I notice that my last few posts have made several references here and there to the nonhuman appearance of most of my Ruvians. I do hope that isn't a problem for people because I have noticed that quite a few people on this site have been reluctant to interact with my nation in the past because of it. As you can tell by my posts so far, their attributes don't really make much difference at all in terms of abilities and are mostly just cosmetic. I do think it can add some nice flavor to the RP, as the unstable situation in New Edom causes my people there to grapple with what it's like to be in a country that isn't anywhere near as used to their kind as their homeland is.

If it does bother you then it should be easy enough to just consider them humans as (I believe) Yohannes does. I can try to cool it a little with my references to their unique features as well, though I always find it fun to play with that.

For me at least, your nation/people will be one hundred percent ignored. No offense, it's just I stick to a strict MT platform which doesn't adhere to FanT creatures just walking around like it's normal. Nothing personal, but I doubt we'll interact at all.

As for the thread in general, im finding it hard to catch up. Considering you guys posted two pages worth in one day, im considering giving up and just posting blind. If I need information, I'll just ask in that case. Im getting kinda sick of reading half a page or a page and by the next day there's already another page or two waiting for me. I mean I admit to skimming and outright skipping some parts of posts that didn't offer anything I needed to worry about. Granted I tried to do that to others but I found myself getting enthralled and reading them anyways too. So im to blame for some slowness on my part admittedly. The few posts/portions I have skipped were mostly contextual stuff setting the scene or mood - things I didn't really need to know to continue the story.

Regardless, although I plan to read still, I will begin drafting the posts just so others can get moving. There are some plots of which that need said post to get started, so I don't wish to keep them waiting any further.

Okay both of my posts are now up. I'm sorry if I haven't really acknowledged you; as others have said, things are moving quite fast, and while I try my best to read everything, professional commitments prevent me from dedicating all the time I'd like to roleplaying. :P

In my post regarding what my Embassy is up to: "When we can spare them, send some runners out to Embassies who we know for sure are taking in other asylum seekers and pass notes along with my office number. I want to speak to my counterparts and get the gist of what their take is on the situation and anything that they know which we don't, and see if there isn't anything we can all do to provide a united voice on this issue. Let's start with the New Visayans, the Ruvians, the McNernians and the Vionna-Frankenlischians. From them we might also learn of more who will be willing to talk to us."

We can play it however you want, but I'd say the easiest thing to do is to say that whoever is posted at the gate get's passed a message from a hurried aide who explained they were from the Imperium Antiquum Embassy and the note is from our ambassador to yours, basically proposing an initial phone conversation (which we can roleplay or not), which I am thinking might lead to a future gathering of said ambassadors as they discuss ways to deal with the situation, and a potentially coordinated diplomatic response.

I'm open to other ideas, too, I just want to break us out of our bubbles and get us all interacting. Might help slow things down just enough to let us all get up to speed. :P

That's a good point. SIERRA Team aren't aware where she is, but they'd find out quickly if the Mcnernians identified her and informed the rest of the SACTO intelligence agencies.

I do have a response planned for New Edom's very lovely post directed at me, which I am hoping to get to tomorrow. (once again I took liberties with creating references to past interactions with New Edom and it's characters that I'm just completely making up. I really hope you don't mind this. I tried to make sure everything made solid sense, and was benign. I think it adds some nice context and solidify Ru's role and what the best case scenario goals of Ru (or rather of Anedi Flanders) might be.
