Since Mackjaracotavaon has dropped out of the RP, I'm in a pickle on what to do with Sister Margaret. Any ideas?

Yes. Retcon their characters out, replace them with new characters if necessary.

Ideas:

1) Assign the character to someone else

2) Make her a "silent character," seen but not heard, never directly interacted with

This should by no means be an exhaustive list. Others are encouraged to contribute.

1) The character is not anyone else's to "assign." No.
2) The owner of the character(s) has clearly stated that they are no longer to be mentioned. Period.

I'm planning on making an app, so I could just take control of the sister.

No. The character is not yours to take control of.

The owner of the character(s) has already made it explicitly clear:

that no further mention of my characters be made.

So find some way to retcon and remove their character(s). Is it awkward when a player decides they no longer want to play? Sure. It sucks when it happens, but sometimes that's the way the cookie crumbles and you just have to adapt. RPers here have managed well enough to retcon and write around characters or prior RP history that they are no longer welcome to interact with for north of 15 years now. You can do so as well.

Mackjaracotavon does not have to play with anyone that they don't want to play with; by trying to use their characters in direct violation of their clear wishes you are trying to force them to engage with you when they have clearly said they no longer wish to participate. Continued efforts to do so is a form of harassment and can get you in trouble. Spare us both the banhammer headache of having to deal with a harassment complaint; it's not that difficult to essentially replace the exiting player's character(s) with new ones that fulfill a similar role in the narrative.

I am insulted at the way that you are reading me the riot act. I was trying to come up with suggestions. It is inappropriate to treat them as if they are set in stone, using clique terms ("retcon") as if you and some in-group can read my mind. YOU VERY OBVIOUSLY CANNOT UNDERSTAND MY INTENTIONS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PRETEND THAT YOU CAN.

That said, I will post that Damnage is being called off the slave camp detail, thus taking you up on what you have written.
