With rules already present detailing how a nation must prove it landed on any celestial body before claiming it and the fact that Portinabia has adjusted its claim to Ceres, we no longer believe any further action should be taken against Portinabia.

While the subject of space claims is still relevant, we wish to notify the UN that the space claims dispatch should be amended to add our claim on the asteroid Vesta in the asteroid belt. It has been a while since we’ve landed and a mining operation has already been set up.

Multiple times nations, not only from The Union of Nations but others as well, have attempted to make contact, discuss, and disclose these conditions involving citizens of the 2nd Ottoman Sultanate. Each and every one of these times has failed. As of current situation, 2nd Ottoman Sultanate is demanding payment in exchange for evacuating his unwanted citizens. Other nations have expressed interest in welcoming them, going as far to provide transport, but to no avail.

(iii) - Unlawful Execution

Citizens, residents, and immigrants under 2nd Ottoman Sultanate have been executed for showing remote interest in an orthodox other than what the theocracy has assigned. Multiple nations have requested alteration of such punishment, and while the executions is not defined as illegal under their set of laws, most nations have taken to seeing this as unlawful and unwarranted action.

We of the Most Serene Republic are in full agreement with our allies to the North. For too long, the Ottomans have been conducting blatant human rights abuses to their non-Muslim citizens and have been creating hassle after hassle at all attempts to save these minority groups by the international community.

However, we must prioritize saving these minority groups before getting too hasty. Diplomatic options and covert operations to smuggle them out should be conducted before continuing with more serious economic sanctions and putting boots on the ground to force a regime change.

Dear Secretary General,

The Djoshenii are a peaceful people and in fear of the conflicts of the world put ourselves into isolation and frowned upon international cooperation and regional integration. Joshenia upholded the values of peace, justice and the universality of human rights within its own borders but we never saw the irony that by ignoring the problems in other countries because of their culture and values we were going against universalism and believing in cultural relativity. With the crowing of her Imperial Majesty Kaiserin Lauren II of the house Thalberg, Joshenia has recently decided to get out of its isolationist policy. Joshenia through its Most Gracious Kaiserin has come to realise that nations such as the Ottoman Sultanate have communal societies that promote group rights however when an individual in these societies does not conform he/she loses their group rights and they are suppressed and shunned by society. The Kaiserin and the Joshenian people believe that every individual is born free and hence have the right to all the rights given to them by mother nature and should not lose their rights because they do not conform to cultural norms. The Union of Nations holds the same believes as Joshenia and in its bid in moving away from isolation it would like to join the Union of Nations in order to fight against the injustices that individuals suffer at the hands of communal societies such as the Ottoman Empire. Joshenia believes group rights are tribal and do not protect everyone but universal rights protect all individuals and it hopes that the Union of Nations will consider Joshenia's application to such a great international body.

Leadership in Korochunov has been debating whether or not to support the claims of PotaTown for weeks, but they have now come out with a statement. A representative from the Proletarian Senate, speaking on behalf of Korochunov, had this to say:
"The horrific actions undertaken by the 2nd Ottoman Sultanate are to be considered unlawful violations of basic human rights. REPORT ON 2nd Ottoman Sultanate HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS

Joshenia hereby denounces the 2nd Ottoman Sultanate according to the prior denunciation document by Potatown and the human rights violations committed by the Sultanate.

• Ottoman Sultanate introduced a law that states that "Kafirs" or non-Islam believers who did not follow Islam principles or go to the mosque on friday would be executed. This law breaksArticle 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) which states "Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.", it also breaks Article 3 of the UDHR which states Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person..
  
• The Ottoman Sultanate has created a Moral Police force to enforce its moral laws according to Islamic principles. The moral police have targeted minorities, civil rights activists, non-Islamic faiths which include christianity, LGBT citizens, feminists and journalists who dare to stand against the injustices of the government. The moral police has been known to use physical and psychological torture which breaks Article 5 of the UDHR which states No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.. In our investigation one feminist who will remain anonymous reported that as she was being questioned they put her baby in another room and she would hear her baby crying as they threatened her, in another case Can Altan a journalist was killed by the moral police and chopped into pieces and sent to his news agency to warn them against reporting news not favourable to the regime.
  
• When citizens are targeted by the Ottoman moral police no trial is carried out instead the moral police acts like the judge with the targeted party with no defence. They are tortured until the accept the crime then executed either by beheading, electrocution or hanging. After this their families are declared enemies of the state and the media defames the family name. This breaks the following laws : Article 10 of the UDHR- Everyone is entitled in full equality to a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal, in the determination of his rights and obligations and of any criminal charge against him. and Article 12- No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.
  

As shown in the report the situation for an estimated 320,000 christians and many others in the Ottoman Sultanate is horrible, they are in dire need of saving or else we will have a genocide. Lets not forget the Ottoman Sultanate has done this before against the Armenian people. Lets not just watch as people lose their dignity and life. I call upon all Union of Nations members to support Potatown by denouncing the Ottoman Sultanate and by supporting the Joshenian Empire in a crusade against the barbaric Ottoman Sultanate. Any nation that stays idle in this conflict is endorsing the Ottoman Sultanates infraction on its citizens human rights.

"I believe that the crimes committed by the 2nd Ottoman Sultanate are unignorable. Polling on the topic began in Itoshic and has shown the the people agree. They should be charged to the best capability of the U.N." he pauses to shuffle his notes, "We also believe that any extra-terrestrial land claims should be restricted to simple research facilities and telecommunication sites, terraforming should also be made unlawful until further notice, and large land stakes shouldn't be made as so to protect the wonders of these celestial bodies for nations that are not yet capable of space travel. Also yes, I am aware that I am late to this debate."

He pauses then continues,

"We also would like to bring into question GAR #464 and in-general the protection of a nation's aerospace. We personally think that the protection of aerospace should depend on the situation. If it's a simple commercial flight than no barriers (outside of customs) should impede the ability of transport, however if it is a military function than limitations and "blockades" should be permitted. The reason for lesser limitations on the commercial aeroflights is due to incidents such as the Berlin Airlift, while it was a military powered airlift, it was a commercial and humanitarian effort, this would also be the only exception to the military function section."
