Most major Nigerian businesses expanded into Ghana, Kenya and Uganda following the disastrous war as local Lebanese and Indian population in Sub-Saharan Africa were mostly exterminated. They also bought property owned by dead people in Nigeria. For example Jess's brother, Jack Udene, bought Eko Atlantic since the Lebanese owners perished due to Israeli attacks. Jess was going to start a new company in Kenya after purchasing several department stores. Joseph Ijeawele had bought 3 chemical plants in Kenya. William Igwebuike bought 6.

A military presence had been established in Paris and near the Israeli embassy. The Madossan Army is a very considerable force, consisting of 500,000 volunteers that have some of the best training in the world, and, in addition, the Army is mostly a mechanized force, with around 5,500 tanks and many, many more armored vehicles, including APCs, SPGs, and more.

We managed to effectively utilize our Strategic Missile Defense systems (a collection of SAMs, Laser Cannons, and other systems) to destroy most every missile, due to the fact that Israel had severely hindered capabilities to hit Europe. Only the Balearic Islands, Murcia, and Zaragoza were destroyed, due to a lack of coverage or too slow a response from these systems.

Minutes after these missiles launched, and their locations determined, a platoon of the Armed Forces stormed the Israeli embassy, just barely saving Paris (the man shot dead had his hand a few centimeters away from the button!)

What almost caused the destruction of Madossa was the plague.

When news of the biological weapons spreading a huge new plague against Asia, almost immediately, similarly to its neighbors, Madossa closed their borders.

The disease got in anyway.

Millions died, and millions more became infected. Panic overcame all of Madossa. A mass exodus out of the cities spread all across Madossa. Filth, pestilence, destitution, and despair begotten the less fortunate. The disease surged across Madossa.

For a short amount of time, Paris was filled with nothing but empty and bleak street corners, newspapers with headlines of despair, and the corpses and welter of all those who fell victim to that particular Horseman of the Apocalypse.

The government tried all it could, but was practically on the brink of collapse. The military stowed themselves on ships and embarked out to sea, saving the 500,000 servicemen, equipment, and even more reserves. The Prime Minister and the rest of the Parliament fled Paris, and commanded the country for a while offshore.

What it took was a mass effort by the nation's scientists and a miraculous discovery by a couple of doctors to develop a vaccine.

The virus had a similar enough structure and physiology to the Influenza A virus Subtype H1N1, and functioned enough in the same way (spread mainly in avians) that a vaccine similar to the one developed to combat the Spanish Flu would be able to make a person immune for a few years.

Almost immediately, the discovery of the vaccine was heard around the world, will multiple countries collaborating with Madossan scientists to develop the proper facilities to produce them.

Granted, I'm going to have to do a large time jump backwards to do this all, but that's because of inactivity.

Cool! At least you saved Paris. We didn't save any capital despite a low casualty rate of 8.6% because we didn't enter any Israeli mission due to International Law. That is, we were solely harmed by Israeli exploit of our own niceness.

Spokane: After reading your IC post, I just wanted to point out that communism isn't quite the same as socialism, since you seem to use the two words interchangeably. I think there is some confusion due to the fact that the USSR and its allies were nominally both socialist and communist. Socialism is the idea that private enterprise is immoral and thus the economy and all public services must be run by the state; it's the opposite of capitalism. Communism is the idea that all citizens are equal and, among other things, should have the same rights and the same earnings.

Yes. Also ethnobioweapons. Since we assumed that you guys continued to exist you should probably post something like.."Anti-bioweapon Samsung X-60 membranes were used and Sejong Defense System were activated. Hence we only lost Seoul. East Kekistani drones then cleaned the air up while citizens stayed in shelters manufactured by SK Group. Overall we lost a significant part of Greater Seoul but thankfully nowhere else. The final death rate is about 7.6%. The gov has relocated to Busan / Pyongyang".

Our main concerns:

1. The chaos in formerly Indonesian West Papua and Papua provinces that had spread to other areas with a large mixed Austronesian-Melanesian/Papuan presence such as Timor and Papua New Guinea. The govs of Papua New Guinea and East Timor had both asked East Kekistan for assistance so we were assisting them with our robots.

2. Reunion, Seychelles, Mauritius and other islands in East Africa that became completely chaotic after the attack as the non-black upper and middle class got largely exterminated. Also Kenya and Uganda. We are coordinating with Jessica Udene and her friends to keep East Africa functional.

3. Similar phenomenon in Oceania outside Australia and New Zealand. We would like to ask Madossa whether they control French Polynesia and New Caledonia at all. If not these places are likely in complete chaos.
