Greetings, we note the somewhat disagreeable state of affairs your nation has come to, and we wish to provide humanitarian aid. We intend to set up exclusion zones to recieve refugees, and distribute aid supplies, as well as maintain a small peacekeeping force. We will cooperate with any wishes of your governemnt and people, we want only to minimise the suffering of the people.

As of writing, our cities are under siege by KRO forces. While of course we gratefully accept any aide you can provide, it would be wrong of me not to inform you that you do so at great risk from KRO forces. All we can do at this point is wish you best of luck, and humbly accept any aide that gets through.

Tiber would never be certain, but it felt like Five was smiling.

"An interesting resource. Both a energy source, and a weapon. Tactical use of such a tool would be very advantageous. I look forward to a dem-"

They paused, putting an arm to their ear, before appearing to talk to someone.

"Yes, what is it? I hope it's important, I'm busy"

The faint mumbles of words from another voice could be made out, but nothing substantial.

"Oh my. Really? Well, that is quite impressive, and intriguing"

He put his arm down, and spoke once more to those in the room.

"It appears your demonstration has already gone off. There's reports of the city of Calmera, a city less than a dozen miles from the capital, going completely dark. I presume you have something to do with it, and that we shouldn't send KRO forces in?"

The Prophet looked uneasy for once.

"What about civilian casulties?"

Fives response was rather cold and calculated. Clearly, his response wasn't as emotional as his counterparts.

"Yes, of course. If a city has been wiped out, people are going to start asking questions, and talk may spread of war crimes.

While your technology is quite the marvel, I am hesistant for further use on civilian targets. Our goal for the KRO, is to win the hearts of minds of the Significance people, not destroy them. Why do you think we are laying siege to Government cities, and not finishing the job? Becuase people need to realise themselves the winning side, and only then will they accept their new rule. I would advise in future to only 'seed' military assests, not civilain ones.

I would also like you to give us our own sample to experiment on as soon as possible, back at our HQ. A group of your people will be allowed in to assist, but only a small group of a dozen or so. We need to keep our HQ as hidden as possible, afterall.

Are these terms satisfactory to you?"

Emperors Palace, Military control centre

Shock shook the room of Admirals and Generals, as the city of Calmera and it's forces went dark, so close to the capital. Panic started to set in, as speculation about what had happened spread around the room. Then, the fleeing bombers popped up on radar, clearing flying from the city.

"Can our AA missiles get a lock"

Called out a General.

"Aye sir"

Responded someone, after a few moments.

"Then burn them in hell!"

With those orders, a barrage of AA missiles was released, looking for revenge on the enemy bombers.

King Harrison stood, dressed in his royal greens as Agent Timberwolf came to report on the status of the Significant civil war and talk about his newest agents. He spoke as he saw The aging Agent walk in. “Status on the civil war?” Agent Timberwolf saluted him and responded “Well. Sounds like we may need to send in the assassination or intelligence unit. I have gotten reports that the man who murdered Agent Dragon has links to the KRO.” King Harrison frowned and asked “Speaking of Agent Dragon, how are Agents Sabertooth, Cobra, Ducky, Emerald King,Puzzle and Mouse doing?” Agent Timberwolf’s face broke out into a grin “Murderous. I think we should send all of them, even the ones in other missions to this one.” Harrison nodded “Do what you need to. I have a feeling this will be the first shot fired.”

Having gotten the communication back from Significance, Malell got on the phone with Sangh. "we have the green light from them, so board is green on my end. What's the plan for you?" he asked. Sangh paused for a moment as he pulled up the planning document. "it's simple, There's a nice big cove a dozen klicks north of their capital, deep water with a beach inside. The engineering detachment thinks they can set up a pontoon harbour and some makeshift warehouses in the area, and further up we can set our MOB and refugee housing. We're getting underway immediately, we estiamte arrival and project start in a little over 2 days"

Meanwhile, Port of Col-Talsis
"All forces to pier three, all forces to pier three." issued an electronic voice. a large container ship with all the supplies they would need for base construction along with several escort destroyers and frigates. Two soldiers hefted a metal crate onto a left platform, then signalled a crane operator to send it up. "you really think this is going to be just humanitarian? you know how much the government loves to meddle in foreign affairs" said one. The other turned to face him "I can buy it, until the temple of wildwood cult is dealt with and Farras has it's martial law lifted, the government is unlikely to be doing much. and it's no secret that we have surplus food and such, may as well do something nice with it". he replied. Both men took to the embarktion ramp, and later than day, the convoy was underway.

'Nature reserve', Tasmania (Talon HQ?)

creak

Frank paused on the floorboard, he didn't like this. This was meant to be Talon HQ, the heart of terrorist organization bent of destroying Significance. Not only was it quiet, but all the doors had been left open.

He sneaked his way forward once more, towards the ajar door in front of him. Likely the leaders office, given the layout of this building.

creak went the door as he opened. Before he could react, he heard a file slam shut and down on a table, and a pocket pistol was pointed at him. He recognized the holder.

"Jacob? I see the Significance prison system couldn't hold you down"

Jacob Huxley had been arrested for treason, due to it being believed he and one other, who had been freed before he could be imprisoned, apparently by friends of Jacob, had planned the illegal kidnapping of a civilian who they believed was actually a spy, when very little supported that claim. Jacob seemed quite calm however, all things considered.

"A civil war is a good distraction to allow you to escape. I presume we are here for the same reason?"

Frank didn't presume anything, too stupid, in his eyes.

"And to you that would be?"

Jacob chuckled.

"The involvement of Talon with Project Konnach, or the Konnach Religious Order to you"

Frank was intrigued.

"And what did you find?"

Jacob put away the gun. It was clear Frank had taken the bait.

"That Talon didn't do anything, but they did know something. Not much, if these files are to be believed, only the name of the project. But someone was here, to make sure no one found anything else. That's why it's so quiet. Talon is dead"

Frank paused. That meant one thing. A bad thing.

"How powerful of an enemy are we dealing with if they destroyed Talon?"

Jacob nodded, agreeing.

"I know we don't have much reason to trust each other, Frank, but I read your case file. You never trusted authority, I don't really know if you trust your government, but I have a strong reason to believe the KRO are run by the SIS, the people who framed me for their operation, and I need your help proving it"

Frank now nodded.

"Anything to take down those religious nut jobs. I might not fully trust the government, but some of them are my friends"

Jacob chuckled again.

"I never thought you were the friends type"

Frank smiled.

"Maybe I'm growing soft, who knows, maybe we'll end up as friends"

Both men laughed as they left the room. The KRO, the SIS, whoever the enemy was, they had just made a dangerous pair of enemies.

First Bomber Seeder Squadron

"Sir! I'm tracking incoming missiles!" The lead planes scanner operator yelled over the drone of the engines. "BRACE!" Came the shout as the first missile hit the stealth bomber tearing a wing clean off and sending the men inside flying into the abyss. The Rockets found their targets 25 of 30 planes were hit and downed leaving only five to return to Chimera.

Tiber smiled at the unease of the Prophet in front of him, none could be as strong as Kane it seemed in dedication to their faith. But the demonstration had worked up a treat. A whole city seeded and gone dark now he had to simply await the arrival of his forces and the word of Kane would be spread. "Of course Five," Tiber said when the request to seed only military assets came, "We only targetted Calmera as to give a proper demonstration of the power of our military and our effective deliverance systems. In turn Brother Agil here will happily take over escort of the sample with twelve of his Black Hand Brothers. Your terms are more than satisfactory I will wait here for my main army to arrive to assist in combat operations though if that is okay?"

Mission Control, Significance, to SS. Emerald
Permission granted, be advised hostile forces may have spotted your presence

Captured airfield
The Order strike force moved steathily towards the airfield, their camoflauouged armour blending seamlessly with the environment. Unlike normal KRO forces, these seemed to be trained and elite soldiers, equipped with silenced weapons, and they had one simple goal. Cause choas for the enemy.

However, they also had another goal. A message would be passed to the now freed prisoners, who were not to be harmed, and it would read:

Greetings for the KRO,
We apologize deeply for how High Priest Gunther treated you, and this was never Chaplain Melody's intent. He has since been demoted for his actions. We simply want you to know we are not the bad guys, and want to bring order to this chaos. Maybe one day you may realize this, and glady join our ranks for us to welcome you.

Best Wishes, Legionnaire Six, The Order

KRO supply hub, Submarine

There was a very faint sigh, nearly inaudible. Five would deal with their choatic nature later.

"Very well. High Chaplain Arthur will be in charge of co-coordinating with your troops when they arrive, I presume with the sample. Then, the Prophet and your small group, now with the sample, will make it back to HQ via Helicopter, where our own scientists will work with you on our own understanding, and later use, of Tiberium. For now, High Chaplain, look after our guests, while I speak to the Prophet in private"

Both men nodded, as the Prophet turned off the screen, and then walked out the room, leaving Arthur with their guests. He quickly walked down the corridor to a small office, his office, which he entered and locked the door of, before sitting at his desk with a computer on it, which he turned on and set up a conference call with Five, still shadowy and dissorted. Five spoke first.

"Prophet, apologies if I didn't muster the same emotions as you did over the loss of potential converts. We in The Order must remain distant if we are to see the bigger picture that will bring order to choas"

The Prophet nodded.

"Of course, I would never doubt you. I just hope that when this is all over, these murderers are next on the list"

Five nodded.

"Do not worry, The Order has plans for these people. We shall bring order to their choas. But for now, there are more important matters to attend to, as I'm sure you understand"

The Prophet reluctantly nodded.

"Yes, Legionairre. May Order triumph over Chaos"

The Legionairrre repeated the phrase.

"May Order triumph over Choas"

And then the screen went blank.

The Prophet leaned back and sighed. He needed a moment to compose himself. All he wanted was to people to see the good he wished to bring the world by bringing order to it, but it seemed everywhere he looked there was choas. He hoped The Order knew what they were doing.

Operation Kings Reach

Postby American Continental Republic » Fri Mar 22, 2019 6:03 pm

President William Sheppard
White House, Washington DC
7:55pm

President William Sheppard read over his speech that he had to give regarding the action in Significance. “Mr. President, the press is ready for you” the Press Secretary, Charles Hodgeworth said as he popped his head into the Oval Office. “Yes, let’s go” President Sheppard said as he stood up from the Resolute Desk. As Press Secretary Hodgeworth introduced him, he walked up to the podium. “My fellow citizens, it is with great regret that I must deliver this update to you” the President said. “I must unfortunately tell you that the KRO have attacked our base in Significance to push us out of the region, killing many men” the President said, pausing to allow his words to sink in. After a moment, he said “More to the point, the KRO have captured and brutally tortured some of our men, Brewster and Icarus teams. Torturing them to within inches of their lives” the President said, pausing to allow the crowd to calm itself. “I would like to tell the story of one of those men, Sergeant Cole Billsters, from a small town in Iowa. Sgt. Billsters left his wife, and their three-year-old daughter to serve alongside his men in the defense of freedom” President Sheppard said. “Let this message to the KRO be heard loud and clear: No matter where you hide, from the deepest canyons and oceans, to the highest peaks, and from the deepest jungles and hottest deserts, to the coldest parts of the arctic, you will be found, and you will face justice. Nowhere is safe from the justice you will face when we catch you”

Significance Base…
Sgt. Victor “Vik” Foreman
Continental Navy-SEAL Team 1

The hardest part of the aftermath was the funeral ceremonies. Almost everyone who a person could speak to on the base, knew someone who was repatriated. Sgt. Victor “Vik” Foreman, and his team, Lance Corporal Francis “Fink” Collings, Corporal Oscar “Nickel” Homer, and Private Kyle “Grit” Grewal, sat in the briefing room in the main terminal, a former ticketing office. “Listen up!” Colonel Douglas Baldwin, said to them. “I know we’re all down, given the attack, and we’ve all lost some people we know, but this is the opportunity to strike back” Colonel Baldwin said. “Our target is the one they call Priest Gunther, his codename ‘Salamander’, or the 7 of Spades on the Deck of Cards” Colonel Baldwin explained. “Reaper drones have narrowed the location of Salamander to this small compound here, about twelve miles from here” Colonel Baldwin explained. “Your mission will be to kill or capture Salamander, and return him here for extradition back home” Colonel Baldwin explained. Everyone wrote down the information regarding the mission. “Upon successful kill-capture, you will radio ‘Foxhole’ three time so we can send in a helicopter” Colonel Baldwin explained. “Sir, what if we have to evacuate the area before we reach the target?” Grit asked. “Radio us ‘Dexter’ three times and head for the primary extraction point” Colonel Baldwin explained.

C-130, 30,000ft above Significance…

The plane flew high over the country, the moonless night providing some cover. “When we arrive, Nickel, move to the high ground over looking the compound, we’ll move in and secure the area, you provide overwatch in case we get any unwanted guests” Vik explained. As he finished folding up the map, the loadmaster came up to him and said “Sir! The pilot is ready to drop you guys!”. “Okay!” Vik said as he stood up and began to secure his parachute. “What if we get separated?” Fink asked. “Make your way to the RV point if you can, or if you’re injured, radio for help, and we’ll call the mission off and evacuate” Vik explained. Everyone checked their equipment and prepared for the drop. The plane had been depressurized to 25,000ft, instead of the usual 10,00ft used for flight. As the ramp opened, all but a single re light filled the cargo bay and a mist filled the hold as what remained of the pressurized air exited the plane. Before them, lay a vast expanse of darkness, that they had to jump into. “Go! Go! Go!” Vik shouted through his air mask as he jumped off into the night sky. The wind shook him violently as he dropped through the clouds, the water droplets hitting him like a thousand pins and needles. The noise of the fall was indescribable. After what seemed like forever, the team pulled their parachutes and stopped with a shock.

At the compound…

The team lay on the ground on a hill, planning their next move. “Alamo, this is Durant 1-1, we’re holding at the perimeter of the compound, awaiting instruction” Vik radioed. “Durant 1-1, Alamo, proceed with the mission. We have a Global Hawk holding above you guys watching you” Colonel Baldwin said. “Nickel, move up to that hill there” Vik said pointing to a hill to the teams left. “Moving” Nickel said as he crawled away. “I’m in position” Nickel radioed. “Okay, we’re moving in. Cover us” Vik said as he crawled down the hill to a small drainage ditch. After successfully rolling into the ditch, Vik stood up and walked up the other side to the back wall of the house. “Fink, Grit, move to my position” Vik radioed. “Moving” Grit said as he and Fink moved in. When they were in position along the wall, Vik moved up to the back door, and pulled out a flash bang grenade. “Breaching” Vik said as he pulled the pin and threw the grenade into the house. As soon as it exploded, Vik ran into the house, the KRO soldiers stumbling around trying to regain their senses. CONTACT!” Vik yelled as he shot one of the men who was stumbling to his rifle. Vik moved down the hallway, breaking into a bedroom that had a pair of soldiers who were alert and started shooting at Vik. “Vik shot into the room, killing both men. “Boss, you woke up the whole camp with that, they’re waking up” Nickel said. “Start popping them off, so we can plan a defense” Vik said. “Shooting” Nickel said. Soldiers started encircling the house, firing into the building. “Alamo, Durant 1-1, 1-3, 1-4 are pinned down!” Vik radioed. “Roger Durant, are you able to proceed?” Colonel Baldwin asked. “Yes sir!” Vik said as he raised his weapon to shoot out the window of the front room. “Fink, plant claymores in the front, I’ll cover you!” Vik ordered. “You got it!” Fink replied as he approached the center of the room and began laying mines out. “Grit, head around back!” Fink ordered. “Going!” Grot yelled as he ran back down the hallway. “Boss, I’m done!” Fink yelled. “Okay, go out back I’ll cover you!” Vik yelled as he continued firing out the window. Fink started running down the hallway to meet Grit in the back yard. Vik followed quickly out the back. “G left! Fink blow it now!” Vik yelled. As the men ran, a massive explosion rocked the area as the house exploded, with the roof being blown five feet into the air. While most of the KRO soldiers were killed by the explosion as they entered the house, a few were still barely alive or managed to shoot at the SEAL’s. Vik, Fink, and Grit managed to take cover next to a warehouse. “Grenade launchers!” Vik said, as he readied the grenade launcher attachment on his M4A1 SOPMOD. “Pop it off!” Vik yelled as he pulled the trigger. Two of the men went down immediately. With the other three sustaining even more serious injury.

After the battle…

After the compound had been secured, the team began searching the area for Priest Gunther. As Vik searched the top floor of the largest house on the compound. As he searched, he heard Grit say “Hey boss, I got something in the basement!”. “I’m coming!” Vik yelled as he ran down to the wine cellar. Grit was pointing to a small sub-basement at the far end of the long and narrow wine cellar. In it, was a short, mustached man. Vik reached into his back pocket and pulled out a picture. The picture confirmed it was Priest Gunther. “Get over here!” Vik said, raising his voice as he pulled the man out. “Cuff and bag this animal!” Vik said as he shoved Gunther to Grit. “Alamo, Foxhole. Foxhole. Foxhole. We got him!” Vim radioed with joy.

After a lengthy helicopter ride back to base, there was a wave of joy on the base. “Hey boss, won’t the KRO retaliate for this?” Nickel asked as the chopper landed on the main ramp of the airport. “No, they wouldn’t risk the loss of one of their higher ups if it means striking back at this base” Vik replied reassuringly. As Vik unloaded Salamander from the Blackhawk helicopter, everyone stopped and watched as the man was dragged across the ramp to be placed in a holding cell. Some time over the weekend, a C-40 Clipper would arrive to extradite him to Guantanamo Bay for holding.

Permission granted. Please send forces to combat troops from the American Continental Republic (ACR), they are proving very resilient.

The Order/SIS HQ, unknown location, South West Significance

Mutters could be heard around a large metal table, as the head of the SIS, George Fontain, also known as Legionairre One of The Order by the KRO, stepped in, and sat down at the table.

"Are we still flying under the radar? Is it only the duo termed Cats Eyes that know of our subterfuge?"

A man nodded.

"Yes sir. However we lost track of them when then left area of the former Talon HQ. We are doing everything we can to track them once more"

George nodded back.

"See that you do. They are top priority. What about the incident involving the ACR, how have they responded?"

This time a woman responded.

"They don't appear to be taking appeasement. Just recently, the Priest responsible for the act, who also blamed his superiors for his acts, was taken prisoner, after the High Priestess in charge of him put him in charge of a small compound away from the main fighting"

George stroked his beard, before responding.

"It is clear the ACR have a hatred for the KRO. It is clear they will continue to cause problems for us. Tell me, how easy is it to fake a KRO compound that is actually full of civilians?"

The woman hesitated, but she knew this was part of the job.

"Very easily sir. I presume you wish to undermine their morality?"

George smiled.

"Exactly. Make preparations as soon as possible. And what of the aid situation? Are countries still prioritizing the current Goverment?"

Another man spoke.

"It appears so sir, and they aren't making it easy to steal supplies"

George sighed.

"Well, try to get images and video circulating of starving KRO sympathizers. ThAt should get through to these 'humanitarians'"

The other man simply nodded. George continued.

"If there is nothing else, meeting is ajourned, for now. If anything else important comes up, please let me know. Dismissed"

After quite some travel, the convoy reached it's destination. a deep cove enclosing a beach which would be the site for a pontoon harbour of sorts. It wouldn't be able to serve a larger container ship, so instead the plan was to lower the containers down onto smaller craft which would carry them in to be unloaded into warehouses which would be constructed further up.

The engineering company came ashore, immediately starting their task of building the pontoons while other teams unloaded prefab kits to act as warehouses, housing and barracks. it would take more time still to get everything set up before the aid could begin. several hundred small refugee huts had been planned, but also they had to serve the military, so a MOB would also need to be constructed. The constructions crews and engineers given stimulant tablets to allow them to work around the clock, knowing that they would have to build their own living arrangements, to sleep on the sand would simply be shameful.

Back in the homeland, a second shipment of construction and aid supplies was being assembled, along with more regular troops and heavy equipment to set up and enforce the exclusion zone, and act as peacekeepers.

Captain Rudolf looked out over the now disembarking Kandonican Humanitarian mission that had just recently landed at the airport. "Why the hell did we send over 10,000 men and tanks if we were coming here on a humanitarian mission" he asked Lieutenant Hesse. "This seems more like an army than a peace keeping unit." Hesse responded "Our mission is to protect the people here and it would be very hard to do that without some firepower." "Besides, we have been instructed to begin full scale operations if provoked and it would take a bit to reenforce us here so we would have to fend for ourselves." "Captain the men of the 9th Marine Regiment just disembarked" said a Private walking towards the commander. "Great, and now we start." said the Captain

Operation Deliverance

Postby American Continental Republic » Sat Mar 23, 2019 1:53 pm

Staff Sergeant Adrian “Papa” Papadakis
300th Infantry Brigade-The Spartans
Demeter 1
Continental Army
Significant

During the night, the plane carrying Gunther had taken off for the American Continental Republic. There was a sense of relief, that the menace had been eliminated, although there was still more KRO occupied territory to be liberated. SSG Adrian “Papa” Papadakis, was one of the soldiers tasked with helping to secure a village on the front line to start an aid station, codenamed Station Deliverance. “He boss, we good to go?” Lance Corporal Christian “Mac” Makris asked as he and Papa left the ready building where the gear was stored. “Yeah, I’m sure” Papa replied. “Well, we know the rules of engagement, don’t fire unless fired upon” Corporal Nikolas “Niko” Piteras said. “Yeah, watch out. Rumors are swirling that the KRO are using civilians as human shields. “Hey Private, you ready to go?” Papa asked to Private Eladio “Eli” Stanis. “Yeah, I guess so boss” he replied nervously as they climbed into the helicopter. “Hey Papa, don’t forget to call your wife when we get back” Sergeant Fedro “Fed” Rodas said on the opposite bench of the UH-60 Blackhawk. “Assuming we make it back” Lance Corporal Khristos “Crystal” Mires said as he climbed into his seat.

Approaching the town…

The ride was rough as the helicopters had to watch for ground fire. “Almost there” Corporal Damian “Dag” Ganas said. “Thank God, can’t wait to get my feet on solid ground” replied Private Cosimo “Cosmo” Remes. “Still get air sick?” Papa asked. “Only at low altitude” Cosmo replied. The helicopters landed in a field near the town. Once everyone had disembarked, they took off again to fly into the sky. “Remember, watch for civilians, do not fire unless fired on first” Papa said. “Alamo, Demeter teams moving to secure the village” Fedro radioed to the base. “Roger, be careful, we don’t know what is in there” the base replied. The squads approached the town cautiously, waiting for the moment that the KRO in the town would fire on them. “I don’t get it, why haven’t they fired yet?” Eli asked. “Not sure, just be careful” Papa replied as he reached the gate. Papa pushed it open carefully, to not set off any traps. “Alamo be advised, the town is full of civilians” Papa radioed. “Roger, secure overwatch positions and await the humanitarian supplies” the base replied.
Sometime later…

The tents and trucks rolled into the village and were being set up to receive patients. Once extra support arrived, Papa and his men would be able to return to base. There was a sense of accomplishment as the tents went up. “This is a break from the ordinary” Niko said to Papa, who was watching the road in the distance. “Oh yeah” Papa replied. Suddenly a whistling sound filled the air. This aid station was a hearts and minds victory over the KRO, to show that the American Continental Republic would stop at nothing to neutralize them. The station would provide hope to the suffering civilians, and provide them a way out, to not allow the KRO to appear as their savior, but to show them for who they really were.

Across the country, KRO sympathizers, draped in holy robes, and unarmed, swarmed pro government aid camps.

At this point, these people had given up with thievery to help feed and clothe themselves, due to the heavy firepower brought to stop them. Now, they wanted to make a statement. They were civilians, no different than their government counterparts. The only seperation was who they supported.

The government's own forces couldn't stop them, they were unarmed. If they were shot at, they would be martyrs. If they went unfed, they would starve in the aid camps, and also be martyrs.

This would be a powerful message to the world. The KRO would not be ignored or pushed aside.

Meanwhile....

Unbeknownst to his captors, Gunther had an underskin probe, nearly undetectable. All high High Priests, Chaplains, and High Chaplains, had this implant. Gunther's had not been removed when he had been demoted, just for this very occasion.

This probe would wirelessly connect to any electronic devices in close vicinity, and when in a country, could use this connection to access government networks, and launch anything it could get a hold of at civilian targets. Even if it was just one rocket, or just one bomber, the impact of such an attack would scar any nations reputation.

The pontoon harbour had been constructed, and a service crane was being set up on the rocks aside in order to lift containers off of the transport boats, they had moved up with the second elements setting more more prefab buildings with the ones below acting as a field barracks for the engineering crews while work went on at a good pace, right on schedule. a field barracks for soldiers as well as an armoury for garrison forces was also being laid down, as well as containers filled with packed up refugee housing was also due to be put down as well. it would be days still until it was all ready, but with the pace the work was going, nobody was worried about missing deadlines.

We will not be having our bases raiding by civilians. This is a message to all troops and a warning for all who could oppose."-Gen. The first round of aid supplies had just come ashore, as well as the facilities to unload and store them. A dozen prefab refugee houses had also been set up. As work continued, a looping radio beacon was set up to help people find their way here.

"Troubled citizens of Significance, we are a humanitarian aid mission from the Union of Crysukon Socialist Republics, and we seek to alleviate your suffering. Already we have more than enough supplies to deal with shortages of food, water and medicine. Housing for those displaced is also availiable, co-ordinates are encoded in this transmission. Comrades, make haste!"

A high gain transmitter was used, sending the beacon far and wide, no doubt many would hear it and come running. But more supplies were to come ashore. as well as the initial platoon of peacekeeper guards were also set up in a field barracks.

The SS. Emerald docked as two men walked out of the ship and pulled out their machine guns as they awaited their driver to come. The taller one spoke to the shorter one and said “Feels weird to not have James with us...”. The shorter one nodded in agreement with him and spoke with determination “We will hunt down whoever ordered his murder. And we will make them feel pain.”

Operation Turner

Postby American Continental Republic » Mon Mar 25, 2019 4:23 pm

Lt. Richard “Richie” Donnelly
223rd Mechanized Infantry- The Crashers
Continental Army

After much planning, the next phase of the operation in Significance was about to commence, Operation Turner. After helping to bolster the defenses set up by the Significant Army around Significant. The goal of the operation was to push the KRO back away from the capital. Lt. Richard “Richie” Donnelly, and his fire team, Butch 1, sat in the back of Crasher 1-1, preparing for the mission, to take the area around a bridge, five miles behind the KRO line. “Hey Cricket? You holding up?” Richie asked Private Andrew “Cricket” Indo, the new guy on the squad. “Yeah, I guess?” Cricket replied nervously. “Just remember, if it’s shooting at you, it’s probably a threat, so use the stick in your hand and shoot back” Lance Corporal George “Dime” Demine said. “Dime, cool it. Just stay close to us, and we’ll get through” Corporal Felix “Kirk” Birchfield said. “We’re on the roll” the commander of the M1126 ICV said. The soldiers felt the vehicle starting to move forward, out toward the bridge head. As the vehicle drove, Richie said “Okay, check your weapons gentlemen, make sure you got enough ammo, food, water, med-kits, and anything else we might need” Richie said.

Approaching the bridge…

“Its gonna be a hot arrival guys! KRO resistance is heavy by the river, we need to drop you a bit further back!” the commander said. “Gentlemen its gonna be a hot arrival!” Richie shouted to the men. The tension was even more now with the news that the fighting would start before the bridge was even crossed. The vehicle stopped and the ramp opened up. “Hurry! Hurry! Hurry” Richie shouted as the team ran out of the back of the truck. “Butch 1 is on station, where are we needed!?” Richie asked on the radio. “Butch 1 you’re needed on the west side of the bridge! The 152nd light infantry is bogged down and need back up!” the ground commander said. “Roger Moving!” Richie radioed back. “Okay guys listen up! The 152 Light Infantry is stuck, we need to help them!” Richie said. The team walked through the dark streets of the city to the shore of the river, to a scene straight out of hell. “INCOMING!” a voice called as an RPG flew across the river, landing near the M104 Wolverine Bridge Layer that was approaching the bridge. Bullets flew across the river in both directions. “BUTCH 1 IS ON STATION!” Richie yelled into the radio. The team made their way down to the river, and began picking out targets on the far side of the river. Richie raised his SCAR Rifle to aim look across and started firing across the water.

After fighting for the river, which lasted most of the night, the invasion force crossed the bridge laid down across the bridge and began advancing deeper into the country. As the convoy moved down the road, facing stiff pockets of enemy resistance every so often. “Hey boss, we’re nearing the hamlet where we’re supposed to be stopping for rest in about twenty minutes” Dime said. “Good, gonna be great to rest a bit!” Cricket said. “Just don’t let your guard down during that time rookie” Richie said. “Hey Felix, how you holding up?” Richie asked. “Doing fine” Felix replied. Approaching the town, the convoy stopped, the infantry units would secure the town for the trucks and armored vehicles. “Butch 1 moving in” Richie said. “Roger, we will keep our distance” the convoy commander said. The infantrymen approached the village, ready to open fire if any potential KRO started firing. “Village looks clear” Richie radioed. “Roger” the commander said. As soon as Richie finished on the radio, Cricket yelled “INCOMING!”. Richie looked toward the village and saw a mortar shell incoming fast. “GET DOWN!” Richie yelled as he dropped. The mortar exploded, followed by the sound of soldiers screaming in pain. “I need tank support!” Richie yelled as he tried to crawl towards the only cover, the crater of the mortar. “Roger, moving the tanks in” the convoy commander said. “WE GOT TANKS COMING IN! MOVE FOR THE CRATERS!” Richie yelled as more mortars rained down around the soldiers. As soon as the soldiers got into cover, KRO soldiers moved in firing on the positions. Richie and Dime were in position in one of the craters, “DIME! ENEMY ON THE LEFT!” Richie called out as Dime reloaded. “I GOT HIM!” Dime called back. As Dime raised his weapon, he suddenly fell back screaming. “I’M HIT!” he yelled. “I NEED A MEDIC!” Richie yelled as he crawled towards Dime’s position. “YOU’RE GONNA BE FINE! IT’S NOT AS BAD AS IT LOOKS!” Richie said reassuringly. As the medic arrived, he started applying pressure to the bullet wound. “COVER US!” the medic yelled. Richie started firing back at the enemy position.

Thirty minutes later…

The battle wore on, with both sides taking heavy losses. Suddenly, the KRO positions fell silent. The convoy commander, got on the loud speakers on the lead vehicle and said “Attention all KRO defenses, you have taken heavy losses, just like us. If you surrender and throw down your weapons now, you will receive food, water, and medical attention as needed!”. The voice echoed across the field, and the soldiers waited for an answer. “Attention KRO defenses, this is your final warning! Surrender and throw down your arms now and you will receive food, water, and medical attention! Why do you feel the need to keep fighting!?” the commander said. Right before the tanks were going to start firing, KRO soldiers started walking out with their hands up. “Please lay down on the ground in a line and wait for my soldiers to approach you!” the commander said.
