2nd Significance Civil War (IC, MT/PMT)

Postby Significance » Mon Mar 18, 2019 4:42 am

OOC thread viewtopic.php?f=5&t=461117 (Please view before posting)

A group by the name of the Konnach Religious Order (KRO), has risen up seemingly out of nowhere, to oppose the Significance government. They have a fully fledged army to support them, and a message bringing in new converts all the time. They claim that the greater good will set people free, and that only by working together, can greatness be achieved. They also oppose private enterprise, claiming it to be oppressing the masses.

Their demands? For the current Significance government to stand aside, or face the consequences. As a regime driven by individualism and free enterprise, the Significance government of course opposes them.

Both sides have called on anyone to help them, both believing themselves to be the rightful rules of Significance. Who will you back? The collective, or the individual? The greater good, or freedom? Private enterprise, or state run enterprise? Significance's fate, is in your hands.

Emperor's Palace, outskirts of Significance, Significant
The clip clop of heels and the thud of heavy boots could be heard down large marble stairs, As Empress Penny Prince, and her closest associate Charles Paulton, along with a small contingent of secret service agents, walked down into the lower level of the heavily secure bunker beneath the Palace. Penny herself made her way towards a large wooden table and ornate leather chair, overlooking a large screen displaying a map of Significance and troop movements. Charles stood behind her, while one of the secret service agents made their way in front of the table and the Empress.

"Status report on personnel"

Asked Penny.

"Well, all the Senate are accounted for and secure in a secret location, with only a select few knowing there whereabouts. For safety reasons, not even yourself is allowed to know there exact location. As for Advisor Harry...."

The agent was suddenly interrupted.

"Is here!"

could be heard in the stairway, as boots rushed down the stairs, and Advisor Harry Doncaster, and two more secret service agents, appeared. Harry then swapped places with the secret service agent who had been speaking. Penny noticed something, however.

"Where is Frank, wasn't he with you?"

Harry was a little flustered.

"Well, he was, but he managed to disappear on us"

Penny sighed.

"Disappear? Secret service agents aren't supposed to have people disappear on them!"

Charles decided it was best for him to defuse the situation.

"Well, it is Frank. He's known for trying to do things on his own"

Penny sighed again.

"Well there's a civil war going on, so I don't want him to come crying to me when he gets himself injured by his own stupidity. Anyway, I guess it doesn't matter now, he isn't a vital member. Status reports on troops"

Harry merely nodded.

"Significant itself is being surrounded, and a large number of our forces are retreating into the city to hold a defence. This situation appears to be happening across the country, our troops in the cities, the enemy surrounding them. Our Airbases and Dockyard/Naval assets are currently secure, but the enemy may use civilian ports and airstrips to fight these forces. While we have the clear technology advantage, they have the numbers advantage. A distress message has been sent to help relieve our troops, but the enemy has also sent a message to help make a final push. It is now a waiting game it appears"

Penny nodded, understanding what that meant.

The White House, Washington DC
10:11am
President William Sheppard

Spring Break was in full swing. The sun was shining and the on Washington DC. President Sheppard was alone in the Oval Office, his two college-age kids had left early in the morning to meet some friends down in Florida, so it was just him, and his wife Rachael in the White House, with the Vice-President, Malcolm Kendels and his wife, Charlene. As the president read over a law regarding healthcare minimums, Vice-President Kendels walked into the office. "Malcolm, how are you?" President Sheppard said. "Hi Will, you looking over that bill that came from the Hill?" Vice-President Kendels asked. "Yeah, it looks sound, but there are a few things that could be changed" President Sheppard replied. As Vice-President Kendels sat down in front of the Resolute desk, an aide walked in. "Good morning Jacob" the President said. "Mr. President, Mr. Vice-President, you should take a look at this" the aide said as he approached the desk, with a small paper in his hand. It was a message out of Significance, specifically, the Continental Embassy in the capital, Significant. The message was from the Marine Corps Guard Corps. It read "Terrorist attacks across country. Airstrikes, Significant military forces holding defense around city. Evacuating all non-essential personnel. Destroying all documents. Preparing for potential siege. City may fall. Requesting back up". President Sheppard looked up and said "Jacob, ready a press conference. Malcolm, call the Defense Council, have them get ready to meet and plan for a deployment of troops to Significant, to reinforce the defenses of the city. Let's go, American lives are at stake" President Sheppard said.

White House Situation Room...

The Defense Council, which consisted of Sheila McCarthy, Air Force General George Clinton, Army General Simon Wallace, and Admiral Leslie Schultz, were seated around the table in the Situation Room below the White House. They all stood at attention as the President walked in. "As you were" President Sheppard said. Everyone sat down, and President Sheppard said "Okay, what do we know so far?". "Mr. President, the Horae 2 satellite has been moved into position over Significant to highlight enemy strongpoints around the city, and to be honest, the results are not good" General Clinton explained. "What exactly are we facing?" President Sheppard asked. "Artillery, tanks, infantry, SAM's, MANPADS. In short, whatever you don't want to face, is there" General Clinton said. "Where's the nearest carrier?" President Sheppard asked. "The Washington is sailing nearby on exercise, and the John F. Kennedy can be in the area in less than a day" Admiral Schultz explained. "Order the Washington to head towards the coast, and order the Kennedy to move to the south in support of the Washington, and what kind of plan to get our boys on the ground?" the President asked. "We plan to arrive at the Significant airport and set up a base on the property. We will deploy airborne troops by C-17 to the airport to secure the area around it. After that, we will land C-5 Galaxy's on the ground to set up defenses around the airport. When the airport is secured, we will deploy more airborne troops beyond the defenses set up by the Significant Army. When the second wave of airborne troops are on the ground, they will push back toward the defensive line to choke off the offensive lines of the enemy" Army General Wallace explained. "Seems sound, tell congress to vote on the plan, and have the necessary forces mobilize to deploy" President Sheppard ordered.

White House Press Room...

Camera's falshed and video camera's rolled to record the speech the President was about to give. "Ladies and gentlemen, I'll keep this brief. Our duty to the world is to defend and pursue world peace and freedom, and we are being called upon to perform this duty again. The religious terrorist organization, the Konnach Religious Organization, have laid waste to the Empire of Significance. The organization, which opposes the freedom of the individual, and supports the idea of commuism. We will not allow this to happen to the people of Significance, and uphold our duty to the people of the world. We will not falter to the duty to which we hold, and we will send our army to support the rightful government of Significance and to Empress Penny Prince" the President said.

Emperor's Palace
Diplomat Albert Shimt

The diplomat is panting frantically after the run from the Airport in Significance, just an hour ago his plane flew from Warsaw to Significant all the time fearing for his life because of the siege, the bullets of the revolutionaries didn't hit his plane, all that because of president Visco LaStrusse and Parliament wanted to provide help to the people in this country. He found someone in the Palace that looked like an official and asked

"Could I request an audience with the emperor, I'm a diplomat from Endem"

Acacius Acre looked at the crowd. He could see the anxiety in their eyes, knowing what this would be about.

"Ladies and gentlemen. Today, I ask you a question. Do you want to live under the rule of a terrorist organization? Better yet, do you want anyone living under terrorist rule? I would hope not. The Empire of Significance is in it's Second Civil War, and we must interfere, for the better lives of your decedents. We will be sending an army group of 20,000 to Significance, in hopes of helping them win their war. By air and sea, we will win this war. But do not weep for the ones in battle, for they have God's might on their side. And if your brother or sister falls in battle, they have done the best service the could do for this nation, and world. Thank you, and may God bless you."

The guard groaned. There'd already been quite a few civilians trying to seek refugee in the Palace bunker, and he thought this was another one. However, he had to be thorough, as was his duty.

"ID please, passport, documents, anything of that nature"

The diplomat handed the guard his papers. The guard then scanned the documents, and it was clear by his eyes he was surprised. He handed the papers back to the diplomat. Then, he got onto his walkie talkie.

"Ma'am, we'll need you at the front of the palace. It's priority blue"

A few minutes later, a female officer came to greet the diplomat.

"Hello, I am Officer Helena Gallagher. If you'd like to come this way please, sir"

She led him deeper into the palace, and as diplomat walked, he saw dozens of military guards patrolling the building, and defensive weapons set up, pointing towards entrances. The place was on lockdown. They then turned into an office, where the diplomat was gestured to sit down in the office chair, as the officer turned on the computer in front of the table, and set up a conference call between the Empress and the diplomat.

Downstairs, deep in the bunker, the large screen that had shown a map of Significance, now showed the diplomats face, with the officer behind him.

"Sorry to interrupt you, your Majesty, but you have a visiting diplomat from Endem who wishes to speak you"

The Empress finished composing herself. It was clear she had been discussing something important, but she was doing her best hide that.

"It's no bother at all. It's a pleasure to meet you Mr....?"

The diplomat bowed with his neck and

" my name is Shmit, I'm representing the government of Endem, we as a country would like to help in the civil war but, having the limited military we cannot help the government so our Parliament decided that we should ask if we can provide Humanitarian Aid, in form of helping the civilians and protecting them from any atrocities, as soon as the war is over we will return to our country"

Then he added

"The protection is a little bit weird thing, we want to send 3 of 7 infantry divisions we possess to protect the civilians, we won't attack anyone unless directly attacked or civilians are attacked"

Penny smiled. A smaller nation doing it's best to help in such a large war was admirable.

"We would be grateful of the assistance. It is hard to keep civilians safe in times like these. I do wish to caution you however on two things.

One is that the Konnach Religious Order is very effective at getting new converts it seems, we've already heard of plenty of citezens leave the safety of the city to pledge allegiance to them. These new recruits may use your aid to their advantage, and pose as innocent civilians. Be on your guard.

The second thing is that while our military dockyards and airfields have not yet been targeted, with the KRO preferring to use civilian ports and airports in Significance, bar one's located deep in our cities, we will only be able to escort you to our shores with our navy to our naval bases. From there, you will have to find a way into our cities alone, as they are surrounded. Coastal cities like Significant will obviously be no problem, but there are plenty of cities with no access to the sea.

Do you understand what I'm saying?"

Temple Prime, Chrimeran Collective

The desk was ornate and decorative, it was covered in papers of importance from minor to major and the man sat behind it was confident in his ability to read them all and get the issues resolved quickly and resolutely. Kane was a powerful looking figure his bald head and keen eyes standing out as he looked over the papers. He was enjoying the things so far nothing major just simple things like taxes and other decisions he was looking for a specific document on the desk when a hand placed it in front of him, "Situation report Sir." The man said handing the report to Kane. Kane smiled, "Ah yes, I was just looking for this my son, take a seat it would not be proper to not tell you of my grand plan for you." Kane flicked the report open and began to scan it the situation was evolving in Significance in a significant way. "My Son." He said to man sat in front of him Commander Reginald Tiber. The man was a miracle of military command he had successfully led three insurrections on three different continents to fruitful gains for the Collective and now the world was about to be shown the true might of the Collective, it was time for the Collective military to step from the shadows.

"My Son," Kane repeated, "I have a task for you of not so little importance. A religious organisation has taken up the mantles of liberators in the nation of Significance not far to our South. I want you to do the Collectives mighty work and take this new order a gift. As you know the world is still blissfully unaware of Tiberium but it is time for us to plant the seeds of it elsewhere. Take the Black Hand with you they will assist you in this great endeavour and I'm sure your detachment of the Collectives forces will be good help as well, 10,000 men of veteran standing should surely be able to achieve something to assist our new friends. Now go Tiber I wish to hear good word of you conduct in this war soon." With that Commander Tiber stood, saluted and left the room.

Tiber's HQ Southern Chimera

Commander Tibers VTOL came down hard and fast on the bases landing strip. He looked around and saw his senior adjutant, Laura Jones, approaching along with his Second in Command Kiber, "Brother, Sister." Tiber greeted them. None of them were actually related by blood but were related by allegiance to Kane and the Collective. "Commander." They both greeted him. "What are our orders sir?" Asked Laura. Tiber looked at her and smiled, "We are to lead the liberation of a nation from its oppressors by helping a local religious resistance movement in turn we are also going to plant the seeds of tiberium in the nation. Any questions?"
"So a regular Monday?" Kiber joked causing Tiber and Laura to laugh. "It'll take me about two days to get the men ready to launch...but i see you have some assistance already." Kiber continued looking over TIbers shoulder to see the strong, tall and handsome figure of Brother Agil the leader of Kane's elite unit the Blackhand step out from the shadows of the VTOL. "Correct, we will be leaving as soon as we have loaded up with some glorious Liquid T. Time to spread." Tiber said turning and heading into his base.

"Yes, I obviously understand what your majesty is saying, if I didn't what kind of diplomat would I have been, I will be off to inform Endemian government, our volunteers and troops will arrive in about three days via either passenger planes or civilian ships, we hope the situation will improve and KRO will start losing"

With those words, he after once again doing a quick now left the bunker and rushed towards the airport his plane was located on. The takeoff was a rapid one and bullets grazed the plane, but they got out of their range, they were saved, now it was just the back trip to Endem, it would take a little bit, Albert started wondering what Endemian neighbors will do about this war...

Konnach Religious Order Headquarters, unknown location

Clang, clang, clang, rang the ornate golden bell. Soon after, the wooden door next to it opened.

"The Prophet will see you now, High Chaplain Arthur"

Spoke the old, heavily wrinkled small lady who had opened the door. Arthur proudly strode in, as the old lady close the door behind him, before bowing to his glorious leader.

Prophet Petrov smiled at Arthur from his ornate wooden chair and golden table, pointing him towards the slightly less ornate wooden chair in front of him. Arthur obliged and sat down, before Petrov spoke.

"So, what news do you bring me on this glorious day, my loyal subject?"

Arthur smiled back, and handed the Prophet the note they had just recieved. He could see the Prophet's eyes light up as he read the note.

"Fantastic! Simply marvellous! How quickly can arrangements be made for a meeting with these people, High Chaplain?"

Arthur enjoyed seeing his glorious leader like this. It meant today was destined for greatness.

"With haste, my Holiness. I'll make arrangements to meet them at the nearby cargo hub to our north, which will be able to receive them however they choose to arrive, by boat or by plane. I'll also have your Holy Vanguard prepare to escort you there"

Prophet Petrov now boomed his appreciation.

"Then go, as fast as the wind, with fire in your heart, and may the sun guide your path. Today is a great day"

Arthur nodded, and made his way out the room, with the old lady opening the door for him. Before he left, his Holiness had one last thing to say.

"Oh, and High Chaplain"

Arthur paused.

"Inform The Order that Choas has a new enemy today"

Arthur smiled, and nodded, then left the room as the old lady closed the door behind him. It was thanks to The Order that any of this had happened in the first place, and so it was a courtesy to inform them of on going operations. They owed it to them.

Presidential Meeting Room
The President, who oddly looked like more of a General than a president, sat at the table, looking excited at the prospect of a war. The Council of 10, the second ruling elite (President and the Council are elected) , was sitting around aswell. The President spoke in his aged voice, but sounded a bit younger at his excitement, "So, these KRO people are religious, but are more Socialistic Leaning?" The National Security advisor nodded, and added, "Yes, they seem to be at least, and they seem to be doing it well." The President nodded, and asked, "I see, well, I'll draft a message." The Council Disperse, leaving him alone in the elegant room, looking out the large window that could see the entire span of the Mega-city known as Danzig.

To whom this may concern, the Federation of Northern Poland would like to assist you in the struggle of the people against a kingdom of bourgeoisie. We plan to deploy military forces, as well as a lend lease program (Yes, I realize I didn't put this in my application, I hope you don't mind) to assist you. I hope this finds you well.

"High Chaplain, High Chaplain, we've got another message"

Arthur was just on his way out of the compound to make arrangements for the holy meeting he'd talked with the Prophet about before, when the message came in. He walked over to the Informant who had been calling him, and took the note from her hands. After reading the message, he spoke.

"Inform High Chaplain Rita her services are required, as the Prophet will be busy with religious matters, and help her arrange a meeting with these people"

The informant nodded, and Arthur began walking once more, to continue with his own mission.

I regret to inform you our glorious leader, Prophet Petrov Icheb, is currently busy with other matters. However, I have the power to speak on his behalf.

We very much appreciate any assistance you can give, as well as equipment. Most of our own is from the Soviet era, and vastly out of date compared to the Empire's forces, with only numbers being our advantage. If we can close the technology gap, we can surely win a decisive victory.

I would also like to meet the leader of your forces personally, so we can plan our battle strategies together, if that is ok with you. I can arrange a meeting place at a civilian airbase south of out HQ, and will give you the co-ordinates in this message.

May our united might crush the bourgeoisie, and bring about the greater good for all.

The Palace

Again, the guard checked the details. Again, he radioed Officer Helena the code Blue. Again, Helena came over, and escorted the diplomat to the office space. Again, she wired a connection down into a bunker. Again, the Empress composed herself from her busy planning. Again, the diplomat introduced themselves.

"So, Acio, what is it you wish to discuss with us"

Penny asked.

Tibers HQ

Commander Tiber watched the Liquid Tiberium being loaded onto his long range transporter and smiled. He loved the green glow that came off the substance as it was moved into the cargo bay. The Liquid T was part of an experiment authorised by Kane himself to generate a new way to seed Tiberium across the world when the time was ready. Now it seemed the time was ready to spread the glow. "Sir!" Tiber turned to look at Laura as she came out of a sliding door and into the underground hanger bay. "A message from the KRO." She handed him the small, simple message but one that held a key amount of information. "Summon the Black Hand operatives." He spoke quickly and with almost a tone of glee in his voice. "We have a landing zone to reach."

Within an hour of the message being received the Transporter carrying the Liquid T and the 100 soldiers of the Black Hand and Commander Tiber himself had departed for the Supply Hub in the North of Significance. The "plane" touched down at 3:30 am in the morning. The Black Hand troopers marched down the ramp seperating at intervals to form a corridor for Commander TIber and Brother Agil to walk down. The two men couldn't look anymore different Tiber in his combat fatigues and carrying a simple pistol, Brother Agil in complete black body armour and rifle slung across his back. His mask hiding his features as he nervously looked around the hub they had arrived at.

Operation Axelrod

Postby American Continental Republic » Tue Mar 19, 2019 8:17 am

Lt. Samuel "Sammy" Hanson
22nd Airborne Infantry Battalion-The Galloping Ghosts

Over Significance

The journey had been long and difficult, with several air to air refueling maneuvers to get the whole formation to the battlefield. Sleep had not come easy for anyone, either because of the time zones, or the nervousness of the crew and passengers. The planes now descended to jump altitude, and began the flight in. "All jumpers, be advised we're five minutes to drop, commence final preparations" the loadmaster said on the PA system of the C-17 Globemaster. "Let's bring home the bacon" Sammy said to his friend, Lt. Victor "VC" Conway. "Alright Ghost 1 Team, chutes at the ready" VC said. The plane shook and dropped suddenly. "Woah!" Sammy's second in command, Sgt. Zachary "Zap" Pineda said "That's not good". "Calm, down, the ride is only gonna get worse" Sammy said. "Yeah, just pray your dam chute doesn't get tangled" Cpl. Frank "French" Washington said from a few seats down the line. "Hey French, make sure that greenhorn behind you gets down okay" Sammy said, talking about Pvt. Charles "Voodoo" Fowler. "Don't worry boss, I'll be fine" Voodoo shouted from down the line. "Hey VC, your team holding it together?" Sammy asked. "Not sure, ask them" VC replied. "Yeah, we'll hold it together?" VC's second in command, Sgt. Neil "Fletcher" Fitch said from across the aisle. "Just gonna try and keep up" another one of VC's men, Cpl. Ben "Z-Top" Thompson said. "Hey, JJ, you holding it together?" VC asked to his newest guy, Private James "JJ" Jacobson. As the plane flew low, it was rocked repeatedly, either by turbulence, or the pilots trying to avoid fire, but it was best not to ask.

Final approach...

"TWO MINUTES! RISE UP! READY UP!" The loadmaster screamed from the back of the hold. "RISE UP READY UP!" the soldiers responded in unison. They stood up and attached the lines to the cables that ran the length of the cargo bay. As the rear ramp and side jump doors opened up wind rushed through the the plane was rocked with a massive explosion. Out the back, black smoke was visible coming off of one of the engines. It was clearly visible that all the jumpers were praying that they'd at least make it to the ground, watching for the green go light at the back. "GREEN LIGHT! GO! GO! GO!" which was barely audible from the loadmaster at the back of the plane. The line moved quickly as everyone jumped through the doors. As Sammy approached the middle of the plane, the plane was rocked again, and it started to descend. The plane was going down. As Sammy jumped out, he looked back to see Voodoo's chute tangled up and barely deployed. The Flak shells exploded around them as he descended. He hit the ground, and readied his M4A1 Rifle. KRO bullets were whizzing past, but Sammy knew he had to get to Voodoo to mke sure he was okay. Sammy raised his rifle to shoot at a target hiding behind a mound on the grass between the runways. Sammy saw that somehow, the lines of Zap's chute had gotten wrapped around his leg, and he was lucky to have made it down okay. "Boss I'm fine, but i can't feel my leg" Voodoo said. "OKAY!, LET''S MOVE TO THE HANGARS!" Sammy shouted, pointing to the hangars on the south side of the runway.

Aftermath...

The battle was very difficult, but eventually, the airport was secure. The KRO had taken over the airport and based several MiG fighters there. They had been moved before the transports arrived, so they were now top priority to find. The Significance army wa backed into corner and would fall easy prey to the jets if they were allowed to strike the defensive lines. Voodoo had been evacuated to a hospital ship called CNH Hopeful off the coast by helicopter, he had a broken leg, and a dislocated disc in his back sustained on landing. "Now what?" Sammy asked VC who was sitting on his cot in a hangar on the south side of the terminal. "I guess we go wait for orders from above?" VC asked. After the necessary defenses such as SAM's, Artilery, Howitzers, Tanks, and more infantry arrived, they would help bolster the defenses of the Significance Army

En route to Significance

The Group of planes departed from Danzig International, heading to the Civilian airbase that was described. The planes where mostly VIP aircraft, but had a few MIG-35s escorting them.

a few hours later
The planes landed, then the men exited, flanked by members of the Governmental Security Detachment , the leader of the Envoy, Field Marshal Andrek Thomas, looked around him, at the place where Polish troops might fight and die. The man walked, looking at his watch, he looked at his aide, saying, "Alright, let's move to the room where he said he would be." The Aide nodded, and they walked, he pushed open the door.

Danzig Military Port
Regiments of troops where marching around, receiving equipment, and boarding large transport ships. The thumping of boots echoed for miles, along with the noise of tanks and armored vehicles. The Naval and Air groups where organizing, picking the best men they had.

Northern Supply Hub

A loud horn could be heard, as Typhoon class submarine broke the surface. Next, a man in long robes could be seen on top of the conning tower, waving for the men to enter the craft.

Once all were aboard, the craft submerged, and the man introduced himself.

"Welcome to the Holy Vanguard submarine. I am High Chaplain Arthur, and you two men in charge, must be Commander Tiber and Brother Agil. The Order has told us all about you. They are our eyes and ears. Do not be afraid of their knowledge, as it is the thing that will guide us to victory. Now, if you'll just follow me, Prophet Petrov is eager to begin talks"

Arthur lead the guests through the narrow corridors as best as he could, before bringing them to the rear of the ship. Where once this class of submarine had held multiple ICBMs, now the space had been cleared, and rooms had been made as a sort of mobile operations center for all KRO forces, although not as well kitted out as the main HQ.

Arthur then turned right into one such room, a meeting room, with a large, semi circle table and large screen in front of the table. The Prophet sat in the middle of the table, and Arthur joined him to his right. The Prophet then gestured for the guests to sit, of which there were plenty of spaces. He then turned on the large screen, which showed a shadowy figure, who began to speak, with a distorted, almost robotic voice.

"Welcome all to this glorious meeting. I am Legionnaire Five, although you may refer to me as just Five, if you prefer. I am a representative for The Order, an organization that has been assisting the KRO in their noble endeavour.

Commander Tiber, I hear you have an exciting technology that you wish to gift us to help us. Please, tell me about it. I have some reports on it myself, but I want to know details, so we may be able harness it ourselves. Live samples would also be grateful"

Captured airfield

"It seems they have taken the bait"

A older, tall woman in long robes said, as she pulled down her binoculars from her face.

"Yes, Chaplain Melody, and we have extracted all planned equipment and personnel from the airbase. The martyrs gave a valiant sacrifice to pull off this deception"

Said a young man. The Chaplain smiled.

"Well, let their sacrifice not be in vain. Being up the heavy artillery guns, High Priest. If our 'guests' want that airbase, they can have it"

The Palace

Derika wrote:"I want to to discuss the deployment of thousands of Derikan troops to help you." Acio stated.

Penny smiled.

"Any assistance to break these sieges on our cities would be grateful. If you can hit our enemy from behind, we may stand a chance. I can also give you a secure channel code so your leaders may communicate with us without having to risk getting past the siege"

Foreign secretary Kadahan Malell looked grimly at the documents that had recently crossed his desk. reports of a civil war in Significance, leaving the man with quite a dilemma, but one he knew they could not pass up involvement in. But the military would never sanction direct involvement, due mainly to internal issues. Most of the state of Farrasin was under martial law, and the situation was terse to say the least.

But he couldn't sit idly by and do nothing, not at all. They Crysukon people had large stockpiles of food and pharmaceuticals, and a few units could be used to involve themselves in a more diplomatic, more humanitarian way. He took a sip of his whiskey, which his desk was never without and then picked up his phone. "Connect me to Sangh. Authorisation Malell Alpha-four"

"Alueck, we have a situation. If you've seen the file i've sent, we need to do something about significance." Malell opened with. Sangh paused for a moment "and you'll need support for this. Most we can spare is three light infantry regiments, but we can spare additional artillery and anti-tank companies, it'll take some time to transport the forces, as well as set up a pontoon to land supplies, housing for refugees, warehouses, a supply line...we'll need to call a general meeting about this. In the mean time, i'll draw up the needed forces. I'll need you to send a communique to them"

Communication, Crysukon Foreign secretary Kadahan Malell
Recipient: Government of Significance.

Greetings, we note the somewhat disagreeable state of affairs your nation has come to, and we wish to provide humanitarian aid. We intend to set up exclusion zones to recieve refugees, and distribute aid supplies, as well as maintain a small peacekeeping force. We will cooperate with any wishes of your governemnt and people, we want only to minimise the suffering of the people.

Airfield Defense

Postby American Continental Republic » Thu Mar 21, 2019 8:42 am

Sgt. Alexander Hollingsworth- "Holly"
Continental Marines
23rd Regular Infantry Division
Idol Team
Significance Airport

The battle for the airfield had been long and hard, with many good men giving their lives to secure the airfield. Now that the airfield was taken, the necessary equipment was now being flown in by transport craft. Around the airfield, was a wall erected with shipping containers, to allow the soldiers to conduct over watch on the area. There were also patrols being conducted outside the defensive area of the airport in the surrounding area. One soldier patrolling the outside was Sgt. Alexander "Holly" Hollingsworth, from Mobile Alabama. He was in charge of Idol 1 Team, a fire team of soldiers of the 23rd Regular Infantry Division, the Idols. "How much longer do we have on this patrol?" asked LCpl. Dean "D-Tag" Tegrowski, from Green Bay, Wisconsin, asked from the front passenger seat of the HUM-V. "Just long enough to hear you starting to complain" Cpl. Mitchell "Bulldog" Sanderson, from Kentucky, said from behind Holly, who was driving the HUM-V. "No I think he's on to something. If we wait too long, the food in the canteen will be cold" Pvt. Zachary "Zipper" Ferdino, from New York City said. "Zipper, get on the horn and ask the base where we need to go next?" Holly said. "Alamo, this is Idol 1, patrol of sector 3 is complete, requesting orders for sector 4, over?" Zipper said. Instead of a defined order, all that was received was garbled static. "Alamo, this is Idol 1 say again?" Zipper said. "Idol 1, return to base immediately, we're under heavy artillery bombardment!" the mission commander radioed back. "Boss, command-" Zipper said. "I know, let's go" Holly said as he floored the gas pedal of the HUM-V and drove like mad back to the base.

Airport...

The team arrived to see utter destruction unfolding before them. "LET'S GO WE GOT TO GET INSIDE!" Holly shouted. "Alamo, this is Idol. We're outside, the gate is shut, we need to get in!" D-Tag radioed. "Roger, we're sending down a rope" the base radioed back. Artillery shells were roaring past over the wall, landing on the base. "CLIMB!" Holly ordered. The soldiers tried to climb quickly to get up to help defend the base. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?" Holly asked a passing soldier as he reached the other side of the wall. "ARTILLERY IS COMING DOWN FROM THE HILLS ON THE WEST SIDE! COMMAND IS PUTTING SOME TEAMS TOGETHER TO OVERRUN THE POSITIONS!" He responded. "IS THERE ANYONE STILL OUT THERE!?" Holly asked. "BREWSTER AND ICARUS TEAMS ARE STILL OUT THERE, NEAR THE ENEMY POSITIONS!" the soldier responded. Holly shuddered, a close friend of his, Sgt. Cole "Cal" Billsters was on Brewster team. As the rest of the team descended, Holly turned to them and said "Listen up! We still got guys out there! We're going back to get them!". "No way! They're shelling our positions, all around! Are you sure there's even anyone alive out there?!" D-Tag asked. "Doesn't matter, we,re marines! We don't leave anyone behind, living or dead, you know that!" Holly replied.

30 minutes later...

After enough ammunition and brave souls had been mustered, consisting of Continental Troops, and a group of Polish Army men, boarded the few helicopters that had been missed so far by the shells, whoever didn't make it to the helicpoters was indstucted to board some M113 APC's. "Let's go!" the loadmaster of the helicopter said. "Wolf 1-1 going" the helicopter pilot said as the Blackhawk lifted off into the now, night sky. Holly and D-Tag sat on a bench,, with Bulldog and Zipper across from them. Next to them, sat a small group of Polish soldiers. The artillery shells whizzed past the choppers, flying low over the city. "Lt. Marin Krawczyk" one soldier said as he extended his hand to Holly. "Sgt. Alexander Hollingsworth" Holly replied to shake his hand. The helicopter approached the hills and descended into a small courtyard in a house. "Rope's out! Go! Go" the pilot said, holding the helicopter in position carefully. The soldiers descended down the ropes, quickly to make sure the helicopter could retreat. "Lifeline Team, move, the enemy is preparing for a final assault" the base commander ordered. "Lifeline Team, going" Bulldog radioed as he got out of the rotorwash. The team made there way throught the dark streets. As they rounded a corner, Lt. Krawczyk called out "AMBUSH!". The teams fell back into a small alcove. A KRO truck unloaded its cargo of soldiers, who opened fire on the soldiers. "LIFELINE 1 TEAM IS PINNED DOWN!" Zipper radioed. "GRENADE!"one of the Polish sodiers called out as he pulled the pin and threw it twoard the truck. It exploded, killing the majority of the KRO soldiers. The team approached the carnage and saw there was one still alive. Holly dove towards him, grabbed him by the collar nd said "Tell me who organized the bombardment! You start taling or I will hurt you!" Holly said, with visible anger in his face. With difficulty, the soldier replied "You think you can stop the KRO! We cannot be stopped!" with a grin on his face. Holly grabbed a first aid kit and said "You're injured, and you look like you need this more than I do, you tell me who organized this, and you get patached up to go see your friends" Holly said, much more calmly. "You will never know" the soldier repeated. "Let's go" Holly said, as they left the KRO soldier to die.

Artillery position...

"Alamo, this is Lifeline 1 Team, we're at the enemy positions, commencing assault" D-Tag radioed. "Krawczyk, take your men around the other side, go on my mark" Holly ordered, as he pointed to the far side of the atrillery position. "Roger, my men and I are moving" he replied. "Roger Lifeline, be advised, the enemy has encircled our position and are waiting to finish us. We need you to hurry" the base replied. "Roger" Holly replied. "Krawczyk, are you and your men in position?" D-Tag asked. "Yes, we are waiting for your signal" he replied. "Designating target for air support" Bulldog said as he laser designated one of the artillery guns for destruction. Within two minutes, an F-18 that was circling, strafing enemy positions near the base, roared past and released a bomb on the gun. A massive explosion rocked the area "GO! GO!" Holly ordered and both teams breached the position and pushed in. Holly raised his M4A1 and shot a KRO soldier who tried to shoot him. The man fell backwards with two bullets in his body. "Holly on your right!" D-Tag called from behind him. A KRO soldier was charging him with a bayoneted rifle. Holly struck him repeatedly eith the butt of his gun, before finishing him off with a shot to the chest.

After the battle...

The battle raged for a while, but eventually, the enemy guns fell silent, and the base was quiet. At the enemy position, intelligence gathering commenced. In a cellar of the largest building on the compound, Holly went in and saw what amounted to a torture chamber. "Alamo come in" Holly said. "Go for Alamo" the base replied. "I need intel and medevac to Lifeline 1's position" Holly said. "Roger, what do you have?" the base replied. "Interrogation room" Holly replied. As he scanned the room, barely able to avoid throwing up, he saw his friend, Sgt. Billsters. "Cal!?" Holly called as he ran over to him. "Holly?" Cal replied weakly. "I NEED A MEDIC!" Holly called out. "I thought you were dead?" Holly replied on the verge of tears. "They left us here to die after we were captured, our vehicle came under attack. We were interrogated, tortured. Check Jocelyn over there" Cal said as he pointed weakly across the room, wher a bloody Private was laying covered in blood. "Who did this?" Holly asked in utter shock. "Ch...Chaplain Melody" Cal replied very weakly."Command, this is Lifeline 1, I need an intel file opened on a Chaplain Melody" Holly said.

Fall back position, a dozen or so miles from the captured Airfield

"High Priest Gunther, how exactly did you allow the capture of our heavy artillery guns, and a group of prisoners"

Chaplain Meldoy looked down on the High Priest, who had been forced to sit in a chair while she stood over him. It was a good way to show dominance.

"Ma'am, please, they launched a surprise air attack, it caught us off guard"

The High Priest was showing his fear. Melody did not care.

"And what about your treatment of the prisoners. I've heard you used violent methods to try to convert them. Such methods are usually a last resort"

The High Priest shivered.

"They were, more robust, than had been anticipated"

Chaplain Melody laughed, a sarcastic laugh, and the High Priest didn't like it.

"Or maybe, they broke you. Maybe, they are stronger than you. I see now you are unfit for your role. Who is your second?"

The High Priest gulped, he knew what was coming.

"Priestess Charlotte, Ma'am"

Melody smiled, a promising girl.

"Well, now she is promoted to High Priestess, and you, Gunther, are now demoted to Priest. You will report to her, and follow her orders now"

Gunther jumped up in anticipation, knowing there was no point in argueing.

"Yes Ma'am"

Melody stepped aside to allow him past.

"Oh, and Priest, tell the High Priestess to contact command. We'll need an Order strike team to clean up your mess. Hopefully our enemy will get the message"

Gunther nodded, and quickly walked out to perform his new duties. It could have been a lot worse.

As both were given permission to arrive, a small group torpedo boats watched the ships sail towards the Government docks.

"Chaplain Herbert, what are our orders"

The Chaplain waved down his associate, trying to calm him.

"We wait, when the ships dock, then we pounce. Remember, we aren't attacking them, just stealing supplies. The KRO has many mouths to feed, and we can't let the Government sympathizers be fed instead. They need to understand it's us or damnation"

His associate merely nodded.

Northern Significance, KRO Supply Hub

The two men sat at the table and looked at the shadowed figure with intrigue. When the question about the tiberium was asked Tiber smiled, "I'm afraid Five that the sample I intended to bring with me has been moved...elsewhere. You will soon be shown the power of tiberium, but unfortunately I have orders to seed it here and those orders from my master and the prophet of the truth of tiberium must be followed. However I will explain quickly, tiberium is the name given to the substance that we discovered in our homeland over twenty years ago. It seeps into the earth, collecting valuable metals, ores and other such things to it as it goes and then resurfaces as crystals. This gives it very high energy and economic value, however it has an unfortunate trade off in being incredibly toxic to humans, parts of our nation have been designated red by Kane as the ion storms and other effects of the tiberium, water pollution and radiation and such, have made those areas too dangerous to inhabit. Now I do have a sample of it in liquid form, still toxic to humans but a bit easier to weaponise and seed. Any Questions?" TIber asked looking between the two men before him and the shadowed figure on the screen.

First Bomber Seeder Squadron

The stealth bombers moved fast through the Significance airspace. They had been deployed from the Collective and were reaching the limits of their range having come from the Pacific Ocean and the hidden island of Chimera. But they were nearing their target. A small city of little importance in the war called Calmera, "What a name!" One crew member commented to his friend as they flew through the night sky. The city was coming into view as the thirty planes of the First Bomber Seeder Squadron drew close. "Okay be prepared for some chop, we're about to lose stealth." A pilot said to his co-pilot and bombardier. The two men looked at each other then back at the pilot who nodded, "Bombing time!" He shouted. The Bombardier nodded and ran back down the plane to check all the bombs inside his plane. Every fifth bomb was glowing as the tiberium inside attempted to escape from its containment but it was time to release. In total each plane carried twenty bombs for a grand total of six hundred bombs (OOC: I don't have a maths qualification so that maybe wrong please correct me if so. i will change it!) The bombs began to drop from the sky over the city and fell as buildings began to come in range of the sensors in the bombs the rockets inside them activated and flew them towards the nearest building. The tiberium filled bombs fell aimlessly though and as explosions and other violence filled the air around them they dropped into buildings, alleyways and streets, opening and filling the area around it with green crystal shards. The shards quickly began to take root, borrowing through to start finding metal, minerals, ores anything they could find the crystals began to and soon the city of Calmera would find itself infested with TIberium.
