Neo-Manila, Tagalog Soviet Socialist Republic
People's Federation of Pan-Asiatic StatesThe situation room, a wide and decorative bunker filled with portraits of various Communist heroes and figures, was flooded by top-ranking military officials. At the center of the majestic congregation was the Secretary-General himself, the de jure Chairman Executive, speaking from a tall podium in front of the crowd. Surrounding the Federation's topmost military leader were the members of the Asian Military Command's High Council: First-Ranked Elected AMC Vice-Chairman Naval Großadmiral Qiu "Magdalena" Hanying; Second-Ranked Elected AMC Vice-Chairman Air Force 5-Star General Muto Sachio III and of course, the Commissary of Army Marshals Zhang Youxia.
Standing in attention to them were various military officials, coordinators, and rapporteurs. Almost half of the Military Command itself were present, a minority of the Federal Congress. Whoever was not present physically were on the line, listening from afar through virtual connections.
A gavel was banged. All who were present paid respect to the rolled-down flag of the Pan-Asiatic States, the Oriental Standard. The Secretary-General spoke through a skimpy microphone as two tall, middle-aged Asians in Naval officers' attire entered from the back of the room:
"Recognizing the presence of Kataas-taasang Almirante (Großadmiral) Winardi Yongliang and Datu Suou Kaori, Flotilla-Commander of the IPF (International Peacekeeping Fleet) 6th and Commander-in-Chief of Operation Red Thunder, respectively; hear, hear."
Those who were present, in chorus, echoed the Secretary-General's remark. The Pan-Asiatic States' involvement with the International Socialist Volunteer Corps had been coded Operation Red Thunder, or, as it was known to Filipino-speaking officials in Neo-Manila, Oplan Pulangkidlat. Number stations and various modes of encryption used this designation to refer to, broadly, anything that Datu Suou Kaori and her military saboteurs were up to in the corporatocratic Kingdom.
"Hear, hear."
Datu Kaori, a muscular, tan-skinned woman, took the Secretary-General's place at the podium, whilst Großadmiral Winardi shadowed his presence. As the Datu spoke, a representative hologram appeared behind him. A rapporteur took care of the visuals, and also handed the Datu her own transcript of the briefing.
"The situation of the People's Maritime Army's efforts to support our liberation of Jaragupta have not necessarily developed to the Fatherland's advantage," began the Datu. Her rather discomforted voice evoked feedback from the microphone. The room was filled with a deafening silence. Everyone looked eagerly at a map of the Wishton Sea and Jaragupta projected behind her.
"For months, the Honshu has served as the Nusantara Marine's headquarters on water. At the beginning of this expedition, we had anticipated that its movements would, sooner or later, be detected by the imperialists. We were correct in this assumption, and there is sufficient evidence to conclude that the Jaraguptan government has known about our presence, and our intentions, well throughout the conduction of this operation."
5-Star General Muto Sachio III, Second-Ranked Elected AMC Vice-Chairman, darted the Datu a discombobulated glance. The Datu seemed to take notice, and became more anxious in her presentation. He stood up from his seat, in violation of protocol, and rudely interrupted the presentation.
"You mean to tell us that you sent our boys in white alone and without oversight from the rest of the People's Maritime Army?", inquired the elderly military man. He himself was absent on a diplomatic mission to Venezuela when the decision to launch the Operation was first made. His general lack of contribution to the project in the first place made his remarks rather cynical. First-Ranked Elected AMC Vice-Chairman Naval Großadmiral Qiu "Magdalena" Hanying, a magnanimous superior and a Naval commander, gave the General a shaming look. She herself rose from her seat and interjected:
"It isn't uncommon practice, especially for the People's Maritime Army, to send-out one-unit espionage missions like this in support of the Special Forces."
A gavel struck behind them.
"Out of order, both of you.", reminded the Secretary-General, who, himself, secretly sided with the Air Force General on the matter. Regardless, even though she was not obliged to, the Datu engaged the General's point of information.
"It is true that the Jaraguptans posses a light Navy to challenge this threat, and in that sense, it somewhat endangers the lives of the men on the Honshu. However, we had expected at that time that the political lashback would cost the Kingdom too much to deal with such a crisis. The backward regime of the Kingdom relies on a governing structure that legitimizes itself by projecting strength and power. With dissent at an all time high, we figured that announcing the fact that a Pan-Asiatic carrier was swimming in the backyard of their Majesty would not at all be something the regime could profit off.", explained the Datu.
"However," continued she. "The Kingdom has assumed a mercantile strategy that puts the Honshu in danger once again. We believe that private contractors of an unknown nation of origin is on the hunt for the Honshu and her crew. That is why I have recommended an immediate mobilization of the People's Maritime Army's International Peacekeeping Fleet."
Kataas-taasang Almirante (Großadmiral) Winardi Yongliang took the limelight. The visuals transitioned into a display of several Qing-Class Battleships and Sapa-Class Submarines making their way towards the Wishton Sea at full speed. Admiral Winardi assumed the microphone:
"The Honshu is currently protected by a squadron from the 24th Fighter Echelon, of which, are two Euroasiatic T335/SH-2 Maritime Bombers capable of releasing off-radar depth charges. This will stall the enemy for a while, if they choose to engage, however, it will not sustain the Honshu.
I request the Asian Military Command to authorize the execution of the following directives."
A rapporteur began typing the Admiral's next words from a small laptop:
"The P.A.S Type BBK-086B Qing-Class Battleship Kim Il-Sung will be transferred from the 4th immediately. I have already spoken about the authorization of this manner with some members of this council, and I believe this to be a decent enough emergency to call for such measures. The Kim Il-Sung will be our flagship for this operation."
The P.A.S Kim Il-Sung was indeed one of the finest Naval units which the Pan-Asiatic States had manufactured. Equipped with Sakuradite-infused nuclear propulsion technology and ballistic missiles, it was one of the gems which gave the Pride of the Pacific its namesake. As one of the Federation's fastest Naval vehicles, it too, was a perfect fit for the operation.
"Trailing behind it, four Sapa-Class submarines and a small sortie of Destroyers. We expect travel time to take a little less than 11 hours.
Nevertheless, this gives the enemy a brief opportunity to strike at the Honshu. Their fate is in God's hands now."
After a few more concerns were raised over operational capability, and the mobilization of the force, the gavel was struck once more. Eventually, with cunning and a lack of options, the Datu and the Admiral would get their operation approved by an overwhelming majority of the AMC's top executives. Once the green-light had been given, the session was dismissed, and the people dispersed.
Help was on the way.

The company's worth of men were swiftly reduced in numbers during the initial charge, by the enemy right in front of them. Firing short bursts, prancing from cover to cover, ducking hails of bullets all with the intent of plunging a sharp bayonet into the abdomen of the Kafairian imperialists. Grenades were unleashed by both sides, and bodies were split in half. The cries of 30-year-olds resounded from beach-head to beach-head. The Pan-Asiatic soldiers did not expect to survive.
88. 86. 80.
Diminished numbers were the price of advancing. An Aspirant Second Class in black pajamas thrusts his blood-stained dagger into a Kafairian officer's heart, only for it to be met with a sword. The Pan-Asiatic soldier stumbles to the ground, and is swiftly beheaded. In his final moments he hears nothing, for the sound of gunfire has crippled his sense of hearing. His final thoughts are of his four brothers in Hanoi, and that of his father's, who would be proud to know he died with honor.
61. 60. 59. 58.
Thousands of Kafairian boots were now firmly planted on Skyhookedian sand. Total obliteration of the suicide-charging forces was now imminent, but every dead Asian meant three more dead Kafairians and five more minutes for the defenders behind them to prepare. Nearly half of the company was dead. The Datu signaled his men to take cover behind a row of sandbags, debris from one of the trenches blown-up by Kafairian naval bombardment. The smell of burned flesh could still be detected, and the limbless torsos of both Skyhookedian and Asian defenders were still rested on the walls of the trench interior. The contingent recuperated its losses. The men of the company reloaded their automatic rifles while two volunteers from a scout unit provided covering fire by machine-guns from clandestine bushes. When Kafairian spotters took them out, the Datu prepared to make another, final charge.
20. 19. 18. 17.
The heaviest of losses were inflicted, as the thousand-strong gunfire met the necks of the defenders. One of the Aspiarants of the contingent threw a smoke grenade to mask the attack, sowing confusion in the ranks of the Kafairians. The Datu had drawn his own jian on the Kafairian soldiers, readying himself to die with his men. But before that would happen, like the all-consuming storms on the shores of Hokuto, he would wipe-out the imperialists. Learned in the art of Filipino swordfighting, arnis, his Chinese shortsword repelled the onslaught of the Sultan's finest. He valiantly cut down the foe, taking-down two men in one swing. He charged forward alongside five of his men, assaulting the horde's pincers. The Datu disarmed one man by slicing-off his arm. The six of them pursued a retreating private, cutting him down as well.
However, the Kafairians were persistent, and when wave after wave began to compress unto the position of the Datu and his men, they knew it would only be a matter of time until their positions would be overrun. The Datu fired a flare, a signal which the II Corps interpreted as it was: that the sector had collapsed.
The graceful Datu heard the Kafairian battlecries resounding, harmonious to the trodding of a thousand boots sprinting forward. He threw another smoke grenade. He picked-up a flag of the Pan-Asiatic States which was once bestowed upon a banner-bearer who now lay dead on the cold, rocky sand. Waving it upwards until his final breath, he would not even hear the sound of the stray bullet which would cause his end. He died alongside his men, their duty fulfilled, with their eyes to the sky and their hearts beating evermore.

Admiral Kurt Sauz, C.O of the P.A.S Xencovia-Class Sierra Destroyer Raghav Singh, read several telegraphs scattered on his desk. Amongst battle-reports of ill-fated Pan-Asiatic divisions retreating South, it appears an attack on the infamous Gagiumish Monarchy had been made.
Suddenly, a siren rang, shooting up Admiral Sauz's ear like a bullet. He dropped the papers and rushed to Command Ops.
"What the fuck was that?"
"Sir, Eclisian and ships have just opened fire on our fleet. Two Corvettes are in dire condition, one of which has abandoned ship. The Aguinaldo has been sunk. Things are not looking well for us, sir."
"Humanitarian my ass. Turn 60 degrees Southwest and fire up preliminary canons. Telegraph all units, assume defensive formation Foxtrot."
Five Pan-Asiatic Submarines opened fire on the Eclisian fleet, whilst the P.A.S Xencovia-Class Sierra Destroyer Eugene Fluckey led a barrage to disarm and immobilize immediate threats to the Fleet.
Meanwhile, the P.A.S Independence-Class Navigator Submarine Annapolis brought a small company of twenty units from the 11th to infiltrate the Eclisian Flagship and plant a Fusion-Powered EMP to disable the Eclisian Navy's capacity and communication sphere.

The Infamous 14th "Alakdan" T-10 Armata Armor Company stormed Christiandom garrisons across the open battlefield. Lieutenant First-Class Emmanuel Luna-Miranda marched down the remains of a small settlement by the East Side of Oklahoma City.
"Word is that ground forces are taking heavy casualties from long-range strikes by Coalition Pigs. They're cowards, and our job is to shut them down."
"Affirmative! Urra!"
IV Corps diverted enemy resources by tightening its grasp unto the enclave of attacking coalition forces. Line Infantry Divisions engaged Gagiumish Special Forces from dense smoke barrages, laid down by the 3rd Squadron. The 31st "Crucible" Shock Division opened fire on Gagiumish supply lines leading North, attacking from the thick vegetation and by surprise. Off the horizon, it seemed to be raining chunks of the sky. Bombs dropped, massacring civilians, militiamen and soldiers alike. Thousands obliterated by South Fallsian bombs.
"H-Q! Requesting assistance-- *cough* We've lost contact with both the 6th and the 17th! We're overrun. Black Phalanx.. I repeat, Black Phalanx."
Command Ops was silent. The Lieutenant had just issued the most terrifying request one could give whilst serving in the Pan-Asiatic States Armed Forces.
Within the next ten minutes, a flurry of fire and devastation engulfed Oklahoma City's center. Eclisian, Aurumterrese, and Pan-Asiatic men were erased by Napalm Shells and Sakuradite Bombs launched from the Air and Sea.
The 11th "Suliko" Ranger Company dropped Airborne to the dust which remained of Oklahoma City, whilst the 10th Heavy Type-88 Bulk Armor Company pulverized through little to no resistance to rendezvous with occupational forces.
