Government under pressure to withdraw as eastern provinces assemble national guards.

Image
Members of the Aïn Djasser National Guard were the first to mobilise,
prompting similar responses from other eastern provinces.
Adunis, Adunis Province - The government has come under enormous internal pressure from residing its own ranks and opposition parties within the Grand Assembly to 'withdraw' military forces stationed in the eastern provinces of the country. The calls come following a tumultuous week: the Mazar Attacks, the death of a Zorasani General, the deterioration of negotiations between the Government of National Unity and Sheik Salah's supporters and a Zorasani missile strike against the Lions of the Homeland. Elements of the military were deployed in an effort to oversee the protests in the area, as well as defend from insurgencies from the Lions and Al-Isbah.

However, with the level of instability currently facing the country, as well as the renewed aggression between Adunis and Salah's supporters, tensions have been rising. The Province of Aïn Djasser confirmed this morning it had begun to organise and deploy its national guard, prompting similar responses from Juraynah, Hassani Abdelkrim, Aïn Yagout and Qadessiyya. A vote in Bedjene to follow suit was defeated, but there are reports portions of the guard with sympathies to Salah are rallying regardless. Much of the reasoning for their deployment comes after the death of Senator Shimshon Alon, an important senator in the Tsabaran Senate, who's death revealed him to be a member of the 'Lions of the Homeland.' Salah's followers have described this as a "culmination of [their] worst fears, terrorists in government."

Skirmishes between these national guards and government forces in the region, including minor excursions into military check-points and military bases, have been reported. Al-Isbah has claimed that numerous Badawiyan regiments have defected, with cooperative forces between Salah's forces, these ex-military units and the Awoken seizing military supplies from military bases across the provinces.

President Nazim al'Qutayni has confirmed that the government will take steps to 'de-escalate' the conflict by withdrawing military presence in certain areas, of which have yet to be disclosed. He said that "the nation is grieving and tensions are high, the people are angry and are looking for an enemy in their own military." He also urged the resumption of dialogue between the government and Salah, especially in the wake of the 'joint Zorasani/Tsabaran action' on the Lions. The calls come after the government reaffirmed its commitment to declaring the Lions as a terrorist organisation, declaring them joint 'enemies of the federation' alongside Al-Isbah.

Claims that the government has scrambled attack aircraft have been denied, but they did confirm that 'some vessels' of the navy had been sent to Bayadha in Trifaoui on the nation's southern coast.

Special Edition: Union vows revenge as Sheik Salah calls on Badawiyans to "rise up" in "resistance and defence"

Zahedan, Union Capital Territory- The indomitable armed forces of the Union have inflicted heavy losses on the extremist Lions of the Homeland with overnight drone and missile strikes. The Revolutionary Army struck several key targets, including a training camp and the home of its leading political figure. Zorasani intelligence is reporting that over 100 terrorists were killed.

In a decisive display of the Union’s national power, the Lions of the Homeland were struck last night by five drone strikes and missile attack. The operation was launched in revenge for the January 17 massacres, that saw 249 Irfanic Badawiyans killed and 344 injured, and for the attack that martyred five Zorasani officers, including General Amir Meyghani.

In the late hours of last night, the foreign ministry informed the Tsabaran government that Zorasan was striking the Lions “imminently” and that these strikes were not aimed at “the nation or peoples of Tsabara.” The same time, the Revolutionary Army Land Forces launched five Shahed-130 drones, armed with missiles into Tsabara. These drones then travelled north and dispersed toward their various targets.

The first targets destroyed were safe houses used by the terrorist organisation. Buildings were demolished in the eastern towns of Azaq ed Tamat and Zekad, leaving over 25 terrorists dead.

The next target was a safe house and weapons cache in the southern town of Al-Khasfar. The apartment building which had long been suspected of being a major hub of the terrorist group in the suburbs of Hitteen, was completely flattened. Up to 30 terrorists were killed in the strike.

Next came the hardest hit, with a Shahed-130 launching two of its missiles at the villa of Shimshon Alon. Both the military’s General Intelligence Directorate and the Ministry of State Intelligence and Security reported that Alon, despite being a sitting member of the Tsabaran senate, was in fact one of the most senior members of the Lions. MSIS and GID claim that Alon was the terrorist group’s principal political thinker, producing the racial and supremacist worldview that the Lions spread through violence. The Shahed-130 destroyed his home in the coastal town of Kfar Masaryk, killing him and his entire family.

Following the death of the political mastermind behind the Atudite extremist group, the military struck a large weapons store in the city of Zahana. The drone strike destroyed a vast collection of weapons and explosives, stolen from the Tsabaran federal army over the course of months since last year. The joint MSIS-GID report claimed that, “thousands of weapons and tons of ammunition, medical supplies and explosives were destroyed. Our intelligence led to the Land Forces setting the Atudite extremist scourge back months.”
Image
Thousands continue to march in mourning of General Amir Meyghani.

The final act of vengeance came with the deaths of over 80 terrorists, when the Land Forces launched two Emad-ye Kheshm land-attack cruise missiles. The missiles obliterated a large camp in rural Karmiel province, destroying supplies, ammunition and vehicles. The National Security Command Council (NSCC) which released all information on last night’s operation stated that further missile attacks were planned and readied but aborted over concerns it would upset the Tsabaran government.

The NSCC spokesman, Colonel Jamal Hussein, told reporters this morning, “we struck the enemy hard last night. We killed over 100 of them, including their political mastermind, the right-hand man of Elazar-Ben Yair, the terrorist warlord. While further missile strikes were planned against other targets, we did not wish to provoke further deteriorations in our relations and work with the Tsabaran government.”

So concerned was the government that Tsabara may have retaliated or impeded the operation, the Air Force had fuelled and armed several squadrons of fighters.

“Fortunately, our operation was a success and we struck the enemy hard. We avenged our five martyred comrades and avenged the 249. We proved to our enemies and rivals, we showed the world our might and capabilities. The Lions should know, that we know where they are and who they are. This is a war they will lose” he said further.

In an emergency address to the Popular Council, First Minister Farzad Akbari told MPs, “in retaliation for the barbarism of last week, and the martyrdom of five brave soldiers of the revolution, we struck back against the Atudite terror. We rose up from our grief and struck the enemy hard and swiftly, now it is they who grieve.”

The First Minister went on to say, “let all know, that this is not the last time that we shall strike the dreaded terror, we will do so again and again if the threat rises. We will not allow this terror to reign supreme in Coius and certainly not reign over the Irfanic world.”

The State President’s office confirmed that Tsabara’s interim premier, Aslan Ocalan would be visiting Zahedan in coming days. The office said, “the interim premier of Tsabara will be attending high-level discussions with the State President and First Minister to discuss the situation in Tsabara and the threat of Atudite extremism.”

TO KEEP THE PEACE, MAC SUIBHNE PURSUES THE SUPPORT OF TYRANTS
As a Tsabaran conflict appears more likely, the Taoiseach works to enlist Zorasan to prevent war
29 January 2020 | Rónán Ó Ceanndubháin

Image
Taoiseach Stiofán Mac Suibhne received Zorasani State President Vahid Isfandiari in Spálgleann for new talks this morning.

GROWING crisis in Tsabara has presented the international community with challenges for over a year. What started with highly sectarian political and judicial reforms has spiraled into tit-for-tat terrorist exchanges between radical religious groups. To make things worse, the world’s third-largest producer of oil is wedged between Zorasan and Euclean powers keen to prevent the former’s influence from increasing even further. The Union of Zorasani Irfanic Republics is at the center of sectarian strife in Tsabara, and it shows little signs of backing away. In an attempt to ensure it does, Stiofán Mac Suibhne has enlisted the support of the military regime that governs Zorasan. Or at least, so he has tried.

The taoiseach has attempted to mediate the crisis, preventing it from spiraling out of control. It was an admirable attempt after hundreds of civilians were killed or injured in a series of terrorist attacks that rocked Tsabara’s largest city and shocked the world. Talks between the acting Tsabaran government, billed by its supporters as a unity government, and hardline political Irfanists were held last month. There was some optimism for the talks despite the mammoth of a gap that Caldish mediators needed to bridge. The acting government was brought to power following a coup that ousted political Irfanists, exasperating religious tensions further. There was little chance that the Irfanists would find accord with the unity government, but Zorasani pressure on Tsabara’s leading cleric, Sheik Faizan Salah, raised hopes.

Talks only came about because of pressure on Salah applied by his backers in Zorasan’s military government. The devastation and carnage of the Yeruham Attacks, at the time the worst in Tsabara’s history, showed Zahedan its backing of religious radicals was not without consequence. The talks depended on international pressure on Zorasan, which in turn resulted in Zorasani pressure on the powerful cleric. On the sidelines of the Intra-Tsabaran peace talks, Mac Suibhne personally led discussions with Zorasani officials. The nature of these parallel talks were withheld from the public, but sources familiar with them have indicated they centered on ways to de-escalate tensions between Zorasan and Euclean powers, chiefly Estmere.

Retaliatory attacks on Irfanic sites or worship brought the end of the peace talks. Even more deadly than the attacks on Yeruham, the 17 January attacks on Tsabara’s Irfanic population doomed the efforts of Caldish diplomats to bring the feuding factions to agreement. The assassination of a senior Zorasani general and several officers also ended Zorasan’s willingness to continue talks with Mac Suibhne himself.

Without a dialogue, the situation in Tsabara has only continued to deteriorate. Reports in the Tsabaran press have alarmed diplomats, as Irfanic-majority states begin to mobilize their militias. The nation is on the brink of civil war, a civil war that has been fueled by Zorasani meddling.

Yet, the cornerstone of the taoiseach’s peace plan for Tsabara was Zorasan. It is no surprise that these efforts have failed when the nation behind so much of Tsabara’s chaos was not just invited to participate, but essential to getting intra-Tsabaran talks started. Cooperation with Zorasan has won Mac Suibhne praise from their officials, painting him as the paragon of Euclean statesmanship in contrast with the hawkish Reginald Wilton-Smyth, Estmere’s prime minister.

Caldish diplomats pushed to restart talks with Zorasan. Their public calls were met with Zorasani intervention against an Atudite terrorist group in Tsabara. To secure revenge for its fervent masses, the Zorasani military launched a series of strikes against the Lions of the Homeland. A part of their effort was assassinating a sitting member of the Tsabaran parliament. This foreign intervention has pushed Tsabara even closer to civil war. Instead of condemnation, Zorasan was rewarded with a photo-op. Vahid Isfandiar, the Zorasani State President, arrived in Spálgleann late last night for renewed talks with Mac Suibhne to try and avoid all out war in Tsabara. This comes after Zorasani state media reported one of its senior leaders would visit Mac Suihbne to restart their dialogue. They sent Vahid Isfandiar for the second time. These talks are destined to have the same fate as the first, as Zorasan has shown little interest in respecting Tsabara’s sovereignty or avoiding actions that fuel sectarian tensions.

Mac Suibhne’s peace plan comes with a high cost. His government is prevented from criticizing Zorasan for fear of wounding their fragile self-image of tyrants. While the Caldish government has offered soft criticism of Zorasan in the wake of allegations it is pursuing a nuclear warhead and the Zorasani strikes in Tsabara over the weekend, it has been muted. The support of these tyrants is all too central to his plan. It appears Mac Suibhne has opted to appease and embrace them in the interests of peace, as opposed to standing up for our principles.

Human rights in Zorasan are a major issue that has gone unaddressed. Zorasan’s nuclear program is a major issue that has gone unaddressed. Zorasani political military intervention in Tsabara is a major issue that has gone unaddressed. This pattern is deeply troubling. Peace is important, but the terms of peace must not hand the despots and military regimes of our world exactly what they want.

AFTER CRUCIAL MEETING, EC CHANGES TUNE ON TSABARA WITH LIMITED BACKING FOR THE al'QUTAYNI GOVERNMENT

Image
Weranian and Gaullican foreign ministers Käthe Schickdanze (L) and Sylviane Lambert (R) at a joint press conference.
Kesselbourg, Kesselbourg - The Euclean Community has taken steps towards establishing its official position in relation to Tsabara's ongoing political crisis, with a meeting of foreign ministers resulting in backing for the acting national government. President Alexis Walker summoned EC foreign ministers to Kesselbourg to discuss the situation in Tsabara, which has thus far seen the EC divided. The collapse of Caldish-sponsored peace talks two weeks ago has helped bring the EC to accord as the Tsabaran government faces active threats from religious extremist groups.

Compared to Walker's efforts to reach consensus at the beginning of the new year, talks between foreign ministers this weeks brought a fresh understanding between national governments. The previously agreed-wait-and-see approach to Caldish peace talks has now seen movement from some of the bloc's smaller members, skeptical that EC involvement in the long-standing political crisis would be beneficial. Yet as civil war appears to be a growing possibility, nations such as Azmara and Caldia have backed a Gauillcan proposal to declare official support for the acting government of President Nazim al'Qutayni and provide humanitarian aid.

It will pass through the Euclean bureaucracy this week, requiring the support of the Euclean Council and the Euclean Parliament before it becomes official bloc policy. President Walker said the agreement was a "significant development" and would continue to lead efforts to "maintain stability, prevent sectarian conflict, and avoid humanitarian disaster" in Tsabara.

An effort by the Estmerish government to provide material and logistical aid to the Tsabaran government and its military was defeated. While some states were skeptical of further intervention, Werania opposed the measure due to Tsabara's relationship with the International Forum for Developing States. At a press conference with her Gaullican counterpart, the Weranian foreign minister Käthe Schickdanze hinted her government was weary of pursing such ties with a nation in an economic-bloc dominated by Xiaodong and Zorasan.

"The current arrangement does not suit our interests" she said. However, she did state that there was some flexibility should Tsabara move away from Xiaodong and Zorasan.

At the same press conference, the Gaullican foreign minister stated that it was of "paramount importance that the Euclean Community conducts [support for Tsabara] is an organised and united fashion. An instance such as this is the cornerstone of the reason why we have taken great lengths to implement a ‘Common Foreign and Security Policy.’”

“The EC should support and strengthen the al'Qutayni government through humanitarian aid and the assistance in setting up camps for displaced peoples" Sylviane Lambert, who has overseen the Gaullican government's response to Tsabara, told the press. At last month's emergency meeting of the Euclean Convention, Gaullica indicated it would support further efforts in Tsabara if Caldish peace talks failed to bring about a solution. The Tsabaran Crisis poses a threat to the ruling Purple-Green coalition in Gaullica, where the anti-interventionist Greens differ from the Social Democrats on the issue.

The Estmerish foreign minister, Stephen Mendenhall, said the developments were "significant" and showed the EC was "serious about protecting religious freedom" in Tsabara. Estmere has been involved in a series of spats with Zorasan since the summer and tensions between the two have escalated. The EC has largely been able to remain out of the conflict, but a series of major terrorist attacks in Tsabara and revelations regarding Zorasani attempts to develop a nuclear capacity have resulted in a shift in policy.

Member governments remain largely supportive of international efforts at the Community of Nations to try and avert all-out crisis in Tsabara. However, the slow response of the CN's Security Committee has not only seen the crisis worsen but the desire in Euclean capitals for the bloc to act increase.

"Decimation" - Government forces expelled from Beit Shajaf as crisis escalates

Image
Government troops came under intense coordinated attack in Beit Shajaf.
Adunis, Adunis Province - TPressure on the government to withdraw federal forces from the eastern provinces has reached fever pitch over the past week, with the complete “decimation” of federal forces in the eastern city of Beit Shajaf being confirmed by the Ministry of Defence this morning. The pressure mounted as the government was forced to concede that over the past 19 days, over 560 soldiers have been killed. While today, Sheik Faizan Salah formally established the so-called Supreme Political and Resistance Committee to organise the “resistance and liberation of Badawiyans in Tsabara.”

News that federal forces have been routed and “decimated” in Beit Shajaf has led to widespread calls from various circles, including the Party for Irfanic Democracy and the Atudite People’s Party, to withdraw all government forces east of Bedjene Province.

According to a detailed government statement, Federal Armed Forces (FAF) units were attacked across the eastern city simultaneously, by heavy gunfire, rocket propelled grenades and armoured vehicles. Sources inside the MoD reported before the statement, that FAF units had come under intense attack by both armed militia and units of Ain Djasser’s Provincial Guards.

On FAF unit was destroyed when its patrol was ambushed in the densely built Sheik Khan quarter of the city. At least 20 soldiers were killed in this instance. As the FAF began to withdraw its forces out of the hostile provincial capital, the attacks intensified. The MoD statement also explained that 18 soldiers were killed when their retreating column was struck by a suicide truck bomb.

The MoD stated that routes of evacuation out of the city centre were covered by hostile forces, forcing the FAF to conduct a fighting withdrawal. The MoD also stated that the hostiles were using well versed urban-guerrilla tactics against the mechanised forces of the FAF. The FAF also came under attack through the use of guided anti-tank missiles and improvised-explosive devices.

A FAF AH-10 helicopter gunship sent to assist the beleaguered forces was shot down by shoulder launched surface-to-air missiles. The two crew members were killed in the crash according to the MoD statement.

So sustained was the attack on FAF units inside Beit Shajaf, that the FAF deployed aircraft to bomb buildings used by hostile forces. The MoD reported that the air force conducted 22 sorties against the city, before being forced to pull aircraft back after two Gaullican built M.2000 aircraft was damaged by surface-to-air missiles.

After ten hours, the FAF had completely withdrawn from Ain Djasser’s provincial capital. Even in the rural suburbs, its units came under repeated hit-and-run attacks by armed militias. A retreating column lost two tanks to anti-tank missiles and 30 soldiers were killed or injured when their convoy was attacked by a Provincial Guard tank unit.

The MoD’s report stated that during today’s fighting in Beit Shajaf, 174 soldiers were killed and a further 250 were injured. The MoD’s report also detailed that the hostile forces were collection of armed militias, supported directly by the Ain Djasser Provincial Guard. The report also described that the ADPG had deployed short-range and medium-range surface-to-air missile systems, such systems reported to have been lost when the Ain Tahrir air defence base was captured by armed militants two days ago.

Within hours of the government withdrawal, social media and local source reports indicated that many of the armed militias who attacked the FAF, began massacring Atudite citizens of the city. Beit Shajaf also serves as a hub for oil workers and engineers for the nearby Khalifa oil field. Social media accounts shared images and videos and masked men entering the homes of Atudite workers and seemingly shooting. These reports have yet to be verified.

Elsewhere in the East, FAF units came under sustained attack in the provinces of Hassani Abdelkrim, Juraynah, Qadessiya, Trifaoui and the southwestern parts of Bedjene provinces. However, the MoD report did not claim any of these attacks included units from Provincial Guards.

The small helicopter base of the 2nd Air Cavalry Brigade near Sadjahad in Qadessiya province was attacked by over 200 armed militants. 4 helicopters were destroyed, and 6 government personnel were killed in the attack, but the garrison confirmed that over 60 attackers were killed.

39 soldiers were killed overall in separate incidents in the restive provinces, most of which involved gun or grenade attacks on checkpoints and hit-and-run attacks on FAF patrols. At least 150 hostiles were also killed in the east according to the MoD report.

In a statement to reporters, senior FAF general, Moshe Dayan said, “it is now without question that the federal government and its security forces are facing a full-blown armed insurrection in the east. The events of the past two days have paid proof to this fact.”

When asked if Beit Shajaf was lost to militants, General Dayan confirmed that was the case, “it is with deep regret that it must be confirmed, that Beit Shajaf is no longer under government control. Beit Shajaf currently does not stand alone, there are expanding areas in the east that are outside government control.”

Gen. Dayan repeated the MoD’s report that Provincial Guards were fighting alongside or indirectly supported armed militia.

“Since January 20th, we have seen numerous incidents involving Provincial Guard units across several eastern provinces, both directly and indirectly. If these incidents continue, the FAF will be forced to designate all Provincial Guard units in every restive province as possible hostiles” he said.

The general refused to answer questions on the matter of desertions and defections by Badawiyan units of the FAF. When asked repeated by a Yeruham Times reporter whether the FAF had seen over 25,000 active and reservist troops defect, he refused to answer, saying, “the situation regarding these matters are under investigation.”

The Yeruham Times published an article yesterday, detailing that since the Mazar attacks on January 17th, up between 25,000 to 35,000 active and reserve troops had defected to numerous militias in the east. The same article described unconfirmed reports that several high-ranking officers had defected, including Major General Zahran al-Amari, the head of the Tsabaran Eastern Command zone. If confirmed, Al-Amari would be the highest-ranking figure to defect.

In keeping with the escalating conflict, Sheik Faizan Salah has formally coalesced leaders and movements opposing the federal government in the east, into the Supreme Political and Resistance Committee.

In a video posted online, the Sheik was seen greeting several eastern provincial governors, numerous provincial-level law makers and uniformed men. In the video he said, “by uniting and forming ourselves into a competent and revolutionary group, we can unite the East and mobilise it against the Atudite extremist and their protectors in Adunis. We can together, reclaim the tomb of the Prophet and build a new Tsabara that works in the name of justice, equality and order.”

A government spokesman denounced the Sheik’s latest move as “further burying the chance for a peaceful solution to this crisis.”

Government organises 'tactical withdrawal' from much of the east, military confirms.

Image
Acting President Nazim al'Qutayni met with FAF leaders at a command centre in western Bedjene.
Adunis, Adunis Province - With government forces withdrawing from the areas around Beit Shajaf after immense resistance in the area, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed that the plans for a "tactical withdrawal" have been put into place. For over twenty days have Federal Forces fought against insurgents, with the Ministry confirming that over 1,500 have died. However, with mounting pressure and aggression, the original forces that have been facing defections and mutinies has been stretched thing.

A bipartisan call within the coalition government, largely echoed by the members of the Party for Irfanic Democracy and Atudite People's Party. One unnamed minister said that "the country is teetering towards civil war, we cannot occupy these territories -- not until we have the strength and organisation to actively plan."

Another said, in reference to the 'dire times', that the government had a duty to "bring the troops to safety."

Acting-President Nazim al'Qutayni set out to meet with generals at a base in western Bedjene, where they spent a large portion of the weekend. Whilst the Federalist is not privy to the in-depth discussions that took place, it was confirmed that the government would be withdrawing from provinces "east of Aïn Djasser." This would result in government forces withdrawing from Aïn Djasser, Juraynah, Hassani Abdelkrim and Qadessiyya. These four provinces were directly attacked during the 'Mazan Attacks' earlier last month and thus the resentment and insurrection there against a government they view as complacent has been ongoing.

Many have speculated that this is a dangerous move, particularly leaving the hotly contested 'Devil's Teeth' between Tsabara and the UZIR unguarded. However, the President has confirmed that the result was what was "in the interests of the Tsabaran state, its people and its soldiers."

Already however the MoD has began mobilising the national guards of the 'loyal provinces', particularly those on the western coast. Aryeh Kahlon, who's APP is an integral part of the Government of National Unity, has also called upon the national guards of his 'base of loyalty', south western Tsabara, to rally behind the federal government. Tensions between the Atudites and the Federal government have also been quite high, especially since after the Yeruham attacks, but Kahlon's support is integral in the functionality of the government.

In the south and north of the country, ethnic demonstrations in both territory administered by the government and that which is currently occupied by Sheik Salah have brought concerns on both sides. The Öroqic majority of Trifaoui have branded both the government and the insurrectionists as illegitimate and rallies have begun to be held across its urban centres, such as Bayadha, calling for secession. Similar calls amongst the Suhalan community in the north have not had much traction, largely attributed to the lower concentration of their people.

The increase in tensions have been attributed to 'conspiracies from Zahedan' by the government, especially as their relationship deteriorates. Aslan Ocalan, the acting-Premier, visited Zahedan at the beginning of this month and despite high hopes for a united front the meeting was left without as much as a spoken agreement. It is expected that Adunis will cease its pivot towards the south and has instead opened its relationships with the Euclean Community. This breaks a policy set in virtual stone by al'Qutayni's predecessor, who regarded Euclea as a whole an enemy of Coian progress.

Yet with Tsabara's leaving of ROSPO and condemning the IFDS as 'Zorasani imperialism', it seems to signal the end of Tsabaran-Zorasani allegiance. The President commented that the killing of a 'senator', regardless of his affiliations, on Tsabaran soil was 'inexcusable.'

TSWI calls for 'general strike' across Tsabara as east-and-west prepare for conflict.
Image Image Image Image

TSWI's new elected leader, Qadir Jabbar, demands for the 'people to halt the madness' by way of a general strike.
Dorota Witschas | 9 February 2020

Image
Qadir Jabbar, head of the Tsabaran Section of the Workers' International,
also known as the 'Popular Front'

Lazrou, Aïn Yagout Province — The Tsabaran Section of the Workers' International ruled Tsabara from 1948, seizing power against the Estmerish owned minority-ruled state, until 1989 where the repercussions of Zorasani invasion of Irvadistan collapsed the state and paved the way for the 'Transtsabaran Federation.'

The TSWI, also known as the 'Popular Front', has been relegated to a position of opposition since 1989. Whilst originally the largest party in opposition against numerous unity governments, its position of power steadily declined under successive leaders unable to capitulate on the historic successes it achieved -- nor fight against the reforms of its policies of state atheism and the formation of the 'Tsabaran identity.'

At the beginning of the year the TSWI underwent a rapid electoral process based on the deteriorating situation within Tsabara. Running unopposed Qadir Jabbar, a dentist turned to union-boss has championed the rebirth of the TSWI under a "pan-Tsabaran movement" focused on "social and economic justice". He was a strong critique of the Tughluq and Aboud governments, whilst reserving criticism for al'Qutayni. However, today, following the confirmation of the 'withdrawal from the east', Jabbar has called for "something to be done" from one of the few -- openly -- remaining strongholds of the TSWI, the city of Lazrou.

To a sizeable crowd that the TSWI claims to be within the high tens of thousands, Jabbar delivered what is being called by some as the 'defining moment of the rebirth of the Tsabaran left-wing.'

"Before us the situation in our country falls to pieces. An unelected government in Adunis imposes martial law across the nation and across the east, Zorasani-backed religious fundamentalists indiscriminately rape, torture and kill the populace of anyone who does not look like them. Yet whilst we should fear and weep for the innocents killed, we have to remember that these people undergoing these killings were once like you and I. People like you and I, the working poor, have been ignored by the political elite since the fall of 'Communist Tsabara' in 1989. The policies that aimed to alleviate poverty and foster a united peoples, the Tsabaran people, reversed in the name of respecting religious traditions and divides that have done nothing but fragment sectarianism and terrorism across our nation."

"Yet now these opiates of the masses collide on a path to bring about the death of a Federation once formed on principles of equality of the sexes, of the races, of the people. Because when religion is given to a radical it becomes a weapon of the class system to divide the people into 'us' and 'them'. Whilst the government of national unity has aimed to rectify this problem, it is too little too late. Our Federation is bursting at the seams, no matter what Adunis, Salah or the Federalist tells us."

"We should be sad for the failing of the Tsabaran project, the dreams of socialists and thinkers and fighters for justice long before many of us were born. But we must also notice that this dissatisfaction brings about with it a hope for real, palpable change. The religious fundamentalists are willing to fight to institute a regime that they believe to be right, so we shall do the same with a system that we know to be right. To be fair. To be just. To be free and equal. We are at the precipice of the beginning of a Second Red September, a Second Tsabaran Revolution! We call for a strike, to bring about the warmongers to their knees!"

AS ZORASANI INFLUENCE SPREADS, ASHCOMBE LOOKS FOR WAYS TO COUNTER

Image
Treasury Secretary Geraint d'Auvergne also attended talks with Tsabaran President Nazim al'Qutayni
MONTECARA - The Estmerish government has taken new steps to counter Zorasan’s growing influence in Badawiya and Bahia. Following a meeting between prime minister Reginald Wilton-Smyth and Nazim al'Qutayni, the acting Tsabaran president, the Estmerish government has announced its growing ties to the Badawiyan nation.

The two leaders met for over an hour in Montecara this weekend, discussing the worsening situation in Tsabara. The meeting comes at a time when the interim national government is facing growing dissent among its states. Following clashes with rebel groups and defecting soldiers, the Tsabaran government has ordered a tactical withdrawal from its Irfanic-majority eastern provinces.

In their meeting, it is understood that Wilton-Smyth raised growing concerns about the stability of al’Qutayni’s government. The prime minister declared his personal support for the acting president, calling him Tsabara’s “last hope” to save its democratic institutions.

He is also understood to have brought up growing sectarianism, warning al’Qutayni of the threats Zorasan poses to religious freedom.

The two leaders held a brief press conference after their meeting where they pledged to continue dialogue.

“This is an important moment for the future of [Tsabara]” al’Qutayni said of their meeting before thanking Wilton-Smyth for backing Tsabara within the Euclean Community.

“We are appreciate of Estmerish support for our efforts to uphold our democracy”.

Last week, the Euclean Community announced its diplomatic backing for al’Qutayni’s unity government. It has faced increasing challenges in the face of sectarian strife and violence, with a series of deadly terrorist attacks rocking the nation.

The EC will provide al’Qutayni’s government with diplomatic support and humanitarian aid, but the prime minister indicated Estmere will go further.

“[The Estmerish government] will ensure that Tsabara has the ability to uphold its sovereignty and defend religious freedom in the face of the Zorasani dictatorship. Their clerics and generals will not be able to push Adunis aside” the prime minister told reporters.

“We will be reviewing different forms of material aid in the coming days”.

Following the Tsabaran government’s decision to distance itself from Zorasan and its allies, Estmere has stepped up in their place. Tsabara has taken steps to withdraw from ROSPO and the International Forum for Developing States, two organizations in which Zorasan has significant influence.
Sources within the government indicate it is likely that an agreement will be signed between Estmere and Tsabara to provide different forms of material aid to the national government, including arms shipments. Estmerish officers may also be sent to Tsabara and embedded within military units. Some may also assist the Tsabaran government in training new recruits.

Separately, the Foreign Secretariat has also announced it will be ending all developmental aid currently distributed to the Tusanian government. The move comes in response to an agreement signed between Tusania and Zorasan that will allow the latter to maintain its first overseas military base. It gives Zorasan a permanent presence beyond the Aurean Straits and on the Vehemens Ocean.

Estmere currently provides over €50 million in developmental aid to the Tusaniian government, all of which will be immediately suspended. Foreign Secretary Stephen Mendenhall hinted the bulk of the money is likely to be transferred to Garambura.

The foreign secretary praised the Garamburan government for denouncing Zorasan’s new presence in Bahia, saying Garamburan president was a “powerful advocate for democracy in Bahia”.

Zorasan’s new military base has brought renewed tensions to what has proven to be one of the world’s most volatile regions. In response to the Tusanian-Zorasani agreement, Chervolesia announced it had reached its own agreement with the government of Djedet to establish its own base in the region.

Increased militarization in Bahia poses a threat to the region’s stability, something that has increased since the Tusanian Civil War mostly came to an end in 2009. Renewed tensions in Bahia between ROSPO and other alliances could have disastrous repercussions for the region and beyond.

The decision to suspend aid to Tusania has not come without criticism. On Twitter, the nation’s foreign minister, Shirye Muxudiin, voiced frustrations with the Estmerish position, saying it was acting in its right as a “sovereign, independent” state.

He also denounced criticism from nations in Bahia, accusing them of abandoning their anti-imperialist credentials.

The Tusanian government has yet to comment on the suspension of developmental aid, with a spokesman for the nation’s embassy in Ashcombe declining to offer a statement when contacted by the Herald.

However, the decision has garnered domestic criticism. Democratic Labour Party leader Robert Spencers called the move “callous” and against Estmere’s own interests, arguing it did little but push Tusania closer to Zorasan.
“We can already see Zorasan promising Tusania a sizable aid package of its own, the threat of suspension was enough to create an opening for Zorasani influence to grow further” Roberts said this afternoon.

He was rebuked by the treasury secretary, Geraint d'Auvergne, who argued it was up to the government’s discretion, saying it was “within reason”.

“This decision is no one to make but the government’s, who is allowed to determine where the money of our hard-working citizens is going. Today, we stood up in defense of Estmerish values and religious freedom” d’Auvergne said in response to Robert’s criticism.

The treasury secretary also seemingly questioned the opposition leader’s loyalties, stating that it was “rather odd” Roberts took issue with the government’s decision.

“One would think [Roberts] would not want taxpayer money going to governments that enable state-sponsored terrorism, and it makes you think whose interests he is looking out for”.

A spokeswoman for the DLP leader said d’Auvergne’s comments were “outrageous” and demanded an apology, but one has not come.

AS CN SANCTIONS LOOM, CZENKO ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR NAZIM AL'QUTAYNI IN TSABARA

Image
Al'Qutayni is seen meeting with Narozalic FM Myroslav Ivanchenko in Samistopol on Saturday

Written by Olesya Stalmakh
16 February, 2020

As sanctions imposed by the Community of Nations' Security Council on Zorasan seem to edge nearer, one of its permanent members in Narozalica has explicitly come out in support of interim President Nazim al'Qutayni.

In a speech delivered to the Vojnaskul last Friday, President Samuel Czenko announced that Narozalica would be politically supporting the co-social state initiative of interim Tsabaran President Nazim al'Qutayni against what he referred to as a "blatant disregardal" of Tsabara's "independence" by the Union of Zorasani Irfanic Republics. Czenko condemned Zorasan's "complete mishandling" of the situation ahead of a series of missile attacks and sponsored killings across Tsabara linked to the Zorasani government.

Czenko also announced that Narozalica would be backing and supporting Estmerish calls for severe sanctions on Zorasan over the affair, and has called in particular for sanctions on Zorasani oil, which was, as he referred to it, the "beating heart of the Zorasani regime".

The President also continued in supporting increased sanctions for ROSPO members, Ajahadya and Xiaodong, over the affair, accusing them of propagating Zorasan's actions in Badawiya.

It is likely that any sanctions imposed by the Community of Nations' Security Council will pass through its permanent members, all of which have veto power that often renders it incapable of passing any legislation. The milestone passing of Security Council Resolution 936 on February 1st laid the framework for later sanction impositions by the Security Council, accusing Zorasan of continuing to disobey Article 10 of the Resolution, which states:

"Calls upon all nations and other parties to refrain from intervention in Tsabara without the express consent of the Tsabaran government or the authorization of the Security Council,"

Czenko made it clear that Narozalica would be supporting the cosocial state as a means to "protect the interests of all groups in the region, particularly our Sotirian brethren". He also stated that a lack of action by the Security Council in Tsabara would affect the livelihoods of many other nations through its domino effect, particularly nations who receive oil through the Adunis-Mambiza railway that connects Tsabara to Bahia.

If the sanctions are to pass, it is expected to be announced by the CNSC in the coming weeks.

AS STABILITY IN TSABARA DETERIORATES, THE EC AND ETRURIA LOOK TO MEND TIES

Image
EC President Walker has overseen the bloc's rocky relationship with Etruria since 2017.
Kesselbourg, Kesselbourg - After years of an increasingly tense relationship, the Euclean Community and Etruria appear to be looking to restore their once close relationship. The failed 2016 Etrurian referendum on membership in the bloc and subsequent rise of the Tribune Movement soured ties between Euclean capitals and Poveglia. Subsequent diplomatic spats over judicial reform, denial of war crimes, and the Pietramontecorvino Incident brought relations to an all time low in 2018. Slowly, EC officials and their Etrurian counterparts have worked to bridge the widening gap.

Now, both Kesselbourg and Poveglia appear to be keen to further cooperation and overcome the remaining obstacles that complicate closer ties. A more assertive Zorasan has alarmed the Etrurian government just as it has throughout the EC. Tensions in the Solarian Sea have escalated since a political crisis first began to grip the Tsabaran government last year. As the situation worsened and stability was gradually eroded, Etruria and the EC began a slow process of rapprochement. Sanctions placed by the EC on senior Etrurian officials were quietly dropped while retaliatory sanctions put in place by Etruria were voided. Criticism of the Tribunes from the Euclean Commission and national governments became less and less frequent. For his part, Etruria president Francesco Carcaterra blunted his rhetoric and that of senior voices in the party when it came to the EC and its interests.

Aggressive policy moves made by Zahedan went against the interests of both the EC and Etruria. Differences have gradually been put aside as the two nations have looked to counter Zorasani influence in the Solarian. Of pressing concern was Zorasan's acquisition of its first overseas military installation in Tusania. Euclean capitals are uneasy about the influence Zorasan's powerful military government will wield in Bahia and are alarmed by its ability to project power beyond the Aurean Straits.

The restoration of trust between Kesselbourg and Poveglia is not a new process. In the wake of the Caldish diplomatic bag scandal and its aftermath, the two have quietly worked to patch up ties. Etruria joined Gaullica, Estmere, and Werania in naval exercises held this summer. The exercises demonstrated the immense progress made in repairing the strained relationship between the EC and Etruria.

Carcaterra's has also strongly backed Estmere in its efforts to combat Zorasani influence. After the killing of Assad Erekat in July, Etruria voted to condemn Zorasan at the Community of Nations and opposed Zorsani attempts to bring a retaliatory resolution against Etruria. Estmerish prime minister Reginald Wilton-Smyth has made it known he wants to bring Etruria back into the Euclean fold. The victory of the National Consolidation Party in Werania last year has also helped Etruria find its place among the EC member states.

On Saturday, Carcaterra said that “the situation in Tsabara is one that can upend the entire security situation in and around the Solarian Sea. By cooperating, Etruria and the Euclean Community can guarantee and safeguard our continent’s safety and prosperity”.

His remarks have fueled suspicions that the EC and Etruria are looking to close security gaps in Southeastern Euclea and along the Solarian Sea. There have been some reports regarding the prospect of Etrurian membership in the Euclean Defense Treaty Organization. However, both EC and Etrurian officials have refused to comment on the prospect.

One main obstacle remains to this level of deepened cooperation. This weekend, EC President Alexis Walker indicated that further cooperation between her bloc and Etruria would be hindered by Etruria's territorial disputes with Priaea. The contested region of Tarpeia has proved to be a consistent problem for Euclean diplomats and was a major roadblock for Etruria and Piraea's 2016 bids to join the EC. With the prospect of Etrurian membership in the bloc as unlikely now as it ever has been, Walker has taken a new approach to trying to solve the Tarpeian issue.

At a press event this weekend, Walker told reporters that "[Tarpeia] is the obstacle we must overcome". She also urged Poveglia to work with Alikianos to resolve the issue.

"Diplomacy can bring about a lasting solution if both sides are willing to negotiate in good faith" the EC president said. The EC was also ready and willing to facilitate talks according to Walker.

Another seemingly unlikely ally in the Euclean battle against Zorasan's growing influence is Narozalica. The Narozalic government has joined the EC in backing Tsabara's interim president, Nazim al'Qutayni. Support for sanctions against Zorasan for a series of missile strikes on targets in Tsabara was also indicated by Narozalic president Samuel Czenko. Rumors have indicated that Estmerish diplomats are preparing sanctions against Zorasan for violating a Community of Nations Security Committee Resolution passed just over two weeks ago. CoNSCR 936 backed the Tsabaran government and called for nations to stay out of the country unless explicitly invited.

Narozalica appears primed to join the EC and Etruria in combating Zorasani aggression in the Solarian Sea and Swetanian diplomats have also indicated that their government may do the same. A diplomatic coalition of the continent's main powers seems to be coming together.

The Etrurian president stated that the EC and Etruria would "fight to defend white Euclea”. Walker and other EC officials have not gone as far, but it is evident that Kesselbourg remains eager to include Etruria in its response to the Tsabaran Crisis.

Estemere sends airforce, pilots, to help government 'contain international threats.'

Image
Acting President Nazim al'Qutayni met with FAF leaders at a command centre in western Bedjene.
Adunis, Adunis Province - As the world truly begins to understand and react the embroiled crisis the Federation of Tsabara finds itself in, Adunis has found a champion of its cause in Estmerish Prime Minister Wilton-Smyth. Whilst the Euclean Community as a whole, and much of the world for that matter, have voiced diplomatic, humanitarian and sometimes economic support, Estmere is leading a campaign to provide military assistance to the legitimate government of Tsabara.

Prime Minister Wilton-Smyth, a noted critic of Zorasan, had met with the Tsabaran government and President al-Qutayni earlier this month. The two discussed important issues arising from Zorasani attempts to consolidate their control in the region, with the Tsabaran president praising Euclea -- but Wilton-Smyth in particular -- for being a steadfast ally against those who were threatening to topple the Tsabaran democratic processes and democracy.

The President revealed the assistance Estmere was providing today ahead of several planned missions that aim to be taking place this week. Estmerish pilots have been sent to bases across eastern Tsabara to train the nation's already qualified pilots with the "intricacies" of the Estmerish crafts, as well as the "newest tactics" and "doctrines" in aerial counter-insurgency.

"Estmere knows the issues that the Zorasani backed rebellious forces in the east pose for the rest of the world," the President said. "Their assistance in containing the radicals of Sheik Salah and al-Isbah, especially with the reports of horrific attacks against minorities in their held cities, is instrumental to their defeat. Zorasani influence permeates Salah and his followers. The destruction of the Federation only benefits the Zorasani. Like in Irvadistan all those years ago, where the Communalist Regime -- for all its faults -- fought to defend a sovereign country, it is now up to us to break Zorasani expansion."

"Zorasan represents the centre of an Axis of Evil." The Estmerish Prime Minister himself said, when questioned by reporters over the decision to go further than most in relation to the Tsabaran crisis. "It is our moral duty as a nation to assist the legitimate government of Tsabara against these Zorasni-backed splinter groups and extremists."

East preparing for war - mobilisation, political consolidation and control

Image
For the past two weeks the rebels have been mobilising thousands of men.
Adunis, Adunis Province -Since the government withdrawal from the eastern provinces two weeks ago, the situation in the East had radically changed. In the space of 14 days, not only has Sheik Faizan Salah united various fledgling militias under the command of the Irfanic Liberation and Resistance, while consolidating his political hold over the east through the Supreme Political and Resistance Committee. According to sources inside the east, the SPRC has launched a full-scale mobilisation of its territories and preparing for “full-out war” with the government.

The government’s withdrawal from the East was a “tough personal decision” for interim president Nazim al-Qutayni, but its effects on the ongoing crisis have been profound. With the complete shutdown on information from the east, the outside world has become reliant on unnamed and hidden sources, who have expressed fears of reprisal. According to hundreds of messages, the east has fallen under the “complete and total” control of Sheik Faizan and the League of the Righteous – the political Irfanic movement that propped up Atwan al-Tughluq in his final years.

The LR now dominates the so-called Supreme Political and Resistance Committee, a body that takes the form of a government, with ministries, offices and agencies and a military. The SPRC consists of LR leaders and the governors of Aïn Djasser, Juraynah, Hassani Abdelkrim and Qadessiyya. The SPRC’s control was solidified by the forced removal or disappearance of rival movements or militias. One source, said, “they hunted down any militia leader who refused to serve the SPRC, they literally killed them in the street or stole them away.” This has been corroborated by numerous sources but remains unverified.

While Sheik Salah reportedly holds the position of General-Secretary, Adavazdar al-Hassani, the governor of Qadessiyya leads the SPRC in political matters. The SPRC has established a “provisional assembly” to represent the territories it controls, but all representatives are reportedly members of the League of the Righteous. The SPRC has established its police force, using the provincial law enforcement bodies of the provinces under its control.

Perhaps most importantly, the SPRC has established a unified fighting force in the form of the Irfanic Liberation and Resistance (ILR), under the command of General Zahran al-Amari, the former commanding officer of the Tsabara Eastern Command. According to sources inside the East and from the federal government, the ILR could include up to 100,000 armed militants, alongside the 22,000 provincial guards and 30,000 defected troops from the regular armed forces. The ILR boasts tanks, armoured vehicles, artillery and anti-aircraft missiles.

Over the past week, sources inside the East have begun stressing stories of the ILR’s “mass spiritual mobilisation campaign”, in which they are reportedly calling on all males above the age of 19 to registered with the Central Resistance Office for conscription. Some sources have indicated that conscripts are being promised monthly payments to their families, while other sources claim that the SPRC are offering pay-outs to “martyrs.” It is not known how many have signed up or volunteered, but sources inside the East have said that in some cases, the ILR has pressganged men into service.

One group of unnamed sources claiming to be inside Sidi Amar, the stronghold of the SPRC, have described a growing number of men in the city “speaking in thick Pardarian accents.” Others have claimed seeing men of Hyndanian and Bahian ethnicity. At least two sources have claimed that there “many if not hundreds of Zorasanis in Sidi Amar, they’re helping the ILR set up.” None of these claims can be verified and the government could not be reached for comment on matter.

The government has claimed that the east is becoming a major hub of the Coian illegal arms trade, with one Ministry of Defence figure conceding, “the east is being flooded with weapons, we’re looking at thousands of rifles pouring across the porous border, with little to be done.”

The SPRC having seized control of provincial TV and radio stations has began establishing a prominent media presence across its territory. Numerous stations have been seized Al-Hidda, (“the Rage”), a long-time media outlet connected to the League of the Righteous. According to sources inside the East, Al-Hidda is the only channel accessible by people, while the SPRC has ordered the removal of satellite dishes from homes and business.

One area of deep concern to humanitarian groups and the government is the numerous claims by sources in the east of atrocities being committed against Atudite civilians who were unable to leave before the government’s withdrawal. While none of the claims have been independently verified, numerous sources have described a systematic expulsion of Atudites from the city of Beit Shajaf. Others have also described incidents in Sidi Amar and Hitteen.

The incident reported in Beit Shajaf began hours after unknown armed militia expelled Federal Armed Forces units from the city days before the withdrawal. The sources claimed that once FAF units had fled, these armed groups then proceeded in the Atudite quarter of the “Oil District” and began shooting Atudite families hiding in their homes. Those who weren’t shot were forced out of their homes with their belongings and driven to the east and told to go to Adiris. No word has come from the Adirian border on the status of these individuals. The government announced that it would investigate claims of atrocities and would be focusing on the alleged incident in Beit Shajaf.

According to the city’s last population estimate, the city of 130,000 had approximately 12,000 Atudites. These were primarily housed in the oil worker’s district, where gated communities separate it from the rest of the mostly deprived city. Most of these civilians had fled the city from last November, but at least 2,500 remained, it is not known how many of these individuals still reside in the city.

A government spokesperson said this morning at a press conference, “if these alleged atrocities did take place, then the situation our country finds itself in, will be entirely different. If this case in Beit Shajaf is proven to be legitimate, our pursuit for national salvation will be even greater and will prosecute the SPRC as war criminals.”

An SPRC statement posted online rejected accusations of atrocities against Atudites saying, “Atudites are not the Lions, just as Badawiyans are not Al-Isbah. Our purpose and journey is to establish a Tsabara that is beneficial to all its peoples, not just the Euclean controlled coastal elites, who allow vicious barbarism to be unleashed against innocents in the name of the status-quo. We do not kill innocents we fight for them. We fight for innocent Atudites, Sotirians and Irfani all the same.”

In recent days however, the sources we have come to rely upon have been saying the same thing – the East is preparing for all-out war against the government. They seek to take Adunis, to “reclaim the tomb of our Prophet and throw the enemies of God into the sea.” The mass conscriptions, the emergence of the weapons trade and the reorganisation of the militias all point to an impending offensive. The country may have enjoyed a “phoney war” for the past two weeks, but its clear it will break at any moment.

Central Command Council denounces Estmerish deployment
SURENA ALIZADEH, CHIEF DEFENCE CORRESPONDENT
Doshanbeh: 5. Esfand 1398 |Zahedan

Image
Central Command Council member General Sadavir Hatami addressed reporters on behalf of the CCC.

The Central Command Council has denounced the deployment of Estmerish aircraft and pilots to western Tsabara in what they described as a “dangerous and worrying escalation of the situation.” Addressing reporters on the CCC’s behalf, General Sadavir Hatami said, “this region is already beset by dangerous and provocative deployments by radical and ignorant elements from the eastern hemisphere, now we have the country that ensured this war erupted with its Irfanophobic plots deploying military hardware.” The CCC has reportedly urged the government to cease all direct talks with Caldia over Estmere’s provocation.

The CCC’s intervention follows the announcement by Tsabaran state media that Estmere will providing pilots and trainers to “assist” the Tsabaran Air Force in “aerial counter-insurgency missions.” While the assistance to be provided was described as “minimal” by Gen. Hatami, he did accuse the Estmerish government of “willingly walking to the inevitable curse of mission creep.” The CCC also denounced it as a dangerous “internationalisation of the crisis.”

General Hatami said, “this crisis deepens day by day, pushed ever toward all-out war by the incompetence and weakness of the Tsabaran government. This incompetence is ignored or at least worsened by the unconditional support given to it to by some governments, especially the one in Ashcombe.” He went to say, “this government is the one that ensured this war’s eruption through its Irfanophobic plots and duplicitousness.”

“The CCC recognises that this assistance is minimalistic, though aiding the government in the inevitable mass bombing of civilians is quite negative enough. What this deployment does, is open the door to mission creep, no doubt the intention of the Estmerish government. I can assure you all, that any further direct deployments will alter the security situation in this region dramatically. When security situations change, we change with them” he said further.

In direct reference to the deployment of Chervolesian military units to Djedet, Gen. Hatami said, “this region is already beset by dangerous and provocative deployments by radical and ignorant elements from the eastern hemisphere.”

In response to the deployments, the Central Command Council has demanded that the government cease its direct talks with the Caldish government, which have been ongoing since the Yeruham Attacks last December.

“In wake of this Euclean deployment, the Central Command Council has demanded that the Union Ministry for Foreign Affairs immediately cease and withdraw from talks with the Caldish government. Though we praise the bravery and fortitude the Taoiseach, its clear that no progress has been made in maintaining a diplomatic role for outside powers” he said.

Under the constitution, the Central Command Council maintains a final say on foreign policy. This means that talks with Caldia will end within days, if they have not already.

In response to the Chervolesian and Estmerish deployments, Gen. Hatami conceded that the Union’s air force would be increasing its activity to the north and north-east.

“We will increase our patrols, ensuring our territorial integrity and the security of our airspace. No intrusion will be tolerated, and no quarter will be shown to any piece of military machinery that enters our airspace” he said.

In response to a question regarding the accusation that Zorasan is supporting the Irfanic Liberation and Resistance forces under Sheik Faizan Salah, Gen. Hatami said, “these accusations were always inevitable. When faced the consequences of his own incompetence and thirst for power, the acting president in Tsabara, with his friends in Ashcombe will produce whatever lie is necessary.”

In a related development, the Zorasani Refugee Assistance Agency (ZRAA) has established its first processing camp in northern Irvadistan. Since the Mazar Attacks on January 17, up to 98,000 Tsabarans have fled into northern Zorasan. The government last night announced that it was preparing three more such camps in coming weeks, in anticipation for a major escalation of violence in the northern neighbour.

CALDISH DIPLOMATS ALARMED BY ESTMERISH INTERVENTION IN TSABARA
The deployment of Estmerish fighter jets and pilots to train their Tsabaran counterparts marks an escalation

Foreign Minister Séamus Ó Faoláin said the Caldish government was "monitoring the situation" in Tsabara when reached for comment.

SPÁLGLEANN – Estmere's recently announced military assistance to the acting Tsabaran government has provoked alarm in Spálgleann, where officials are concerned about the impact such a move would have on tensions in the region. An already volatile situation inflamed by sectarian conflict could get worse, as Caldish foreign policymakers fear that the situation will continued to escalate.

On Saturday, Tsabara's interim president Nazim al'Qutayni announced the Estmerish government had agreed to provide military aid to the internationally recognized government he leads. Estmerish pilots have already been sent to bases throughout Tsabara in order to train the qualified pilots in aerial counter-insurgency. A number of Estmerish fighter jets have also been sent to the country, where they will be based out of bases near the capital of Adunis.

The Estmerish government is hoping to curtail the rise of Irfanic militant groups with suspected ties to the Zorasani government. Unilateral Estmerish intervention comes after peace talks sponsored by the Caldish government collapsed in the wake of terrorist attacks that targeting Irfanic sites of worship. In response, the Zorasani military launched a series of strikes against the group responsible for the attacks - known as the Lions of the Homeland.

Caldish diplomats and foreign policy experts have spent the weekend discussing the government's continued approach to the political crisis in Tsabara. Previous attempts to avoid sectarian conflict failed when talks between the acting government and a power Irfanic cleric folded last month.

There are growing concerns among Caldish foreign policymakers that Estmere will continue to act unilaterally. The Euclean Community has been slow to response to the crisis in Tsabara, with an internal divide over how to approach the issue. There is a near consensus that sectarian violence in Tsabara could result in a major humanitarian crisis, but member-states have failed to reach an accord on how to proceed. A group of smaller members led by the Caldish government were able to delay any direct EC involvement until after the Caldish-mediated peace talks collapsed.

The Caldish government was supportive of efforts to officially declare support for al'Qutayni's government and to provide humanitarian assistance. However, like many other member-states there was a skepticism for Estmerish proposals calling for material aid. Caldsh diplomats indicate that skepticism remains, but it has not deterred the Estmerish from acting independently of the EC.

One Caldish diplomat warned that Estmerish involvement in Tsabara would lead to further instability and a rise in tensions between the EC and Zorasan.

"In the end it is all fairly simple. If Estmere wants to act independently of the [Euclean] Community, it is going to do so" the diplomat said. "Such an approach will obviously mark a significant escalation in tensions in the region, generating further instability and pushing Tsabara closer to all-out civil war".

Fears among Caldish diplomats are not without merit. Since peace talks collapsed, the Tsabaran withdrew from its Irfanic majority eastern provinces. In their stead, Irfanic militias and provincial governments have risen. A rival government to al'Qutayni's has now formed, led by the powerful Sheik Faizan Salah. Forces loyal to Salah's unrecognized government are well equipped and potentially number in the hundreds of thousands, as militants are bolstered by provincial guards and military defectors.

Zorasan has denounced Estmerish aid to the Tsabaran government and there have been reports in the Zorasani press that the government would suspend all direct talks with the Caldish government. One Caldish diplomat confirmed that the Zorasani government had actually suspended all communication with Spálgleann over Tsabara.

"That back-channel has now closed, meaning it becomes harder for the EC and Zorasan to reach any sort of accord over Tsabara" the official said.

The Caldish government has declined to officially comment on Estmerish intervention in Tsabara. When asked to comment, Foreign Minister Séamus Ó Faoláin simply stated that the Caldish government was "monitoring the situation" and declined to elaborate further. Statements made by a Minister of Foreign Affairs spokesperson echoed Mr. Ó Faoláin's remarks.

However, there is a growing uneasiness within Clare House over Estmere's involvement in Tsabara. Caldish officials have indicated the government will not officially alter its position to go against that of the EC, but that some policymakers favor an approach that would chastise their Estmerish counterparts. The Caldish government is also understood to be concerned about the acquisition of foreign military bases in Badawiya and Bahia, with both Chervolesia and Zorasan securing permanent bases in recent weeks.

Tensions remain high in the region and there have already been reports of atrocities against Tsabara's civilian population at the hands of Sheikh Salah's government. Spálgleann is worried that this will continue and intensify as time passes, with a proxy-war coming to dominate the Tsabaran conflict. One source within the Foreign Ministry indicated the government is worried that there could be millions of people displaced by the conflict.

"You have ethnic and religious minorities in different parts of the country faced with a series threat not just to their human rights, but to their very lives. In a nightmare scenario, these people will flee in desperation and attempt to cross the Aurean Straits. As the world's busiest water-way and one of the a narrowest, the must be avoided at all costs" the official remarked. Such a position is common throughout the EC, where bloc President Alexis Walker has made similar comments in the past.

DEFENSE SECRETARY OFFERS SPECIFICS ON MILITARY ASSISTANCE TO TSABARA AMID GROWING CRITICISM

Image
A squadron of Estmerish Euclofighter jets have been deployed to assist the Tsabaran government against Irfanic rebels.
Ashcombe - The Estmerish government has provided the international community with clarity on its recent military deployment in Tsabara. Government officials published details for all military assistance offered to the interim Tsabaran government. The specifics came after growing backlash both at home and abroad over the prime minister's decision to provide material and military aid to the government of acting President Nazim al'Qutayni.

At a press conference held this morning, officials from the Defence Secretariat confirmed that a squadron of Estmerish fighter jets had been deployed to Tsabara. In addition, support equipment and personal have also been sent to the Badawiyan nation.

Secretary for Defence Cedric Lewis said that over one-hundred Estmerish military personnel had been deployed in Tsabara. He declined to provide exact figures, citing concerns about Zorasani interference with the Estmerish mission.

"Over one-hundred [military] personnel will provide assistance to the al'Qutayni government. They will take on several roles, but are mostly focused on supporting and training members of the Tsabaran armed forces. Many pilots will be serving as advisers".

The squadron sent to Tsabara will be based out of government-controlled air bases located near Adunis, the Tsabaran capital. A total of twenty-for fighter aircraft have been deployed, a mix of Euclofighter Typhoons and Euclofighter Tornadoes. Other equipment has also been sent alongside the Euclofighters, most of which will play a supporting role for the squadron.

When pressed about the presence of Estmerish fighter jets in Tsabara, the Defence Secretary indicated that they would mostly be used to train Tsabaran pilots.

"We want to ensure that the Tsabaran air force is in a strong position, and that requires us to provide training for the best equipment available".

Reports of a planned arms deal with the Tsabaran government have circulated within the international press for several weeks. Today, Lewis appeared to hint that a deal was in the works when he stated that the Estmerish government was "finalizing talks" with Adunis and some of its key partners in Euclea.

He declined to specify whether or not Estmerish pilots would run missions in Tsabara on behalf of al'Qutayni's government.

Lewis also sough to play down claims that the Estmerish government had violated a Community of Nations Security Committee resolution by sending members of its armed forces to Tsabara.

"Our servicemen have been invited by the acting president and are deployed in Tsabara in accordance with CN resolutions and our diplomatic agreements".

The decision to provide the Tsabaran government with military assistance has fueled a controversy both in Estmere and the region. Opposition leader Robert Spencers called the decision "a major escalation that put the lives of our service-members at risk".

Spencers, who leads the Democratic Labour Party, promised to table a resolution in parliament that would require Reginald Wilton-Smyth's government to ask for the approval of parliamentarians before providing military assistance in the future.

It has also provoked concerns in Euclean capitals. Last weekend, Caldish diplomats expressed fears that an Estmerish military presence would continue to escalate already strained ties with Zorasan. In response to Estmere's deployment, the Zorasani government cut off all communication with their counterparts in Spalgleann and are refusing to engage with the Euclean Commission.

The prime minister dismissed foreign concerns, saying that while they were valid such fears were misplaced.

"Our military assistance to the legitimate Tsabaran government at a time when Zorasan has not only stoked sectarian strife, but has conducated numerous military operations on Tsabaran soil will ensure that the Zorasani military regime's nefarious influence is pushed out".

As the world watches, Adunis goes ahead with planned offensives.

Image
The government's use of heavy armour is seen as 'instrumental' in the defeat of the rebels.
Bedjene Province - As the divisions within Tsabaran society have ripped in twain, and strife, conflict and crimes pilfer through towards the rest of the world, the government has undergone several offensives in the central Tsabaran province of Bedjene.

Bedjene is the second largest province within the Federation by population, behind Yeruham. It is the third largest in terms of geographic area. It is also the only of the provinces that directly borders both Adunis, the seat of the government, and Aïn Djasser, the 'heart' of Sheik Salah's territory.

Acting President Nazim al'Qutayni described the tactic as one that is planned to "perform a decisive blow" against the insurrectionists and rebels in the east of the country.

The news of the offensive comes after the Estmerish reaffirmed their commitment to the fight, with the Estmerish defence secretary having to defend his position on the matter. Cedric Lewis, Estmere's Secretary for Defence, confirmed that "Over one hundred [military] personnel will provide assistance to the al'Qutayni government." According to the reports of the Aschombe Herald, Estmere has supplied twenty-four fighter aircraft, an unknown mix of 'typhoons' and 'tornadoes.' Whilst other equipment was mentioned, it has not been specified.

Whilst not all the details have been made available, the offensive has been mostly composed of armoured units. Much of the reporting comes from second-hand accounts on Twitter and Facebook, as in Bedjene the internet has not been cut off like in provinces in the further east. The official troop figures are unknown, but armoured brigades have been reported to be present. This information was corroborated by our military correspondent, who described the armoured vehicles -- Tsabara's famed 'Earaba' Main Battle Tank -- as the "spearhead of any worthwhile offensive."

The Tsabaran government has gone to great lengths to exemplify the multi-ethnic and multi-religious composition of its forces, painting itself as a force for the cosocial state against religious extremists.

Reports that the Estmerish fighters that have been stationed in airbases near Adunis since late February were providing aerial support for the operation have been denied by the government, claiming that it was their own aerial forces that had successfully provided close air support and the bombing of strategic positions on the Bedjene/Aïn Djasser border.

Tsabaran navy deploys to Hitteen as government exercises authority in the south.

Image
A squadron of ships from the Tsabaran navy were deployed to the Qadessiyya Bay
Hitteen, Qadessiyya Province - Government forces have begun combating forces of the insurrectionists and religious extremists associated with Sheik Salah, which refers to itself as the 'Supreme Political and Resistance Committee', but has also been referred to as 'Irfanic Liberation and Resistance'.

With a military offensive around Bedjene seeing success that began earlier this month, Adunis has aimed on reasserting control over the seas and ports in the south of the country. Unlike the army, none of the navy has experienced any defections -- and several questionable captains were preemptively detained by forward thinking admirals. This is with the exception of the 'El Fateh', a corvette stationed at Hitteen which fled south to Zorasani waters following the instability in the region. Nazim al'Qutayni has requested to Zahedan that the ship be returned to assist in the endeavours to defeat Salah's insurrectionists.

The naval squadrons sent to Hitten in Qadessiyya are to provide naval and air support to the advancing forces of the Federation's army as it aims to wrestle control of key parts of western Qadessiyya, eastern Trifaoui and Juraynah. It is composed of three destroyers and four frigates. They are expected to bring much needed force of arms to wrestle control of the seaports in the region back to the government. In conjunction with the attack, Nazim al'Qutayni has imposed a no-fly zone that extends to civilian aircraft over southern Tsabara due to sensitive military activity in the area.

Much of the region has seen minor towns and settlements come under attack from what is being reported to be a new aspect of the ILR. These forces, now known as the 'Irfanic Volunteer Army', seems to be composed of multinational Irfanics that were summoned to a call to arms by Sheik Salah. Several captured soldiers are claimed by the government to have originated from across the continent, including as far as Mabifia and Ajahadya. Most shockingly, several Euclean countries have been informed by Adunis that some of the members of the IVA that have been captured in both the movements in the south and the Bedjene offensive are Euclean citizens.

"We are calling on international governments to better vet those who are leaving their countries in this time of crisis" a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry told Le Fédéraliste.

Tsabaran president Nazim al-Qutayni with Xiaodongese State Chairman Yuan Xiannian.

Xiaodong to orders immediate economic withdrawal from Tsabara
Despite a series of marathon meetings between al-Qutayni and Yuan, Xiaodong moves to cut its remaining economic links with the embattled country
Matthew Cheung reporting from Yanglin, Jindao
March 28, 2020

Despite the smiles both leaders were putting on when addressing a press conference, the atmosphere could hardly be more acrimonious as Xiaodong's State Chairman Yuan Xiannian announced measures that amount to withdrawing its multitude of economic assets in Tsabara, potentially causing further economic collapse amid Tsabara's civil war.

Yuan and Tsabaran interim president Nazim al-Qutayni had reportedly been negotiating for several hours regarding the status of Xiaodong's substantial assets in Tsabara, estimated to total over €24 billion nominally, although due to the ongoing civil war this number has likely substantially deteriorated. For months Xiaodong has sought to protect their economic interests in Tsabara which include huge investments into infrastructure and the oil industry in particular.

In January Vice-Premier Jiang Shaohong promised Xiaodongese businesses in Tsabara that Xiaodong will do "whatever it takes" to protect their investments in the country and promised a financial package totally €10 million to help manage vital assets in the country. A series of meetings between Xiaodongese trade officials and their Tsabaran counterparts was also undertaken. Reportedly Xiaodongese officials were hoping that a political solution to the crisis could be arranged and failing that that Tsabaran military units be deployed to protect Xiaodongese-owned infrastructure and oil investments in the country.

The withdrawal of Tsabara however from the International Forum of Developing States meant that Xiaodong alongside Zorasan submitted a joint motion to the IFDS secretariat to suspend all ongoing IFDS projects in Tsabara. Xiaodongese businesses and corporatised state-owned companies also began an unilateral withdrawal of assets in the country.

In light of this Yuan and al-Qutayni arranged a series of impromptu meetings that sought to discuss Xiaodongese assets in Tsabara and the possibility of Xiaodong deferring Tsabaran debt to Xiaodong as long as the civil war continued. However, officials close to the Xiaodongese office have stated that in recent weeks Xiaodong has adopted a much more hardline stance under pressure from Zorasan and concerns over al-Qutayni.

"Al-Qutayni was originally seen by Xiaodong as a potential ally who could stabilise the country and therefore protect Xiaodongese interests" analyst Albert Valles stated to the Coian Monitor. "However the withdrawal of Tsabara from the IFDS, cancelling links with ROSPO and leaning closer to Euclea only proved to the interventionists in the Xiaodongese government that he couldn't be trusted and that "tough love" was needed".

"The decision to allow Estmerish jets to combat rebel forces sealed the deal for Xiaodong. It proved al-Qutayni was willing to abandon Xiaodong for newer allies and therefore deserve little respect from Xiaodong".

Indeed, state propaganda increasingly prior to this meeting began describing al-Qutayni as "weak", "lacking political skills", "incompetent" and "divisive" in comparison to cautious praise earlier in the year. A withdrawal of all Xiaodongese military personnel in the country deployed as part of a ROSPO military mission in 2008 was undertaken in February, although some have questioned whether they have taken with them key military information.

Yuan's statement indicates that Xiaodong will be undertaking several measures regarding the status of their economic assets that include withdrawing all financial assets, shutting down all Xiaodongese businesses in the country and looking to move hard assets where possible to protect them from possible damage from civil war factions.

"There may be harm to the Tsabaran economy" Yuan stated "but we made a guarantee to our businesses to protect them and after speaking with President al-Qutayni it has become clear that these measures are the only appropriate avenue we have".

Valles says that Xiaodong as a result of this is trying to place "maximum pressure" on the Tsabaran economy. "Yuan has clearly sided with Zorasan in his desire to put enough pressure on the Tsabaran government to hasten its collapse to rebel forces, ensuring a more friendly face emerge in Adunis. Zorasan is doing this militarily, Xiaodong economically".

Analysts expect that Xiaodong may also demand Tsabara to repay debts soon or even demand collateral, which includes sections of the Tsabaran oil refining industry. Others predict that Tsabara may default on the debt or nationalise Xiaodongese industry in the country which would significantly increase tensions.

In any case, Yuan and his government seemed to have - implicitly - decided to worsen ties with Tsabara by aligning with Zorasan's strategy. Whether this risky move is a success or not, only time will tell.

War ravages Bedjene as FAF faces stiff resistance.

Image
Government soldiers on lookout in the besieged town of Beit Farouk.
Bedjene Province - Heavy fighting has gripped central Tsabara as the government continues its drive to secure control over the province and its capital in Qa’ah. Despite rapid earlier successes, as the government pushed further east, resistance has grown exponentially. Devastating fighting has been reported in numerous towns west of Qa’ah, while government forces have reportedly reached the suburbs of Qa’ah. Several independent groups have claimed that at least 2,500 people have been killed over the past three weeks.

After three weeks of steady advance, and loyalist forces being greeted as liberators, the federal operation in Bedjene province has turned markedly sour. Resistance from armed gunmen unaffiliated to any militia or group, are fighting alongside organised groups, who are appearing to be rapidly falling under the control of Al-Isbah. The Irfanic fundamentalist group, emerged from nowhere to global infamy following the cruel assault on Yeruham last December.

The resistance be Al-Isbah has been described as “fanatical”, “merciless” and “vindictively indiscriminate” according to sources in the armed forces.

Resistance to the government advance has been notably strong in the so-called “Fertile Column”, a north-to-south strip of lush farmland that lies to the west of the Ain Djasser Desert. The region has long been a hotbed for Irfanic fundamentalism, with numerous schools, seminaries and libraries producing some of the most controversial Irfanic theologians. The region’s stark economic divisions between rich and poor only further fuelled the movement. So unpredictable and volatile is the movement, that both late strongman Atwan al-Tughluq and even the Salahist rebels in the east have denounced them, though the latter has moved to accommodation with the group.

As federal forces pushed into the “Fertile Column” they found Al-Isbah entrenched and ready to fight. According to government sources and statements, the FAF has been forced in gruelling house-to-house fighting in the towns of Beit Farouk, Ajman, Kharadj and the western outskirts of Qa’ah. Al-Isbah militia appear to have been reinforced by fighters of the pro-Salah, “Irfanic Liberation and Resistance.”

Al-Isbah is reportedly relying on booby traps, improvised explosive devices, hit and run attacks in densely packed urban areas and worringly, suicide bombers and car bombs. This type of defence has inflicted a heavy toll on civilian populations according to several independent observer groups.

The Tsabaran Emergency Assistance Organisation has stated online that the situation in central Bedjene is “catastrophic”.

“We have seen thousands displaced by the fighting, for this is a heavily and densely populated region. We’re seeing hundreds of civilians killed, water and electricity have been lost either through collateral damage or they’ve been shut off. We’re seeing a catastrophe unfold here” a statement read online.

The stiff resistance has forced the government to rely further on air strikes in support of ground operations, which has in turn had an adverse effect on the FAF’s ability to avoid civilian casualties.

Yet, despite the resistance and toll the fighting is taking on army forces, the government has reaffirmed its vow to retake Qa’ah and destroy Al-Isbah.

In a televised appearance, interim premier, Aslan Ocalan said “we are prepared to do whatever it takes to restore order and dignity to Bedjene province. We will not allow one inch of our country to be oppressed or terrorised by fundamentalists. The struggle will continue until Qa’ah is brought back to the nation.”

In the south-east, forces under the Irfanic Liberation and Resistance have launched their own offensive westward into Trifaoui Province, in the aim of capturing Qusayir and Bayadha. Despite several towns and villages being seized by pro-Salah militants in January, the ILR’s presence has been limited until now.

Social media posts and sources in the province described rocket and artillery attacks, followed by large numbers of fighters and troops swarming across areas south of Qusayir. ILR forces have supposedly taken the towns of Hajanbah, Al-Masgi, Al-Matyah and Al-Mektaa.

Against the rebel forces, are elements of the Trifaoui Provincial Guard and the FAF’s 19th Infantry Brigade. The Ministry of Defence acknowledged the ILR assault against Trifaoui and in a comment said that, the “FAF are making all necessary moves to defend Trifaoui Province.”

The MoD confirmed that 111 soldiers had been killed in Trifaoui Province yet estimated that 400 ILR fighters had been killed. This has not been independently verified.

In a series of online videos, senior figures in the ILR praised the “good work of the revolutionaries charging to free Trifaoui Province.” Amateur videos from the province have shown ILR fighters raising Irfanic banners over buildings and portraits of Sheik Faizan Salah.

Almost 100,000 Tsabarans refugees settle in Zorasan

Zahedan, Union Capital Territory- Over 90,000 men, women and children have fled to northern Zorasan as the civil war in Tsabara escalates. The growing numbers of dispossessed people is being met by both charities and the Irvadi state government, who had established three small refugee and processing camps near the border some weeks ago. The situation in Tsabara has raised wider concerns of a humanitarian disaster as the Tsabaran government resorts to mass indiscriminate bombing of populated places to evict rebel forces.

Since January, approximately 92,459 Tsabarans have fled to northern Zorasan, seeking refuge from the civil war that has now killed an estimated 5,500 people. While a majority of those seeking refuge in the Union have been women and children, growing numbers of young men are joining the masses entering the country. The Irvadi state government announced several schemes aimed at providing employment for the young men, while the General Intelligence Directorate has announced that it will begin interrogating male refugees prior to entry into Irvadistan to determine whether they are security risks.

Most refugees have been settled in either the Tel Samir or Shafaq camps, where they are being housed in refitted containers, that provided air conditioning, electricity and warmth. However, the Irvadi state government warned that capacity is near full at both camps and that emergency provisions may be required if the numbers of displaced do not decrease.

First Minister of the Irvadi Union Republic, Haydar Al-Assani promised “to do all we can for the dispossessed and displaced from Tsabara” at a press conference in Qufeira.

He told reporters, “we have received over 90,000 people from Tsabara and we fully expect this number to grow exponentially in coming days and weeks as the civil war in the country escalates. The state administration is prepared, and we are in close contact with the union government for any assistance.”

The First Minister made it clear when he said, “two weeks ago, Tsabarans were arriving on average 1,200 a day, for the past six days it has been 10,000 a day. We expect this number to rise and we will do all we can to meet the rise”, he informed reporters that three more “container facilities” were being constructed, “we are building more camps with container housing units, we are building three new camps that together can house 150,000 people. But time and numbers are against us.”

The fear is that numbers grow so rapidly, that hundreds of thousands could be forced in makeshift camps comprised of tents and less than suitable infrastructure.

The state government has since scrambled to appropriate land and tents for larger, yet less qualitive camps. The Khazi UR government has sent over 35,000 tents it had stockpiled for possible use to Irvadistan, while the Pardaran UR is readying to dispatch clothes and food packages.

The Union Minister for Emergency and Disaster Response, Mehdi Deghan told UCTV, “what we are seeing at the union republic level is astounding. We are seeing seamless cooperation and collaboration without union government involvement. It is testament to our UR governments.”

Minister Deghan also told the news channel that the Union Government would consider requesting assistance from the international community and transnational NGOs.

“We are prepared to ask for assistance, if numbers explode considering the level of violence and fighting, then we will have no choice but ask for help. It is not a sign of poor preparedness, but the sheer weight of human need” he said.

Needing to meet the need of the Tsabarans, First Minister Al-Assani reaffirmed an earlier pledge by the union-government to, “be as merciful, generous and kind as we can to those who have abandoned everything because they’re government wants to destroy them.”

This was followed by a call to all Zorasanis to “donate and gift” spare food, clothes and toys for the refugees, saying, “it is in our nature and the will of God that we be charitable to the dispossessed and oppressed. I call on all citizens of our Union to do their part and do good for this people.”

Supreme Custodian of the Zorasani Kholafah, Ali Hassan Roshani, also took to call for donations during his Friday-prayers address.

Telling thousands of congregants, “we must all do our part to aid our Irfani brothers and sisters who enter this country in search of safety. We must all donate what we can to ensure that their hardship is less painful and distressing. I urge all to do this under the Second Act of Intercession, may our donations and generosity be followed by providence from God.”

The growing numbers of displaced is granting vindication to a previous study by the UMEDR, where it claimed that if fighting spread to southern, northern and western regions of Tsabara, the number of displaced could reach as high as 25 million. The same ministerial report claimed that Zorasan could be forced to house an estimated 6 million. However, the report did argue that the number of displaced seeking safety in Euclea could be as high as 8 million.

Government set to nationalise Xiaodongese investments, describing the process as "freedom from economic imperialism."

Image
The Interim-President was 'disappointed' in Xiaodong's decision.
Adunis, Adunis Province - Despite the attempts of both Nazim al'Qutayni and Yuan Xiannian, the efforts to reach a diplomatic accord on the issue of investments in Tsabara's economy and infrastructure fell flat. The Xiaodongese State Chairman was adamant in the "immediate withdrawal" of economic assets in the country, citing the insecurity of the region and Adunis' decision to leave the IFDS.

The Tsabaran President lamented the decision was "unfortunate" and ultimately reaffirmed to the international community that the decision to leave the IFDS was "wholly a result of the economic imperialism that Zahedan wishes to pursue." He would add that "Zorasan left no other option" in regards to the IFDS, arguing that by abandoning the organisation it had hoped that Xiaodong would "reign in the Zorasanis."

"It is clear now that this will not be the case," the al'Qutayni conceded. "The only nation that requires the 'tough love' that State Chairman Xiannian describes is Zorasan."

In a show of force and retaliation, especially as Xiaodong offers millions worth in Euclos to its interests in the country in a bid to "help manage vital financial assets", Adunis has announced an intention to nationalise "key foreign industries" for the sake of the nation. Whilst the impromptu meetings between both heads of state seemed to indicate a shift towards cooperation, especially in light of Tsabara's international debts, the two have become diametrically opposed.

It could be expected to see most, if not all, of Xiaodongese assets in the country will be taken over by the government. These include large scale food processing plants, oil refineries and wells, infrastructure and construction companies, etc.

Yet the government has aimed to alleviate the concerns of global business by aiming to appease to their requests and demands for the Tsabaran market. Estmere, for instance, has already been contacted by Adunis to set out further investment opportunities -- with which we understand Aschombe to be fairly pleased. Additionally, the Gaullican Government successfully rallied the monetary requirements for a bill to aid the Tsabaran state in the upgrading and maintenance of its water infrastructure, including vital pipelines that had provided water to drought-struck Zorasan last year.

Marcel Bollendorff, the Euclean Commissioner for International and Emergency Aid and Crisis Support, stressed the necessity of the Euclean Community to "be on the frontlines in the assistance of Tsabara", arguing it was a "geopolitical and moral necessity to help it keep its economy stable." When asked about the Xiaodongese decision, Bollendorff argued that it could have "lasting consequences and repercussions for the economic viability and stability of the region."

As conflicts continue, some Tsabarans flee east and north to escape the conflict.

Image
Women and children from Bedjene Province have begun arriving on the shores of Emessa.
Givei, Emessa - As the internal situation in Tsabara continues to escalate and violence spreads across the country, displaced peoples and those running from the conflict have finally made their way to Euclea in a significant number.

Just the other day it was reported by Zorasani media that more than 100,000 Tsabarans had sought refuge in the country. The Tsabaran Government itself has warned of an exodus of individuals fleeing from the "terror of Al-Isbah" and "Sheik's rampant extremism to non-Irfanics".

Over 2,000 people have made their way across the eastern Solarian Sea, passing through the Alba Archipelago, since last Saturday. The Tsabarans have mainly made their way across through the use of rafts, small fishing vessels or paying passage on larger trawlers. Most of those 2,000 who have made their way from coastal Boukhadra and Netanya have been found to originate from further inland.

Over 90% of these refugees have been estimated to be women and children. One of them, who identified herself as Jamala Mahdavi, said to us that: "I no longer felt safe in Qaa. I tried to convince my sisters and my cousins to flee as well, but they would not. My children needed to be out of that city. There is bloodshed on the streets. Rampant killings, indiscriminate killings. No food, no water, little electricity. That is not a life for anyone. We cannot go back."

Much like the rest of the refugees, Jamala finds herself currently awaiting processing at a customs facility in Givei. She told the Fédéraliste that she had expected such processes, but the others had convinced themselves of safety once off of their respective boats. She was concerned about how long they would go without becoming distressed further.

Adunis has confirmed that it has suspected individuals would be fleeing from the frontlines further east, but conceded that "fleeing across the Solarian was not something we entertained was going to happen." One senior figure, who wished to remain anonymous, admitted that as far as he was aware there were "efforts to build temporary housing and settlements within the Netanya province. It would appear these have been found to be inadequate by those who use them."

With much of the Tsabaran navy operating along the south of the country, much of Tsabara's commitments to the Euclean nations to keep patrolling the straits for human trafficking and refugees have dissipated. It can be expected that unless drastic action is taken soon, with confidence restored in the capability of the Tsabaran government to protect its people, more and more people might view crossing the Aurean Straits a viable alternative to their current situation. Indeed, numerous reports from an independent observer have found that it is likely there are now increasing over-land routes, with several hundreds of migrants likely on their way to Montecara as well.

The Tsabaran government, of course, has remained open to dialogue with its neighbouring countries -- especially on finding ways to best contain a potential crisis.

Audacious ILR cripples regime navy warship in stunning missile attack
A puppet regime frigate has been successfully crippled by two anti-ship missiles fired from Qadessiyah Province, slapping the Euclean controlled govt

Soldiers of the Irfanic Liberation and Resistance forces have scored its first blow against the regime’s navy after one of its frigates off Qadessiyah was struck by a missile. The vessel was engulfed in flames, which lit up the horizon. The images of the burning warship, widely believed for indiscriminate and merciless bombardments of ILR held areas in the province, have since gone viral across the internet.”
Image
Fishermen caught the moment the missiles struck on camera, which has since gone viral

An ILR statement online said, “let the squatter regime in Adunis know that we can strike them even at sea. We will wage this great war in all settings until the free, just and godly rule in Adunis over the corpses of the puppet regime.”

According to a triumphant statement by an ILR spokesman, who spoke within minutes of the first images appearing online gave a detailed account of the victory at sea.

“Over the past several days, ILR forces in Qadessiyah have been struck by missile bombardments. Initially we believed these to be the work of the regime’s air force, but use of radar systems, we determined it was coming from the sea. In response, ILR recon forces observed and located one of the vessels responsible for the deaths of hundreds of innocent civilians.

“The ILR supreme command ordered its immediate destruction, and with the ILR possessing the means and know how to complete such a task, special units were deployed to the coast. And only some hours ago, three anti-ship missiles were fired at the offending vessel, with two striking the ship. It was swiftly engulfed in flames and slowly limped away” he said.

“This was a direct action that surely slapped the face of Qutayni and his squatter regime. We have reminded the regime and its forces of death that the ILR can and will defend itself. And by the grace of God we will sink more ships dare they strike our land again” he concluded.

Other statements and rumours include a popular claim that the missiles were aided by information provided by fisherman. This claim was further fuelled by the viral footage and images of the missile strike appearing to come from a small boat.

The spokesman refused to give detail but assured viewers, “all people of Tsabara who stand with us do in the bravest and loyal of ways. This unity is what send Al-Qutayni and his cabal of foreign puppets into the Sea.”

It is not known how many regime sailors were killed or injured in the successful strike. The vessel appeared to remain afloat after the strike, though it listed and bellowed out smoke.

The missile strike follows a series of successes against the puppet regime’s pathetic air force, with three aircraft shot down by the indomitable Irfanic Liberation and Resistance over the past two weeks. The free nation was also buoyed by news that over 30,000 volunteers had been trained and deployed to the Fronts, to assist already present forces in destroying the forces of Euclean imperialism.

In response to the ship strike, Sheik Faizan Salah said online, “everyday the puppets realise they cannot finish this war, soon, they will realise they cannot win.”

BREAKING Irvadistan declares state of emergency as over 1 million Tsabarans seek refuge
AHMAD HAMADI, IRVADISTAN CORRESPONDENT
Jomeh: 5. Ordibehesht 1399 |Qufeira

Image
The new ramshakled camp at Zinjar, northern Irvadistan[/i]

The Irvadi Union Republic has declared a state of emergency following a surge in the number of Tsabaran refugees seeking safety in northern Zorasan. As of yesterday, roughly 1,220,593 Tsabarans had entered Zorasan, many of whom have been given shelter in two large camps near Assan. The Union-Government has accepted the declaration is “preparing more resources” to assist. The declaration comes as the first few thousand refugees begin crossing the Solarian Sea for safety in Euclea.

The First Minister of the Irvadi UR, Haydar Al-Assani made the declaration during an emergency session of the Irvadi state legislature.

He told members, “it is now without question a crisis we now find ourselves in. We are being overwhelmed by those in need, our facilities are reached maximum capacity and we are in dire need of more resources, space and supplies. I am officially declaring a state of emergency, in the aim of securing Union-Government support.”

The First Minister explained to law makers, “our four main camps, where shelter is provided by air-conditioned containers have all been filled, we are now relying on less than satisfactory camps to house these poor people. These camps cannot sustain the numbers currently seen, nor can they sustain those people in good health or protection.”

Over 600,000 people have sought refuge in northern Zorasan since the beginning of the month, a vast majority of them being children, women and the elderly. Though, the number of men has risen exponentially, with some claiming to be escaping mass conscription by the rebel forces led by Sheik Faizan Salah. An overwhelming majority of those fleeing to Zorasan are from the central province of Bedjene, which is currently besieged by government forces with Euclean assistance.

The Union-Government has confirmed the declaration in Irvadistan, with a swift online statement reading, “we can confirm that the Union-Government has accepted the state of emergency declaration in Irvadistan. As such, the supreme leadership is meeting to discuss the necessary responses.”

The Ajad and Khazestan URs have both announced the construction of camps to assist Irvadistan.

First Minister of Khazestan, Zakir Al-Jabrani, was pictured visiting a newly constructed camp outside Hejjnah, which can house 35,000 people. A second camp is being constructed 15 miles away near the village of Beit Samad, which can house 60,000 people.

In a social media post, Ajad’s Sameena Shahabi announced a camp for 80,000 people is being constructed north of Qasr Ali, but has warned that Ajad’s small size may limit how many it can house.

The Western and Southern URs have announced further plans to distribute resources and funding to Irvadistan to assist in the effort to house as many as possible.

The refugee crisis is the result of the vicious and bloodthirsty war unleashed by “interim” president of Tsabaran, Nazim al-Qutayni. An estimated 88,000 people have died since January in a conflict between the Euclean backed regime and rebels led by Sheik Faizan Salah, that seeks to overthrow the Al-Qutayni government to preserve “Irfanic-Badawiyan Rights” and to create a more “equal and just Tsabara.”
