As summer warms up the capital city of Svitka, president Glidslit was briefed on the unlawful invasion of Mellitala by Zamanae forces by the Defense Minister. Shocked at the unlawful and unwarranted aggression of Zamanaen forces, the president decided to act. Conferring with IDF Central Command and the Defense Minister, the president decided to send a small task force of troops to assist Mellitala. The 1st Fleet, which was located near the islands during routine training exercises was ordered to set sail for the troubled islands to provide assistance. An official communique has been sent to the Mellitalan royal government:

Imperialism has no place in contemporary society and Zamanaean aggression towards your people is no excuse for a 'buffer zone'. 1st fleet, Bridge of SNS Svitka

Admiral Chtovsky and his fleet approach Mellitalan territorial waters, radar lit up exposing the positions of foreign vessels surrounding the islands. He turns the fleet directly before entering Mellitalan territorial waters, awaiting orders to proceed. He prepares his fleet for combat, ordering his sailors to battle stations. Armed Svitkan aircraft take off from the carrier performing combat patrol duties, respecting Mellitalan airspace while ships' weapons systems are armed and loaded. The submarine SNS Beluga is ordered to proceed into an attack position ahead of the fleet while running on strict orders to remain quiet, observing Zamanaean fleet movements.

OOC: I would recommend to the OP that a creation of an Out of Character (OOC) forum be established to be used for out of character comments and problem resolutions, to keep in character posts free of OOC spam. I would also recommend that maps be created to be used to identify troop/fleet locations to make troop movements and battle locations easier to plan and observe.

The Fleet Advances

After observing the intense build up of military operations of the smaller island, Commodore Chtovsky orders his fleet to proceed, lacking formal authorization to do so. An official communique has been sent from Svitka to Defense command and the president's office which read:

"The Mellitalan government has yet to respond, possibly due to a breakdown of communications. I am advancing, fleet prepared for defense. Will not fire until fired upon."

Once the fleet enters Mellitalan territorial waters, communication traffic ceases. Three helicopters take off from the carrier, two escorting a transport helicopter, with a military detachment to land at Mellitalan international airport to establish contact with the government. Flying low, they approach the airfield and request to land.

SNS Beluga
Commander Yeltsin had his sub prepared for combat long before setting up a perfect attack position ahead of the fleet. Shadowing the Zamanaean Fleet off the North East Coast of the country, he orders his submarine to load supercavitating torpedoes and cruise missiles and identified targets within the hostile fleet, focusing on capital ships and aircraft carriers. Currently undetected, he orders his submarine in complete silence while keeping the official command channel open, awaiting the signal to stand down or attack. His crew anxiously await orders.

While moving forward, Chtovsky dispatches an official communique to the Zamanaean fleet and other military commanders:

"Members of the Zamanaean Military Forces, this is Commodore Chtovsky of the Island Defense Forces of the Commonwealth of Svitka. We wish to inform you that your nation is violating the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Mellitala through unwarranted acts of aggression. This has not gone unnoticed by the international community. We warn you that any acts of aggression towards our military forces will be met with brutal and unrelenting force and will be considered an act of war against the commonwealth. We strongly urge your forces to return back to your shores at once or face the consequences."

Svitka awaits the response of Zamanaean fleet.

Svitka Island
The office of the president approves sending more military aid to Mellitala. This aid package includes 30 new SAM systems, 5 attack helicopters, 10 Puma tanks, and around 20,000 small arms, transported via container ship. The supplies will arrive soon.

The Svikan special forces, Yeti Force, has been activated and ~350 troops will be deployed to the island to train and advise Mellitalan land forces. These forces will be air dropped in, arriving in a few hours.

Southern Gonzo Island

After taking off early in the morning from Southern Svitka, the IDF planes carrying Yeti Force and their equipment were parachuted on the southern portion of Gonzo island. Before they jumped, yeti soldiers removed any markings of Svitka off their uniform and replaced them with Mellitalan military identifications. Once they landed and acquired their equipment, they formed a loose convoy and quickly arrived at Ghajnsielem. On their way, they encountered frightened refugees heading southwards with their belongings. Some Yeti soldiers briefly stopped, providing first aid to wounded civilians.

Sporadic gunfire was heard as Yeti Force neared the town with the occasional mortar shell impacting the town's vicinity. Commander Trovich led the convoy and greeted Mellitalan troops as Svitkan forces entered the town. Once they were in the town, Tovich entered the local command post and greeted Niceforo:

"Afternoon commander Niceforo, Yeti force is here to help. Although this informal meeting marks the first diplomatic correspondence between our two nations, we hope the love of freedom from oppression will unite our people together. Where do you need my forces deployed and whats the current strength of Zamanaean forces on and around Gonzo?"
