It's my third day on the M.S. Marie Curie. I'm only 24, and this is getting real stressful. I'm not real happy about coming along on this mission. I've seen the TV recently, with the absolute bloodbath in Spokane. 46,000 casualties is... well, holy shit. That general was incompetent enough to lose almost the entire force in Madossa before the fight, I'm so glad he was hung for it. I'm still going to need to wipe my memory clean of all the videos and photos... whew.
All I can hope is that all goes well.

I mentally slapped Gajsek in annoyance when he started playing to the Camera, democratically elected politicians always seem to be so damn full of themselves. Especially when they don't even dress for the occasion.
It only got worse when he picked up the bag of Doritos and mentioned his favourite flavour, is this conference a running advertising service now? Is this the peak of his career?
To save face I gave a small smile when responding. "Very well, First Minister. It is a pleasure to finally meet you and I am pleased that the Semparian government has agreed to host this historic meeting within its embassy in the Raj." her tone when speaking is practically dripping with confidence. "But let us get to the business at hand, as we have much to discuss."
Gajsek didn't let his smile go, and instead returned his attention to the Viceroy and inclined his head. He kept his sigh of disappointment to himself.
Exactly what I'd feared... she's far too rigid to do anything drastic, he thought.
"Of course," Gajsek said, taking a manila folder from one of his secretaries and sliding it across the table. Viceroy Curzon looked at it with something approaching curiosity.
"We retrieved these documents from a terrorist safehouse some time ago, perhaps a few days before the nuclear meltdown," Gajsek explained. "It hints at foreign supply and support for both the Black Flag and the Fallen Angels. It also coincided with your initial, and extensive, involvement in northern Spokane. The timing made it suspicious, prompting us to send agents to ascertain whether this was the case. On behalf of the Rhyssuan government, I hereby apologize for this deception. At the time, we had reasonable cause to believe that you either created these terrorist cells or were secretly supplying them. The documents have since been proven to be false."
The whole time, Gajsek kept a slight smile, to show how "polite and civilized" he was being. With any luck, she'd make a concession or apology of her own. If not... well, they'd get to that eventually.
Gajsek could practically hear Lukan fuming from a thousand miles away.

I laid back in my chair slightly as Gajsek spoke. These claims had already been made by other nations quite a few times now, it seems oddly suspicious. "Yes, it would have been quite strange for me to fund the separatists within Spokane while at the same time sending the largest assembled army in the region to crush them." I pause for a moment. "However, my primary concern is the war with Madossa, why does your government support the Madossan's so fervently even though they attacked us?"

High-Eye 1a flew over the Earth's horizon.
A thin, blanket-like, layer of a blue haze enveloped the globe, with wisps of white clouds floating delicately within, almost like a plate of Jello. The satellite's view was extraordinary, showing the brilliant blues of the Atlantic and Indian Ocean, with the jade rain forests of Africa showing through past the white fluff of clouds.
This view, to most people, would reflect the beauty, and fragility of our planet. That the survival of all the worlds peoples, depends on our ability to coexist in peace.
However, this satellite would not reflect that viewpoint.
The external camera inboard zoomed in, as far as it could, on what would appear to be an irrelevant portion of sea, just off the coast of South Africa. It snapped multiple pictures, and then transmitted it back home.
Back at home, the transmitter saw what most in Madossa had feared- a large fleet of ships, probably from the Raj.
Reports from submarines confirmed this.
"Ey, capt'n, what do you want to do?"
General Rosen Carthy pondered the evidence of the fleet.
After a minute, he dictated what to do
"Well," He paused for a second. "Well, don't engage them directly, instead, launch the new cruise missiles from our military base in Côte d'Ivoire."
"Which ones? The Intercontinental Attack Missiles?"
"Erm, yeah."
The officer was dismissed, and the general was left to his own thoughts.
At the launch pad, the missile flew up, a cloud of billowing smoke trailing it. All of a sudden, it tipped down and soared parallel to the ground.
Soon, other missiles did the same.
Time would tell if these would hamper the enemy fleet.

Before I had a chance to reply to Gajsek an aide walked into the room. She was dressed in a sharp black business suit and walked to my side of the table. She leaned over and whispered to me. "Viceroy, the Madossan's have sunk one of our destroyers with a cruise missile strike." she then hands me a report and leaves the room.
I quickly read the report silently and it detailed then entire incident. I scowl slightly, they will pay for that.
Speaking up I turn to Gajsek and I speak coldly. "The Madossan's have attacked one of my fleets with cruise missiles and sunk a destroyer...it seems your discouragement of them attacking has failed." The Viceroy gets up from her chair. "So, I will replace the Raj's inaction with action." she then strides out of the room. Once she leaves the room she talks to the aide.
Her orders are clear. A missile barrage of over one thousand long range tomahawk missiles are to be launched from the Raj defence system and are to annihilate the coastline defences and military, production and all government installations (this includes parliament and any other government building) across Madossa while the fleet under Admiral Tyndall aboard the Vanguard (which is the closest fleet to the area) will be ordered begin a full bombardment of the area soon after with missiles and gunfire. 40 upgraded B52 lancers with 180 F-22 fighter escorts will also begin bombing targets along the coastline and inland from high altitude, the Lancers are equipped with miniaturised anti-missile laser weaponry to minimise losses. They will also have with them enough refuelling aircraft for the attack and 3 Raytheon Sentinels to provide extensive radar coverage.
The Aide, nodding and bowing then dispatches the orders and the operation began.
The Viceroy walks back into the conference room and sits down to the seemingly shocked First Minister. Speaking she says calmly "Shall we continue?"

Vice Admiral Hornblower, RRNS Conqueror:
"All hands man your action stations! This is not a drill!" The Action stations alarm was blaring on the bridge as crew rushed to their stations.
The radar was tracking multiple ICBM's heading right for us. "Guns! I want a firing solution on all targets, target them with the AN/SEQ-7's, RIM-116's and CIWS."
The gunnery officer yells out "Yes sir! Firing in 30 seconds!" I call out to the helm. "Helm! Bring us to full speed!" the helm officer nods and the battleship begins to accelerate.
Once the missiles get into firing range a massive barrage of RIM missiles begin to open up and the laser weaponry began swatting the cruise missiles out of the sky. 20,17,13,6,3 as the final 3 missiles get into close range the CIWS opened up destroying all but one of the missiles in time.
The lone missile slams into an Arleigh burke destroyer RRNS Royalist and rips a hole in the port side, the ship instantly looses power to all systems as the missile had destroyed the engineering sections of the ship and the ship began to uncontrollably flood. Within 5 minutes the ship sinks under the waves, only half of the crew survived.

General Rosen Carthy had just received a top secret order from the Raj to basically annihilate the Federation of Madossa.
Those bastards. We're gonna make 'em pay.
At the launch pad, again, another NGF-2 missile launched.
And another.
And another.
A large amount of supersonic cruise missiles roared over the horizon, straight at the enemy fleet.
Meanwhile, in cities in Madossa, Martial Law was declared. Mobile Sams and tank drove through the winding streets, finding as best a position they could muster.
Meanwhile, the entire Madossan Navy, including the 4 carrier groups, protected Madossan waters.

"Oh, those bastards," Vaern Lisce muttered.
"What can we do? They've sent a thousand missiles towards us."
"They want to destroy us? Then so be it.
I am afraid to do this in fear of retaliation, but we shall do it. Tell the nuclear submarines monitoring the Raj fleet to launch a nuclear-tipped torpedo."
His advisers gulped.
"Are you sure about this?"
Vaern turned to face him.
"Yes."
Near the Raj Fleet
"Surfacing!"
"Systems in place!"
"Firing in 5.."
"4..."
"3..."
"2..."
"1..."
"FIRE!"
The torpedo soared through the ocean, and, reaching the middle of the fleet, detonated.
