Premise
In 1985, almost fifteen years have passed since Caradoc Tresidder began to preside in his country's government as President-for-Life and Commander-in-Chief. What emerged from this era of Saint Sowenan history was a long duration of political and social oppression, nepotism, corruption, poverty and dictatorial rule that has dragged the nation further down into despair. While he and his government benefited the nation's people, it was only just a mere portion of the population, and overtime, a number of the people who have been neglected by him in any degree have had enough.
The flames of rage first sparked as a protest on the island of Mabynia to speak against the deliberate economic catastrophe that deprived its residents of decent homes. After a violent crackdown, Tresidder made the televised claim that they were merely dissidents trying to disrupt the stability and progress of the entire country and that they were armed with weapons to further perturb it, therefore justifying the incentive. Not believing the lies, the disillusioned people decided to take up arms. Soon after, on the 5th of March of the same year, the flames spread towards not only the Mabynia island, but also the Jeffrenni and St. Piran islands of the Southern Morhaedine Islands Group, thanks to an amalgamation of rebel factions named the Armed Front for National Liberation (AFNL). Taking notice of a potential revolution, Tresidder was forced to send troops to contain the situation, or better yet, protect his power. The struggle for justice and freedom for all countrymen had begun.
