María José Carvallo
Member of the Council of Admirals
An advocate for freedom, peace and prosperity with a military history and general weapons handling licence may seem an impossible combination, but the two lives of Councillor María José Carvallo find a balance in their opposition. Born in Garden City itself, María has firsthand seen how not only government works, but how the entire Alliance functions and how it effects the lives of all Allied citizens.
María began her career as an SDF Enforcer, working mainly planetside but also having several encounters with station duty, in which she participated in the apprehension of a minor smuggler. This has proven not only a sense of justice and respect for law, but also work ability. The bulk of her work now as a member of the COA is working with people, which has led her to volunteer across the Alliance. She was one of only a small detachment of 40 people who assisted the starving and diseased people of Amarath Colony during the Amarath Famine, which was later found to be largely due to infiltration from pro-Empire paid pirates, who were attempting to starve the colony into extinction.

Notable Criticisms
The Alliance Assembly is mainly concerned about Councillor María's ability to take on political and civil opponents. She has proven her diplomatic and political ability, though she has yet to demonstrate an ability to use power or influence to take on opposition that is within the right of the law.
Nikolai Ignatiy Vitalievich
Leader of the Trinity Secularism and Democracy Front
As the leader of the TSDF and political voice of the Trinity system, Nikolai shows promise of securing the democratic and humanitarian ideals of the Alliance of Independent Systems, as well as the ability to take on autocracies head-on. During his time in office, he has successfully accomplished the following:
-Abolishing the Theocratic government of the Trinity system and peacefully replacing it with a Democracy,
-Raising the Trinity system contribution the the Allied Fleet,
-Abolishing several laws in the Trinity system that restricted the rights and freedoms of many citizens,
-Aggressively shutting down his opposition.
He is also experienced in politics and has won a previous election in Trinity, gaining rapport with much of the Alliance, mainly in Corporate sectors. He is also seen as relatable and resourceful to many newly democratic systems like his own.

Notable Criticisms
"On TTI May 8th, 3432, President Nikolai Ignatiy Vitalievich was ordered to an arbitration hearing before the Alliance Assembly for two supposed accounts of violating the Bill of Human Rights, sent to us from the 'Holy Purity Front' faction bloc of the Trinity system. The Assembly found no substantial evidence to prove this accusation, however during the investigation the Assembly discovered President Nikolai was in fact a previous member of the political faction, 'The Orthodoxian Patriarchal Holy Front of Trinity.' This group, though used by Nikolai as evidence that he was not in fact violating any rights, has several alarming, anti-democratic views as well as many regressive and backwards ideals not seen since the European Dark Ages of Earth."

He's far too caught up with proving his opposition wrong. It's great for us, but if he lead the Alliance, I feel like his true potential would honestly be wasted."

Additionally to these, the Alliance Assembly fears that Nikolai may be unfit to lead due to his combative and arbitrary behaviors. He is known to be erratic and cruel, and has not proven capable of settling angered political factions-instead intimidating them into obedience, which could have an impact on the Alliance's stability and possibly its diplomatic reputation as well.
Sukoluhle Sithenjwa
Councillor on the Council of Admirals, Sword of Freedom founder
Believing his ideas not properly implemented through the limited authority of the Council of Admirals, Councillor Sukoluhle is running on a very straightforward campaign; War. Sukoluhle believes that the nations governing the Human worlds are not only corrupt, but allowing them to continue to exist and thrive is to allow parts of the corruption to infiltrate the Alliance and its ideals. He has an extensive military history and several cases of successfully intimidating entire system governments to reform under the threat of his personal fleet of white and green-painted military ships, forming a small and infamous vigilante liberation group known as the Sword of Freedom.
The Sword of Freedom has, as a group, been called before the Alliance Assembly under investigation of rights abuses of its own 13 times-the 5th most of any Alliance-based organisation. There are also rumors that the Sword of Freedom may be behind or at least a participant in many of the recent Liberation Raids on the Empire, in which militant groups band together and raid mainly orbital Slave Fortresses and steal the Imperial slaves away, bringing them mainly to Liberators in the Alliance. One of which a still photo has arisen, in which several ships of Allied design seem to have the iconic decals of the Sword of Freedom ships, though due to the photo's blurriness it is unclear.

In addition to these, the Alliance Assembly believes his long tract record with the Consortium could become a major issue in the future if he were elected. Additionally, his emphasis on starting a war with all 3 other galactic powers and long history of intimidating those he does not approve of into submission is undoubtedly worrying to both the Assembly and the Alliance as a whole.
Tamira el-Nawaz
CSO of Ytterby Research
By far a less common class of candidate, Tamira has based her campaign on a promise of a new age of discovery and science. She expresses little care for the rest of human space or the majority of politics, seeking to use a position with influence to fund the scientific sector, which she believes will positively effect all sectors of the government and the Alliance, across all fields. She also has a secondary focus of assisting the Allied interplanetary economy, which she states, ''could use some significant help."
She is the only candidate to get significant support from both the people and the governments of Allied systems.

Notable Criticisms
The Assembly fears that, though dedicated, intelligent, and hardworking, Tamira's apathy may hinder her as President. Additionally, she has not proven any previous experience with politics, another minor hinderance that could still be a large issue in the future if unchecked.
