Honestly, this will vary. The Pan-Asiatic States will reach-out to your country if you allow it to, and will always seek to outcompete its rivals by engaging in liaisons with major market behemoths. However, for obvious reasons, we are not compatible political or cultural allies.
In other words, it's entirely up to you; the Pan-Asiatic economy is willing to partner with any country with a large consumer base that can meet Asian exports in the middle. If your nation's foreign policy isn't entirely hostile, I would suggest an economic summit and/or the expansion of Pan-Asiatic Foreign Direct Investments in the North American Union in exchange for you lowering and/or eliminating tariffs on certain Asian exports and industries.
