At approximately 1:30 PM Korhal standard, Emperor Mengsk was murdered in cold blood by renegades Jim Raynor and Sarah Kerrigan, this was part of the insurrection which Raynor had started after the coronation of Arcturus Mengsk, and has been going on for four years.
