Kuwait City fell to the Knights of the Electorate and the Imperial Special Forces within five hours. Resistance was minimal. The Kuwaiti government would, given territorial losses, like to operate from neighboring New Sistonia.

OOC: For anyone possibly participating in the coming battles, I don't know if I'll have the time tonight to update the relevant dispatches and assess bonuses, troop counts, etc.

Therefore, until I get that all sorted out, you are NOT to engage the enemy and destroy any forces. We do not know the chances of victory or defeat, much less other effects. If you post such, it will be disregarded as if it never happened.

Operation Gatling

Today, a massive counter-attack by Rhodes-Land was carried out involving members of the Scout regiments, supported by the RhAF, Armoured regiments and the Rhodesian African Rifles aimed at keeping the rebel forces at bay to give time for the UN relief force to arrive and organise themselves.

At 06:30, Strategic and Tactical bombers began bombing the rebel encampments, supported by strike fighters and artillery bombardments. The Fighters easily gained aerial supremacy, giving the RhAF free reign to attack the ground forces and provide close air support for the upcoming ground battle.

At 07:30, troops from 2nd Battalion Rorke's Scouts engaged the rebels in the South, supported by the 4th Rhodesian Tank Regiment.They would defeat the rebel force and inflict heavy casualties, driving them further away from the Capital.

At 07:45, troops from the 6th and 3rd Battalions, Rhodesian African Rifles engaged troops to the East of the Capital, supported by the armour from the 1st Rhodes Dragoon Regiment and once again inflicted heavy casualties and drove the rebels back from the capital

At 08:15, the 1st Battalion Cape Scouts supported by 4th Battalion Rhodes' Scouts supported by the 1st Rhodes Tank Regiment attacked the rebels to the North, crushing the forces there and once again pushing the rebels away from the Capital.

At 08:30, troops from the 10th Battalion Rhodes' African Rifles and the 1st Battalion Chard's Scouts with armour from the 2nd Victoria Lancers. The troops to the North were defeated and pushed back.

By 09:00, the operation was over and the entire rebel force had been defeated and pushed further back from the Capital with a much smaller number of troops, showing the power of combined arms and meticulous planning.

The operation was a complete success with few casualties for the Rhodes-Land forces, despite being heavily outnumbered. Even though the rebels were not decisively defeated, this attack should give enough time for the remaining civilians to evacuate and UN troops to establish themselves.

A statement from the Rhodes-Land government has made:

"This is the most involved and complex combined operation ever undertaken in the history of our nation and we are proud to say it was in defence of a nation against a rebel force seeking to usurp the government. Rest assured, decorations shall be given out to soldiers who went above and beyond the call of duty. The Suebian Expeditionary Force (20k troops/100 tanks/1000 APCs/500 transport helicopters/100 eurotiger helicopters) has been relatively quiet in the south-Jerusalem region. The commisioned General Switzer has testified that the new finnish AKs(former Kronshdtad weapons) are well built and preforming perfectly

The Suebian Kaiser/Monarchy and Military is in favor of a new resurgent Christendom and if needed later in this conflict will dedicate resources and blood to ensure the unification and vitality of this holy mission. Our greatest allies outside of Kronshdtad are the Shakadians(Islamic Majority) and we wish for the Muslim population in the area to be cared for as we crusade once more against the enemies of our people. Perhaps soon Constantinople will be liberated and the portraits of the Christ inside the Hagia Sophia will harken its ears to the singing of his followers as they worship in peace.

The Electorate Empire's strategy is as follows:

All Electorate forces are being withdrawn from Kuwait. Kuwait City has already been abandoned.

The Electorate Armaments Rad-3 Anti-Missile Laser Defense System has been put into operation over the Electorate Empire.

Except for the KKS and the Expeditionary Fleet, the Imperial Electorate Naval Service will be used within the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea for homeland defense. The KKS and the Expeditionary Fleet will land an invasion force of 281 Chasseurs Alpins, 2250 grenadiers, 500000 line infantry, 110 Hunters, 100000 militiamen, and 2000 Special Forces along with 1575 gunboats (PT and S-boats) in Cymiopolis. 11500 tanks, 3000 IFVs, 17000 utility vehicles, and 10000 gun trucks, will be deployed as well. We can expect cooperation from approximately 70000 Electorate detainees within Cymiopolis. The fleets, which consist of 6 Admiral Kutzenov-class aircraft carriers, Shokaku-class aircraft carriers, 2 Iowa-class battleships, 6 Type 052D class destroyers, 6 Kirov-class cruisers, 20 Scharnhorst-class cruisers, 2 Álvaro de Bazán (F100)-class frigates, 5 Canberra-class amphibious assault ships, 5 Royal John-class (unlicensed Juan Carlos I-class) amphibious assault ships, 150 Sierra II-class U-boats, 3 Oscar II-class U-boats, and 1575 gunboats & unclassified flotilla will remain for coastal bombardment except for the amphibious assault ships and gunboats which will be used in the invasion. Should Cymiopolis agree to cease hostilities, all forces will be withdrawn.

3310 grenadiers, 1065934 line infantry, 236008 militiamen, and 2000 Special Forces, 74332 panzergrenadiers, 2000 housecarls, and all remaining equipment and soldiery from all Electorate armed forces will be dedicated to defense against Shakadia and any other countries who may attempt to attack the Electorate proper. This includes Jordan. To understand the magnitude of each of these forces, please see our military factbooks. Please note that there are over a million aEgis II autoturrets along the borders of the Electorate proper and almost two thousand in Jordan. The Electorate has four large lines of fortification, the Charles Line which bisects the country and the John Line between the Charles Line and Riverdale, the Riverdale Line around the Riverdale Electorate, and the Sea Wall which completely surrounds the country including all of the viable beachheads and entry points. Further, the Electorate has many nuclear-capable missiles, many of which can be deployed from many of the naval vessels of the Electorate.

Chasseurs Alpins are elite mountain troops, Hunters are elite trackers and snipers, and the militia are experts at Vietcong style guerrilla tactics. Desert fighting is the specialty of the other members of the Imperial Electorate Army. Special Defense Operations engages in black operations. Imperial Special Forces are the best-trained force of the Electorate, engaging in unconventional warfare, foreign internal defense, special reconnaissance, direct action, and counter-terrorism but specializing in counter-terrorism.

Also note that 300+ is not 300 but an indeterminate number much larger than 300.

OOC: I told you via telegram that you cannot invade Cymiopolis without engaging their fleet first. It was already in the South Atlantic well before your fleet's arrival. This invasion is not happening yet. Please listen to what I said next time.

[OOC]We have no detainees from the Electorate and 70k seem like an absurd number of sleepers within my borders considering we had no diplomatic interactions before. Also Aqaba is in the middle of a UFN naval landing. How are nukes getting through and WHY are nukes being used?I get you want to win the war, but wait for the dice roles which are being managed by Karteria, everyone’s favorite unbiased arbiter

OOC: You said that your carrier (which somehow got close enough to the coast) launched grenades into Cymiopolis, which "signals the beginning of the Electorean invasion." That sounds a lot like you are engaging your forces, on the contrary.

The Suebian Expeditionary Army has marched north into Jeruslem. Kaiser Shultz will declare this city and the 20x20 miles south of it as part of Byzantine-Suebia. We will use Suebian legality over this territory and its governor/christian leadership will be in close relations with Kronshdtad-Antioch. All soldiers will soon leave and only 500 will remain for governance duty. Prior Isreali law will remain and Suebian financial/food aid will be sent monthly. Once things are stable, a new Church named the Barbarossa Cathedral will be built.
