The main thing is that the support for me seems larger and stronger. The support for SJ seems to be more plentiful but less overt.

To reiterate my purposes of operating in SJ I shall reiterate them here.

1. D&S: Since Balnik and Dormill have had a turbulent historical past and since Dormill insists on continuing his neo-imperialist conquest of many different regions across the Isles, Balnik would like to put a stop to this and as a result will provide SJ with mercenaries and weapons to halt the invaders.

2. Money: Balnik and it's criminal underworld are closely intertwined, and not much happens without Balniks oversight, however as a return of the criminal organizations paying money to Balnik, they are allowed to operate more freely and gain access to an incredibly profitable drug smuggling route to SJ and across the Isles. SJ changing government, being occupied, or simply suppressing it's own criminal activities would be a major loss of income in the Balniki smuggling ring, and in turn Balnik itself.

3. Oil: With oil being potentially disrupted by the conflict in MS and SJ, this leaves Balnik in a dangerous spot where most of its energy production depends on oil imports. Oil prices raising would certainly harm the Balniki economy in many ways as it would need to rapidly change to inward production or forking more money for more expensive oil from other nations.

Alrighty, so in response to my post about involvement from 7 or so days ago: I can see San Montagna supporting Menna Shulli as a way to combat the drug trade, as the drugs would be finding their way into San Montagna through Menna Shulli, at least, I'm assuming so

Miklania, we could do a meeting of some generals of ours discussing what's going on in Menna until our nations get involved. Discussing the MSTO and whether or not it would be wise to ask for Corindia and Norstham to follow in or whatever. Could be good for some world-building, especially as we start to prepare for involvement.

Sounds like a good idea. I don't feel the need to drag MSTO into this, it's not really anything that would trigger the collective defense clause, and politically it's better to try and clean up our own mess as quietly as we can. Making it into a huge multi-national spectacle is the last thing we want to happen.

Menna, would I be correct in assuming that the communists probably have control of Isla San Martin and Isla Mujeres for the moment? And, if I may, could I take control of what is left of the communists from an OOC standpoint in a similar way as I did the PLF in Orsandia?

Well I had suspected most of the remaining commies were all bunched up in tiny communes in the eastern mountains of San Javier proper, as was suggested by the original RP.

However at the same time I also had a thought of the Commies being on the northern islands because they’d be relatively safe from the main island. Either works for me so take whichever you want and let us know what you’re going to do.

If you are working with MS, we could very much use you for what I later plan to do- start funneling in aid and construction supplies to improve the communists lives, which would have been neglected over the last 2 years due to focus on the mainland and industrial rather than residential infrastructure. We would (in the long term) also be aiding the communists by slowly building up their influence in the region. My side in the RP is basically trying to set up a group that is more prepared for peace than any of the other groups. They can win politically in whatever state will be set up afterwards because if Polar is involved, it will be some form of democracy.
