10,000 men make it to Spokane's capital, with Dominicus at the helm, of course with a earpiece so he can still do diplomatic business. The soldiers hide to avoid attention and Dominicus Waiting outside the main building waiting for anyone of importance to open the door.

The machine assembled the chassis, stitching together the metal pieces.

It moved forward along the assembly line, being crafted, constructed, built.

The last machine placed the last sheet of composite armor.

An amazingly fast shift in Madossa had occurred, going from a consumer-based economy to a total-war one almost overnight. What the Raj had underestimated was Madossa's flexibility in their industry and military.

Madossa had long been a veteran of war, dating back to the French Revolutionary wars, when Madossa was born out of France and Spain in a union. Over the next few centuries, Madossa grew up in war, blood, and horror.

Madossan soldiers were on the front lines in the Crimean War

Madossa had held back the Germans during the Great War.

The Madossans accompanied the Brits and Yanks in taking back Paris in the Second World War.

Overall, Madossa was a large threat to those whom opposed it.

As such, a total mobilization began, with car factories building tanks and planes, with 3% of the population recruited into the armed forces (although this includes personnel there for logistics and sustainment,) and much, much more.

The High Seas, Somewhere in the North Atlantic

The admiral overlooked the carrier strike group around him.. there were quite a few ships around, including a guided missile cruiser (M.N. Notre Dame,) two anti-submarine destroyers (M.N. Barcelona and M.N. Monaco,) 3 destroyers (M.N. Vaern Lisce, M.N. Joan De Arc, and M.N. Tours,) and the aircraft carrier he was residing on (M.N. Marie Curie.) He blinked for a moment, and whilst smoking a cigarette, with the wisps of smoke being sucked into the ventilation shaft, he glanced over the bridge. All over, military men were running the ship.

Meanwhile, elsewhere on the ship, Pilot Toby O'Coffey was listening to the briefing officer with 7 other men, sitting by his side. Outside, an AWACS took off the deck.

"Right, chaps," the officer spoke, "We'll be bringing all you along to perform a scout mission near our military base, the Joan De Arc base, in Spokane. You are to patrol around it in a 250 kilometer area, including over water. You'll be flying with the NGF-2, and right now our crews are installing that new weapon system from Madossa. Aight, anyway, if you see any enemy fighters in that area, you're to radio it back to base, then engage."

One of the newer pilots uttered his concerns, "What if 'ey have a group of fighters? What then?"

"Yeah, you are not to engage, but radio back to base, and we'll sound the alarms, and that shall conclude this briefing."

The briefing officer dismissed them, and Toby wrote in his journal about the mission,

April 25th, 2055
It's my third day on the M.S. Marie Curie. I'm only 24, and this is getting real stressful. I'm not real happy about coming along on this mission. I've seen the TV recently, with the absolute bloodbath in Spokane. 46,000 casualties is... well, holy shit. That general was incompetent enough to lose almost the entire force in Madossa before the fight, I'm so glad he was hung for it. I'm still going to need to wipe my memory clean of all the videos and photos... whew.
All I can hope is that all goes well.
- Toby O'Coffey

I mentally slapped Gajsek in annoyance when he started playing to the Camera, democratically elected politicians always seem to be so damn full of themselves. Especially when they don't even dress for the occasion.
It only got worse when he picked up the bag of Doritos and mentioned his favourite flavour, is this conference a running advertising service now? Is this the peak of his career?
To save face I gave a small smile when responding. "Very well, First Minister. It is a pleasure to finally meet you and I am pleased that the Semparian government has agreed to host this historic meeting within its embassy in the Raj." her tone when speaking is practically dripping with confidence. "But let us get to the business at hand, as we have much to discuss."

Gajsek didn't let his smile go, and instead returned his attention to the Viceroy and inclined his head. He kept his sigh of disappointment to himself.
Exactly what I'd feared... she's far too rigid to do anything drastic, he thought.

"Of course," Gajsek said, taking a manila folder from one of his secretaries and sliding it across the table. Viceroy Curzon looked at it with something approaching curiosity.

"We retrieved these documents from a terrorist safehouse some time ago, perhaps a few days before the nuclear meltdown," Gajsek explained. "It hints at foreign supply and support for both the Black Flag and the Fallen Angels. It also coincided with your initial, and extensive, involvement in northern Spokane. The timing made it suspicious, prompting us to send agents to ascertain whether this was the case. On behalf of the Rhyssuan government, I hereby apologize for this deception. At the time, we had reasonable cause to believe that you either created these terrorist cells or were secretly supplying them. The documents have since been proven to be false."

The whole time, Gajsek kept a slight smile, to show how "polite and civilized" he was being. With any luck, she'd make a concession or apology of her own. If not... well, they'd get to that eventually.

Gajsek could practically hear Lukan fuming from a thousand miles away.

Elizabeth Curzon:
I laid back in my chair slightly as Gajsek spoke. These claims had already been made by other nations quite a few times now, it seems oddly suspicious. "Yes, it would have been quite strange for me to fund the separatists within Spokane while at the same time sending the largest assembled army in the region to crush them." I pause for a moment. "However, my primary concern is the war with Madossa, why does your government support the Madossan's so fervently even though they attacked us?"

Dominicus sends another commander to have control over the 10,000 men, so Dominicus can go home. Meanwhile his wife, Empress Sofia of Dominland, sits at a desk of advisers wondering when her husband with get back. "Empress Sofia, we need to talk about this civil war. We think there is a third aggressor on the side of the rebels." said the minister of industry. "Maybe, but we must focus on what we know. We don't want any war on to be declared on us... Yet." said Empress Sofia. "Why are we helping Spokane? Why not destroy both?" said the minister of war. " We need allies! if we are fighting alone then we will be crushed!" said Empress Sofia. "If Dominicus was here he would know what to do." thought Empress Sofia.

High-Eye 1a flew over the Earth's horizon.

A thin, blanket-like, layer of a blue haze enveloped the globe, with wisps of white clouds floating delicately within, almost like a plate of Jello. The satellite's view was extraordinary, showing the brilliant blues of the Atlantic and Indian Ocean, with the jade rain forests of Africa showing through past the white fluff of clouds.

This view, to most people, would reflect the beauty, and fragility of our planet. That the survival of all the worlds peoples, depends on our ability to coexist in peace.

However, this satellite would not reflect that viewpoint.

The external camera inboard zoomed in, as far as it could, on what would appear to be an irrelevant portion of sea, just off the coast of South Africa. It snapped multiple pictures, and then transmitted it back home.

Back at home, the transmitter saw what most in Madossa had feared- a large fleet of ships, probably from the Raj.
Reports from submarines confirmed this.

"Ey, capt'n, what do you want to do?"
General Rosen Carthy pondered the evidence of the fleet.
After a minute, he dictated what to do
"Well," He paused for a second. "Well, don't engage them directly, instead, launch the new cruise missiles from our military base in Côte d'Ivoire."
"Which ones? The Intercontinental Attack Missiles?"
"Erm, yeah."
The officer was dismissed, and the general was left to his own thoughts.

At the launch pad, the missile flew up, a cloud of billowing smoke trailing it. All of a sudden, it tipped down and soared parallel to the ground.

Soon, other missiles did the same.

Time would tell if these would hamper the enemy fleet.

Denis sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He'd been hoping to circumvent the topic, or avoid it altogether. However, that was no longer an option. He vaguely considered circling back to explain Rhyssua's reasoning behind their claims, but realized it was counterproductive.

"Remember," Strauss whispered, causing Gajsek to sit up a little straighter. He'd forgotten about the earpiece. "We won't assist them, but we will defend them. We can't hammer out anything here, however."

"I'd hardly call our support 'fervent'," Gajsek said, leaning back in his chair. "We've supplied no aid to them and never made a statement supporting them. My government was fully committed to this conference, and as such we discouraged Madossa from attacking."

Viceroy Curzon gave no visible reaction, so Gajsek continued.

"I believe it wouldn't be prudent to settle on a peace agreement without the Madossans present," he said, glancing at the camera. He wondered if anyone was watching it live. Then he turned back to the Viceroy.

"We'll do our best to discourage Madossa from attacking, and would advise you to refrain as well," he continued. "In the meantime, I'd like to discuss the treatment of our operatives. We'd be willing to... loosen our economic regulations concerning foreign companies for their safe return. We're one of the largest technology producers in the world," he added, smiling a little. He knew that he wasn't technically authorized to make this deal, but his first priority was getting his operatives home.

"It would be beneficial for both our nations," Gajsek added as an afterthought.

All around Madossa, the military was preparing for total war.

The first in a long series of Mobile SAMs rolled up near the coast. They were being positioned there, as the evidence of an attack fleet from the Raj was clear.

Time would tell if these would hamper the enemy fleet.

Vice Admiral Hornblower, RRNS Conqueror:

"All hands man your action stations! This is not a drill!" The Action stations alarm was blaring on the bridge as crew rushed to their stations.
The radar was tracking multiple ICBM's heading right for us. "Guns! I want a firing solution on all targets, target them with the AN/SEQ-7's, RIM-116's and CIWS."
The gunnery officer yells out "Yes sir! Firing in 30 seconds!" I call out to the helm. "Helm! Bring us to full speed!" the helm officer nods and the battleship begins to accelerate.

Once the missiles get into firing range a massive barrage of RIM missiles begin to open up and the laser weaponry began swatting the cruise missiles out of the sky. 20,17,13,6,3 as the final 3 missiles get into close range the CIWS opened up destroying all but one of the missiles in time.

The lone missile slams into an Arleigh burke destroyer RRNS Royalist and rips a hole in the port side, the ship instantly looses power to all systems as the missile had destroyed the engineering sections of the ship and the ship began to uncontrollably flood. Within 5 minutes the ship sinks under the waves, only half of the crew survived.

Elizabeth Curzon:
Before I had a chance to reply to Gajsek an aide walked into the room. She was dressed in a sharp black business suit and walked to my side of the table. She leaned over and whispered to me. "Viceroy, the Madossan's have sunk one of our destroyers with a cruise missile strike." she then hands me a report and leaves the room.
I quickly read the report silently and it detailed then entire incident. I scowl slightly, they will pay for that.
Speaking up I turn to Gajsek and I speak coldly. "The Madossan's have attacked one of my fleets with cruise missiles and sunk a destroyer...it seems your discouragement of them attacking has failed." The Viceroy gets up from her chair. "So, I will replace the Raj's inaction with action." she then strides out of the room. Once she leaves the room she talks to the aide.

Her orders are clear. A missile barrage of over one thousand long range tomahawk missiles are to be launched from the Raj defence system and are to annihilate the coastline defences and military, production and all government installations (this includes parliament and any other government building) across Madossa while the fleet under Admiral Tyndall aboard the Vanguard (which is the closest fleet to the area) will be ordered begin a full bombardment of the area soon after with missiles and gunfire. 40 upgraded B52 lancers with 180 F-22 fighter escorts will also begin bombing targets along the coastline and inland from high altitude, the Lancers are equipped with miniaturised anti-missile laser weaponry to minimise losses. They will also have with them enough refuelling aircraft for the attack and 3 Raytheon Sentinels to provide extensive radar coverage.

The Aide, nodding and bowing then dispatches the orders and the operation began.

The Viceroy walks back into the conference room and sits down to the seemingly shocked First Minister. Speaking she says calmly "Shall we continue?"

50 miles south of the Madossan fleet

2 submarines, a Richmond class SSN and a Mobile class SSGN, were silent moving though the water when both subs sonar pick up distant contacts 50 miles north of their nation. The captain of the Richmond sends a encrypted message to HQ about what to do. HQ sends a message back stating that both subs are to watch and observe the fleet. After receiving their orders, the 2 subs start heading north in order to observe the ships. After 12 hours, the two subs spread out and starts observing the Madossan warships from 15 miles out.

Holy Shit.

What do we do? What do we do? What do we do?

General Rosen Carthy had just received a top secret order from the Raj to basically annihilate the Federation of Madossa.

Those bastards. We're gonna make 'em pay.

At the launch pad, again, another NGF-2 missile launched.

And another.

And another.

A large amount of supersonic cruise missiles roared over the horizon, straight at the enemy fleet.

Meanwhile, in cities in Madossa, Martial Law was declared. Mobile Sams and tank drove through the winding streets, finding as best a position they could muster.

Meanwhile, the entire Madossan Navy, including the 4 carrier groups, protected Madossan waters.

Spokane joins in the fun!

Postby The Federation of Spokane » Sat Apr 27, 2019 10:33 am

9:00 am Spokane Time
King Harrison sat in his office, Crown Prince George next to him as the Secretary of War stood at the desk, filling in the two men on the situation. “And so...Raj hit them with missiles back.” The two men took a double take and then the Crown Prince spoke “Lauch them. With our highest quality non-marked missiles in the base in Renton.” (OOC: The non-marked missiles are the ones that do not carry or bear the Spokane flag on them. Renton is my puppet, and we have a really good relationship with them.) King Harrison agreed and then said “I advise you do as he says. Launch them at 6 pm, and ask the King of England to get here now.” The Secretary of War left, to do what had been asked.

Admiral Tyndall, RRNS Vanguard:

"Sir! RRNS Agrippa has taken a direct hit to her bridge and is falling out of formation!" I run over to the bridge window and I can see on the screens (since the armoured shields were down) huge amounts of smoke and fire coming from the Agrippa, she is slewing madly to port and is dropping out of formation. I yell "Maintain course and speed! How are the other ships doing?"

The officer replies "Agrippa, Ulysses, Churchill and Hades are out of action. Other ships are reporting various amounts of damage!" The Radar officer yells out "Sir! Our missiles are touching down now!" A cheer goes up on the bridge to which I yell "SILENCE! Continue on with your duties!" a missile slams into turret one exploding with a blinding flash that made the bridge officers wince and the ship judder. It was obvious the turret was not damaged but there was a large black stain on the paintwork. The DC officer calls out "Turret 1 is reporting no damage but are requesting that they be given a minute to catch their breath and change their pants." this causes me to chuckle slightly. "This should stop soon, our missile barrage has probably wiped out every SAM, military base and runway they have. Then our death or glory boys in the air force will have to finish off the rest...they should be beginning their attack runs by now." I walk over to the Admirals chair and sit down. "Order the Conqueror and the Warspite with their fleets to join us. This is going to be the decisive battle of the war and I intend on winning it." The communications officer responds. "Aye, aye, Sir."

Madossa wrote:"They're destroying everything we have!"
"Oh, those bastards," Vaern Lisce muttered.
"What can we do? They've sent a thousand missiles towards us."
"They want to destroy us? Then so be it.
I am afraid to do this in fear of retaliation, but we shall do it. Tell the nuclear submarines monitoring the Raj fleet to launch a nuclear-tipped torpedo."
His advisers gulped.
"Are you sure about this?"
Vaern turned to face him.
"Yes."

"This is getting out of hand," the secretary of state said through Gajsek's earpiece, sounding shocked. "Call a recess and get out of there."

Without missing a beat, Gajsek gave a small smile and held up a hand to stop what Viceroy Curzon was about to say. He felt a bead of sweat start to slide down his forehead, and wiped away before anyone could notice

"Excuse me," Gajsek said, standing up with the rest of his aides. "But a... situation has developed within the capital that requires my... personal attention. I'll be leaving my negotiators here to continue the conference, but at the moment I must return home. I'm sorry for the inconvenience."

Flanked by Semparian and Rhyssuan security guards, Gajsek was escorted back to the airport. Within fifteen minutes of leaving the embassy, a squadron of about two dozen planes protected the First Citizen as he returned home. During the flight, Gajsek called everyone he could.

"I want our Iron Dome assembled and modernized as soon as possible," he said. "Put in a request for a total mobilization, and order the Rhyssuan troops in Spokane to fall back and protect Basecamp. If any of our supplies are still at the airfield the Spokanians gave us, get them out. We need to concentrate our forces in one place. Send out a general order to our agents to flee the area and return home. And lastly, concentrate our navy on protecting the Kramer and our coastline." With Rhyssua's small coastline, it'd be fairly easy to mine the waters to prevent any ships from getting through.

"Which side will we take in this war?" his secretary of defense asked. Gajsek chewed his lip and said nothing.

(OOC: Spokane I'm pretty sure Renton launched its missiles at the Raj but not certain. Let me know if this is not the case.)

Think of me as a mix of Austria-Hungary and Yugoslavia (democratic, of course). How you get the name "Rhyssua" out of that, you ask? Shhhh....

"Oh my God."

The Empire send a warning to both sides of the conflict to stand down immediately or both nations will face serious consequences. This your only warning.

New Windsor, The Viceroy's House. (3PM Spokane time due to earlier post)
OOC:
I know Madossa I am jumping the gun with this speech, but it's more that I wanted to skip the peace negotiations in context because it would have been PAINFUL to do on my end and we still have to do with the terrifiying Spokane situation. Will still use the same terms ect agreed upon.

The Viceroy stood at the same podium she declared this blood soaked war on, within the same room, the Durbar Hall. The Viceroy's throne was behind her and she will still dressed in the uniform that she met the First Citizen in. She had a prepared speech and it was being broadcasted to the entire world live. The press was sitting and standing within the hall, hundreds of them.

The Viceroy spoke calmly "The last shot is fired, the final gun made, the last missile launched. We have all suffered, at the hands of this war with the Federation of Madossa. We have lost friends, family and loved ones. But I am proud, and honoured to tell you that the Raj, is no longer at war with the Federation of Madossa. We have agreed upon terms that Madossa will pay war reparations to the British Raj for the costs of damaged and expended equipment and lives lost within the recent battles. It will withdraw its remaining troops from Spokane and all agents from the Raj and we will withdraw any agents within Madossa as well as a show of good faith and finally, Madossa is to remove all government sanctions against the Raj (The Raj will do likewise) we will resume normal trading." she pauses for a moment and then speaks. "I hope, that this brings solace to those who lost friends and family in this war. This was our finest hour, and I am proud to say that we stood firm and heled fast. Thank you." The Viceroy then steps down from the podium and leaves.

Applause is heard in the hall as the press conference ends, the war is over. (for now knowing our luck!)

Sarandia sends £50 Million to the Fallen Angel's order and asks "please don't persecute religious people"
Mostly represents my views but what I think a Middle Eastern nation should do which will be sometimes different to what I think a western nation should do(because the people have different needs in different places)
