artilleries will also be utilized from extremely long-ranges to deal with the AA, after it is eliminated, the railguns will continue sustained fire on any enemy targets, recon drones will keep a continued relay of enemy positions for the railguns to destroy. Once phase 1 of the operation is complete, all of the main forces will begin the advance to join with the dispatch forces sent in first. Expected completion of Operation Black Guard will take two-to-three days. The mission set to November 5th, the current date as of now, is October 22th, 2070.

Several more days pass, resources and troop mobilization are complete and prepared for use in the operation. Air Bases in Maoming, Guilin, Hengyang will support 1st Army Brigade advancing to the southern mountains to reach the town of Thai Nguyen. Air bases Liancheng, Dongying, Zhengzhou, and Jinan, will support the 2nd Army Brigade advancing to Beijing and Shanxi mountains. Last few airbases in Ji’an and Hengyang will support the 3rd Army Brigade to surround and capture the provinces of Jiangxi, Hunan, and Hubei from the rebels. All three army brigades consists of 5 armored divisions, utilizing the Type 10 MBTs, 8 mechanized divisions, mostly IFVs, 18 infantry divisions, and 8 artillery brigades, this time using railgun installations within the rough terrain.

Advancing south to Thai Nguyen.

November 5th, 2070, 0930. The stage is set. The mediocre sized dispatch forces of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Army brigades begin their approach. Strike and recon drones, flying at low altitudes scanning the battlefield, for the railgun artillery to decimate from afar. 1040, contact from the enemy forces in the southern mountains bordering Indochina came quickly. Fire from the mountains and hills of Guangxi forced dispatch force 1st army brigade to seek cover from the heavy fire. Recon drones from the sky immediately reveal their locations. Communications from the artillery officer messages the dispatch force of its artillery barrage enroute to its targets, 45 seconds later, railgun projectiles soon rained hell on the mountain side, eliminating any living creature within the point of impact. 10 seconds continued with shells dropping down, then silence follows. The recon drones scan the area again.

“All clear.” The drone operator reports.

The dispatch forces continue their assault to Nanning and wait for the rest of the main forces of the 1st Army Brigade. More Dispatch forces of infantry from the 1st AB, meanwhile capture the Guangxi mountains up north, claiming the small city of Hengyang with no encounter of enemy forces. Similar reports show their chieftains had forced them to fight with corrupt power for their own. It seems the rebel tribe army is split between ideas and opinions amongst them.

Fall of the Rebel controlled Beijing.

Top secret spies were then sent to the north of Beijing and to its city, where previous spies report similar situations as to the one in Hengyang. Multiple missions established by the Monatian Intelligence Networks, have gathered lots of propaganda items to persuade and influence the population to rise up against their corrupt chieftains and assist the Federation. Multiple spies have gathered a considerable amount of people for the cause, telling them of the utmost wonders and opportunities to live within the nation. Hoping to preserve their culture entirely, unopposed by the government, that much is the factual truth, inspiring the young and old population, though some fall with doubt, but are still eager to find out. 1340, the operation by the MIN was a success. Majority of the beijing population now armed and ready to assist in the secession of the mountains and the lower mainland below it to the hands of the Federation. 1400, they reported to the spies that they had killed the two corrupt chieftains within a palace, located in Baoding. The northern territories, now loyal to the Federation, are due in process to the citizenship of the UMAF. Holding several temporary facilities to help with the population count process.

Some of the 3rd Army Brigade infantries, IFVs, and type 10 MBTs still help to secure the new acquired northern territories. Majority are sent back to join the 2nd Army brigade to assist in their front.

Advancing south to Thai Nguyen (pt 2.)

2 hours pass within the operation. A temporary base command center was established in the city while they wait for the main army group. Skeptical as to how long it will take for them to reach Nanning, several stationed scouts report back to their position about the situation of the 1st Army Brigade. The status of the army is still in perfect condition, minor rough terrain have caused some of their vehicles to bog down in the marshy ground. Air force command have sent cargo planes to resupply the dispatch forces in Nanning, despite the minor changes in its plans, high command have agreed to use the opportunity the forces stationed Nanning to retake more territories within the hills and mountains.

1230. C-4Ms drop a considerable amount of tonnage, consisting of food, ammunition, and other essential equipment to take more of the surrounding territories. MBTs and IFVs race to the drop zone to tow the supplies back to the base. Recon drones and strike drones still circle around their positions to support the forces at any time. Dispatch forces, dubbed 12th, 14th, 50th, and 60th Dispatch Inf. have successfully taken over the Chongzuo mountains, reporting enemy resistance have retreated back into the Indochinese mountains. The 12th Dispatch Inf. suffered heavy losses due to ambushes, railgun artillery begin to open fire near their position to deter the enemy from overrunning the division. 12th Infantry reports in and finishes off the remaining enemy forces after the artillery barrage. The dispatch infantry divisions stay within the mountains bordering them. Soldiers start to transfer coordinates to the artillery divisions in Guangdong for a preemptive strike.

1830. The 1st Army Brigade finally arrive to Nanning with a large force of tanks, IFVs, and infantry. More infantry divisions will move further into the mountains with the next generation silent helicopters. MBTs and IFVs will continue to occupy Guangxi for the next attack to the north with the 2nd Army Brigade.

2015. Helicopters, carrying the rest of the infantry forces begin to divulge into the dispatch forces infantry’s location to meet them in with them at Cao Bang and Lang Son. Special lights and flares reveal drop point CB and LS, all dispatch infantry divisions help to navigate the helicopters into the dropzones. Additional supplies are dropped into the landing zones with the help of Mi-8 Hip helicopters, transported by lift. Weapons and ammunitions, containing guided bunker penetration rockets, are also supplied to the infantry units. The new 4th Infantry Brigade will be assisted with more Apache Attack Helicopters to help with the takeover of Thai Nguyen. Exactly 2400, midnight, the 4th IB slowly encroached on the town. Several surprise attack runs by the Apache, threw the forces occupying the town into great disarray. Casualties sustained to a minimal, although the brigade lost 2 of their 20 attack helicopters. However, at 0120. Troops from the mountains were stuck and unable to descend from the mountain without taking any enemy cannon fire from hidden IFVs. The attack helicopters are still in its attack runs to destroy as much AA defenses. Strike drones are enroute to destroy the IFVs, but high command has ordered the brigade to hold their positions in the mountains to prevent anymore rebel troops coming from the north. Instead, several UH-60s will be transporting special forces to siege the town and take it over.

0310. Helix one carrying 40 special forces troops arrive to their positions, with the renaming forces dwindled in small numbers, Helix one was able to successfully capture Thai Nguyen. More soldiers from Helix Two and Helix Three will reinforce the base. Temporary air bases within the mountains for the strike drones to operate will also be established.

Takeover of Hunan and Jiangxi.

Meanwhile at 0842, 2nd Army Brigade stationed in Xinyang, Jingdezhen, and Xinyu, also began their approach with type 10 MBTs, IFVs, and infantry divisions behind them. They will move accordingly to capture the cities of Wuhan and Changsha. Artillery forces begin to pound target locations surveyed by satellites, followed along by cruise missiles to further weaken their forces within those two cities, along with the rebel tribes awaiting southwards of Hengyang. 1030. Satellites relay the target locations, showing no signs of any life. After the relayed message was received, the 2nd Army Brigade began their advance to capture the cities, the missile attack was devastating yet used a fine amount of resources, although it will make the final few hours of the operation a lot more easier. 1450, both the 2nd and 1st Army Brigades successfully occupy the provinces. The rebel tribes now out of men and equipment to properly resist, they willingly surrender. At October 5th, 2070 0600. The mission and entire operation was dimmed as a success. Prisoners captured will be given a second chance to live their lives peacefully with utmost greatest services from the Federation. Their corrupt leaders and associates taken to a higher state of prison to pay for their mistakes. The territories taken will carefully developed and well defended.

Equalist Troops Invade Uruguay!

Postby The Equalist Imperium » Tue Jan 14, 2020 7:04 pm

Breaking News: War! Equalists Invade Uruguay

The Imperium has declared war on all of South America and plans to seek absolute control according to their namesake. The main militia of the Equalists, known as The Grand Imperious Army (GIA), had struck one of Uruguay's major cities and capital, Montevideo. Launching an assault by sea, the commanders of the GIA intend to attack on two sides, flanking them by land and a direct assault by sea, eventually moving further inland towards Brazil.

Field Report: Predicted to be a quick victory and the start to a full scale campaign, The Grand Imperious Army have stormed the borders of Uruguay in an attempt to show their military might and to kick start their first campaign in an effort to control all of South America. Thanks to this, our people of nearly 24.6 million now have purpose with the increased need in supplies and raw resources to simply fuel the front lines of this campaign. New jobs have opened up and our citizens of age are joining the ranks of our grand army, with luck we'll become a major economic power house of the world.

Our Head Admiral had this to say about the campaign: "While I do honor our county and this campaign I almost feel as though we should've started such a campaign in Africa...however, that can always be our next campaign, I'm simply glad our government is able to fund this war effort and our soon to be flourishing economy with it.", while the a couple I.M.P's stated: "I just hope things get better for our nation by doing this, that's the main reason I signed on." & "Let's stick it to those no good outsiders and their primitive tech, we'll show them the way to betterment!"

((Disclaimer: All comments and ideals are purely used in a 'Work Of Fiction' fashion, I simply write to be interesting and hopefully entertaining))

Somewhere West of Jacksonville
12:01 EST
Dante and Khanor opened the tin door almost falling off the hinges they strolled into the dim room eleven candles sat lit in the room along the perimeter of the room. There stood only two candles not illuminated one was off in the corner the other stood next to this eagle with a crown missing two obvious horns. Dante approached his candle in the corner and lit it. Khanor approached his that stood on the left side of the Eagle.
"This ritual is so annoying, he is going to call role anyways once we get in there," Khanor said with disgust. "All this does is shows us that out other members of the order are better at their lives and got here sooner."
"Khanor, you need to calm down, your brother is still adjusting to being head of the order, give him time, he is just trying to make sure tradition is followed because that is all he knows he can control," Dante said as he moved to behind Khanor. Both of them pulled out a similar-looking golden horn from their uniform. They each placed them onto the crown of the eagle, completing the eagle's headpiece. A rumble sounded as the entire floor lowed, taking them to the room bellow. They were now facing a set of glass doors to a room that was filled with a cream-colored light. The room had concrete walls with monitors and holographic maps, adding a light bluish hue to the light. In the center was a table with holographic stats and statistics being projected on to it as well. Ten of the seats were filled with a Military or a Government official. Among them was the Emperor. Khanor and Dante walked into the room. The Emperor promptly arose with a scroll.
"Well, well, well," the Emperor started sarcastically. "Gentlemen, nice of you to show up finally. Now that you are here, I shall take the role of the Order of the Horn. I Head of the Order, Lotra Conner, Son of Bergan, Grandson of Bergan, Father of None, Emperor of the Burussican Empire is Present." the Emperor said as his Red Uniform and his White Fur Cloak absorbed the attention in the room
"I Heir-Apparent to the Head of the Order, Khanor Conner, Son of Princess Alice and James, Grandson of Bergan, Father of None, Heir-Apparent to the Empire of Burussica is Present," said Khanor trying to reestablish a positive presence in the room.
"I Member of the Order, Isobelle Darnby, Daughter of Thomas, Mother of Kyler, Governor of Florigeo is Present." A Woman with Black hair with her Grey Military style uniform said as she made her presence known.
"I Member of the Order, Dewey Jamole, Son of Luke, Father to David, Speaker of His Grace's Parliament is Present," said an older gentleman, who towered over the table as he stood in a standard black suit with a Navy Blue tie.
"I Member of the Order, Warren Thompson, Son of Roger, Father of Clint, President of His Grace's Government, Commander and Chief of his Grace's Army and Navy, is Present"
"I Member of the Order, Lauren Conner II, Daughter of Lauren, Neice of Bergan, Aunt to the Emperor, Mother of Lord Bosworth of Orleans, First Lady of the Empire, Head of the Extended Estate of the Conner's, is Present" a women in a dress with diamonds around her neck stood up directly across the table from the Emperor. There was a seat empty next to her, however, the gentlemen sitting on the other side of that seat stood and continued the roll as normal.
"I Member of the Order, James Huffman, Descendant of Hoot, Father of John, Ambassador from the Greater Rhine Nation, is present." The gentlemen said, he did not look too radically different from the royal family, however, his Grey Uniform included much more gold than the Ambassadors and Diplomats from Burussica.
"I Defender of the Order, Delvisi Cappello, Son of Thomas, Father of Jerry, Defender of the Throne, Grand Admiral of his Grace's Navy, is present," said a man in a white Naval Officer's Uniform adorned with his numerous medals earned in his service.
"I Member of the Order, Lawrence Jaxon-Tylor, Son of the Empire, Father of Kassandria, Minister of the Cabinet of his Grace's Government, is present"
"I Defender of the Order, Dante Conner, Bastard of Bergan II and Jane, Grandson of Bergan, Half-Brother of the Emperor, Father of Sarah, Commanding General of his Grace's Army Forces."
"Verry good," said the Emperor as he arose once more. "Before you ask about the empty chair, I would like to inform you that this Order shall be expanding to fit 11 members, so without further adieu I would like to introduce our newest member following my imperial appointment, Captain of the Imperial Gaurd, Sarah Conner," The Emperor said as he motioned to the woman who was now emerging from the shadowy corner of the room, she was tall and wearing her red armor with her helmet clutched under her arm as protocol commanded. Her Brunette hair was tied into two pigtails that rested on either side of her head. She approached the table bowed out of respect to all the honorable Statesmen who were present. She then recited her introduction to the Order.
" I Defender of the Order, Sarah Conner, Daughter of Dante, Great Granddaughter of Bergan, Neice of the Emperor, Mother of none, Captian of the Imperial Gaurd and Legionnariess of the Imperial Legionnaire, Defender of Head and State, is Present," She said before taking her seat. Dante was stunned like a deer in the headlights as his daughter sat down across from him.
"Now," Started the Emperor, "I called this meeting of the order to discuss our need to restore the Former Imperial Territories located around Mississippi River and the Missouri River. I would like this to remain a private ordeal as our Navies and our Armies need to rebuild after the gruesome Civil war. We must take these territories out of the hands of the remaining Huckist, they have caused us much harm with our northern plantation and farming sectors. Not only that but they have somehow infiltrated the State of Tennison and have elected themselves to 34 of our seats in the Parliament. Captain Conner, would you start your brief?"
"Yes, sir your Grace," Sarah said as she arose placing her helmet on the table in front of her as the lights darkened and she turned to the screen.

Advanced Earthquake detection systems perfected.

Advanced Early Warning Earthquake Detection Systems (AEWEDS) have now been perfected by the Monat Seismology Center, using burrowed detectors deep within the mantle of the earth to where the point of plate convergence follows. False alarms will be set off quite regularly, which inhibits a sort preparedness for the much bigger seismic activity soon to come. An advanced programming has also been set up by the centers and other commercial data relay stations for a fast Earthquake warning procedure. It has been tested to have sent hundreds of millions messages within 0.00005 seconds. Sensitive hydrophones using the design developed by TAGALogica, will also be deployed within the plate convergence zone underwater and along the path near the coast line for tsunamis warnings as well. The system was said to have cost millions in "perfecting" or advancing the tech, although it would significantly save lives in the event of a terrible natural disaster.

Alliance of the east!
For centuries the East Asian nations have been fighting declaring themselves superior and not realising they are equal and together are strong. But as the west grows and becomes more expansionistic the Manchurians fear another era of colonialization in east Asia they have no choice but to try and work with its neighbours and protect the Asian continent.
"For too long has our great nations been divided! For too long have we've divided our great continent! No more I say, now let us unite the eastern world of Asia. From Shenyang to Kitami, from Changchun to Tokyo, we shall unite weather you're mongol, Han Chinese, Manchu, Japanese or Korean we must unite. Brothers of the east now we must unite under the golden banner. The new world shall now centre around the new golden age of Asia. Glory to our new alliance and glory to Asia!"
-Prime minister of Manchuria, Zhen Shu, who shortly after his speech was responded by applaud.
AUA (Asian United Alliance) is a proposed alliance between the Greater Manchurian Empire and the United Monatian Asian Federation. Its Purpose is to create peace across the Asian continent and to create a more prosperous and better lives for the two nations citizens. The alliance goals will be:

-Improvement of trade and civilian movement between countries.
- The countries of the AUA will conduct friendly relations with all the countries of the world, and work for the abolition of racial discrimination, the promotion of cultural intercourse and the opening of resources throughout the world, and contribute to the progress of mankind.
-Military aid between AUA nations if invasion where to happen to a member of the alliance.
(unofficial goals but still sometimes promoted):
-Pan-Asianism and the promotion of Asian unity through alliance, trade and easy travel.
-Anti-Colonialism.

the Greater Manchurian Empire requests a military and economic alliance between them and the Monati for the purpose of maintaining peace and prosperity within East Asia and awaits an answer with hopes of approval.

The Lion Sleeps

THE LION SLEEPS - Key Largo [2070 AD]

Alarum - RadioOne Key Largo [01:00 KGT - 01.15.2070]

Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall - Ella Fitgerald plays over the Radio

Several men sit back in their roller chairs in a smokey radio studio, chuckling softly at the joke one had just told. He leaned to ash his cigarette then jerked back as his seat nearly crashed over sidewards, blushing slightly as he investigated whether anyone seemed to have noticed. He was new here, three days in to be precise, he needn’t that boneheaded move this early into his tenure, his dignity might not survive it. The boss had only just given him his nickname, he imagined a gaff this early on might warrant a change.

Michael Bennett: … isn’t that right Bud?

He hadn’t been paying attention to the conversation, but he wasn’t gonna let the Gaffer know that.

Bud Neely: You know it Mr. Big.
Bennett: Mr. Big? [he pauses] I quite like that name if I’m honest… how come none of you lot ever call me that?

The others laughed heartily as the conversation drove on, sometimes Bud forgot he wasn’t Stateside anymore. Hardly an excuse at this juncture though, he supposed, he’d have been in Key Largo eight years thiscoming March. He drifted off for a moment before one of the others brought him crashing back to reality.

Richard Durinsly: Is it me or is the NEAS light on?

They all turned towards the door; it wasn’t Durinsly, the light was flashing. The National Emergency Alert System light was in every radio station across the country. It rarely came on, at least Bud assumed so based on the reaction of the others. In fact, he hadn’t much noticed the light in his time there, so it must not warrant thought all too often.

Bennett: I assume you all know the protocol, Bud however, likely hasn’t been briefed so I suppose this is ideal timing; consider it learning experience.

He rose from his chair and crossed the room to the record shelf, pulling a large, dusty box from the top rack. He wiped it off then returned and dropped it at Bud’s feet.

Bennett: This daunting fella is the “tragedy broadcast;” it’s a jolly collection of depressing music to be played for the hour prior to announcing whatever tragedy has just occurred.
Bud: Reasonable enough, but when do we find out what we are announcing on air?
Bennett: The teletype should print out the news any minute now.

The men rose from their seats and walked to the printer waiting anxiously for the dispatch. The state of the world in recent years made these notices less predictable than they had once been. It awed Bud how quickly the demeanor of a room could change, the low drone of casual conversation had been replaced with an almost palpable silence. The anticipation had nearly reached a breaking point when finally the teletype printer hummed to life. The men leaned in to read the prompt as it printed off. As the printed whirred back to idle, the silence had grown somehow more deafening.

The men returned to their seats in utter disbelief, their jovial dispositions quickly changed to downtrodden. Bud quickly reached for the paper to see what had caused this distress. As he finished reading he dropped the paper to the floor. He couldn’t believe what he had read:

The Lion Sleeps. Play the mourning broadcast and prepare for public announcement. This is not a drill. The Lion Sleeps. More information will follow when approved for briefing.

Bennett: Well boys, it’s what we’ve readied for the last fifteen years, I’m sure you all know your portfolios.

As Miles Davis’ Moon Dreams faded out, Bennett prepared himself for the broadcast. Sure they’d planned for this day eventually, but he hardly imagined it would be his job to deliver the news to the general public, he’d taken third shift to avoid the major briefings; hardly anything ever happened at night in Key Largo.

Bennett: on air Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great sadness that I must deliver you the news of the passing of our beloved leader, King Henry Wallace Stetford II, peacefully in his sleep at the age of ninety-four. His son, Prince Henry Michael Stetford III shall accede to the throne in a formal ceremony this week-end followed shortly by funeral proceedings for our late King Henry. We all grieve this great loss of an excellent man; a mourning period shall endure the next fortnight. We here at RadioOne Key Largo will bring you further details as they are delivered to us, I am Michael Bennett.

He turned off his microphone and continued the tragedy broadcast. Clifford Brown’s Blue Moon faded in as he left the broadcast booth and fell back into his rolling chair. He lit another cigarette and let out an exaggerated sigh.

Bennett: How’d I do fellas?
Bud: Couldn’t have said it any better myself, Gaff.

Preparation - City of Key Largo [06:00 KGT - 01.18.2070]

Prince Henry III awoke suddenly in his bedchamber. Today would officially mark his last day as Viscount of the City of Key Largo and his first as King of Key Largo proper. Though he was certainly excited to accede to the throne, he couldn’t help the burdensome weight of his father’s passing on his mood. A man of only twenty years, he hadn’t known his father for as long as many, and certainly not in his prime; this saddened him greatly.

After he prepared himself for the day ahead, he ventured to his kitchen to inquire about breakfast.

Henry: What might we have on the menu today, Weatherby?
Marcus Weatherby: Your favourite, fried egg, baked beans, toast, kippers, bacon and a steaming pot of tea, your highness.
Henry: Not yet, not yet, that’s still my father; the ceremony is tonight you know.
Weatherby: How could I forget, a royal dinner for the family and hearty fare for the witnesses; the kitchen staff will hardly have time for a break today.
Henry: Remind me to make sure they reward you all handsomely for it -
Weatherby: Believe me, I’ll be riding you like a bloody pony about it, it’s hardly 07:00 and I’m already well knackered; my fingers are like apricots just from the washing.

The young Prince chuckled and quietly thanked his head chef for the breakfast. Weatherby always knew how to put him in good spirits. He headed towards his study to begin getting his affaires in order before the rehearsal. En route he ran into his butler.

Henry: Wallace, send the advisors to my study, there’s much to discuss and little time.
Edgar Wallace: They’re already waiting for you sir.
Henry: Excellent.

He pushed through the door and made his way to the end of the Round Table. He supposed it was due to recent events but the demeanor of the advisors made it feel rather more like a War Room than a Study by any means. He settled in and removed his agenda from the drawer.

Chief Advisor Elisabeth Wainwright: What do we have on the docket, Sir?
Henry: First order of business, we must confirm the arrangements for my father’s funeral proceedings.
Michelle Hastings: Domestic Affaires, we have that all squared away, he’s under preparations for the wake as we speak.
Henry: Excellent, that brings us to the preparation of the Crown Jewels for tonight’s ceremony.
Reginald McIntoch: Royal Mint and Coffers, currently being cleaned and polished.
Henry: My international tour for the week after my coronation?
Prime Minister Walter Cronkite: Foreign Affaires, all squared away; you’re set to begin in the former colonies and then work your way through our closest allies.
Henry: Well then, I reckon that means it’s all settled so don’t let me keep you all hostage. Go home to your families and enjoy the rest of today because tonight begins a very busy fortnight for us all.

The advisors thanked their incumbent King and filed out of his Study. Henry leaned back in his chair and revelled in this brief hiatus from chaos dreading the long hours of work that most certainly lay ahead.

Accession - City of Key Largo [17:00 - 01.18.2020]

It had been a very long day for Prince Henry, by any metric. Hours of preparation for the impending fifteen minute long ceremony and its subsequent hoity-toity dinner reception. Though the title of King was one he had long dreamt of holding, the pomp and circumstance it accompanied he could certainly do without. Those who had come to witness his coronation didn’t love him, they didn’t care for him; they may have thought they did but what they loved was the idea of what he was to them. They would shower him in compliments all night, shoving their noses so far up his arse they’d leave with moustache shaped stains on their upper lips.

Henry would find it funny if he didn’t find it so sad. All they thought of him was what he could do for them; what his acquaintance might bring them in material gain. To think, his closest friends were his “subservients,” the people whom he would have never known had they not found employment with his father; of course, he had grown up with them, they watched him develop into the man who today would become King of the Commonwealth Realms. He resolved to take comfort in that knowledge, that, even if they were to leave his employ, they might still consider him a friend, or better yet family. He knew he would, they practically raised him; his father hardly having the time and his mother being a lowly concubine, dismissed back to the peasantry from whence she had came after delivering him an heir and a subsequent pair of twins.

He would always have them as well, he supposed; his brothers rather. Princes Regent Wallace James Stetford, the incumbent Viscount of Key Largo, and James Ignotus Stetford, Viscount of the Outer Regions. His family had grown rather bare following his father’s drawn-out tenure, requiring the redundancy of several portfolios. What was once several diverse regions under various Vicounties had been unilaterally squeezed under the umbrella of the “Outer Regions,” what a hideously uncultured name.

He sighed as he studied the TV screen in his chamber, looking at each of the faces among the fair few with the good fortune of being a part of such a momentous occasion. Status-obsessed c***s, he murmured. He could picture the status-updates, name-dropping and showboating already; the thought of it all damn near made him sick.

Henry: How much longer until this is all over with?
Edgar Wallace: Considering world averages, roughly fifty-three more years; though I could hasten that for you if you like.
Henry: [chuckling] Quit taking the piss you skivey b******, you know what I meant.
Wallace: I’d say about three hours if you’re lucky, five hours knowing you as well as I do.

Henry sighed again. He supposed now was as good a time as any to start. He opened the door and stepped out into the throne room to greet his guests.

Henry: Ladies and Gentlemen, Wallace, James, Prime Minister Cronkite and my High Advisory, I thank you all humbly for being here for this most sacred ceremony. Though our congregation is celebratory in fashion, I find it prudent that we also consider the sad circumstances for it’s necessity. It is for this reason that I ask we all take a brief moment of silence in memory of my late father, King Henry Wallace Stetford II.

The room fell tangibly silent for some time. Henry revelled in it, taking great joy in this momentary lapse of networking. As the crowd grew restless he decided it time to get on with the formalities.

Henry: The millenia-old tradition of Key Largo has been for the coronation of her King to be carried out by the Grand Poobah of the Transcendentalist Church, so at this time I would like to ask his Holiness, Iti Yoto to join me by the throne.

The Grand Poobah rose from the front of the crowd and made his way to Prince Henry. He struggled somewhat at first, his age truly beginning to show. He was one of the few in this room Henry took pleasure in seeing; he had always hoped Iti would be the one to coronate him. In recent years it seemed less and less likely his wish would be granted, 106 years was not an age many men achieved; but it would seem God had wanted this for Henry as well.

When Iti made it to the throne, Henry dropped to his knees.

Iti Yoto: Prince Henry Michael Stetford III, long have I awaited this day. Nearly fifty year ago, I had the privilege of coronating your father King of the Commonwealth Realms, and today I have the very same privilege of declaring your accession. In my life, I have seen four King of this beautiful nation; of them I can say that in none did I see more promise than I do in you. You have character and value like none before you, and though they all were indeed great men, I feel sure you will be twice the man of even your father. It is with this certainty that I take up this, the sword of King Ignotus I, the inaugural Monarch of these Realm. As I lift this sword from your left shoulder to your right, I declare you, Henry Michael Stetford III, in the name of King Ignotus I and with God as my witness, the fifty-sixth King of Key Largo and her Outer Realm. I take this Crown, worn first by King William VII and then by every King up to your father, and place it upon your head. King Henry III, you may now accede to your throne and address your people; may God guard you and guide you as you carry out your reign.

Henry rose to his feet, hesitating at first; the weight of the Crown surprised him. He walked slowly towards his father’s - nay, his throne and took his seat. This was everything he had thought it would be. He revelled in this moment for some time, almost relishing it, committing every detail to memory; it was unfathomable to the young King how, from the greatest sorrow in his life could come his fondest memory yet. He suddenly remembered he was far from alone and finally addressed the public.

King Henry: Your Holiness, I thank you sincerely for your time. I am humbled by your contributions to myself and to my family, it brings me great pleasure to have you here today and I hope to work closely with you for years to come. Prime Minister Cronkite, I greatly look forward to working with you and the rest of my Advisory to help this country continue to be as great as it has been for the last 1200 years and to maintain our storied foreign relations with our closest allies. Ladies and gentlemen of the public both here and in absentia, I look forward to leading you for as long as I may have this honour. I am humbled by your unwavering loyalty to my family and the dynasties before us and hope sincerely to honour it and to maintain it through the years to come. Now, without any further ado, I would like to invite all of you here with us to the ballroom for a reception to celebrate this momentous occasion.

Reflection - City of Key Largo [09:00 - 01.19.2020]

The day had come, King Henry sat in a limousine amidst the Royal Motorcade, driving behind the hearse which carried his father’s casket. The wake and pre-ceremony reception had gone off without a hitch. Many of the world’s foremost leaders had been there, Henry getting his first chance to rub shoulders with some of his nation’s closest allies.

As they rolled through the north gate of the Cemetery, Henry prepared for yet another public statement. He supposed he would have to grow accustomed to this, it would be his job for the foreseeable future after all, but with time perhaps it would come.

He watched the Grand Poobah out the door then swiftly followed, taking place behind the colour guard which had been assembled to serve as pallbearers. They slowly made their way up the hill, Henry turned to look back across the grounds and took in the enormity of his father’s funeral procession. He had no gauge with which to even estimate the number of people who had come to see him off; it touched him deeply, his father had meant so much to even these people, most of whom had never even known him. Perhaps this was the beauty of this job.

After a few minutes they finally reached the headstone by which his father would rest for eternity. The colour guard placed his father’s casket atop the burial vault and Henry and Iti made their way to the foot of the grave.

King Henry: Ladies and Gentlemen, I thank you all for being here with me and my family on this day of great mourning. Several days ago we all lost a man near and dear to our hearts, and today we gather to remember the life this wonderful man lead and the incredible things he achieved for each and every one of us. My father was a well-loved King. Both domestically and throughout the world, he rarely met even the slightest disdain. On this day we remember the long life and many achievements of this man, as we look back not in sadness, but in gratitude, for the contributions he made in his time here on Earth. I now ask Grand Poobah Iti Yoto to bless my father’s transition from our mortal plain unto the afterlife.
Iti Yoto: In John fourteen, verses one through three, Jesus say, “do not let your heart be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’ house have many room; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” He have prepared a most beauteous room in his Father’ house for our beloved King Henry II; and one day we will meet him once more in the afterlife, for God have prepared room for each and every one of us as well. ”For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, so that whosoever believe in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” This is the fate that await us all, so long as we lead a life of righteousness, for ”in the path of righteousness is life, and in it pathway, there is no death.”. I ask you all now join me in prayer. [he bows his head] Dear Lord, I come to you with humble request for the safe passage of this most beloved man unto the afterlife. He come to you a man of great charity and compassion, who have dedicated his life to service of your children which you have left in his care. Children who have come to love him and his sacrifice for them, knowing that each decision of his Kingdom were made for them. [he lifts his head] ”The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pasture: he leadeth me beside the still water. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the path of righteousness for his name' sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemy: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”
King Henry: Thank you for those beautiful words, your Holiness. At this time I invite you all back to the grounds of the Royal Palace for a celebration of life in honour of King Henry II.

He stepped forward to lean over his father’s casket and kissed it softly before the colour guard slowly lowered it into the ground.

Delivrance - NewsLargo [09:25 KDT - 01.19.2020]

A man sits backstage, preparing for one of the most important broadcasts of his career as a News Anchor. The funeral of a King and the accession of his successor was a huge responsibility, the pressure was truly on. He went over the teleprompter a handful of times as his team applied makeup and styled his hair. He popped an Adderall to keep him sharp and then bounced out of the chair to walk down to his desk. He took his time though, really taking in his surroundings to try and keep himself grounded.

Elisabeth Drummond: On in five Richard.
Richard Foxworthy: Ready as ever Lis [he chuckled].

He took his seat and let out one final deep sigh before doing some quick vocal warmups. Everything was routine at this point in his career but he still couldn’t help but feel nervous. He took a sip from the steaming mug of tea that had been left for him but burned his tongue.

Richard: F***! You should’ve warned me Lis, this tea is too d*** hot.
Lis: Grow a pair, Dick, it’s as warm as ever.

He laughed it off as she counted him in. Five, four, three, two…

Richard: Good morning Key Largo, I’m Richard Foxworthy and today I bring you coverage of the Black Sunday proceedings. As I am sure you all remember, a few days ago our beloved King, Henry Wallace Stetford II passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of ninety-four. His son, now-King, Henry Michael Stetford III delivered some deeply touching words in his eulogy before Grand Poobah of the Transcendentalist Church, Iti Yoto, carried out the benediction with deeply stirring words about Godliness and the pursuit of righteousness in life and action.

Broadcast of the funeral service began to play on screen two as he relished in this short break. So far so good, Dick, he thought. He took another deep gulp from his tea before Lis counted him back in.

Richard: Incredibly moving stuff. Throughout the next week and a half King Henry III will set out on a national and then global PR tour to become more well acquainted with his people and our nation’s closest allies. He will begin in the City of Key Largo and then work his way through each of the Outer Regions before setting off on an international tour beginning in the United States and then Swanovia. More information will come as we get it here, I am Richard Foxworthy, of NewsLargo.

The Coast of Argentina - Battlecruiser SMS Bayern

SMS Bayern was one of the latest designs of battlecruisers on the rosters of the Bewaffnete Marine, having been laid down at the Prussian naval yards at Kiel in 2069. As part of Detachment 3B deployed out of France in 2071, the ship was escorted by four destroyers along with an assortment of other vessels. It visited various ports on its first sea-going deployment, and on its return trip, it anchored off of the coast of Argentina to rendezvous with several supply ships. While the taskforce is anchored, they have received various transmissions from the Argentinians or, what can be inferred as the Argentinians.

“Admiral Lichtwark - we have received a transmission from the Argentinians, sir. They demand to know our intentions.”

“Put them through.” The Admiral says. “This is most definitely unexpected.”

“¡Atención barco no identificado! ¡Expresa tus intenciones! ¡El incumplimiento dará como resultado un embarque!” the Argentinian says.

With the use of a translator, the Admiral spoke back with a stern response. “
Esto es SMS Bavaria. Tenemos un grupo de trabajo fuertemente armado que escolta nuestro culto; cualquier acción hostil resultará en una destrucción inmediata”

“Order all guns on the Argentinians, hold your fire.” Admiral Lichtwark promptly contacted Supreme Commander Albert Pryde, seeing an opportunity to expand the Prussian sphere of influence.

“General Pryde, I have made contact with the Argentinians. We haven’t had contact with those isolationists in… nearly decades.” the admiral tells him.

After a few minutes of debating, General Pryde came to a decision, “Make a deal with these Argentinians. If we can get something out of this, the Kaiser will most certainly be delighted.”

The Argentinians opened up the comlinks again, this time with their own translator. “We would like to discuss talks.”

“Perfect timing.” the Admiral said to himself. “We will discuss within the confines of our naval warship.” He stated, to which the Argentinians complied.

About two hours passed before the boarding of the Argentinian representatives. Several sailors lined up to salute the envoy as they were escorted to the mess-hall, which was hastily turned into a meeting room.

“Good morning, I take it that you three are the Argentinian envoys?” the Admiral said. “Yes, I am Head Admiral Orlin Suárez, the man next to me is Advisor to the Emperor, Dacio Fernandez, and next to him is Head Mediator of the Equalist Empire, Mario Ruiz."

Admiral Lichtwark was slightly taken aback. "Equalist Empire?" he asks. "Isn't this Argentina?"

"Well, it was." Admiral Suárez says. "We are an isolationist country, as you know."

"Perhaps you are, let us begin the talks, shall we?

Continuation of "The Coast of Argentina"

Postby The Equalist Imperium » Wed Jan 15, 2020 5:15 pm

"Quite, I'll be representing the militaristic branch on behalf of our Emperor and nation" Orlin replied vigorously "I am Dacio Fernandez, the Emperors hand and advisor, es un placer" "And I am Head Mediator, Mario Ruiz, to you that may be interpreted as a Delegate or Diplomat, I will be representing our great nation in its entirety."

Orlin proceeded to say: "I was summoned by a navel officer whom I can only assume you made contact with, I do apologize for any harsh words that may have been exchanged."

"I'll be perfectly frank, your timing could not have been better given our situation, and I'll tell you why" Mario stated. "We are currently in the middle of an...engagement."
"With all of South America at that." Dacio added rather bluntly.

"Yes" Mario Continued "We not only seek supplies and resources but allies as well, it would seem you may be the first? Our Emperor has instructed us to form relations with outside and perhaps greater powers so we may have a successful victory, such a victory could be immensely beneficial for us and perhaps even you."

"We simply wish to form a treaty, if not, a pact" Dacio said somewhat apt

The Mediator pulled out a pen and the aforementioned treaty

"While this treaty is merely a blank canvas of sorts it will hopefully lay the ground work for our future if you do indeed choose to sign it, the terms of the treaty shall now commence" Stated Mario

A few hours later...

The Head Mediator began the official signing of the treaty by reading the finalized terms aloud "The treaty terms are as follows, Prussian Military Bases are to be founded in Bahia Blanca, Neuquen, and Comodoro Vivadavia. The bases founded in Bahia Blanca will be the primary base and airfield. Neuquen, acting as a secondary base and the founding of an airfield. Finally, Comodoro will a secondary base as well as be a navel outpost. As such we only expect monthly inspections of these bases and for no major issues concerning the nations security or health to be violated. Further more, in part to having military bases founded on Equalist soil, tourism is to be expected and accepted by the Government and most importantly Emperor of the Imperium and that they must follow all major rules and laws of the state.

A trade deal has also been applied to this treaty and states that a share of our minerals and metals will be sent to aid the Prussians in just about any construction projects. In return the Prussians are not only obligated to aid us incase of invasion, but will also trade technology for said minerals." Mario Ruiz concluded.

"Do you officially accept the terms of the treaty?" All three spoke at once in a rather stern tone.

It would only be moments later that Admiral Lichwark would sign the treaty, and so, an alliance was formed.

Development of different ropes and fabrics.

Postby Monati » Wed Jan 15, 2020 11:29 pm

Development of different ropes and fabrics.

While new compounds were discovered, various other existing textile fabrics were improved with greater ductility and durability, primarily used in the medical industry, civil, and military construction projects. Scientists have found a wide resource of the new compound fabric, now designated as Escalidi CF, from a plant called Esclediahga Promini. The plant contained special cells which creates the fiber of the plant’s amazing ductility performances, marveled by its new found strength. Multiple plantations to produce more of the Escalidi CF were then established inside Guangdong, Hunan, and within the South Eastern Chinese Mainland region. Where mass production of the new fabric will be initiated and processed into several different products to be utilized for peaceful and infrastructure purposes. New ECF entwined groups of ropes into a larger and stronger compounds, therefore increasing its ductility strength even greater. The new fabric will also be issued to the Administration of the National Medical Research and Development for distribution to public and private medical tech companies to now be used and developed for antibacterial use and to replace the outdated HSF fabric still being used in civilian and military hospitals and smaller medical facilities across the nation. The Escalidi CF will now be used to create a new batch of self repairing, extremely durable, and man portable stretchers. Antibacterial ECF suits were also issued to be mandatorily used by the Ministry of Sanitary Health and Central Government by all hospitals and healthcare facilities, applying towards doctors, nurses, all surgeons of each type, as well as visitors and patients. Other regular fabrics including cotton, silk, etc, were also further enhanced of its ductility, integrating cheap methods to effectively transform its compounds.

Escalidi CF Fabric: https://www.nationstates.net/nation=monati/detail=factbook/id=1306613

Said products above will be mass produced and will be available in the international market for a low price range, although licenses will not be for sale and unauthorized production of UMAF originated and designed products will be met with fierce repercussions.

Field Report & Project 'Phoenix'

Field Report: Update on the war with Uruguay

{Day 27 of the 1st campaign} - So far we have successfully taken the capital of Uruguay and a large portion of it's western territories. As the imperiums airforce make multiple strafing/bombing runs further inland to weaken any opposition, our ground based attack is trying to push inland as well, however this is made difficult by Uruguay's military forces and are expected to break through our front lines in a matter of days if supplies is not carried out to the main fighting force. In regards to our supplies, we still are gaining a steady supply of food, ammo, medical equipment, and even troops to the front lines for the time being. While things for the most part are looking beneficial for us, we understand that this is a full scale war and are expected to engage Chile & Paraguay next, afterwards, Bolivia. {End report}

{Project 'Phoenix' Announced} - In other news, as some of you may know we rely heavy on imports of oil and coal to help run our power-plants, industrial equipment, transportation, military equipment, and homes. The project proposed by the Emperors Hand, Dacio Fernandez, to improve and expand our charcoal production, this will limit our reliance on outside exports and may eliminate the need for trading or buying for fuel entirely. While this remains to be seen, it's estimated that this'll help reduce outside prices, given we are one of the largest buyers on the market, and increase overall productivity by nearly 8% or more within the coming months. {End Report}

Officials deals signed.

Postby Monati » Thu Jan 16, 2020 7:43 pm

A trade deal was officially signed by the United Monatian Asian Federation with the United Republic of Islands, offering the tiny nations with essential electronics to help with their industrialization process for a monthly supply of valuable trash to fuel our energy-producing incinerators. A fee will be paid by the Federation of $5 ASEAN dollars per ton. Another new trade deal was signed by the nation of the Equalist Imperium featuring 12,000 tons of charcoal and soon copper as well, to be shipped to the United Monatian Asian Federation, in exchange for 23k tons of electronics and no visa requirements from both nations to migrate to each other’s nations. Last but not least, an arms deal was also signed with the Jingoistic City-State of Key Largo for 25 Type 10 MBTs for a total of 167.5 million Monat Dollars.

Biomimicry emphasized and Medical advancements.

Postby Monati » Thu Jan 16, 2020 8:07 pm

Biomimicry emphasized.

Several universities as well as companies ranging from technology development, weapons development, info tech, banking, business, and etc. Began to see the light of adopting the subject, known as Biomimicry. By copying the form, shape, and function of a particular biomass, technologies and business would see more efficient solutions and methods if such mimicry was integrated within the human societies of the United Monatian Asian Federation. Many other companies before, have implemented the method of biomimicry for several years, experimenting in different tactics to achieve more efficiency.

What is Biomimicry?

Biomimetics or biomimicry is the imitation of the models, systems, and elements of nature for the purpose of solving complex human problems. The terms "biomimetics" and "biomimicry" derive from Ancient Greek: βίος (bios), life, and μίμησις (mīmēsis), imitation, from μιμεῖσθαι (mīmeisthai), to imitate, from μῖμος (mimos), actor. A closely related field is bionics.

The tiny hooks on bur fruits, inspired Velcro tape.
Living organisms have evolved well-adapted structures and materials over geological time through natural selection. Biomimetics has given rise to new technologies inspired by biological solutions at macro and nanoscales. Humans have looked at nature for answers to problems throughout our existence. Nature has solved engineering problems such as self-healing abilities, environmental exposure tolerance and resistance, hydrophobicity, self-assembly, and harnessing solar energy.

One such company founded in UMAF, majoring in structural development for medical and engineering products, have developed and integrated biological functions from such are lightweight bars filled with lighter compositions, simulating bone like filament within, therefore increasing the structural bar's strength and durability, while further minimizing its overall weight. Although this said design was introduced back in the 1950s, the design today has significantly advanced, meeting its peak potential, being utilized in aircraft and vehicle designs as well. Another company within the UMAF, specifically for medical tech development, used rags and other surfaces that are high risk of bacteria accumulation, with micro patterns sticking out of the rags to deter bacteria from resting within said surface.

Such studies were further digressed and highly emphasized within almost every field of study in many universities and companies. Starting a new era of biomimicry, in some member nations, such as Hong Kong and Macau, instituted the use of Biomimicry as a necessity, in order to improve and solve the growing challenges the two states will face in the future.

Biomedical advancements.

New biomedical advancements have steadily been increasing and due to the emphasis on the use of biomimicry, more and more of the UMAF's newest medical technologies saw better performance in its design. With emphasis on mimicking biological functions integrated in medical technologies, UMAF was considered the nation with one of the most and if not, that boasts the best medical technology industry in the world. Newer implementations and experiments within the industry is being conducted almost every single day, with the exception of weekends, to provide better results and use to save many lives. On top of that, the government, along with the private sectors of the medical technology industries, have collaborated in the funding of finding a cure for cancer and many other diseases, such as STDs and HIVs. Looking more towards biological and cell engineering, the scientists set out to create and/or repurpose many particular compatible cells to fight against said diseases. As a result of the government's collaboration, subsidies and incentives were given to said private sectors to help with the advancements of biological and cell engineering. The private companies majoring in medical tech and cell engineering are listed below.

Med Dev Corp.
Ishna MedTech.
Lee Su Inc.
Lou & Sho Medical Technologies.
Ogro Cell co.
Cell Eng. Institute.
BioCell Dev.
Aurod MCEI.
Shanja Alliad Co.
MTEC.
Monat TECH Center
Cell Engineering Technology Institute

And many more.

Medical technologies have been improving more on surgical treatments from the heart, brain, liver, as well as serving better tech and services for amputated patients. More research is currently being conducted to promote nerve cell regeneration through cell engineering. Currently the larger Monat TECH Center, boasts large quantities of flasks and containers, reach containing several experiments of different process of engineering a particular nerve cell. Each having successfully passed one or three requirements but end up failing the next, and vice versa. Experiments for nerve cell regeneration and cures for dangerous diseases have been progressing for years, now the government will put its tax money to fund however much they can to help progress its development. As for industries developing med techs, more subsidies and incentives were given once more, helping several of the listed companies to build several more facilities within China and Taiwan.

SIAM - Southeast Asia [2070 AD]

War Map with Invasion Plans

March to Bangkok Map

The Lions Den - City of Key Largo [09:00 KDT - 02.25.2070]

King Henry and his advisors sit in the War Room of the Royal Palace, deliberating the final details of their impending invasion of the Kingdom of Siam. Though he has only reigned a month, an eventful month it had been indeed. His first order of business involved a significant realignment of the nation’s military, a sharp rise in conscription in preparation for ambitious expansion efforts and a generous increase in the nation’s Military budget. Music to the ears of General Wallace Regis MacArthur, Minister for Defense of Key Largo, though it still came with some concern.

General: We are certain that we have the upper hand in this conflict, my liege? I’ve been so busy implementing the new training regimens, I’ve had hardly the time to determine our new might.
King Henry: Deadly certain. With our new conscription rates we outnumber the Siamese nearly three to one in manpower alone; and with the ground forces vehicles en route from Monati and the Naval ships from Swanovia we will certainly gain an even heftier buff.
General: Excellent; all of that being said, I see no reason not to move forward with these plans - though I hardly speak for the room.
Prime Minister Walter Lawrence Cronkite: Are we entirely sure it’s prudent to invade our neighbour? Have we considered the long-term repercussions of such action, that is. We gain three new neighbours through such a move and seeming too ambitious could lead to some level of retribution from any of them - I personally fear action from Burma most severely.
King Henry: What be the relations between the Burmese and the Siamese?
Prime Minister: Not of any consequence at this time, but if they fear they may come next it may not matter.
King Henry: Then I say we tread lightly if we should near the Burmese border at any time. Once the invasion is well established I shall venture to Burma and assuage any concerns of their Supreme Leader. Does this iron out your greatest fears Mr. Cronkite?
Prime Minister: Certainly, Sir; I do hope things pan out as you expect, I needn’t remind you of the public relations nightmare this could lead to should such an expansion fail so early on in your tenure.
Reginald Jameson McIntoch: The PR concerns be f***ed, what of the financial impact of such a conflict?
King Henry: As a show of good faith to the people, I wish for the conflict itself to be funded from my personal Coffers. Make knowledge of this as public as possible, we can’t afford to neglect capitalising on the public relations benefits of this move in the unlikely event that our moves fail. In respect to the military itself though, I have reworked the budget to allow for our recent moves without increased funding to the government as a whole. Some of the less essential programmes had to be left on the cutting-room floor but all worthwhile in the long run I am sure. The economic stimulation from the war effort along will be enough to reinstate them, and the capital gained should the Siamese capitulate and surrender their dominion to our flag could fund them thrice-over I’m sure.

The Minister for the Royal Mint was almost visibly salivating at the sound of such a promising venture. It almost sounded too good to be true, but the King’s logic was sound. Henry had certainly done his research; nevermind his preparation. His five year plan for revamping the Largae military was certainly alluring. With the shipments from Monati arriving days ago and the Swanovian ships due in the next few years the ground and naval forces would improve dramatically from their previously outdated state. Domestically he had shifted focus toward Air Force development, this making a good amount of sense with the geography in the immediate vicinity of his burgeoning nation. Though the particular details of the impending developments had not been shared with the Advisory, he certainly did not sell them short.

King Henry: So? Final thoughts?
General: I think I speak for the whole of us when I say, you have my unwavering support in this venture; I will rally the troops and begin moving our regiments to their battle stations.
King Henry: Excellent, I am glad we are all on board.

”Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human can indulge…” - Border of Key Largo and Siam [04:00 KDT - 02.28.2070]

Tens of battalions stood along the foothills of Ito, Key Largo, awaiting direction from their Generals and the King himself. Henry had made a very public appearance - or at least, what would be one when reports of the invasion were finally briefed - on the front lines of what would soon become one of the bloodiest conflicts in the long, and traditionally peaceful, Largae history. He studied the faces of each of his soldiers scrupulously, searching for even the slightest sign of wavering surety in the task ahead; he was determined to lead with his fiercest soldiers, to allow them to set the tone for the conflict as a whole.

King Henry: Before you lies a battlefield many men have died to command. The Malay people of these regions before us fought fiercely, determined to seize this peninsula from the Siamese in the late 1200s. Armed with the memory of these men, we will push forward into what remains of the once vast Siamese Empire and take it in one fell swoop. We will take it as our forefathers did these Outer Regions, and as their forefathers took the Crown Jewel, Key Largo herself. We will do this for they that came before us, and those that will come after we are long gone; for those at home and those who never returned to theirs. Most importantly we will do this for ourselves, for this is no greater honour than self-determinance in this world. At your Generals’ ready we shall embark on this most glorious expedition. To the victors go the spoils, for the glory of Key Largo!
All: For the glory of Key Largo!

Henry was confident his words would inspire great courage throughout his legions, the courage necessary to get through the conflict and strife that lie ahead for each and every one of his men. He had faith in his soldiers, but even he was not delusional enough to expect this war to be brief by any measure; it would be arduous by every definition of the word - but it was necessary. If he were to achieve the good graces of his father and the Kings before him he would have to do something extraordinary, and this certainly fit the bill. He walked among the ranks of men that dotted the hills as he made his way back to the camp.

As he approached his tent he turned to take one final look at the soldiers he would be sending into battle. He studied them with the same scrupulousness as before - they were a fearsome bunch, formidable. He felt certain that they would make relatively short work of the Siamese soldiers they may face ahead, the element of surprise in this invasion certainly leading to some benefit. He anticipated little resistance in the early days, they would march perhaps 100 miles through the dense jungles of the peninsula before being detected by enemy forces; even after first detection they would have nearly twelve hours before any real resistance force was assembled and deployed. By this time they might be nearly into Bangkok and the writing on the wall almost impossible to ignore for the Siamese forces.

He reclined in his chair and peered out through the folds of his tent, observing in awe as his forces deployed full steam into Siamese territory. The war had commenced, for better or worse, and from this point there was no way back.

Days 1-2 - Trang, Siam [19:00 KDT - 03.02.2070]

The early days of the invasion went much the way King Henry had anticipated. The Largae forces moved swiftly through the jungles, hampered slightly by the dense underbrush. The bushes were almost too quiet for their comfort. They marched the first two days straight, the lowlands posing a serious threat in the form of trenchfoot; as the second day drew into its august hours, however, the Commanders decided it was more than time to rest at last.

The first base camp was set in Trang, seven miles west of the Praiwan Waterfall deep in the jungles of the Malay Peninsula. As the soldiers tucked in for the night their Generals took the liberty of exploring their surroundings; after all, if you’re taking territory, you might as well appreciate its beauty in the process. It wasn’t the largest waterfall they had ever seen by any metric, but it was beautiful nonetheless.

General MacArthur: Well men, it’s been a long two days but quite worth the pain in my eyes.
General Douglas: Certainly, though this view isn’t quite what I’d expected from the reviews.
General Watford: In all fairness, when is TripAdvisor ever right?

The men laughed.

General MacArthur: I imagine it’s a fair bit prettier in the daylight, in all honesty. The way the sunlight catches off the running water is the bulk of the appeal of these majestic natural formations after all.
General Watford: Why say in so many words what you could simply say with, “I’m gay”?
General MacArthur: Easy, Watford [he chuckled]. You know what I’m on about.
General Douglas: Indeed. The men seem to be in good spirits despite the lot of the situation. Definitely promising in the early days, though we haven’t seen much resistance thus far.
General MacArthur: True, but it’s not like we expected any more in that regard. As long as we keep our progress as quiet as possible, we should continue to have this luck. The pair of highways ahead pose a fairly significant obstacle but if we time our march just right we might get lucky. The first seems relatively slow from the recon we did in advance, so if we break ranks and work our way through patiently we may evade detection yet.
General Watford: That seems a bit tedious, are we sure that the pros of such a move outweigh our odds facing a resistance?
General MacArthur: Near certain; defensive installments throughout these jungles would be near impossible to break through even with the American military. Though we outclass their forces by most metrics, a war of attrition this early on would not be in our favour.
General Remus: But of the other legions coming by sea? Wouldn’t a distraction from our front be advantageous to theirs?
General MacArthur: Perhaps, but we can’t divert this many of our men to such a distraction. With time we might break off to split their resources but for now we must remain vigilant.

A silence fell across the group. They all knew the Minister was right, though they wished there were any other option. This war would be fruitful if successful, of this there was no doubt, but the duration would certainly cause strife on the homefront; the support of the people was vital to their success in the long run as well. They all wondered for how long they may march before the people of Key Largo even learn of their mission; the news briefings not planned until the first sign of resistance. The most optimistic of them placed first detection around Chumphon; the peninsula narrowing out meant many fewer places to hide. Perhaps they divert through Burma at some juncture, but the risk would have to be assessed shortly before such a decision. Nothing could spoil this war quicker than two enemy states.

They turned to make their way back to base in hopes of getting some sleep before they set off at 01:00 the next morning. They hoped to reach the highway before dawn to capitalise on the cover of night as they crossed over. Civilian casualties were to be avoided at all costs and the risk was certainly there if they intercepted too many morning commuters.

Days 3-4 - Nakhon, Siam [19:00 KDT - 03.04.2020]

The next two days passed as uneventfully as the first. They had kept a solid pace thus far, each of the highways had posed less of a threat to their cover than first anticipated, though they would soon be facing the most serious threat to their plans so far. The Generals again took the liberty of exploring their surroundings, taking the short four mile hike to Yong Waterfall in the Nakhon region of Siam. As they arrived at the viewing area, they realised that this was much the same as the waterfall at Trang.

General Watford: Is there nothing else along this path to see but waterfalls? I’m growing rather tired of them if I’m completely honest. They’re nothing next to Niagara in the Americas or Victoria Falls - why do we keep wasting our time here?
General Douglas: I agree, if I see another bloody waterfall I might off myself.
General MacArthur: I understand your frustration, and I promise here on out we will have more picturesque breaking points; but I figured even this is better than congregating in front of the soldiers.
General Remus: I suppose. When given the option between a s***ty waterfall and enduring the sad sight of Peters attempting to b** everyone at base camp, this is the less nausea-inducing of the lot.
General MacArthur: Oi, pipe down with that. “Don’t ask, don’t tell” was less to keep them out and more to spare our imaginations the image; there’s a reason I sleep on my back zipped tight in those godforsaken potato sack comforters.
General Douglas: Blessed be the men who bunk with that b***er.
General Wickens: Alright boys, ease up on the poor b*******; he’s as much a man as any of the other p***s we call soldiers.
General MacArthur: Wickens is right, we should get back anyways. Another early morning tomorrow after all.

Week 1 - Ratchaprapha, Siam [19:00 KDT - 03.08.2070]

One day to Khao Luang followed by a night of salty banter followed by three more to Ratchaprapha and the men found themselves nearly a third of the way to Bangkok. One more three day march and they would find themselves at a fairly significant crossroads. The men revelled in their long-awaited night of rest - the three days of marching had taken a real toll on morale, so they decided they would embark just a few hours later the following morning; a well-deserved treat for men who had had little to occupy themselves throughout this mind numbingly uneventful first week. This and the previous stop had been much more of a treat for the Generals as well. They broke far closer to the sightseeing points of interest than they had in the early days, granting a reprieve from additional hiking to the normally dormant officers.

General Douglas: I must say these last two stops have been quite the treat, Minister.
General MacArthur: I told you, patience is a virtue you nonce [he chuckled], but I must say I am pleased they’ve been up to snuff for you lot. I suppose this is where we settle on which direction we break off at the Burmese border, boys.
General Watford: Well I had the cavalry do a bit of recon earlier today and it appears that so long as we just about trace the Burmese border up the remainder of the peninsula we should remain almost completely concealed; the relations between these two nations appear to be so minimal that there are few border crossings before we get back to the mainland portion of their territories.
General MacArthur: Sound logic as any in my opinion, unless we have any objectors? [he pauses] No? Good. That might’ve been the easiest logistical meeting in my time as Minister, and it might certainly be the easiest in this campaign. We are nearing the more populous sections of Siam so I am sure I needn’t remind you all that we must proceed with extreme caution.
General Douglas: If you remind me another time I might just disregard your warnings for the sake of halting the broken record.
General MacArthur: Fine, fine; you do understand the importance of that warning though, correct? If even one of you pikey b******s gets sniffed out by a Siamese we face immediate retribution; and this is the worst place imaginable to face any sort of defensive effort.

The Minister was certainly not exaggerating there; this peninsula posed a significant bottleneck if they’d ever faced one in an invasion prior, one that would be near impossible to slip through. They outnumbered the Siamese forces, yes, but facing a defensive flesh wall that deep would be suicide; even a victory would require losses far in excess of what they could afford if they wished to continue with King Henry’s plans for the immediate future.

General Remus: So we proceed up the border with extreme caution; does this mean we cut back pace for the time being or do we proceed as we were and hope for the best?
General MacArthur: As we were, I think; even I see the risk of being overly cautious as we draw closer to seige. The one thing nearly as fatal as resistance at this bottleneck is any significant loss of morale among our men, and even at this pace we face that risk in the long term. Not to mention the requirements for synchronisation. The naval legions are still at base in Transnistra awaiting our signal.
General Douglas: And how long is their journey then?
General MacArthur: Three days by ship, barring any unforeseen obstacles. Should those come up they may never make it, but no matter; we should still have the manpower and resources to outlast the enemy in our own corps.
General Watford: I suppose that eases some concerns among our men then, I might be sure to notify our Commanders so that message works its way down the ranks; can’t hurt giving them something to believe in despite the uncertainty of reinforcements.
General MacArthur: Not to mention, should the naval corps fall to natural disaster or interception, our Air Force will certainly be an option for further attempts at fortification; and otherwise, a good strafing can do a lot to enemy morale, though our recon will have to be precise before we call them in, civilian casualties will not be tolerated. “At all costs” shall not include the cost of innocent lives, it defeats the purpose of this invasion in its entirety.
General Douglas: And what might that purpose be?
General MacArthur: Economic gain, population growth, and military honour. Nothing more and certainly nothing less. Now let us get some sleep; these next few weeks will be trying for even our most loyal men, we must be fully present throughout.

They turned back to camp to turn in for the night. Trying times lie ahead indeed, this much they knew; but just how trying they would be very much remained to be seen.

The Malay Peninsula - Phetchaburi, Siam [19:00 KDT - 03.24.2070]

24th March, 2070

The hike up the peninsula has been arduous to say the very least. On several occasions our men mistook larger animals in the jungle for enemy forces. I had to remind them that, to the Siamese, the conflict had not even started; they would hardly be patrolling the jungles deep into their territory along the Burmese border. They concerned me, however - the Burmese rather - under a Military Dictatorship I would be far less surprised to see their soldiers patrolling the far side of the border; mercifully there was little development on their side this far south (it is beyond me why we don’t just assert control of their peninsular tail when all is said and done and use their aggression as justification of a full-scale invasion, but a suggestion for a later date perhaps).

We saw several national parks along the way; the Generals were pleased. The wildlife is quite diverse - much more so than we had anticipated this far north. For the men this was a slight morale booster, they enjoyed the scenery; though when the more threatening animals came out at night it may have offset the benefits to say the very least.

Few men have fallen off thus far, which surprises me greatly. We have maintained a rather ambitious pace for far longer than would generally be acceptable, but perhaps our new King inspires some level of confidence in our troops. We’ve lost a small handful of men to trenchfoot and natural intervention, but not nearly as many non-combat casualties as the plans had allowed for. I was optimistic from the start by most metrics, but my spirits had somehow risen as we drove further on (despite my fitness level - or lack thereof - causing some bodily protest to the hike). We figured marching alongside our soldiers might help morale further - we need every bit of assistance we can get there really - and so far it seemed to be working; though my morale was certainly waning as a result.

We draw ever closer to Bangkok now, some taller buildings are beginning to grow more visible above the treeline as we move through the sparser sections of the jungle - though at this stage I would call it more of a forest despite the rain. If our plans are accurate we have one more camp to set before we reach the capital, though a siege of such a densely populated city would certainly be a tall order. So long as we move swiftly toward the palace, however, things should go over rather smoothly (for lack of a better word).

You can sense the anticipation in the troops for the road ahead; it almost feels as though they crave some sort of reaction from the enemy forces, though with so little for so long you can hardly blame them - even death beats out this level of sheer boredom. These have to be the driest logs I’ve written in my long tenure at the helm of these forces, and this is our first invasion in nearly fifty years. By my best estimates we are ninety miles outside the city, though I’d like to make my way straight in to preserve the element of surprise it is certainly prudent we take some reprieve before entering battle. Granted night watch is going to become a significantly more serious task as we draw nearer.

Long days lay ahead, that is for certain, so perhaps I should rest; tonight may be the last uninterrupted night of sleep for the foreseeable future.

General Wallace Regis MacArthur

First Contact - Bangkok, Siam [07:00 KDT - 03.28.2070]

The Largae corps made it much deeper into Siamese territory than anticipated before the first sign of a Siamese resistance developed; though unfortunately they did not make it as far as they had hoped. They had penetrated the outer borders of the city of Bangkok at least, though they did not make it much further than Yan Nawa, a neighborhood nearly an hour from the Grand Palace by foot. While they were tied up with the Siamese ground forces, however, the naval reinforcements made their way swiftly up the Chao Phraya River to the front door of the Grand Palace.

Though the naval insertion had all but won the war, the fighting was far from over. Even with de facto control of the capital, there would certainly be rebellion throughout the northern regions of Siam for the days to come, rebellion that would have to be faced with swift reaction on the part of the Largae forces. There were several military bases throughout the neighbouring regions that lie on the path of MacArthur’s legions in the months to come, and with time they would all face judgement; but for now the Minister stood and revelled in what looked to be a resounding victory for his men.

The front lines of the conflict were bloody, even for this grizzled veteran. Lance Corporal Michael Vo stared his enemy combatants down valiantly as his squadron marched steadily through the streets of uptown Bangkok. Several regiments had been dedicated to the safeguarding of Siamese civilians, evacuating them from the sudden warzone that had become of their beautiful city, anything to generate positive press in the future dominion. Rumours had spread through the ranks that the Siamese King had long since abdicated his throne, cherishing his life above his power and trading the latter to King Henry in exchange for the former. If Henry was anything like his father, though, the exchange would mean nothing; a royal prisoner to parade through the streets as evidence of a successful campaign abroad? He balked at the idea of the man being spared; though he couldn’t help but remain skeptical of his resignation at the sight of the continued fighting of the allegedly unlead Siamese forces, though perhaps these men cherish honour above life unlike their cowardly King.

It was a war of attrition as we had feared the whole way through the arduous march to battle; though the scales were very clearly tipped in our direction from the start, fighting so deep within their borders. Bombers and fighter jets streaked overhead en route to the Siamese Air Force bases dotted throughout the northern country; I pray they get there before they deploy their own, this war will be bloody enough without birds of prey soaring overhead. Not one moment passed after that thought crossed Michael’s mind before a blinding white light tore through the sky, subsiding to perpetuous, unwavering black.

On the Homefront - NewsLargo [12:00 KDT - 03.30.2070]

Richard Foxworthy burst through the front door of the NewsLargo broadcasting center, suit and tie in hand as he sprinted backstage to ready himself for work; he wasn’t due in for another hour but the world never takes a break. He’d woken to a frantic call from his publicist informing him of a dispatch sent from the office of the King himself and had left in such a rush he nearly forgot his dress shoes.

Elisabeth Drummond: Transcript is in the usual place Dick, run over it a few times then get back out here as quickly as you can, we can’t let the other channels beat us to the story.
Richard: You got it boss.

He read through the dispatch a handful of times, through the first few the words not quite sinking in. Around the fifth time he skimmed the sheet it hit him. His mouth agape he couldn’t even try to hide his awe at what he had just read.

Richard: Is it true?
Elisabeth: I don’t want it to be, but it has to be; straight in from the High Advisory, there’s no way they’d want this to break if it weren’t.
Richard: How do I deliver a story like this?
Elisabeth: Naturally; as you are works perfectly, can’t seem too calm about something like this - just read the dispatch and let yourself react however you feel, can’t overthink this too much can you?
Richard: S’pose not, I reckon we get on with this then.

He rose from his chair and lumbered towards his desk; a job that he so often looked forward to - but today, today he dreaded looking into that camera. As Lis counted him in he took one final, solid gulp and went straight in.

Richard: Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. We interrupt your ordinarily scheduled broadcast with breaking news. We have received reports from the office of King Henry III that over the last several weeks, a top secret invasion has been conducted through the jungles of Siam in which hundreds of thousands of our nation’s finest soldiers meticulously worked their way towards the Siamese capital in Bangkok. Their efforts to go undetected were a resounding success until they neared their final destination, pushing forward to just miles from the Grand Palace before being forced to dig their heels in by enemy forces. A large scale battle erupted in the streets of Bangkok, with several regiments of the Largae forces working determinedly to evacuate the civilian residents of the city. After the first day of fighting drew to a close, nearly all non-military residents had cleared the city limits and the volley of gunfire still rang out through the otherwise eerily silent night. Earlier that same day, amphibious ships landed at the front door of the Grand Palace by way of the Chao Phraya River, the Naval Infantrymen making quick work of the Palace guard and working their way through the building to the Siamese King, who has reportedly abdicated his throne and surrendered to Largae forces.

However, his top Generals did not seem to get this message as fighting has continued nonetheless. The Largae Air Force dispatched shortly after it became clear that battle would not subside in the foreseeable future, en route to the various Siamese Airfields throughout the northern regions of the country. Most were crippled by drone strafing and controlled bombings, however, some planes did manage to escape. One of these planes, a heavily updated Mitsubishi Ki-21 bomber, found its way to Bangkok, dropping its load on the soldiers below. The resulting explosion killed several thousand soldiers on both sides, the current estimated death toll being a combined 53,000 soldiers. In the blast many historic buildings were destroyed, and the Minister for Defense, General Wallace Regis MacArthur, was unfortunately counted among the fallen, his body being identified near Saranrom Palace Park where he was reportedly negotiating with top brass from the enemy forces a ceasefire to sort out the events that had transpired.

We will now observe a moment of silence for General MacArthur, after which this channel will go silent for the rest of today in honour of the 21,000 Largae soldiers lost at Bangkok last night; may they all rest in peace.

In Memoriam - City of Key Largo [04.06.2070]

King Henry: At Bangkok we lost many great men; each and every one I feel a great deal of responsibility for. The loss of life disheartens me, at the hands of a campaign that had all the right ingredients to be all but peaceful to the end. Among these men, we lost one particular sole whom I hold - or rather, held - very near and dear to my heart. General Wallace Regis MacArthur was a wonderful man. I had the great honour of studying military tradition under him in my youth, and in a way he was almost like a second father to me. He was a sly man in his business and an honest man at home, he believed in his men above anything else and would have died for any one man that serve under him. He was a decorated veteran of our nation’s armed forces, serving twenty-five years as a soldier before making the transition to officer in his middling years. No man in the history of our nation’s fine military, nor do I believe that of any other, moved so swiftly up the ranks. Not five years after first leading his own legion was he the Commander of the Army as a whole, and not two years later was he the Minister for Defense of my father’s High Advisory.

Though traditionally, each King choose his own Cabinet, I reaffirmed that of my father for one cardinal reason: each and every one of these men were worth their weight in gold for their job; and for no one did that ring more true than for General MacArthur. It is with this in my heart that I pray: dear Lord, I do humbly ask your sure hand ensure the careful transit of this most divine spirit between our world and yours. For he hath so sacrificed for each and every one of us here that there is no man in my mind more deserving to walk with you in the land of eternal life. Once he arrives, please ensure he knows that his memory lives on in the hearts of each and every one of us. In the name of your son, Jesus Christ, amen.

The King slowly walked back to his motorcade and ducked into his limousine. By most metrics the invasion had been a resounding success. The Siamese King had abdicated, their military eventually gave way and surrendered to the Largae. A time of fruitful prosperity would certainly come, though he couldn’t help but lament the great men they had lost. The shoes of General MacArthur would be incredibly large ones to fill, this was for certain; but if he hoped to continue his grand plans, it would be a necessity moving forward.

King Henry: Marcus, let us go. There is much work to be done, and should I sit and mope Wallace will have died in vain.

His driver nodded sternly and turned out of the cemetery to return to the Palace; much work to be done indeed, one never knows how much time they truly have left, and if King Henry were to be remembered at all, he would have to work quickly.

Path to a safer Nuclear Reactor.

Postby Monati » Fri Jan 17, 2020 1:42 pm

Path to a safer Nuclear Reactor.

Although the advent of Nuclear Power had caused a major accident that has realized potent radioactive particles due to the unprepared earthquake which was followed by a large tsunami, the government of the UMAF although, still acknowledges the important use of such technologies. As a result, several companies fully involved in improving the UMAF's energy sector, have significantly received various subsidies and incentives to develop a safer alternative towards nuclear reactors. Instead of using the generic designs of a reactor and chimneys, instead the new reactor would be given a safer game-like construction, which significantly improve its durability against natural disasters. The new design would also give the freedom for various other nuclear power plant engineering companies to design their own basis of the structures, the way they see fit. Such reactors would not only replace regular uranium rods which are less safe and easier for disasters like the Fukushima disaster to occur, but also give the ability to an easier integration of other technologies, once again if the changes are needed. The so-called SAHENR or (Safer Alternative Higher Efficiency Nuclear Reactor) would be using fuel pebbles, coated with a thick layer of composite materials that could withstand higher temperatures and pressures, which also acts as a sort of shock absorption. The leading company, Insignia Energy Corp, is the brilliant mind that created the method of encasing nuclear fuel inside a composite ball, in which a meltdown were to occur, the balls would immediately be sent to a Containment unit and safely stored with tons of water inside. Many designs were presented to the table of the meeting with the Minister of Energy, each having its distinct advantages over to the older and conventional designs. The government then approves of the project of restoring the use of nuclear energy back into the Federation! The project was then funded by over 50 billion dollars to commence building the SAHENR reactors within south of Japan, as a prototype for initial testing, once blueprints for the design is completed and approved.

Imperial justice

Since the dawn of the new Manchurian empire there’s been conflict and with it was crime and terrorism. The Manchurian government calls these groups: ‘'Radical revolutionaries’’ and promotes civilian to defend themselves against these organisations by learning close combat tactics. Recently though there’s been a increase of reported crime and the Manchurian government suspects a plot and possible revolution and dues concluded in the most resent debate between the cabinet that they must take action.

They ordered the military to step in and to neutralise any terrorist organisation groups and to try and find their strongholds. These orders while complex and required allot of coordination it became a massive success and its effect spread across Manchuria.

Northeast
In the province of Heilongjiang there’s been many houses robbed, bombed and even some murders but the Army made quick note and quickly discovered the hideouts near cities like Harbin, Mudanjiang and Qiqihar which had poorly trained ciminals defending it and lead to around 1 000 people being captured but the army wasn’t done yet as there was still many in the forests near Primorsky Krai. The army made no stops and hunted down the terrorists for days in the forests. In many soldiers soldier’s they tell of the nights and the marches through the rough forest but that they kept the moral high by singing and telling stories, one of the songs they sung oftenly by ethnic Manchu troops was Arki ucun ,which is a popular Manchurian drinking song, but other songs and even dances like ‘’On the hills of Manchuria’’ was also sung.
The first terrorists caught where called the Krai revolutionary front which wanted more autonomy to the already autonomous region. They where either arrested while being captured or killed while fighting, soon the entire organisation had been caught and sent to either prison or to be executed if they held a large influence in the organisation.
The second and third is considered one but is separated by land and has some different ideas and opinions on what they fight for which is to create a new state called Kheyluntszyan rouge state which would be an anarchist society. But nonetheless they where also caught and captured. During the arrest of the compromiser between the two groups of the terrorists he was carrying a flag of the Kheyluntszyan independence group but it was taken away and burnt in front of him which became a sign of no tolerance for the terrorist by the army and the picture of it was heavily used by the media
The final group while not as active or threatening as it used to be it was still classified as a ongoing terrorist group and has dues been hunted down by the army, who found many of the members near a small mountain where they had been creating small labs to create drugs which one of the ‘’scientists’’ said was to be used for drugging the nearby town during his trial.

Inner Mongolia
Inner Mongolia has been peaceful for many years during the Manchurian empires existence as the culture, people and education teach many how to fight crime and not to commit them but a small group suspected of coming from outer Mongolia has raided some villages which has caused outrage by the inner Mongolian provincial government. the army a couple months after the recent terrorist crack down in Heilongjiang accepted and send in small units to take out the rouge group and within some days found them and arrested them. But according to the group they where in outer Mongolia which is out of Manchurian judicial power but was still sentenced to 4 years jail

southern thrust
With the ongoing war between the UMAF and Chinese rebels many rebels have fled to Manchuria expecting assistance by their fellow Han Chinese but since the new alliance between Manchuria and UMAF and the recent breakdowns on criminals and terrorists organizations the army and police in the south has begun house raids and arrested suspects many whom are in fact guilty. The rebels many whom fled and organized small paramilitary organizations are known for being scattered but well communicated so a house to house storming would be impossible as by the time they’d gotten through half of the buildings and houses the rebel leadership would have fled as soon as they got the news. So a well coordinated operation was needed and dues the police and special ops teams constructed a plan which would start at 12:30 and hopefully be ended at around 20:00+.
The plan was to that while the special ops moved secretly through the city disguised they’d get as close as possible to the buildings suspected of housing some of the top leaders of the Chinese rebels and as they are doing so the normal police and some sniper teams where to take out the smaller and more heavily concentrated areas with Chinese rebels.
At 12:30 the operation began and its began slowly as communications between the hq and special ops became harder to do due to there being allot of people out and talking in code or unnaturally could reveal you and blow the operation so the special ops would only talk back to command when they where further away from more populous areas. After about 20 minutes the special ops had gotten to two large buildings both being highly suspected of having the leadership and after some spying it was confirmed that the leadership where in the building. And so the ops gave the permission for police and the snipers to take position as they put on gear and prepared for the operation.

‘’Tóuyūn!’’ (Huzzah) was heard over the radio and so the police moved in searching, arresting and stopping any suspect while the snipers spotted out suspects. As the police moved in the special ops climbed up onto the building top and stormed from the front door. then coming down legs first crushing the windows and quickly taking out their weapons and arresting anyone who was in front of them. The special ops moved quickly through the buildings and arrested highly known and even unknown leaders who have been not only fuelled UMAFS enemies but caused a increase in crime and poverty across southern Manchuria. Notable people where
• Wen Qigang, businessman and investor in many small criminal gangs. (execution, not public)

• Shi An, Gang leader and a overseer of the transportation of weapons between them and the Chinese rebels in UMAF controlled China (Punishment: execution, not public)

• Sun Mei, former Manchurian Officer turned rebel commander for many of the operations made for delivering supplies and refugee for rebels. (Punishment: execution, not public)

• Zhang Long, Former liberal party candidate for ministry of interior turned aristocrat. (Punishment: exile or take 3 years in prison)

• Asato Rintaro, Japanese businessman who’s involvement with the rebels is questionable. (Punishment: asked to be sent to japan for trial by the UMAF courts)

• Yin Yu, business women with questionable past. (Punishment: currently ongoing case)

• Su Fen, rich aristocrat and art collector but no full evidence for full participation or cooperation with Chinese rebels. (Punishment: currently ongoing case)

• Lei Cui, wife to Wen Qigang and known for creating brands and selling products which all sales are given to fuel the Chinese rebels. (Punishment: 2 years in prison)

Many more where arrested but many also didn’t stand trial as some had no evidence for that they where part of the rebels and where supposedly just rich people invited for a meal. But even with this it was clear that the leadership had been captured along with many of its members who currently either stand trial or will be executed. Now secured most of Manchuria has been made more safe and people across Manchuria may now feel safer as they now won’t have to worry about the constant threats by these organisations.

Victory! & Proposal of Project 'SkySoldier'

Postby The Equalist Imperium » Fri Jan 17, 2020 5:19 pm

Victory! {Day 41 of the 1st campaign}:
Due to the early collapse of Uruguay's capital, Montevideo, the battle onwards was fairly easy. Eventually after securing the capital and moving eastward from the mainland, Uruguay's military had suffered enough, and so we proposed a deal to them. The deal goes as follows, "Surrender and no one else dies", this was the agreement at its basis, they complied and so we gave them state-ship. They could act autonomously with their own separate government, religion, and military that would all adhere to the Imperium. As such, they surrendered, and now a new province has been founded in the previous country's place.

However...this came at a bit of a price where we had lost nearly 0.3 mil of our overall population to this small group, and although the people of Uruguay are still somewhat skittish especially after what had just happened, we gained only a 1.1 million people from our cumulative populations since Uruguay now belongs to us, we stand at a total of 24.4 million population and due to the distrust currently residing with the newly founded province it may as well be 24.3mil. Hopeful politicians and mediators are attempting to appeal to Uruguay's remaining population by not only helping to rebuild their infrastructure but help pay off their national debt as well.

The overall economy of Uruguay is based on similar things the Imperium exports, such as: Wine, Tropical fruits, Cotton, Copper, Iron, Aluminum, and Grains. While Grains, Iron and Wine are far more prominent in their main exports, they still have many of the same things we'd export, They also have deposits of Gold and Silver, highly valuable precious metals that can be extracted at the same rate here in the Imperium. While a lot of farmland and industries were largely untouched, a estimated 30% of all infrastructure was damaged, as we stated and according to the agreement, We Will Help Rebuild. {End Report}

Project 'SkySoldier': Project 'SkySoldier' is meant to be an integration of numerous technologies that have been tested and envisioned as our next gen. tech for the Imperium. The introduction of militarized airships is the main focus of this project and sees to far less devastating effects for our nation as this projects has many advantages. The first and most considered variant of these airships is the idea of Aerial Carriers, these carriers are short ranged, lightly armored, lightly armed vessels that can carry about 2-3 squadrons of fighters. The biggest advantage of this design is the use of it's mobile and aerial capabilities which may pave the way to more advanced and tactical versions later on, and while the vessel itself may be lacking gunning rage, defensive, and offensive abilities, it more than makes up for it by utilizing it's carrier feature and aerial mobility making it an effective, if not, interesting support craft for the Equalists. This idea for aerial support craft came about in a meeting with the Emperors Hand and a pair of engineers, this idea was later proposed to the emperor himself, Kaldwel Fernandez, to where he hastily agreed considering it's implications. {End Report}

The French-Spanish Border

Spain and the Prussian Empire had been at tensions for the past few months and years following the takeover of France. Despite that, the Kaiser had his attention turned to the Balkans and Mediterranian for his future military conquests, and during that time large amounts of military forces were stockpiled in the Alps and Czechoslovakia. This provided a chance for the Spanish to force the Prussians back out of France. To complete this, divisions were amassed on the borders in the coming days for an attack against the Prussian defenses. Tanks, soldiers, armored personnel carriers, artillery, and other such equipment and personnel could be seen in large numbers. The attack begun under the cover of darkness on various areas of the front, as tanks stormed over the border. However - this was all part of the Kaiser's grand plan.

He had foreseen it, the Spanish would fall into the trap under the guise of a lack of Prussian forces in France. While they had armed themselves to fight the Prussians, the Prussians had secretly doubled their numbers in order to push back the Spanish. To make it worse for the Spanish, the Kaiser had been secretly investing into revolutionaries in Spain that were pro-Prussian for years. As he had done in France, Poland, and now the Balkans and Italy.

Within hours, the Spanish began taking heavy losses against the Prussians. By the next day, the advance had grounded to a halt and the Prussians went on the offensive. The revolutionaries took arms in cities and towns across Spain, and the Spanish army became incredibly stretched within the first few days of war. During this, General Siegmund Hessel out maneuvered the Spanish on each attack with his own counter attack, as did his lower generals. Within two weeks, the Prussians were on the edge of Madrid. The revolutionaries, with the assistance of Skull and Death Squads had captured and killed the remaining anti-Prussians in the government - replacing them were the pro-Prussian revolutionaries. By the end of the month, Spain had capitulated and became a part of the Prussian Empire. The losses to the Spanish were severe, with nearly the bulk of their armored forces destroyed, and its aerial forces grounded or shot down. The navy was kept at port by the Prussian Navy so much so that they played a nearly non-existent role in the conflict.

Within two months time following the invasion, the Spaniards had been incorporated into the Prussian Empire. With enough assets to secure, the Kaiser would now set his sights on Italy and the Balkans.

Military Parade.

Postby Fuijan kingdom » Sat Jan 18, 2020 5:17 am

March of victory
across the nation on the radio and television a message is told by yao Feng, popular tv host,:
’’we interrupt this program for a message from the emperor:’’
Emperor King:
’’People of Manchuria, Manchu, Han, Mongol or Russian I stand before you today as emperor of this great empire and people. Recently terrorists, foreign criminals and revolutionaries who want to take away all we’ve fought for has come to our sacred land! To try and bring down our achievements, goals and dreams of peace and prosperity! But thanks to our men in uniform and the brilliance of our commanders and generals we’ve crushed the enemy for no more shall Manchuria be plagued by the rats that are the rebels and terrorists. Our sun has started going towards the sky but the enemy and their hate wants our greater sphere and place in the sun to begone and bring it towards the dark night but no matter what they do we will rise and rise and when it seems dark the sun will always rise back up. Today we must thank the soldiers who fought for the safety of Manchuria.’’
5 soldiers walked up to the emperor and where greeted by the him who then proceeded to give them their medals
Tan Fu (rewarded: The medal of Safety for the public, Reason: maintaining safety within public areas)
Zhou Ming (rewarded: The medal of Safety for the public, Reason: maintaining safety within public areas)
Jiang Ju (rewarded: Manchurian cross, Reason: for bravery in battle)
Ma Zhenya (rewarded: Manchurian red heart, Reason: showings of bravery and the savings of fellow troops)
Zi Huang (rewarded: Manchurian cross, Reason: for bravery in battle)

‘’To you 5 bravery, contribute and help we salute you and wish you only prosperity and greatness in future battles.’’ *the soldiers bowed and walked off the stage while being cheered on*

‘’And you the people have contributed and showed the world the true might of the people of Manchuria and how our fatherland functions! Our workforce has grown and our unemployment has shrunk within the last years and to that I want to show my gratitude and hopes of our great empire to forever grown stronger. for you the people I have ordered the building of a statue of our recently lost worker who helped our nation grow, Hu Zhou. payed by with my own money. This gift from me will stand and will help guide you the workers into how to improve and create the perfection for our nation.

To fatherland, emperor and people we toast and our war cry will be heard across Asia.’’

*the emperor sits down back onto his throne and the message is stopped and all is turned back into normal but in the middle Changchun a unexpected military parade is also taking place and people look out of their windows and home to see the great troops march with the imperial music following just behind them. The soldiers shout: ‘’Wànsuì!’’ (Long live the emperor!)

In traditional imperial clothing Manchu troops march after the regular army. Their spears and armour, thick and beautiful shows the great tradition of the Manchu people and with them comes also gifts such as traditional Manchu drinks, food and music. After the Manchus are the Mongols who’s throat singing brings harmony and a peaceful silence. Shortly after are the imperial guard with prince Jin Yuzhang who’s smile brings all the people joy. Jin Yuzhang who’s next in line for the throne is a popular figure being very populist yet still a staunch a monarchist. Jin Yuzhang then takes a microphone, thanks and officially ends the parade but the people still cheered and many singing old imperial songs as the military and traditionalists walk out.

Across the nations cities the national anthem can be heard and on radio its also played:

Traditional Chinese & Pinyin

’’神光開宇宙 表裏山河壯皇猷 ’’Shén guāng kāi yǔzhòu, biǎolǐ shānhé zhuàng huáng yóu
帝德之隆 巍巍蕩蕩莫與儔 Dì'dé zhī lóng wēiwēi dàngdàng mò yǔ chóu
永受天祐兮 萬壽無疆薄海謳 Yǒng shòu tiān yòu xī, wànshòuwújiāng bó hǎi xú
仰贊天業兮 輝煌日月侔’’ Yǎng zàn tiān yè xī, huīhuáng rì yuè móu’’

English translation:
''With the Universe created in God's Light, the vast land strengthens the Emperor's rule;

So full is His virtue, so wide that it is beyond compare
May He always receive divine guidance, with his years surpassing the sea;

[Let us] worship the divine work, its glory equals the sun and moon.

Filling the world with Divine light,

The Emperor's virtue is noble and worshipped.
Let us salute him with long life and prosperity
and we revere the Emperor's deeds''

A Conversation Between Rulers

Postby The Equalist Imperium » Sat Jan 18, 2020 2:43 pm

- A Conversation Between Rulers of Past, Present, and Future

"It's the annual monthly gathering today...ugh...I'm too tired for this. He though to himself as he trudged through the long halls of his home. "It really makes me wonder what this meeting is gonna be about, most likely about the war, I suppose I do have a few things I can propose to my father though." He spoke aloud to himself. "Maybe I can impress him with this new idea I've been working on, after all, I swayed his attention when I proposed airships to him...however, if that project fails I may be out on my ear and my sister will be heir. I suppose this proposition will solidify my place incase project skysoldier does indeed fail. It'll hopefully act as a second chance...just in case"

Later that evening...

"THIS ISN'T A VIABLE OPTION, YOU SAW WHAT URUGUAY DID TO US! AND IT COULD'VE BEEN MUCH WORSE IF WE HADN'T STRUCK THEIR CAPITAL FIRST THING!" Aciries said, shouting from across the the dinning hall.

"Yes, I know father...but it's our only shot if we're to escape entirely from isolationism and our debt problems...no thanks to you." Kaldwel hiss back at him.

"It was our only option at the time, th-"

"THEN THIS IS OUR OPTION NOW!" Kaldwel cut him off. "If we don't deal with our debt issues before they spiral out of control than we'll never win any war, let alone keep the nation alive! This campaign is set in place to benefit us in the long run...even if we do fall further into debt due to the war, hopefully, we'll be able to pay it off with our newly acquired land and people, trust me when I say I never wanted this either."

The room was dead silent for a moment before the emperors heir to the throne stepped in.

"Sorry I'm late...I hope I'm not interrupting anything." He spoke softly..

"No my son! Not at all, we were ju-"

"Oh nothing at all indeed, we were just arguing over how poorly your father is running the nation, that's all...!" Aciries sarcastically interrupted.

"WE WOULDN'T BE IN THIS POSITION IF YOU HADN'T PUT US THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!" Kaldwel shouted back at him.

The room was silent once more...

"Uh...Well I have a few new designs I believe you'll find interesting, perhaps even to you grandfather?"

"Hmpf. Likely not." Aciries said in a less than optimistic tone.

"Oh give the boy a chance! Let's see what you've come up with this time, your previous designs were very intriguing!"

"Well, since we had a fair amount of trouble crossing the through Uruguay due to all the hilly terrain, it got me thinking about when we may invade Chile or Bolivia, especially in Chile were their borders are mostly mountains and coastal regions." He said with a sense of urgency. "I introduce to you, The Caterpillar Tank!"

"Oh, and what's this supposed to do, eat leaves and die within it's 4 week lifespan?" Aciries stated mockingly as the emperor gave him a look.

"Um...actually quite the contrary, you see, this is meant to act as a heavily armored transport, or cargo container, or even a weapons platform if the circumstances demand it." He said rather proudly

"Interesting...now how does it work!" The former emperor said impatiently

"Y'know, for someone whose so uninterested, you sure seem eager to hear about it?" The emperor mocked with a snicker.

"I'm not...I'm just interested in getting this meeting over with as soon as possible, I'm tired.....now get on with it!"

"Oh, yes! Right, sorry, uh...here it is!" He proceeded to pull out numerous long, blue sheets of paper from his massive carrier bag. He then plopped his papers across the table and shuffled through them. "Ah here we are, I've been working with some of the head engineers for this one and I believe we have a solid design here."

His grandfather began to shuffle through the mountain of papers piled onto the table in front of him and started looking through them with a face full of resentment.

"I don't see the point of all these gadgets, some of them don't seem necessary or affordable at all..." He said bluntly.

Meanwhile his father was more than content and enamored with what he saw before him.

"This is some great stuff here, I'm sure with any number of these machines we'd get the advantage over the course of the war!"

The emperors cheery rant was cut short by his son clearing his throat in an effort to gain his attention.

"Right, apologies. continue."

"Yes, the Caterpillar Tank is essentially an armored, freeroam train with interchangeable cars. While it is fairly slow, it more then makes up for that with it's heavy armor, and versatility. Now the key feature of this unit is its ability to traverse hilly and mountainous terrain, in principal it should be more than capable of crossing the Andes with little trouble!" He said proudly.

"So how does it work." His father said intently.

"The front and back are based loosely on a train engine, it uses the kind of rods you'd fine attached to multiple wheels which helped turn them simultaneously. In this case, it'll be turning tread wheels attached to the axis from the inside keeping it from being overly exposed. It uses lithium Ion batteries to power it so there's limited exhaust and has incredibly thick, frontally rounded armor plating to protect it during a head on assault or pass by. Now, the limited amount of armored cars only goes up to 3 at any given time, any more and it could throw the tank off balance or even keep it from moving altogether."

"So how the hell is it supposed to move with only four cars attached!?" His grandfather interrupted sharply. "How do you even know this'll work with all these weight limitations, it's just like those ridiculous airships you proposed a month back!"

"Well, uh...the powerful engines used by most Imperium trains was foreseen to be suitable for our needs, and paired with our lithium ion batteries it proves energy efficient meaning it can run a long time without need for a recharge. Did I forget to mention interchangeable cars?"

"No I've forgotten...regale me." He once again said rather sarcastically.

"Well, through the use of different armored car types it allows the caterpillar tank to suit a variety of different tasks, any task you can fit in a boxcar anyways. Its main purpose is to supply front lines and send troops across difficult terrain safely, while its armored cars can be used for a whole array of different things, this is the main point of its construction."

"Well this all sounds lovely but I really must be getting to bed..." As his grandfather slowly got up and made his way to the door, he stopped only for a moment to look back at his son and grand son before turning back around, grumbling to himself.

"Try not to worry about him." The emperor said. "He's just a grumpy old man who made a few bad turns as emperor...something I can only hope me and you never do. We'll rectify those mistakes with this war...if not, we're in the process of making another mistake as we speak."

"Ok, father...but, what'd you think of my designs?"

"They're great, this could be a huge opportunity for us! Leave your plans here so I can issue them for commissioning" He said with a smile.

"Yes, of course father"

As he walked out of the room with less blueprints than when he had first arrived, he and his father both thought to themselves: "Am I making the right choice...?"
