Not to mention, Christian American Federation, you do realize that fighter jets do not have range to escort a strategic bomber through the ocean? The most modern fighter jets have 1500km combat radius nowdays, while a B-52 can reach 11 000 km...

Alright, I'm ignoring Ardoki's fleet. This is the third post since he ignored my response. I reminded him twice, and I was indulgent to begin with since he godmodded a sailing fleet into Cornelia. So there is no Ardokian fleet, as far as I'm concerned.

Though people on NS have an obsession with scale, in practice I alwyas like to take a look at XVIII century warfare to ger inspiration. As in XVIII century, most of NS wars will be limited in number of means, geographic scope and escalation level, because I have a very high doubt that leadership of any nation here present would want to cause a world war over few gays in New Edom.

Anyway, I actually agree, this is more likely to set the international community's tone towards New Edom and set up sides for a cold war in the long run, in my view.

Yeah, my knowledge of military history is admittedly far better than military present.

Put me in that era with enough time to figure out everything, and I at least hope I'd be a tough foe to beat for anyone. I'm still likely not great, but still decent or good.

And well, it reminded me of the southern "dose gays" thing which has been seen in America as offensive as a blanket LGBT term. Not the term gay itself.

That said, my post's gonna have to sadly be delayed; my initial hope was to handle it during the weekend (which is really about the only time I can dedicate myself to posting) but that's come to pass and now I've gotta handle classes for the week. Sorry about that, but at least it's just my introductory post and not really a post someone's waiting for me to make!

Some critiques I observe about responses to this thread.

None of the supposed humanitarians except for Adiron and the shrailleeni Empire even responded to the government inquiries about the violence the day of the riots. In other words, zero interest in the actual activities of my government.

2. The talks about humanitarian/civil rights issues not only stalled, but no one showed any further interest in them.

3. The only real consistent activity is about a crazy incursion into my region.

4, Most of the recent arrivals in the thread have no idea of what is going on, or why they’re even in the thread. I’m wondering why they are even interested, or have a clear idea of what their nations might intend to do.

I’m not interested in introducing new plots that have nothing to do with what is going on inmy thread. Nor am I interested in this thread being Lanorth’s school to build his country. The OOC has been ridiculously off topic. Enough of this. I will not tolerate further discussions that are not about focus on the plot of the thread.

My attempt at RPing a carrier battle got cut in half by an influx of posts that had nothing to do with it.

Second, it wouldn't make sense. You have like 20,000 troops mobilizing to come to your defense, foreign nations spending a lot of money on you, and your king just abdicates? I'm not sure if that sounds right...but it's up to the OP and the others here

I really think it cuts down a storyline, and to be frank we need more of those. IC, Lanorth just gave up without telling the two nations putting a lot of effort into saving the current government. Plus, abdications take time. I was confused in the first place when people were protesting, since it was an 80% vote for an absolute monarchy, but I though its fine because the other 20%. But I feel personally that this is A) not the way to change government, it needs multiple posts, B) It cuts off a good storyline, and a chance for Vionna and I to talk about our military cooperation, as well as your chance to describe your military, and C) it doesn't make sense IC or OOC logic

So if we can't reach an agreement that either ends in a forced restoration of the monarchy by foreigners, or you voiding your post, it might become the OP's call. It's his thread after all, and I don't think he needs any extra arguments.

Okay, sorry. I did leave a long time between when the fleet was ordered to leave and when it actually arrived in international waters so I thought that would be fine as there was such a long gap (plus it is just a sailing club, not a military fleet so I didn't think it would need any detailed preparation). But totally my bad, I didn't realise how that was poor form. I apologise to New Edom again.

I'll delete those posts and start again.

I'll rewrite the orders, the sailing club's organisation and preparation for leaving Ardoki shortly (massive assignment at uni, but should be able to start this week).

I deeply apologise for missing your posts New Edom, I think I may have misinterpreted them (I thought you wanted me to respond, I didn't know you wanted stuff rewritten). Feel free to telegram me in the future (It's hard to miss those ). I feel ashamed that you had to get other people to reach me. That isn't a good look for me. Sorry again.
