I would like to point out that not all democratic nations are the same. The key here is usually weather the legislative, executive and judical powers are firmly separated, or not. The role of president in the USA, in France, and in Germany is completely different. Not to mention that even the UK has a completely different system of politics.

Knowing such stuff makes it easier to mark up the internal politics of your nation.

No idea. It is tremendously unclear what Lanorth even is, let along what its government is. Furthermore it seems clear that you don't even have a strong answer to that question. If you asked me what Lanorth was based on your posts in this thread, I would simply say "some kind of interventionist military junta."

In a way that is precisely what I am afraid of. My idea of Lanorth has already changed roughly five times so far, to become boiled down to the bland, uncertain definition that I posted above. It isn't a good time to RP with nations that are constantly changing the fundamentals of what they are, especially when doing so requires numerous profound changes to canon. There is no point in RPing with a nation that might be completely different in a few days' time.

I feel comfortable speaking for most of the other writers here when I say that whatever you've come up with, this is the last time. If you change the fundamental structure of your nation's culture or government again after this, I will personally simply blacklist you.

It’s like that stereotypical cartoon of a spark following an insanely long string to TNT, events domino/snowball into that change.

Ok, so I think most of the nations here are concerned about your frequent switch in government. For one, it makes it hard for the rest of us to have a good RP, for example how my FA minister and Vionna’s FA minister are both happy about their success with your new monarchy.

Second, it’s bad for your RP skills. The frequent switch in your government makes your people look like puppets. It disregards your canon history. For example, the Khanate will never be fully democratic because the Cossack people are wary of democracy. Why? Because during the 50 year communist occupation, the reds set up a “democratic” government that was in fact a corrupt oligarchy. Also because every other nation in my region (canon) is either fascist or monarchical.

And sorry for the wait, Vionna, I will RP my minister landing in frankenlisch so you can call him perhaps and invite him to a place of your choice.

I know that may not be what you want but, from an RPing standpoint, it was actually an interesting move. To have the sudden death of the old president usher in a new, monarchial government which reconciles with the Cossacks and Imperials. If that is voided, a lot of other things must be changed which will negatively affect the RP as a whole. Down to you, though.

I see your point. I did enjoy having the monarchy but I feel it was a bit too complicated. I will decide before tomorrow at 21:00 (GMT) on what Lanorth will become. The reason i was struggling with the monarchy aspect was because I could not exactly understand how the monarchist system all worked and I felt that if you don't know something, don't do it. Can a monarchist nation give me some advice so I can understand the concept more and also help my final decision?
