You could support either side, or provide the role of an outside observer. (That last one is pretty badly needed)

I would like Aizcona to be trying to keep security across Argus as it not only views itself superior to the nations around it stemming from its roots of the First Estran Republic but it feels a paternalistic nature towards Argus.
Also it feels as though it acts on the interests of the MSTO and the League within Argus as the regional security force basically.
Along with that it’s a justification to keep a well structured force and military that has experience if the nation goes back to fighting Brulafi or the other number of threats.

If you can figure out how to do that, go ahead as soon as possible.

They could've been victims in one of the villages the KBA burnt down? That could really annoy some Ahnslens.
Also is the kidnapped Brulafi Attache public knowledge yet? If not, let me know when/if it does and Keverai can go full diplomat mode to get some virtue signalling going.

Intervene as much as you like, just be sure to keep with the overarching story I have going. About a fourth of the military defected to the rebels, the rest of their army is made up of partisans and local militia.

No but Mokov is equipped like it is
Some uniforms have bright red pants, a lesson tought to the French in ww1 showed why that's a bad idea.
As far as I can tell they don't even use a helmet I wonder how I even get pushed back but then again Vietnam happened, but they didn't charge an armored division with Calvary either so...

No clue, maybe, if so my air force would absolutely shred them
My military equipment is a mixed bag. Some of it is up to date, such as the navy, some of the air force, and my armored vehicles, while some is stuck in the past. Come to think of it, it's much like my own nation. Also the cavalry charge was meant to be a diversion from the main advance, and strafing runs continue to be effective. If you doubt that, just ask someone who was at Pearl Harbor or Singapore or Bataan during WW2. EDIT: I just made a factbook for the rebel uniforms for each side, so you can use that for reference.
