What this IC is for?

ICly, War and Conquest: The Isles Greatest Empires is a grand 4x strategy video game developed by Neo Arts and published by Chitrakar Studios. The game was released on April 30, 2016. It is a strategy game where players control an Isles nation; conducting trade, diplomacy, colonization, and warfare in the quest of forming the greatest Isles nation.

The game's title has been often shortened to Greatest Empires by players and critics alike who consider it one of the best-selling games from Athara Magarat. While the game only has 20 preset empires, more than 300 nations, from the beginning in 1444 to the end of the Khas-Kirat Empire in 1918, are playable. The tagline of the game is: "Make Your Nation the Greatest Empire of the Isles".

This IC time frame is from 1444 to 1918. You can post anything related to your nation within this time period. The IC reason for these stories being set in this specific time is that these stories are in PDF format or something alongside the game. But that all can be changed later on if you guys demand it.

You all might be familiar with the Citizens thread. This will not be all that different from the Citizens thread but we will do this in the form of letters, poems, manuscripts, songs, diaries, history books, etc clearly specifying the date. We think this is the best option for us since this IC will have to cover a vast timeline of around 400 years and all of TWI.

You know the drill, ladies and gentlemen. No god-modding and meta-gaming! This is IC, refrain from quoting everything.

"The intruder alarm!" Farmers shouted as they left their fields to grab whatever they could find for a weapon. Some of these armed men were already rushing towards the coastline.

Abdul Kambang tried to run after them as well but was called back by Elder Shahida Jimbukang. The elder woman ordered Abdul to instead take the telescope and identify the enemy. Abdul took a closer look at the first warship and noticed the design to be mix of Argean Ipachi, Doman, Lortik and even Aziri shipbuilding. He shifted his view towards the flag and noticed a tricolor of green, white and red with a yellow sun at the center. However, the ships also displayed various other flags. Abdul relayed this information to the elder who grunted. "It is worse then. The Santhali ships always bring warriors from other hangates with them."

"There's a small boat headed this way." Abdul spotted a huge man in full armor standing majestically while two others rowed. After reaching the shores, the huge man marched towards the armed crowd of Kachee villagers.

"Who is in charge of this village?" The huge intruder shouted in Doman, a language that most of the Kachee villagers had forgotten. Elder Shahida however was well-versed in the tongue and presented herself forward. The armored man bowed at the elderly woman before reading from a parchment.

"The Hang of Chatha, by the grace of his ancestors and yours, sends you his warm regards through the messenger General Sathak. As you might be aware, the council of Magarati Doman elders elected respected military commander Jin Lin from their own nobility as their new ruler after the death of the previous Hangma of Tiwe Sivn. However, her spawn with the Holy Emperor of Domanania thinks that the title of Hang is something to be inherited. Six months ago, the father-son duo brought the Imperial Doman armada and even ousted Jin Lin Hang. The Hang of Chatha calls upon all fellow citizens of the Khas-Kirat Empire to wage war against these foreign invaders. He requests your assistance, especially in terms of naval power, in the coming war. "

"Forgive me, General Sathak...but why should men of this village waste their lives fighting your war?" Elder Shahida grunted.

"Imperial decree states every family to send one able-bodied man, or a woman if there are no males in the house, for war. That has been the law since our Empire was declared by Srijunga Hang. I was under assumption that an elder like you would be knowledgeable on that."

"If this is imperial matter, then why is Chatha sending messengers?" The elderly woman questioned.

"The Mahang cannot officially declare war on his own kin lest other members of the powerful Mgar dynasty stage a revolt. The traitors in the Mgar-led hangates have already sided, albeit only diplomatically yet, with these Doman usurpers against the rightful Jin Lin Hang. Which is why, non-Mgar hangates need to stand side by side and defeat this foreign threat." General Sathak replied.

"Look, general. We are just a small village. There is nothing we can do. You should be meeting the Sultan, not some village head."

"Your Sultan has said he would join if his overlord, the Xiangu Hang of Wellsia, accepts our offer. It does not matter if your Sultan or the Xiangu Hang do not personally join the fight, all those who love to defend our empire from foreign usurpers are welcome to travel with us. We will be departing to the Xiangu Hangate tomorrow if the weather is - "

"You should have just said that you needed supplies." Elder Shahida cut the huge man off. "You can stay here for the night. This village might not be able to offer warriors, but we can offer some hospitality to our guests. And you better have your men behave properly."
