Knowing they are being surrounded, the defenders of Pueblo Ignacio will make an attempt to retreat north and flee, especially after the Bellringers take the church.

I finally posted. Mostly a meeting in my TIS, but also setting the stage for the showdown. Ball is in Dothrakia's and Mik's court now.

AM, I was hoping to set up a meeting between my assistant director and the AMI, get the bureaucracy turning.

Aye, aye.

Thuz, what is the name of the flagship of your advance fleet, the one that will presumably shoot down the fighter?

Once PI is done I'll follow up.

Sorry about the delay on that. I haven't even touched my laptop since I flew in to Edmonton, so I really haven't had a chance to finish my posts. I'll get there some time today, after I hit up the Art Gallery of Alberta.

Sorry about the wait, guys. I had a whole different post written, but realized I had the Chekov's Gun of the third string-grenade and I felt like this was clever. Plus, a giant explosion in one of the belltowers would likely call attention towards the church, which is fun. From here, I'm going to shift to Sul's perspective for maybe one last post about the battle before calling it.

Should be able to post tonight. Menna Shuli I would like the Javierian General to stop salute the unit in the church and be the one to give them the nickname Bellringers. [nation]Dormill and Stiura] your troops and the 11th battalion have collided and are now stalemated. This keeps you in the conflict. Let me know when you can get active again.

All cool with me.

How about we date the naval aircraft incident to 9 April, 2019.

Good post, Wellsia. Lets me tie a bow on Pueblo Ignacio and move forward. I'll probably timeskip to the current day afterwards to allow for the establishment of the Mennan base and reequipment and reinforcement from the homeland. Then we can start next steps.

Alright, I've posted what's happened with my guys so we can wrap up the battle at PI.

Thuz, we can start to do naval stuff whenever you're ready. If you could make a post to set the scene I'll follow up. My fleet's movements are mostly going to be reactionary.

We can start dealing with the fallout of the battle and planning for Constantina. Would it help if I made a map of the Constantina area?

What size of forces are we looking at for Constantina, it is the center of oil production and the south end of the railroad. Wellsia has two battalions with a total of 1500 men, Balnik has 500 mercs, plus Javierans. The smallest force I can see is between 5,000 and 10,000 defenders.

I'd say the upper end of that. Frankly, I would like to lose that battle.

I think that can be arranged. Lol

Long time no see, everyone.

So, after being away from this (and still impressed it hasn't died entirely), I've been thinking of how I should handle the remainder of the story from my end. Ultimately, I know that D&S will be pulling out around now (probably on the 22nd to be more precise) so I'll want to do two more posts on the main thread for the Battle of Rio Pena and the Battle of Castillo Verde. After that, I'll be doing news posts for the intervening periods between those two through the eyes of an investigative journalist from a smaller news agency, spilling the story of why Dormill and Stiura got involved and casting serious doubt on the Dyson Administration. It will also be in these news posts that I'm going to start the oil panic as prices begin to rise and the government of one of the Republics (I'm thinking either Stiura or Kapolder) responds by levying a gas tax on drivers to handle the situation and encourage people away from using gasoline.

As for the aftermath, I'll be thinking on that but I want to work with Wellsia on developing our newfound rivalry and how to capitalize on it without either of us feeling like we're taking the short end of the stick, probably starting with posturing over Charbagnia and developing as I build the Southern Sea Economic Advancement Agreement before we reach our Thucydides Trap later on this year.

For Menna, is there anything you want to do with Dormill and Stiura in the aftermath of this war in San Javier? I'd be interested in our nations burying the old hatchet and develop a new relationship.
For Thuz, I feel like having one more instance of naval posturing between us after San Javier, probably around Swaneeak. Other than that, I'd want to normalize relations.
For Miklania, I'll be down for cooperation with the MSTO over the summer, perhaps a RIMPAC wargame or something else to show that D&S might be interested in further aligning with the MSTO.

In any case, I am beyond glad at how this RP turned out over the last several months. This was basically my first real crack at being an OP (Co-OP to be more precise, I have to give Menna all due credit for his help as well) and it has certainly helped me become better at doing this and has seeded more ideas for me to use in my continued efforts as SoRP to really make TWI's RP more renowned.

Alright. Now that the battle of PI has wrapped up its time for the 500 to mobilize. Where would San Javier like them to be, Menna?
