Strasbourg International Airport
2:30 AM

The pitch black skies above the River Rhine were scattered with thin wisps of clouds, their reflections pockmarked against the Rhine's surface. Below, the city lay in a state of limbo. Half of it glittered in the city's renowned lights, with cars driving through the cobbled roads of the old town and houses/shops/bars/restaurants packed to the brim with people eager to celebrate the end of the week. The other half... was in ruins. Most of the city was spared the fighting that terrorized people along both sides of the Rhine, but the post-industrial districts, the banlieue neighborhoods where many disgruntled youths looked for trouble, and the strategic port area were home to days of hand-to-hand combat, brutal carpet bombings, and commando raids. After half of the US bomber fleet pounded the troubled areas to rubble and the French-American forces stormed in, the resistance died out...for the most part, anyway.
That's why there was a very visible armed presence around Strasbourg Airport. The allied French government in Paris was none too happy about this most recent course of action, and on President Goodman's trip to Paris just a few days prior, the Elysee received him a bit less than cordially.
Now, though, the French knew little about how the most powerful man on earth was en route from Washington D.C. to visit his victorious troops overseas, and they could not resist if they had wanted to.
Still, the Pentagon was taking no chances; for the duration of the President's visit to "liberated" Europe, the Air Force declared a no-fly zone over the French regions of Grand-Est, the left bank of the Rhine, and the Benelux's border with Caleonia.
Massive howitzers and missile-control systems aimed their payloads up into the sky across the river, while captured Leclerc and Abrams tanks roared along the still-unsealed Franco-German border to cut off any means of escape. Hundreds of thousands of troops pounded the pavement across the country, working alongside still hundreds of thousands more French gendarmes and coalition forces (volunteers from other nations) to enforce order. F-22s and F-35 jets streaked across Western Europe, daring anyone to challenge their reach. Everything was in order for the President's visit.
---
At 3 AM, Air Force One's wheels touched the tarmac, and within minutes, the President was whisked away to Strasbourg in his motorcade.
---
The Belgians and Luxemburgers, fearful of the fate that awaited them if they did not comply with the President's orders, allowed the US military to expand their presence within their respective nations; although they still held sovereign authority over their lands, it was clear that the White House would dictate the terms of their stay, not Brussels or Luxembourg City.
---
With 2/3rds of the Benelux nominally secured, the Netherlands was the US's final concern. As it was a major financial and trade center (and due to it housing 80 US nuclear warheads), the nation was on the list of countries to rein in. It was true that the current administration was a bit tactless with their actions to keep the region in Europe, which probably would've hurt their chances of the Dutch allowing American armor to roll across the border, but President Goodman was adamant that The Hague was to be brought into America's sphere, regardless of the cost. In Mons, NATO command ordered the withdrawal of those warheads from the Netherlands under heavy escort, which began shortly after the President arrived in Alsace-Lorraine.
---
Crowds of Hispanic descent have torched American embassies and consulates across South America in protest against President Goodman's nascent border wall. While unfortunate for those staffing those outposts, the embassy attacks are a political goldmine for the President, with his approval ratings going up to 54% while the nation becomes too consumed with arguments over the situation to concentrate on the vote. Three Marine brigades are deployed to Guantanamo Bay and to American diplomatic posts across the region to protect US citizens and interests there.
---
Protests begin against the US military presence in the Azores after three off-duty Army servicemen drunkenly crash their vehicle into a minivan, killing a mother and her two kids. Although the soldiers are due to be arraigned in military court and are widely expected to go to jail in disgrace, the Portuguese government has asked for those servicemen to be handed over to the local judiciary to placate the masses calling out "Yankees go home!"
---
Worried about the status of the Canadians and the United Kingdom within NATO, the Pentagon sends out a cable to Ottawa and London asking them about their status within the organization and whether they'd be willing to assist the United States in containing the Germans and the Russians.
---
Within the US Navy, a new fleet is established with its homeport in Hamilton, Bermuda (the Twelfth Fleet). Composed of nine frigates, three minesweepers, four nuclear submarines, and three destroyers (with a new aircraft carrier on the way), the Fleet is to begin patrolling the gap between the Eastern Seaboard and the Azores. Analysts are worried about potential conflicts with Commonwealth forces; however, most kids and horror movie fans are more concerned about the Bermuda Triangle.

The United Kingdom send a telegram to Alsace-Lorraine congratulating the American President on him conquering the French Mainland, and that we have no wish to leave the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. We also ask if we can take control of France's Marine Nationale, or the French Navy, in order to reinforce Britain's Naval Power in the region, including the Aircraft Carrier Charles de Gaulle. We will also assist In there containment.

In fear of this new even more power that may result in the US and Hypron/UK taking more land than Caleon thinks it should, Ward Wise sends a telegram to Aaron Wise, leader of The Communist Union of B, to let them merge their troops together and momentarily become one unified nation with two leaders. They send some troops to Copenhagen to occupy (not annex!) Denmark and hope that Michael Waltrip can get his new allies (specifically Iran) to stop the US from advancing. Caleon hopes that they can stop this diplomatically, so they make King Waltrip's nephew, Michael Michael Waltrip (kudos if you find the middle name reference) on a chaotic flight to Paris, stopping in Drew Blicksenderfer (the new capital of Caleon) along the way to review what to talk about on this diplomatic mission: no more advancing, establishing an embassy, and opening trade deals.

Canada still had an important role in NATO. We are also taking steps to add more members in potentially of talks go well if they are accepted.

Canada will still help with our British and American partners but we are also preparing to take on some peacekeeping roles as well in nations that have not been disclosed yet.

It will be known we are concerned about the grown of the Germans thought. That's why we had to take the steps to guarantee the Dutch.

Conflicts with the Commonwealth in eastern seaboard range to the Atlantic ocean shouldn't be happening. We're in NATO and should be aware of our fleet movements. If there's a big a** maple leaf of Union Jack it's a friendly.

It seems like American fleet movements are going east/west while Canadian fleet movements go North/South.

Our combined forces of Canadian, American and British (Hypron) navel assets should be enough to secure the Atlantic.

Caleon begins the renovation of the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, with intentions to make it twice as large, rename it back to the Österrichring, and host an international auto racing event within the next four years. The renovations have just broke ground and are planned to be complete in 2 and a half years.

Regarding Luxembourg and Belgium, you can only take over one country at a time, so they can't surrender both at once. BTW, I am not sure what to say on having countries peacefully surrender, so in the meantime I'll put two makeshift rules until I talk about this with Rajputana:

1. Peaceful surrendering can only be done with small countries.

2. When having a small country peacefully surrender, ask the people who will be affected by this if you can do it. For example, if I want the Maldives to peacefully surrender to me, I would need to first ask permission from Rajputana.

These are temporary, I'll think of something more permanent once I talk with Rajputana.

Nobody is RPing Russia, so his statement would apply to just Germans. Anyways, by Germans, he means Caleon. In the RP, the US is trying to contain Caleon, but that is to preserve American influence and to keep Europe aligned with America.

Iran states that it will help peace negotiations to start rather than taking sides, noting that while Iran is allied with MW, it is also about to start an alliance with Kashtyria, which is going to start an alliance with Canada, which is in the Commonwealth, which supports the US. Iran states that as it is connected with both sides of the conflict, it can facilitate peace negotiations in the Irani capital of Shiraz or in Istanbul, Iran's largest city.

---

Iran is now ready to start spreading its wings.

The soldiers in Istanbul have undergone backbreaking training, but it was worth it to claim the big prize.

The Istanbuli soldiers are transported to Canakkale. Afterwards, the soldiers board their ships and their planes. After a few hours, the ships and planes take off from Istanbul.

The same happens in Jeddah, a major Arabian port. Ships and planes take off from Jeddah to cross the Red Sea.

---

President Ahmed looks out his plane window and notices a city on the Caspian shore. He realizes that he is now on the other side of the Caspian from his home.

An announcement is heard on the plane speakers:

"Welcome to Kashtyria."

Drew Blickensderfer International Airport, 7:45 AM Local Time

Prime Councilor Ward Wise (in incognito) meets Michael Michael Waltrip at the airstrip. They talk.. kind of, about how the flight has been and they get some food from the local Baskin Ragan's in the airport. After they are done with their food and Michael is actually awake, they begin to actually talk. We shall not talk about what is discussed. After Ward is done talking with Michael, he drives off. He needs to get his family on vacation in Tokyo via Di9 in Berlin. He doesn't know what to do with the United States yet. He supposes one of two options: First is to help Odinburgh with economic recovery, as Caleon has a large surplus of money from constant trading with the CUB, specifically zwart titanium trading in exchange for roads to support their infrastructure, as that would likely get the NATO nations maybe realize that Caleon is not a force to laugh at or one that is completely war hungry and isolationist. His second option is the exact opposite; cancel all expansion and attack the US directly with the help of the CUB, but that'd kill them almost instantly. After some intense thinking by himself, he knows what he is going to do.

Berlin Supreme Court, 3:30 PM

Ward takes a stroll across the Berlin Supreme Court, the marvelous building the revolutionaries built before eventually moving their capital to Warsaw, now Drew Blickensderfer; however they never moved the Supreme Court for some off-putting reason. The Chancellor, David Mahomes III, is also there, waiting outside the front door. Ward is confused, understandably; why is his most trusted general, the Chancellor, in Berlin, when he should be in Vienna, governing the recently occupied region of Austria until he can appoint a general of his own to the high command? However, David's face says it all when they stand face to face; the Lithuanians, the ethnic group they conquered in 2025 after a series of civil wars in the Baltic area, are in revolt. Before Ward can get to this problem, he requests David Mahomes to send some of his personal fleet, the Arrowhead Fleet (which can only be mobilized by Mahomes), out of the Port of Gdańsk to seek whether or not Odinburgh wants financial aid or not, and then sail south to quell the Lithuanian revolt.

Port of Gdańsk, 7:30 PM

The Prime General of the Arrowhead Fleet, Jimmie Labonte, has just been wired a message from Mahomes. He had just eaten what he considered to be an awful dinner, dumplings and some fried rice from a local Asia-Caleonian restaurant, so he wasn't in the best of moods. He had his radio communications turned off as to not reveal his presence at a public restaurant, which is why he didn't receive the telegram until now. The message said to sail to Klaipėda and quell a rebellion in Lithuania, then travel to Thorheim, the capital of Odinburgh, to ask if Thekla Marx, the Prime Minister of Odinburgh, desires economic aid from their recent recession. Labonte scoffs at this request, thinking it's just a bluff from the Chancellor, but then he reads the bottom; "If you do not do as I say from now on, I will be in direct control." Mahomes is well known for blowing perfect opportunities as a direct general, making him more suited for domestic politics, so Labonte grudgingly does what he is told, and orders his fleet to be ready by 7:00 AM tomorrow, and make sure every single ship and gun is working to its best capacity, even if it does mean testing all guns, from machine guns to WMDs, across the Baltic.

Teshmarakh Airport

It is dawn at Tesmarakh Airport in the capital of Kashtyria. All is quiet, airline operations haven't quite started up yet but getting ready for the morning rush. The sun is slowly lighting up the ground with it orangish glow. Air Traffic Controller authorized the landing of the first aircraft in for the day. This isn't a commercial flight however it's a plane belonging to a government of a nation. One which the workers on the ground are about to find out.

Ground crew rumoured it was Air Force One because they new a nation from the west was coming in for a Summit and they automatically thought it was the United States.

The plane lands with the beautiful rays of the sun rising lighting up the aircraft. One worker quickly says to another "that's not Air force one" and on fact is wasn't. Ice blue covers the aircraft and a bright blue stripe runs from back to front. On the tail is a giant red maple leaf. On the side of the 777-300ER in black bold letters it says " GOVERNMENT OF CANADA"

The Americans, British and Canadian are teaming up to secure the Atlantic. While we have the ships to maintain this the Canadian Navy will be ordering new ships supplied from the designs of British design, thanks to The United Kingdom of Hypron to keep our navy updated.

Our ground forces and air forces get more funding so this is a welcome addition to our ever growing Navy.

ORDERS (Britsh Designs):
-15 Type 45 Class Destroyers
-2 King James VII class Aircraft Carrier

It is noted that two Aircraft Carriers do not meet the requirements of the ultimate plan for the amount of aircraft carriers we want but two will suffice for now and the reason for that will be stated.

ORDERS (Canadian Design):
-6 Harry DeWolf-class

Currently our Arctic fleet consist of 6 Harry Dewolf-class ships. We are doubling the amount the beef up our Arctic Fleet. These ships are specifically designed for arctic conditions and the Canadian North.

Further Announcements about the future of the Navy will come out in a few ours, specifically pertaining to Aircraft Carriers.

As i am trying to keep a lasting peace between nations, i am planning a Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, or START 3, to limit the use of WMD, such as nuclear warheads and Inter Continental Ballistic Missiles. I will be hosting a summit for it in London, and i invite any nation with a nuclear arsenal to attend.

The Nomadic Peoples of Ethereal Madness has recently voted for the first Master of Ethereal Madness, Jørn Forvirring. On the newly established EMTN (Ethereal Madness Television Network), as well as widely broadcast on the internet, Master Forvirring expressed his desire for the newly formed nation to eventually be a pillar of stability in the region.

To help with this goal, Ethereal Madness has sent envoys to Hypron, Caleonia and Odinburgh to attempt treaty negotiations and trade talks, with envoys to other nation’s upcoming in the near future.

Settlements are set up around the country, and an organized(ish) government is also being set up.

The First Scandinavian Economic Forum has commenced as Odinburgh's richest multi-billionaire technology entrepreneur, investor, and engineer Galen Falk stepped up to the podium. He is the proud owner of a private space aerospace manufacturer and space transportation company Alpha Space Core and also of the X-Energy Corporation, a new company that he is set to announce details during the economic forum. As the room darkened a projection screen slid downward with a picture that soon appeared:

"Ladies and Gentlemen in a world of uncertainty as energy resources run scarce in time of heightened tensions of war could break out a new source of energy has been discovered that will solve all our energy needs. It is called cold fusion. For the time we can do this a new reactor that is heats plasma of hydrogen to 27 million degrees Fahrenheit. Yes that is hotter than the sun. This vacuum chamber contains the fusion reaction inside powerful magnetic fields that creates energy powering more homes than a nuclear power plant could and it is much safer. The worry of a radiation meltdown is zero on a contamination level to people who live nearby and beyond without a fear of spreading. This is our future and want nations to join me in this venture that help lead this world to economic independence. Not just that but energy independence. We can finally say to ourselves we are no longer independent on oil and nuclear powered energy. This is the path forward for the new generation of clean energy. In Odinburgh the X-Energy Corporation has tested this new technology to create this new energy source for the last 15 years which has proven a success. In one year Odinburgh will be fully powered by cold fusion. The next step is expanding it to other countries to spread this clean energy revolution. We need to build these in nations that are looking for new sources of energy to power their homes and businesses. I may now take any questions that anyone may have."

"Is there a chance that one of these reactors, due to stress and overheating, could implode?" Asks Hypronian Prime Minister John Smith, who decided to attend himself instead of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

"We have systems that detect stress and we have cooling vent system that keeps it from overheating thus preventing any implosion from occurring. Chance of that happening is 20%.", Galen Falk responded to question to Hypronian Prime Minister.

I only have 1 more question: as your government should know, my nation is holding a Strategic Arms Reduction summit in London soon, so can the cold fusion power be made into a weapon more powerful than a nuclear weapon?
