Sir Bob Semple,
Amman,Eggistaan
1400 Hours

Semple read over the documents sprawled over his desk, papers that came from his military high command formed 90% of his pile. Although he had already accepted giving Ariel support to the government of significance, he was still interested in the way the operation was meant to go. He grabbed one paper that had the heading "Top secret." and began reading, He saw the motivation for this military support, "And when the people of significance stare at their saviours from the heavens they will receive the truth about the prophecy, the KRO are stripping this right from them. This is also a chance for our air crews to gain experience with low risks. We can test our new mosquito fighters on the field, allowing us to be able to make the correct modifications in the future. This cannot be done without an airfield in significance, you will have to request significance to use one for the duration of the war. Glory to Eggistaan!" The king immediately wrote a letter to the Empress of significance
To Empress Penny Prince:
From: Sir Bob Semple
We are pleased to hear that you have accepted our offer to aid you with Ariel support, however it would be very difficult to do this without an airfield. We will use our own mechanics and teams to maintain our air units. The helicopters and jets are already en route and need a place to refuel and repair in between missions so we request some sort of airbase to assist you in your endeavours.
glory to Eggistaan!
I'm sorry for all the people who saw the redefinition of stupidity when I was playing as Hatootehland back in 2015. I was eleven then, yes, I was eleven.

The aid base had gotten larger, more warehouses, more refugee prefabs and more personnel. Several forward watch posts had been established, but the main thrust of the project as of now was the setup of a forward airstrip, which would allow for supplies, manpower and equipment to be brought in faster and more efficiently, but would take over a week for the first phase of construction to be completed.

The equipment needed for air control was in storage, a swathe of flat land had been cleared and the first rounds of concrete poured for the strip itself while another prefab kit could be shaped into a serviceable control tower, the specialists needed were on their way. Plans were also made for refuelling and servicing facilities as well, while parts and people needed to construct RADAR facilities were being assembled in the homeland.

A divisional artillery fire base had also been dug out, with entrenched positions for anti-tank and anti air positions also being worked on.

'Battle of the Bulge', Significant

It was a trap. As the ACR forces approached the seemingly defenceless KRO forces, the trap was sprung.

KRO soldiers started detonating all around, having been strapped with explosive devices. Meawhile, the MiGs the ACR had failed to capture, began their bombing run. While the ACR was distracted, Significance forces protecting their backline were ambushed, forcing a retreat. The bloodshed had only just begun.

Meanwhile, another KRO battalion was on it's way to reinforce their comrades, although this had come at the cost of the siege of another nearby city, Kuvera. Sensing an opportunity, the Significance forces of this city planned a breakout. If the remaining KRO in this city weren't backed up by KRO allies, this would be the first city to fall out of their grasp. It could be a turning point.

Rita smiled. Finally.

"Right this way"

She said, gesturing to the door of the office room located in the centre of the tower. While it didn't have any windows, the lights above shone brightly, and the room was surprisingly spacious.

Once everyone was sat down in the room, she spoke again.

"So, what sort of support are we talking about?"

A lot of our airfields are at high risk, at the moment. However, there are deactivated military airfields in remote locations of Significance. I will gladly give you co-ordinates. We will try to send small teams of personnel to sneak past the sieges of our cities, and start bringing these airfields back into operation.

However, once up and running, the KRO May find out about them, and attack them, so you will need to bring in forces to guard them as well. Good luck.

Wings of Hope

Postby American Continental Republic » Thu Mar 28, 2019 3:19 pm

Lt. Liam “Mickey” O’Malley
23rd Carrier Fighter Squadron-The Boston Brewster’s
Continental Air Force
CN John F. Kennedy

With the invasion going reasonably to schedule, it was clear the KRO would soon be on the back foot. The forces of ACR were closing in on the KRO high command, but not without cost. High above Significance, soar four F/A-18E Super Hornets of the Continental Air Force’s 23rd Carrier Fighter Wing, from the Continental Navy aircraft carrier CN John F. Kenney, callsign Brewster At the controls of Brewster 1-1 was Lt. Liam “Mickey” O’Malley, age 25, from Quincy Massachusetts. “Brewster 1-1, Brewster 1-2. We go a priority request for immediate air support. Some of our boys are pinned down by KRO soldiers and jets” the AWACS, callsign Magic said. “Roger Magic, Brewster 1 flight will respond” Mickey said. “Okay boys, lets go hunting” Mickey said. “1-2, checking in” Mickey’s wingman, Sgt. Zack “Don” Brzezinski said. “1-3, checking in” the number 3 jet, flown by Sgt. Vincent “Oli” Fukuda. “1-4, ready and looking for action” the rookie to the flight, Sgt. Francesco “Cheeks” Cordero said. The four jets rolled towards the target.

Over the target area…
On the radio they heard “This is Hound Team Lead, any ACR forces on this frequency, my men and I are pinned down by enemy jets! We got KRO encircling us from all sides! We need help!” the leader for Hound called. “Hound Lead, this is Brewster flight of four F/A-18’s we’re coming in now, eta two minutes. Where do you want us?” Mickey asked. “We can deal with their ground forces for now, just get rid of those MiG’s!” the ground leader ordered. “Roger. Brewster 1 flight, let’s earn our pay” Mickey said. The flight broke to a combat spread, and each picked a target to engage a MiG-27 that was staying low to the ground to avoid detection. “Come on MiG boy, just try and get away” Mickey thought to himself as he rolled into a seven and a half g pull out from his dive. The MiG turned to try and evade Mickey, but Mickey managed to keep the plane in his sights. While they wild chase dragged on over the countryside, the MiG pilot made a fatal error. Despite not having the speed necessary to climb away from Mickey due to the wild maneuvers he was pulling, the MiG pilot tried to gain altitude to speed away from Mickey. “I got you now!” Mickey exclaimed as he pulled the nose of his jet to follow. Predictably, the MiG lost all it’s speed, stalled, and began falling towards the ground. Mikey got a lock on one of his AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles. He fired it, and watched as it went straight up the MiG’s engine, the plane breaking up as it fell towards the ground. “Brewster 1-1 scratch one bandit” Mickey radioed. “Mickey, I need help! I got a Fulcrum on my six, and he isn’t letting go!” Don screamed on the radio. “Where are you!” Mickey asked. “Three miles away, heading 175, hurry!” Don screamed. “I’m coming, hold on!” Mickey said as he plugged his engines into afterburner to build up speed. “I see you Don, just help me engage!” Mickey said as he reached Don’s position. “Diving!” Don shouted as he dove for the ground to try and get away. “He’s matching me one-to-one!” Don exclaimed, bewildered. “Just get away from him!” Mickey ordered as he managed to get in behind the MiG-29 that was chasing Don. “I’m going in for guns!” Mickey said. A second later he squeezed the trigger and his M61A1 Vulcan cannon fired a bust of ammo, but it missed. A second later, the MiG fired a burst of his gun at Don. “I’M HIT! BRWESTER 1-2, GOING DOWN!” Don screamed on the radio. “DON EJECT! BRESTWER 1-2 EJECT! EJECT DAMMIT!” Mickey screamed. Mickey watched in horror as Don’s canopy flew off, followed by his ejection seat flying out of the airplane. “Magic, this is Brewster 1-1! Brewster 1-2 has been shot down!” Mickey said on the radio. “Roger, do you see a chute?” the AWACS said. “Roger confirm times one parachute. Send rescue to my position please! Hurry!” Mickey begged. “Roger, dispatching combat rescue units, eta five minutes” the WACS said. “Brewster 1-3, Brewster 1-4. Be advised that Brewster 1-2 has been shot down, we need to cover his position until rescue gets there” Mickey ordered. “We’re on the way” Oli said.

Five minutes later…

The UH-60 Blackhawk, callsign Halo 2-4, had landed and was rescuing Don. Meanwhile, Mickey, Oli, and Cheeks were doing everything to keep the KRO forces that were encroaching on their position at bay. “Bombs away!” Mickey called as he released a bomb on a T-72 tank that was driving to a nearby hill to fire on the rescue helicopter. “Bos be advised, I got a pair of MiG-21’s trying to give our helicopter friends a very bad day” Cheeks exclaimed. “Okay, shoot them if you got them!” Mickey exclaimed as he saw a pair of silver jets and a single Super Hornet fly past below him. “Brewster flight, this is Halo 2-4, we got your friend, his in decent shape, twisted ankle. Hold-hold on, he wants to say something” the pilot of the helicopter said as the helicopter lifted off. “Hey boss, tell the guys the first round is on me tonight” Don said. “Don’t worry, they can hear you fine” Mickey said.

"So, what sort of support are we talking about?"

The Field Marshal adjusted his cap, speaking in a serious tone, "Well, the Federation has decided that Conventional warfare, including naval and air bombardment, combined with a lend lease program, would siot the issue very well." "As we speak, the Vanguard units of a few regiments of Infantry and Armored vehicles are steaming towards the region. Air units are being transferred here from our home bases, and the entirety of the force should arrive in a few weeks." A aide walked up to him, whispering in his ear, the Field Marshal turned back, "I've received news that the Parachute regiments are about to make a landing tomorrow. Speaking of paratroops, we will most likely use them as crack light infantry, instead of main airborne operations, however, if the opportunity arises, we will use them as how they where intended." He smirked, looking at Rita.

En route to significance
The smaller and faster ships carrying the paratroops where just past the exit of the Suez canal, moving at a quick pace to Significance. The Small Frigate escorts flanking them, and protecting the rear. The Vanguard units of the 1st Armored, 23rd Infantry, and 3rd Motorized, where just past Italy. The Forces where approaching swiftly, it was only a matter of time before they arrived in force.

The construction of the airstrip was proceeding apace, additional materials had arrived which would allow the control tower to go ahead, simple prefabs wouldn't suffice for such a complex structure which would require specialist personnel, materials and equipment. The parts and equipment needed for RADAR facilities was also on the way.

Meanwhile, the last few SAM and ATGM emplacements had been out down at the trenches put down around the main operating base, the aid facilities nearby were almost complete, with an additional radio beacon set up to ensure wideband, nationwide coverage. The coordinates and announcement that the facilities are here could be heard loud and clear on every wavelength.
