The nation of Essotori, a nation forged in blood, led by the Nozerods, a dynasty of Kings, directly descended from the first warlord to reach the shores, and creators of the nation. The nation of Essotori has an incredibly mysterious history, due to the sheer power of the government to regulate history. From what we have been able to gather, from military historians, scarce government documents and refugees, the nation of Essotori is in reality only around two centuries old, formed violently by a King, forcing two ethnic groups to swear fealty, then over time the nation became more and more cult like. Interviewing Essotori refugees is a puzzling, yet humbling experience, they seem confused and shocked that life outside of it's borders isn't constant chaos and barbarity. The majority of them however, refuse to be named, perhaps fearing the infamous "Angels of Essotori", death squads, or just deeply embedded mercenaries, composed of the nation's most hardened, most zealous supporters of the regime, whose sole purpose is to reside in foreign countries and execute people deemed a particular threat to the government, "bringing them to justice", according to "leaked" orders. (These leaked orders are signed directly by the Nozerod, James Hill, and is the only proof we have of his name!). One of the most confounding facts about the regime, is that despite maintaining almost total isolationism, the military and economy doesn't lag behind other nations, the military being up to date, even innovating in tactics! One theory is that the nation maintains a rigid network of spies and enforcers, leaching technology and news from host nations. But today, the Nozerod has announced to the world that he will be giving an announcement internationally, and advises the other world leaders to listen. What he wants to express is unknown, but we will keep you posted!
From a plateau of gold, lit up by a series of torches, at exactly eleven PM, ten red guards emerged from the Palace of Radonstinatle, five stood on either side, as a man dressed in a cape, reminiscent of the outfits of feudal kings, complete with an extravagant crown, he looked to the crowd, and it was indisputable that this man was the Nozerod, Master of Essotori and the dynastic benefactor of centuries of legitimacy, He spoke, in a very upper class tone;
People of Essotori, and of the World. Essotori has been excessively isolationist over the centuries. It is my wish, that we be permitted to bless your peoples with the glories of Essotori, our culture, trade. In this spirit, the Grand Nation of Essotori will open its arms, to the backwards nations of this world. Make no mistake, my fellow Essos and Tori, your political system, will face no changes, beyond what is neccersary to keep the infrastructure of the realm stable. A new system of airports, allowing us to travel more easily throughout the realm, an improved education system, the very best my people deserve.
