Also, is there a uniform of sorts for the nuns of the Canonist faith, because, with your approval of course, I was planning on having a Western Baronies' character be introduced with a captured Sister Margaret.

Just a typical nun's uniform, with different sashes denoting their rank in the sisterhood, because Canonism is a form of (not)Catholicism made for Cretia. Also, I approve.

I'm quite looking forward to Damnage meeting one of those nuns--in fact, I'd like it if he could rescue the one gone missing.

That would be quite interesting. I intentionally made the Monsieur quite evil. I probably could've just changed his last name to "Bolton."

Wait, so... is the app not needed, since I already posted in the IC? I'm confused.

Name: Sister Margaret
Age: 16
Skills: Medicine, cooking, and childcare.
Weaknesses: No skill in combat or self defense.
Heraldry: Sister of the Holy Church of the Canon - Kingdom of Cretia
Bio: Sister Margaret, real name Emilie Poullain, was a survivor of a bandit raid on her home village near Cretia's coast. After narrowly escaping capture when two inquisitors and the local guard interceded and killed the bandits, she was taken in by the Church of the Canon and, after some debate and upon her request, accepted into the church as a sister serving under Her Holy Reverence, High Mother Catherine II. It was there that she learned important life skills, such as cooking and medicine. She was well liked by non-Canonists for her loving, peaceful nature. When she turned sixteen, Margaret was entrusted with her first assignment for the church, which was to purchase badly needed salves that were in short supply. She hasn't returned since.
Appearance: three foot eight inches tall, unblemished face, nun's uniform with a white sash

Name: Holy Sir Geralt of Rivia, Grand Inquisitor of the White Inquisition
Age: 30
Skills: Highly-trained combatant, monster and demon hunting, diplomacy, humanitarian aid
Weaknesses: stubborn at odd times, can be restless if nervous
Mercenary Company: (unnamed group of inquisitors)
Mercenary Company Overview: 12 highly trained soldiers of the White Inquisition trained to kill unnatural beasts and handle demonic entities, as well as handle diplomacy. Wearing enchanted armor and armed with silver swords.
Bio: A gruff Canonist man hailing from the County of Rivia, Geralt is a no-nonsense soldier and the current head of the White Inquisition. As a child, he looked at the inquisitors with awe, and wanted to join their ranks. He trained every day with his late father's dagger, stabbing and slashing away at a makeshift training dummy made out of old pillows and scrap iron plate. His wish came true at the age of twelve, when then-Grand Inquisitor Philip of Curon chose him for squireship. From there, he devoted more of his time and energy into his training in an effort to make his mentor, and his father, proud. Impressed by his skill and progress, and seeing the boy like an adopted son, Philip increased his already harsh training until he was deemed ready about two years later. Since then, he quickly rose through the ranks, taking on challenging assignments and handling dangerous demonic entities. Philip later declared that Geralt, now at the age of 30, would surpass him as Grand Inquisitor and become the youngest Grand Inquisitor in over a century. This declaration was to be Philip's last words, before he finally passed away. Since then, Geralt has served the church with distinction and loyalty, honoring his mentor's memory.
Appearance: Think Geralt from The Witcher as a human, wearing the Inquisitor's armor and armed with the traditional sword. (An image of the armor can be found in the White Inquisition factbook.)

Not to worry. Nothing I plan is cast in stone until I make a post. Besides, I hadn't read your OOC post before I looked at the IC one.

No problem.

I intended that he be a legitimate threat to the entire party, and the only one of the guard force who is immune to Sister Abacus' Smite Counters. That's the weakness in the spell: Cuthwin's THOUGHTS are always pure, by his standard. The Smite Counter only punishes those who can't meet live by their own rules. This is how I'm writing him, anyway. Of course, Destruistan is welcome to correct any mistakes I may be making.

Please forgive me if I made a few very general statements about Cuthwin's actions. I tried as hard as I could not to put words in his mouth or weapons in his hand. I apologize for the extent to which I failed.

Ah it's fine. That's pretty much what I was going to have Cuthwin do anyway.

Thanks, but please accept my PROFUSE apologies anyway.

Another look at my post made me decide that it's a textbook example of godmodding.

Before I saw the OOC thread, I was going to go in and delete from the end of the post to the point where Cuthwin did his first independent thing as a character.

I still will if you like.

Let me know.

No, it's absolutely okay. I like this narrative. And besides, you didn't do anything that I wouldn't have.

That's good, because, dufus that I am, I wrote that post before I checked the IC thread and found that things had moved on to the point where I couldn't undo them.

Hi I wrote this for the roleplay and you you like the application. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask and I am willing to change stuff if you

I wrote a lot of the history of this house as something of a legends that has passed down the ages that no one can verify as a truth. As such most of the supernatural events that are mentioned should be taken with a grain of salt.

Name of House: House Ashwood
Holdings: Their castle Forest Watch and the surrounding towns of Greenleaf and Misty Spring located in the forest known as the Old Woods as well as numerous small villages that exist benath the canopy.

Holding Descriptions: Their holdings are located in a forest known as the Old Woods which they claim as their domain, located on the border between the Heartlands and the Northern Marches, due to the age of the forest and as such the area is very thickly overgrown with very difficult to pass through unless you use some of the few roads maintaned by the locals or know some of the secret paths used by the foresters and huntsmen. Their castle is mainly built using lumber harvested from the wood and using magic to enhance it increasing it's resistance towards normal wear and tear. Most of the castle is meant to support their archers and provide defensive firing positions

Greenleaf is a small town located close to the castle of Forest Watch in which most of the population resides. As it lies in the forest it has maintained a road through which it conducts trade and obtains supplies they can't produce locally such as grains which they have a hard time growing in the forest. To produce most of their food in the forest they have produced a invention they guard. Instead of clearing large areas for growing crops they have created something they call a “food forest”. A food forest is basically a way in which you grow trees and plants in such a way that the create a forest in which most of the plants can be used for food such as planting fruit trees combined with edible bushes and roots that can thrive in the shade.

This invention is the most closely guarded secret that the locals of the Old Woods as most people wouldn't know about it unless they knew where to look.

Misty Springs is located a hour from the castle and town and is located on a river that runs through the forest and contains a decent fish population that migrates through the river and provides a decent food source for the population which they dry and sell to Greenleaf and Forest Watch.

Titles: Warden of the Forest (Jathnas Ashwood)
High Ranger (Orden Ashwood)
Forest Speaker (Alisana Ashwood)

Members of Family: Jathnas Ashwood, Head of the family.
Orden Ashwood Heir apparent.
Alisana Ashwood, High Priest and resident mage.

History: House Ashwood story is a old one in which most of it has been lost to memory and all that remains are old tales told from parent to child and only remains in the old songs sung by the hearts and camp fires. What is told is that centuries ago there was a small and unassuming town whose name has been lost to time. One beautiful day the town was attacked by a dragon whose flaming breath destroyed all the buildings and killed untold numbers of people until it laid itself to rest in the smoldering ruins while feasting on the roasted animals and humans. In panic the surviving people hid in the nearby forest and built a small suriving that was terrified of the dragon that they knew lurked just outside of the forest as they could at night hear its roar and hear the sound of its wings beating in the air as it rose into the sky to return back to the ruined village.

Feeling trapped by the dragon the people resigned themselves into hiding in the forest until it left. Days turned into weeks and weeks into months. The dragon was forever waiting nearby or flying over the forest. Despairing a young forrester by the name of Artaos rallied his people and told them that they were to weak to fight the dragon, but that they should not see the forest as a prison, but rather as a new start for them and maybe someday they could be strong enough to slay the dragon. The people spurred by this tasked devoted themselves to becoming stronger and to slay this beast. Months passed into years as the people became accustomed to the forest becoming sustaining themselves using newly trained hunting skills and foraging the woods for food and materials.

What happened next in the story is where the details get hazy as now one knows the exact truth. The legends says that in his third decade of his rule Artaos proclaimed that they would strike against the dragon with all their might to avenge their fallen kin. As they struck against the dragon with arrows, axes and spears the managed to cripple its wings before it could awake from its slumber.

The dragon furious at the humans daring to attack it and started spewing it's fire at the people as they ran back into the forest. Artaos fell to his knees as the forest started burning and prayed to all the gods and spirits of world to protect them. As if hearing him the forest extended it branches infront of the fires and absorbed it lighting them on fire in return. Protected by the now burning trees Artaos rallied his people for a counterstrike against the dragon.

Artaos fired a arrow from his bow that penetrated the dragons eye causing it to flail around and providing time for the archers to riddle it with arrows until it died.

After the battle the people felt indebted to the forest for it's protection and asked what they should do and looked to Artaos for guidance and saw that he had changed and become something more than a human. His eyes had taken a forest green colour that almost seemed to glow and that his body was riddled with veins that looked like roots and spoke with a voice that was full with the wisdom of ages. Proclaiming that in return for protecting the people the forest wanted the people to protect it, in return it would provide food and a home for them. Most people accepted and in return was changed by the forest giving them green eyes and brown root like veins over their bodies. Artoas was given the name Ashwood by his people in recognition of the burned forest that he promised they would heal to keep their promise.

Two decades later Artaos died of old age and his son was named the new Warden of the Forest continued the dynasty of Ashwood as the sacred rulers of the Old Woods. As time passed the people became more homestead in the forest and started trading with the people that lived nearby on the sole condition that the forest wasn't harvested without their permission.

As time a local lord felt annoyed by this settlement in the forest that didn't pay taxes to him and decided it was time to subjugate them and rallied a few of his closest lords and sent them into the forest along with some troops. What happened to them is unknown to this day, but they were never seen again. The lord became furious at these simple forest-dwellers and contacted the king and told him that there was rebellion formenting in his domains. The king sent military aid to the lord alongside one of his trusted advisors. Too eager to await his promised aid the lord launched a full scale attack as the advisor was setting up the military encampment of the royal army.

The lords army rushed into the forest and over the few hours sounds of battle and screams could be heard as people were dying within the dark boughs. Hours later scattered groups of soldier ran out of the forest claiming that the forest had attacked them. After them arrived a group of eight wooden armored archers carrying the body of the lord on a litter with grace handing it to the royal advisor. They pleaded with the advisor that they had no interest in fighting with anyone and just wanted to keep their forest to themselves and would serve the king with the full loyalty and pay taxes to him in return for the protecting the forest and the northern borders of the Heartland.

Amused by this quaint tribe the king extended his mercy and made the dynasty of Ashwood a proper house registered by the scholars in the capital.

Culture: As a house the Ashwoods are honest to a fault and stubbornly protect the forest as a part of their divine mission. As such they place a lot of resources on their military and have a semi-professional force of archers and scouts in their employ-

The people maintain a pagan religion in which they worship the forest as a god and the trees themselves as imbued with spirits that need to be venerated to maintain otherwise the humans will lose their blessings.

A important part of their culture is the existence of the Mark as the call it. The mark appears as green eyes that almost seem to glow in the dark and veins colored like roots across the body and is seen as sign of the people being blessed by the forest. Humans born with more pronounced marks are deemed as chosen by the forest and are often giving positions of authority.

As a society the are stuck somewhere in between a hunter-gatherer society with some agricultural elements. As the forest lacks the area to grow large crops the people have created groves of fruit trees, edible roots and nuts and other vegetation without requiring the leveling of entire areas of the forest. However this also is a very insufficient food source and as such they struggle to maintain large granaries and can atmost store food for a month or two before they would starve to death. As such they try to avoid sieges in the forest and rely on hit and run tactics and disrupting enemy logistics as they try to enter the forest.

Allegiance/Liege: The Heartlands and the king.
Heraldry: A white/grey tree with a green sapling sprouting from the roots on a background of red.
Head of Family: Jathnas Ashwood
Capital: Forest Watch and Greenleaf
Head of Family Bio: Jathnas Ashwood is the current head of the house. As a person he is generally kind towards his subjects and sees them as his extended family that he cares for as if he knew each of the personally however. As much as he loves his people he is fanatically devoted to the forest and the ancient promise between the monarchy and his ancestors and as such will provide any aid to them as long as the king will allow his family to keep the forest as their domain.

Further his relation with his two children is strained with his two children who sees his devotion as source of conflict with their neighbours and wish instead they could remain more neutral in the conflict.

As the Warden of the Forest he is also the main commander of his forces while at war while his son as the High Ranger is responsible for the day to day protection of the forest and its border.

Other Family Member Bios: Will update later.

As of late, I have decided that it is in my best interest to no longer participate in this roleplay, and request that no further mention of my characters be made.
What is on my nation's front page does not reflect my nation in rp. It follows its own distinct lore that is separate from what is defined by the "issues" choices.

Since Mackjaracotavaon has dropped out of the RP, I'm in a pickle on what to do with Sister Margaret. Any ideas?

Ideas:

1) Assign the character to someone else

2) Make her a "silent character," seen but not heard, never directly interacted with

This should by no means be an exhaustive list. Others are encouraged to contribute.

I'm planning on making an app, so I could just take control of the sister.

You can't. I requested no further mention of my characters, and I now ask that they be retconned out of the rp.

I would like the opportunity to mention a few characters as Damnage wipes out the slave camp, particularly the leader of the camp.

I will not specify their final dispositions, if this is allowed.

I kind of need to mention them. Since, at least Sister Margaret, has been interacted with. I will most likely just kill off Margaret, and the privateer could just be talking to a different ship.

Yes. Monsieur Victor was just a name I made up to make an unreasonably evil character.
