As mentioned in the RMB. Vibor is happy to provide transport for Mennan warriors in the form of Helicopters and Landing crafts. A handful of Vibor Legionnaires to assist with the ground effort would likely be included. Otherwise the Legionnaires can also gather intelligence or Recon on SJ for the coalition forces.

I think the way this will start initially will be MS bungling into the initial invasion, and then others stepping in soon thereafter. Does that fit with everyone?

My plan for the Sindicato is for them utilise their transnational influence to build up peace movements (with the potential to become militant), opposing the invasion, around the Isle painting San Javier as a defenceless nation in the face of rampant imperialism (such a narrative would play well in former colonies like D&S and Miklania, yes?) and putting pressure on the nation's aiding Menna's invasion. I'm thinking something similar to the Vietnam protests with a bit of Baader-Meinhof sprinkled in. This would occur alongside more conventional support for the cartels such as supplies and training. Thoughts?

If you did that, it would be a way to draw me into the story on the national level.

The only issue I see with that is because they are ruled by a military junta, the gov would not want to appear weak. But you could still play off of anti imperialist sentiment and just claim that this is modern imperialism.
If you played it like that you would probs get some former colonies and Thuz. So long as the gov isn't too authoritarian the gov could count Dothrakia as a supporter as well, but we'd most likely just be trying to protect the sovereignty of SJ and wouldn't make the first moves towards actual conflict unless something really major was to happen.

Suvurnia will try and further its business interests, but as in terms of foreign policy we are a bit of a DS lapdog don't expect us to help defend the junta.

Anti-war protests on top of an oil shock will certainly change the political tone in Dormill and Stiura. People will begin to question the point of the fight and challenge President Dyson's leadership abilities, which may ultimately precipitate into Dormill and Stiura pulling out of the war entirely to save face, leaving Miklania and Polar (basically the MSTO as a whole) a huge opportunity to gain a stronger foothold in the Southern Sea, which goes completely against Dormill and Stiura's interests.

That would be a fascinating shift in the balance of power. It also basically sets up MS and SJ as staging grounds for MSTO force projection in the east.

And if that's how things go, it'll really solidify my alliance with Noronica, since myself, Mik, and Noro have discussed how our relationships will go in the near future. Both Noro and Mik want me on their side of an eventual cold war so it will be up to whatever leadership in D&S that takes charge to choose either or neither side.

Seems like we're getting fairly close. Mipax should reveal the San Javier-Warlords connection soon, which will lead to the ultimatum, which will lead to the invasion. Maybe by the end of the week or next week at the latest?

Will there be some kind of military coordination so there isn't a lot of armies mixed up in a small area ?

As I've said, I think MS is going in alone initially, which will be a clusterfuck of epic proportions. Once everyone else steps in, yeah, obviously there will be coordination between commands. That's usually how these things go.

The OOC will be used to pitch ideas. We'll all likely have a command NPC of sorts and will basically run our own operations, but everything will be coordinated.

It's more realistic tbh. Plus it would make an interesting political situation. The military leaders blame their failure on the politicians, the politicians blame the military.

This rp is a good example of an impromptu military rp. Skim over posts by the big players (dorm, samu, oste, orsandia, and I) and see how we did it. The key is making sure you coordinate the big plan with the OP and others. The ooc should be well used. Generally, the big picture is pretty stable while the players have the freedom to rp the details. Sometimes something as simple as samu trying to rp an embarrassing moment with his gf calling accelerates or changes the big picture. When all goes well, it's a fun experience.

There's a bit of preamble that I think we may need to do. I'll probably write an OP once the ultimatum is given.

Menna, Polar Svalbard could definetely help in logistics in the middle stages of the war. Air transport and all that. Marine-Angrepskraft could help out. If I could get involved I'd like to, but definitely in a small supporting role. Don't want to step into your spotlight at all or take up room from other people.

So, let's summarize what we have so far:

Balnik: Supporting San Javier with weapons and troops in an attempt to resist D&S's hegemony over the Southern Sea.
New Totzka: Syndicate trying to eat up the cartels.
Thuz: Trying to help rebuild the communists under the cover of the conflict.
Van: Still building railroads. Supports government of SJ maybe?
Wellsia: Against D&S, so supporting SJ
Belle Ilse: Maybe covert support of SJ?
Almorea: Role unclear, but there to disrupt petroleum exports. This could mean anything, since both sides have oil producers.
Polar: Supporting MS
Dothrakia: Unclear.
Suv: Support D&S maybe?
San Montagna: Maybe involved but no info provided.
Mik: Supporting MS, probably.

Vibor has left but if he returns, he has his role locked in for supporting MS. This is a lot of people. We should get a clear plan in place.

Good on my end

Just to add to add to what I plan to do here:

I plan to try and build the communists up by controlling the rural civilian population from an ooc stand point. We all know the factions with guns, but what about the workers in the fields and villages? With no real central government to speak of save the last two years, villages and small towns will have formed their own unique ways of governing themselves and dealing with the warring factions. I plan to try and have my TIS guys work to grow civilians trust in the communists. In this rp, it may add a touch of humanity to the conflict. In the next, it may be the beginning of a homegrown communist state.

My OOC goals in this would be to world build through rp the way civilians have survived over the years and how they operate and benifit/dont benefit from the new regime. As this rp plays out, I would try to rp these guys reacting to it.

Icly, my TIS agents will work to reshape the image of the communists, mass producing propaganda in the cities and finding ways to earn the trust of the locals on the isle. It would make sense for my nation to take this route as it's current government strongly believes in communist ideology and that by creating a homegrown revolution, they can create natural socialist states. Its also really cheap compared to starting a civil war or running an insurgency.
