As Runa demonstrated his abilities, Iarocav nodded with a small smile. This is exactly what they needed.
"Now, may we depart, soon?" Runa asked, after explaining how the process worked.
"Of course. Just as soon as the-"
"The shuttle is ready to go, sir!" A lieutenant reported right at that moment.
"Excellent," Iarocav replied. "Let's get going." He felt a sense of foreboding, but then again, he felt that ever since the news of this strange anomaly broke. He quickly led the group of leaders down a corridor and to the entryway of the shuttle. Once they were all inside, the hatch closed and the ship was launched towards the massive alien ship.
"Okay, so my plan is to basically comply. We don't know anything about them and I'm hoping they don't know anything about us," Iarocav began to explain. He took a deep breath. "Listen, I didn't want to say this on the bridge because it would've looked bad in front of the whole crew, but I'm quite nervous about this. We could be getting into way over our head. Just, let's try to remember how to get back to whatever hangar this ship ends up going to, in case we need to make a run for it."
