Former emperor Suleiman I, now very frail and abdicated, enters his old command central on the fringes of the former imperial capital of Union Central, now deserted and devastated to a fraction of it's grand former self. The room is rundown, abandoned after the civil war that shook the empire during the war. Papers of old, old plans and strategies from however long ago, like one can imagine how long ago 500 years is, and emblems and medals of bygone generals and their armies. He remembers his campaigns in Africa and Ethiopia fighting the enemies of his days and those days of glory he had, but those days were 20 years ago. Now he can do nothing here but recall those days. Oh what fun he had!
Now it is 1931, and he heard that the military is planning another "genius" plan like last time. This time with former knowledge of the pains it suffered. Inside Pasargadae, the new imperial capital, Emperor John Hansa-Ishm I is collaborating with the army on what plans it has now. If only Suleiman was able to peer in closer to the plans, but he is very old now, 97 years old. He also happened to hear about a new iteration of the flawed MFa-01 heavy bomber airplane. Apparently it has 17,000 kilograms of cargo weight capacity for what ever they plan to do with it.
In the vast expanses of the halls of Iterium Palace, local leaders in Western Europe and Finland have come to meet to discuss possible trade negotiations and solutions to problems. They try to not mention the word "napkin" when the emperor is around because he haas done some crazy and irrational decisions in the one year he's been emperor. Though the elephant in the room is the flames of tension surrounding Finland.

President José Lopez is sitting in his office doing paperwork when his Secretary of Defense Mario Martí walks in. Mario hand over a folder containing the readiness report of the Gran-Columbian Defence Force. The president reads the report for a few minutes when a smile appear on his face and says, "This is good Mario. Send a message to the leader of the Argentine Federation about a possible military and economic alliance and the possibility of splitting Brazil between our two nations. Together, we can South America safe."

Mario answers, " As you wish Senór Presidenté."

To the leader of the Argentine Federation

We request a meeting between our two leaders in Lima to discuss a possible military and economic alliance between our two nations. We will also discuss various other issues when we meet. Together we can keep South America safe. We await your reply.

Finally I have a place to work now to work and start managing this and time to also send some militias to Baja California and occupie them and secure Yucatan to avoid problems and it Is Time to also recruit one paramilitar organization to capture Guatemala but I will pin down my claims and im gonna contact the Colombian goverment to avoid problems with them and to avoid conflicts of interest but i will contact them tomorrow

In Bogata, President Lopez is in his office when an aide walks holding a letter from Tyler Capco,leader of the Argentine Confederation. The president reads the reply and smiles before order that plane be made for a trip to Lima.
-An hour later-

President Lopez boards the DC-3 and sits in his seat before telling the pilot he is reay to go. The DC-3 takes off before turning to a heading that puts them on direct course for Lima.

The Mexican Militias
I am ready to make the militias advance into the Yucatan Peninsula and some small group into Baja California and also Alfredo traeme un cafe!... what was I doing oh yeah... first of all i need to open mines in the recently captured territories and make legitimate my government and contact the colonial government in the rest of Mexico specially since they could be a problem and they have territories that interest me... drinks coffee ok now i am going to give a speech outside.

All remains silent, until the Queen's messenger comes back with interesting reports from our embassies abroad. Rumor has it that the Mexican Conglomerate of Corporations and Gran Columbia are enacting declarations of an alliance. Also, the Mexican CEOs are planning to acquire all of the Austrian colony of Mexico, through economic means, possibly even militarily.
After reading these reports, Queen Kristina decides to send the entire armed forces, prepared or totally not, a total of approximately 250,000 soldiers from Sweden and Norway to crush rebellious little Norway, maybe after that, they may go out to Finland, but after being degraded in size and power, and the truly horrific death tolls, especially those inflicted on us, we may not do that. Also, she decides to try and pick up an alliance with those Austrians or maybe with Gran Columbia for whatever ambitions we may have.

Joseph Kramer coughed up a small mouthful of blood. With nowhere to spit, he swallowed it, gagging at the awful taste. He heard a knock at his bedroom door. He restrained another cough, then answered.

"Enter, comrade," Kramer said, causing another bout of coughing. This time, luckily, there wasn't any blood.

The door opened to reveal a lean man in his late twenties, with a clean shaven face and an immaculate grey suit. Fabyus Tycho. Kramer tried to keep his sigh of disappointment to himself. Ever since Tycho had taken over his care, Kramer hadn't seen his wife or kids. It'd been a few weeks. Kramer asked Tycho about it whenever the opportunity came up, but the man claimed that his family never came for visits. Kramer didn't trust Tycho farther than he could throw him. Sadly, Kramer couldn't even throw a softball in his current condition.

"First Comrade," Tycho said, bowing his head in respect. Kramer remembered a time when Tycho would bow at the waist, to the point that Kramer had to remind the man of their newfound equality. Back when Kramer was respected, when he was feared.

"I was just checking to see how you were doing," Tycho said, an insincere smile drifting across his face. Kramer did his best to scowl.

"What news of the outside world?" Kramer asked, his fists clenching underneath his bedsheets.

"Nothing interesting," Tycho answered, brushing the question aside. "But you need your rest. Goodbye."

The door was shut before Kramer could respond. He sank back into his bed, breathing heavily. Tycho was dangerous; exactly the imperialist exploiter that Kramer fought back in the day. When he was stronger, then Tycho would pay...

The Great Industrialisation-New Society Combined Programmes

Charles Perot, as provisional leader for the next 2-5 years, has decided to begin a programme of mass industrialisation. There are several steps to the plan, and it will be funded with the equivalent of $20 billion ($322 billion today), making it extremely risky, but worth it:

Step 1: Current mines will be upgraded and modernised with new equipment, along with increased safety standards, in order to increase productivity. Hours have been reduced from 84 hours a week to 40 hours a week, which not only increased the amount of jobs, but also the productivity of each worker. New factories and mines will be set up in order to further increase productivity. Large-scale subsidies will also be put in place to increase standards of production, allowing for higher prices in the international market. Coal, oil, lead, iron and bauxite will be the top 5 priorities for mining, along with rewards for gold, silver and diamonds in order to be sold in the international market or be fabricated into money.

Step 2: With the new capital produced in step 1, a military-industrial complex will begin to build. The army will become bolstered with new R&D and training facilities, plus extra resources from step 1. This will allow us to build a large war machine capable of waging war with little economic effect - or better yet, economic stimulus. This will allow us to militarily compete with nations stronger than us - perhaps even the Mousetrap Empire if things go well. This will increase our economic influence and allow us to become a superpower. But with all this industry and military might, requires the ability to feed our people. This is where step 3 comes in.

Step 3: With all the new cash minerals (gold, silver, diamonds, etc..), cash crop farming will cease and mass production of rice and potatoes will begin as staple foods, as they are more efficient than wheat. Food exports will be cut down, instead a 'great stockpile' of food will be built in case of famine or drought. A major shift in diet will occur, as game prey, elephants and beef will start to make a large proportion of the African diet, along with the previously mentioned rice and potatoes. Urban farming will also be promoted, as the "New Society" will be promoted. Once this step is reached, a stable, strong society has been reached. Now it's time to make society a better place for the average person.

Step 4: The New Society programme finally begins. Africa shall become a continent on par with Europe, perhaps even better. Cultural barriers between languages will be torn down, with a new language being created (currently being drafted) known as African, which is a mix of native languages along with 'new' elements placed in to make the language easier to use and learn. The language will be taught in school, along with "Foreign Languages" (to integrate it into the world) and whatever the local language is. Education will be reformed, as 'socialist education', which focuses more on the liberal arts and the sciences, along with a decentralised approach to learning which is adapted for the students. Psychologists will focus more on helping people reshape their personality rather than molding them and 'curing disorders'. Prisons will be reformed, focusing on rehabilitation rather than punishment. Architecture will focus on glass and steel buildings, along with ones which represent artistry rather than just boxes. Surrealism and postmodernism will be promoted as the art movement of Africa, co-opted to the local culture. Film, television and literature will shift towards cerebral, iconoclastic stories rather than comedic and light-hearted ones. Within 20 years, there shall be a new society. Once it is all finished, there shall be a socialist utopia.

"I want five more factories in the capital," Tycho told his economic advisers. "Concentrate on arms manufacturing and other heavy industries. Retail can come later. Right now we need to rebuild our military."

Then, Tycho turned to his aging Foreign Affairs Minister. The man had been elected under Kramer; he'd go sooner or later, but for the moment he was competent enough.

"Send the telegram," he said. The minister nodded, then rushed to obey the First Comrade's commands.

"The Telegram, Gottensburg. New factories erected with ground-breaking emissions cleansing, three new corps to be formed by end of August"
"Stockholm Tribune. Annual coronations of royals has happened! New shop for getting your personal nyckelharpa opened in city center. Commissioning of over 140 new battleships, 300 transports, and 3 aircraft carriers ordered"
"Aland Central Newspaper. New boats of war ordered to be built immediately, local fishermen upset about order"

Kristiania, Norway
General Jacob looks to the field, currently battling General Ibsen. He seems to be unnerved about the navy's idleness, but he is trying to envelop rebel forces inside his army and crush them absolutely. However, all isn't going to plan, his forces are sustaining severe losses and rebel forces seem to be trying to circle him around the flanks, but there is no way that can happen. The feared cavalry from northern Sweden and leftovers from Poland are holding at bay with fury. But he has already lost 50 thousand troops in the span of this 4 hour battle. Then, he hears a plane whizzing by. Seconds late, he hears a deafening explosion and ringing in his ears. He slowly begins to lose his sight and eventually consciousness.
