Hindustan is a vast country, one that encompasses everything from the Indus River Valley to the Ganges River Delta. Following the Indian independence movement and subsequent mass migration, almost all traces of Islam had been erased from the country led by a religious Hindu theocracy in alliance with Buddhist and Jain clergy. Except for the Maldives… the last bastion of Islam in South Asia had been protected explicitly by a British mandate which secured its autonomy, however, the mandate had expired in 2010, and now the restrictions of Hindus and Buddhists buying land in the Maldivian atolls are at stake…

“These restrictions have been keeping this Muslim rats in the Maldivian atolls for too long! Under the name of Lord Rama, we must be able to retake what land has been stolen from us!” Opposition leader Ajit Patnik said as he met thunderous applause from his party, as well as, notably, the Sinhala Hindu-Buddhist party, a party based out of the island of Lanka. “The Atolls are the only place where Muslims are allowed to hold political office, in the land of Hindus! This is foreign rule! We cannot tolerate this!” He was once again met with thunderous applause from his party, Bajrang Dal.

President Yogi Adityanath stood up on his side of the parliament. “I do not agree with most of the Bajrang Dal’s hardline politics, but we all agree that invader religions such as Islam are a disease to the country. Far too long have the Maldivian Atolls been occupied by these invaders, it is time, enough is enough, we will retake our land! This is why I’m signing the repeal to the Dhivehi Land Protections act as affirmed by the now-outdated British mandate, as a presidential decree. And with the support of parliament, and His Holiness the Swaminarayan, this repeal will be executed immediately.” The parliament had already voted on the repeal, which had passed near unanimously, 578-2, with the 2 MPs in opposition being the only two MPs from the Dhivehi Front party. On the executive podium at the head of the parliament, President Adityanath was signing the repeal into action. He then held up the presidential decree to thunderous applause from the parliament, with terrified glances notably, from the only two Dhivehi politicians.

Malè, Maldivian Territories

Thousands of protestors and rioters took to the street of Malè, the capital of the Maldivian Territories to protest this new move. They attempted to attack Hindustani government officials and the police, the city soon declared a state of emergency and the Hindustani military was quickly deployed. A strict curfew was imposed upon the entire Maldivian Territories, and any arsonists were to be taken into police custody.

Government statement regarding ongoing events in Hindustan

In having a shared past as subjects of the British Empire, the Republic of Annaterra has a degree of fraternal affection towards the State of Hindustan. We have a litany of common sacrifices and common history, which cannot be ignored, and so there exists in that brotherhood a sense of concern and affection for the other. The Republic is eminently concerned in this case for the overall heath of the Hindustani State as a friend and partner on the international stage, and urges restraint on all sides. We have a natural willingness to act as an arbiter in this matter if both the Dhivehi protestors and Hindustani State would be accepting of this role.

In this world of ours, there exists great conflicts, none more noteworthy than the struggle of democratic, capitalist states to hold back the ever pervasive, infectious doctrine of totalitarianism. Hindustan, positioned so close to the territories held by the Chinese Communist Party in spite of the Republic of China, is perhaps one of the most important actors in Asia with regards to the containment of communism. It is with that regard that Annaterra wishes for safety and stability in Hindustan, and is prepared to go to any lengths to preserve that safety and stability.

That imperative struggle against the proliferation of totalitarian doctrines trumps nationalistic and religious concerns, and so it is our hope that a solution exists that will allow all Hindustanis to move forward beyond these divisions and with liberal pride, and we are willing to broker a solution to that effect. We do not feel that the recent developments have been fruitful to our common goals in the region, and sincerely hope that the State of Hindustan and the people of the Maldives can reach common understanding, and turn united to face common enemies.

Government statement regarding the Hindustani reply to the Annaterran negotiation offer

It is unfortunate that the offer of our government to provide mediation in this incident has been rejected by the Hindustani government, and the Republican Government must state that it is deeply concerned by the prospect of unrest in the largest nation that borders Soviet China. Allowing such unrest to persist in this manner is injurious to the cause of maintaining a cordon sanitaire around the remnants of communist totalitarianism. As such, current Hindustani events could be considered contrary to the international interests of the Annaterran Republic, and the free, democratic, capitalist world.

As such, the Republican Government must urge the Hindustani Government to reconsider pursuing a compromise resolution in this matter, and to move beyond religious obsessions which distract from pressing international concerns. The Annaterran Republic does not want to be placed in a position where it finds itself in an animosity with Hindustan, a nation it considers fundamentally honourable and in all other ways a natural ally.

As of now, Annaterra has no desire to directly intervene in the ongoing Maldivean Crisis, but reserves the right to do so if it is felt present geopolitical interests are threatened by continuing issues.

In the strongest terms, we yearn for restraint on all sides, and cool, sensible heads prevailing.

We would like to request that the Hindustani administration cease and avoid such drastic movement against the Muslims of the Maldives. Islam has been present in the Maldives since the 12th Century AD, when the last Buddhist king Dhovemi converted to Islam. The Maldives were not Islamized by conquest and it is against Shariah to force non-Muslims to convert to Islam against their will, and thus we come to the conclusion that the natives are converts to Islam. The Maldivians in this case are not invaders, but more rather your nation is assuming the role of the invader. The people of Maldives are ethnically distinct, and have their own language as well. By definition, a nation is a community which shares the same culture, language, and history. The Maldives have all of these distinct from Hindustan, and thus are a nation separate from Hindustan. To erase them is to conduct imperialism, which is against the doctrine of our great alliance.

It is our hope that you see reason, and avoid such drastic and unnecessary measures which violate the rights of a nation and individuals to self-determination. Much earlier, we of Samporna have had our own dispute with Lumad separatists, Mindanaons who do not follow Islam and either follow animism, hinduism or buddhism; with whom we have achieved a peaceful compromise with. We hope that you are also able to see such a peaceful compromise with the Maldives, and are able to avoid the conduction of imperialism or genocide.

We greatly appreciate the response, we'll be sending private security forces armed with SIG SG 551 5.56x45mm assault rifles, Hi-Point 1095 10x25mm carbines, Baikal MP-133 shotguns, Taurus PT-92 9x19mm handguns, Walther WA 2000 7.62x51mm sniper rifle, HAL light combat helicopters, IAV Stryker armored personnel carriers/infantry fighting vehicles, and non-lethal sponge pellet mines. If you don't want private security forces and just want the weaponry, we can do that. Statement with regards to the persecution of Muslim minorities within the State of Hindustan

His Majesty's Federal Government has no choice but to wholeheartedly and firmly condemn the behaviour of the Hindustani Government towards the Dhivehi minority on the Maldives. Such abusiveness has no place in the 21^st century, and is representative of a cruel and callous disregard for life. It is immensely troubling how wilfully the Hindustani politica apparatus desires to expunge minority groups, and this historical pattern of such behaviours only compounds a reasonable belief that intervention is increasingly necessary. As such, the Federated Kingdom of Gordano and Lysandus urges the State of Hindustan to cease and desist from further provocative actions in the Maldivean archipelago forthwith.

Whilst we have no desire to take action, the RGLN First Fleet has left port from our forward naval base in the Crown Territory of Buskoskia, headed by the aircraft carrier HMFS Renegade and accompanied by nine other combat vessels, along with the hospital ship HMFHS Merciful Hand and supply ships RFRS Foxglove, RFRS Wellington and RFRS Hibernia, in order to provide humanitarian aid to the Maldivean archipelago. The combat vessels will remain outside of Hindustani territorial waters, provided no attempt is made to aggress upon the aid convoy.

Whilst the Hindustani government pursues its continuing campaign against minorities, the Gordanian-Lysandian Federal Government has issued a proclamation outlining punitive tariffs of 20% on Hindustani goods in the domestic market, and will issue financial sanctions excluding Hindustani corporations and individuals tied to the Hindustani Government from continuing transactions within Gordano and Lysandus.

It is our hope that this matter may be de-escalated without conflict, but we hope that other nations will join us in urging a reasonable, liberal solution to the ongoing crisis, and that the rights of peaceful minorities may be guaranteed wherever they exist.

South Madlivian Atolls
Immediately after the repeal was executed, the first land to go was the uninhabited atolls in the south, they were not bought by individual Hindustanis, but rather private property developers and builders who planned on developing the area with assistance from the Hindustani government. Over the course of the next few weeks, ships made makeshift docks on the coast of these atolls, where land surveyors as well as development chiefs arrived, one of the first civilian Hindus in the Maldives since Hindustani independence. They built makeshift shacks to sleep in as they waited for other developmental personnel to arrive, of course building makeshift Hindu shrines to perform their daily puja.

The corporations spearheading this development and subsequent population on the uninhabited atolls stayed put in their position, while other private entities, including average citizens started buying up land on inhabited islands, alongside locals who lived there. Many of these properties were vacation homes which were formerly owned and operated by Dhivehi companies, now in the hands of private Hindustani citizens.

The violent protests continued, and on a daily basis, police and Hindustani military officials would be attacked by protestors. Within these protests however, militant Islamist groups took advantage of this and encouraged mass scale riots and attacks on Hindustani officials and any Hindus or Buddhists on the atolls.

The Malè airport, a hub of tourism from around the world, was shut down under martial law. Protestors would regularly smash glass windows and try to burn entire buildings in protest of the new law. The frequent clashes between the police and protestors often turned violent, and the city which formerly served as a dream honeymoon destination for many across the globe now lay burning…

Report on Hindustani Call for "Crusade"

Welcome back to Gebeta News Nightly, tonight, we will cover a call for a crusade.
Recently a Hindustani state represnative appeaars to be rallying his nation for a crusade to retake Islands under the control of Muslims. Recently, a British mandate that had held a peace on the island, has expired.
The Govenment of Hindustani has made moves to rally its people to retake the islands, apparenlt via bloodshed. Latests reports from the sitiatuon on the ground appear to have indicarions that the Govenement is attempting to anger and stur up the people on the island. Experts belive that the Govenment will use the riots, and reports of radiacls as a exuse to exert a military presensce on the island.
The Actions of the government have had mixed results in the international community. In Gebeta, the Head of state has remained silent, but his Aides had said that in talks in the situation, he condemn the action, and has inquired about armed intervention to quell and future aggressions.

However, it must be rest assured that Hindustan has the situation in the Maldives under control and in compliance with international law. There have been propaganda campaigns by our enemies claiming of bloodshed, but local police authorities have been specifically instructed to not use lethal force unless the situation threatens their own lives.

The Magians hate Islam, because with God's divine guidance the Arab people took their swords and tore apart their degenerate empire that occupied the land of Mesopotamia, it is evident these Hindustanis know as well the history of our people's glory and divine guidance, but we didn't advance beyond the Indus river as history tells it, Omar the Caliph of the Muslims told his army, do not advance beyond this river for it is a land of poverty and misery, yet our religion spread and many in India accepted Islam, and adopted beautiful names like Abdullah and Muhammad, our Arab people married theirs and you could see our minarets and language spreading, just as the Arabs first spread out even before Islam by marrying locals and the unity of the tribes and nations, we the children of Abraham we bear an honorable lineage that many of our relatives in India also bear.

The dogs running Hindustan have sent their armies to our lands, they have destroyed our mosques and punish members of our Ummah. It is the duty of the Islamic nations Arab and non to unite and restore the rights of the Indian Muslims, for if we remain silent, God will humiliate us and replace us, the Arabs will no longer exist, and we will be replaced. I tell the Hindustani brothers, patience and consistency, defend yourselves, they have shed the blood of our brother's peoples and now they will shed your blood out of their animosity and arrogance."
