Yes, there is. Lack of story, info, etc. Any experienced RPer would tell you that. We are all above the age of 8 and can write a paragraph. The more detailed the RP, the better.

Unless you're not trying to tell a story, and have no interest in typing out a world-building essay for the 8th grade.

One-liners are extremely efficient in battle RP's, especially when you don't have to write a news report to describe "Squad A moves Eastward to the mountains to prepare for Enemy C's attack.", to which Enemy C can respond with "Enemy C doesn't see Squad A's movement, and carries out the attack on the Eastward Mountains." without having to describe each and every member of the squad and my fantasy ideal squad leader in excruciating detail that nobody will ever read, nor care about.

Of course one-liners are inadequate for world-building and character development, but for large-scale RP's with emphasis on tactics and similar, one-linear's should be more then welcome in getting your point across without the unnecessary content filler.

Nor do we want one sentence Kindergarten speak.

No they aren't. Have you seen a well thought out RP compared to one full of one liners? It terrible lol. And all it does is trash the RP. You must describe what that unit is doing, what weopons they are using and how they are using them. Possible vehicles being used in support, all unanswered.

Not all RP's filled with one liners fail.

But you're missing the point by a mile. I've seen both and both have their advantages, but if I was ever to RP, say a war or a gunfight with someone, one-linear's will always reign supreme.

I'm not going to blog about what exact caliber of weapons my squad is using, what model, year, and license plate of every vehicle I requisition, describe word for word who in my squad is coughing and when, just to put across the point of "Squad A moves to Point B." It's filler, it's unnecessary, nobody cares, nobody will read it, and that's what really "trashes" the RP.

But at this point this is threadjacking. We'll take it to TG's if we have to argue further.

I only did this because a friend of mine Krbustan recommended it to me (not that he is to blame for all of this). I decided to do it. Before I did it I just was going to tell everybody in my region that this was happening and update them on how the war is going. Once I put it on here it was fine... For like half an hour. Immediately after that The GSR and The Newark Aristocracy started causing trouble. How naive I was when I said the rp was going great. This is my first rp I've made and the 3rd one I've been on. It's not a very good first impression don't you think? The only things posted on this rp now are things out of context from other people and the treaty that i will make. Now don't get me wrong. Nations like The Black Party, Pan-Asiatic States, Barfleur, and Coflandia (and many more) were great but there were some not so good people on the rp that messed everything up. Thank you for taking part in this rp.

Sincerely,
New Narsia

awwww, its fine dude, we can start another one. maybe make it so we have to submit apps next time...

and that speech tho. That was epic

No they wont.

That's why no seasoned RPers do one liners. Its RP, it makes for a better RP with story telling.

No one said anything about caliber lol. Although it would matter of your troops were hit and they had some sorta vest. Maybe it would save a life depending on the caliber.

[ OOC: I'm just gonna occupy Andrews now, don't mind me. If anyone wants to battle, come at me. ]

Andrews
Cromwell Island
March 10

With the assault finished and the main elements deterred the last of the city's resistance had finally been taken care of. In the night, silent Fascist snipers still shook the men's complacency; and during the day, guerilla activity remained rampant. Nevertheless, the city's inhabitants were relieved to have gotten rid of the fringe and radical elements that had taken hold of their city, and whether through sheer fear, political subversion, or perhaps even some reliance, the citizens were pacified from interrupting vital strategic activity conducted by Pan-Asiatic military officials.

Nationalist sentiments incurred a few incidents to occur, and those who resisted through violent means disappeared into the night, reported as battle casualties and never spoken of again. The press was completely in the dark, and veered away from reporting such activity. Thus, with a strong foothold on the urban center, High Command began plotting further offensive activity Westward.

On the night of March 10, the elements of the 77th previously AWOL were finally found in the middle of the surrounding jungles. They had been pinned down by an encampment not far away from their position. An aerial strike was approved, and Scarlet Devils erased that encampment from history.

Many remain repulsive of the army's excessive use of bombardment, but there was little they could do now. For now, the night passed on and the Pan-Asiatic contingent hid in the shroud of a full moon, celebrating victory like wolves howling at their opponent.
