Frankenlisch, Kingdom of Frankenlisch
Larry Tristram's Office, Foreign Ministry

“In that case sir, I believe the Cossack forces will also remain no matter what happens between now and two days from now. As long as both of our forces stay, we can decide what to do with the government at leisure. But as a preliminary, I’ll tell you that I discussed this beforehand with my government. We wouldn’t be looking to place a Cossack candidate on the throne, so I think I can say that we would wholeheartedly support a Frankenlischian candidate on the throne. Of course, the best scenario, if the rebels do go too far, would be King Kamburgh’s lineage, but if that is not possible, we will support whatever candidate your Majesty decides.”

Tristram's face lit up with an eerily wide smile. "I'm glad. I don't think things will come to that; I certainly hope not, Her Royal Highness is a sweet, mostly innocent girl who doesn't deserve the burden of rule." He nodded slowly, "I will attempt to change the Prime Minister's mind on that account. But thank you for your support and I assure you that everyone shares your desire for the House of Kamburgh to retain their throne."

Vehr continued, “But overall, I believe that is all we have for now. Shall we head down to the station?”

"Good." Tristram exclaimed, rising to his feet quicker than his stature would usually warrant. His lapse into seriosity appeared over and he donned the same bawdy, jolly attitude that Vehr had met earlier. "Now then, let's meet the King!" He cried, gleefully and held his clenched fist out in the air, as if leading a military charge with imaginary sword aloft.

Queen Caroline Central Station

Monumental was really the only word that could be used to describe Queen Caroline Central Station. Not only was it monumental in size, but it was also monumental in stature. Few buildings could claim to represent an age, an era, but this one could. It was a true testament to Vionna-Frankenlischian architecture and the grandeur of the Carolinian Era. A high, impressive, curved glass and steel clerestory roof hung high above the twenty-nine platforms below. If not for the modern trains and the very modern hustle and bustle, one might mistake the scene for a picture of the same station sixty years prior, if not a full century ago. Twenty years it had taken to finish the construction but it did not show, the true perfection of the construction made it look as if time were paused for the building. A huge concourse was brimming with commercial stands, railway workers and information boards; the concourse was flanked by a vast variety of small shops and eating places on two storeys. Beyond that concourse was the business-end of the station. Queen Caroline Central Station boasted twenty-nine platforms and one could get a train to any major destination on the mainland from one of those platforms. Three-day sleeper trains ran from far-off Julianopolis in south-west Vionna to Platforms 28 and 29 of the grand station.

No trains would be stopping at Platform 29 today, however, as that was where the King's personal train was parked. The locomotive was named King Edward I, after the first king of Vionna-Frankenlisch and it was sleek black, its tender emblazoned with the initials GW; GW standing for Great Westonland, the last steam-train using rail company left in the Kingdom of Frankenlisch, besides a few heritage railways with backing from the Guild of Historians. King Edward I had been purchased from Great Westonland in 1964 by King Albert, one of the frivolous personal expenses that he was ridiculed for in the national press; a popular, and surprisingly true, anecdote claimed that as the leftist rebels approached Parliament Square and Imperial Palace, where King Albert and much of his family were to meet their unfortunate end, the second-to-last radio message from the besieged Parliament Square was a desperate call for ammunition and reinforcements. The very final radio message was by King Albert himself, a call to all loyalist forces within Frankenlisch to retake the grand railway station and save his beloved train, an objective which was reached by two regiments of royalist cavalry in the final hours of the Battle of Frankenlisch, rumour had it that the colonel of the King's Highland Dragoons drove the Royal Train to Gestoria himself, and saw it loaded aboard a ship to a loyal colony.

There would be no daring escapes this time around, however. This time King Edward I would be conveying His Imperial Majesty and some of his government, along with the Cossack delegation, to Westonland Castle, where the King was to spend several days recuperating. Lieutenant Lamb, causing much surprise considering her gentle demeanour and small stature, was like a lion when the station guards refused to let her and her charges onto the platforms without a ticket. She yelled, ordered and finally threatened her way past the ticket barriers and sprinted, with the party of diplomats and officials in tow, to Platform 29 where the Royal Train was awaiting them impatiently. Larry Tristram, red-faced and sweating, trailed behind at a leisurely pace and was forced to leap onto the guard's van as the train lurched into motion.

The group reconvened in the penultimate carriage of the train, the so-called Diplomat's Suite. The Diplomat's Suite was a long sleeper carriage with four small yet quite lavish and reasonably comfortable rooms. Tristram's was at the front of the carriage, with the Cossacks enjoying a room each, of their own chosing. As the journey would be a slow one, owing to the King's need for rest and a lack of excitement, and the four settled in quickly before reconvening again around a small table at the end of the diplomatic carriage.

"So, gentlemen," Larry Tristram said with a content smile, a loose collar and a slightly sweaty face, "How do you find everything so far? We shall have to meet the King in fifteen minutes so if anyone needs to change, I suggest they do so very soon."
New Edom wrote:Unwerth laughed. “Such hen lobsters are the Vionnans. But then, every Vionnan is half a sodomite."

Queen Caroline Central Station

As the lieutenant argued with the station guards, Vehr lost himself in the architecture. After Lamb managed to threaten her way through the guards, the Cossack party kept up with her, and Advisor Dhuval pulling up the rear.

"So, gentlemen," Larry Tristram said with a content smile, a loose collar and a slightly sweaty face, "How do you find everything so far? We shall have to meet the King in fifteen minutes so if anyone needs to change, I suggest they do so very soon."

“It’s all been quite pleasant”, said Vehr.

“It’s been good exercise”, joked Sundar.

“And I think we’ll be changing, Minister, if you’ll excuse me…” said Dhuval, half to Tristam and half to Vehr. Vehr involuntarily gave a slight nod, and Dhuval slipped back to his room.

“And I think we’ll be changing, Minister, if you’ll excuse me…” said Dhuval, half to Tristam and half to Vehr. Vehr involuntarily gave a slight nod, and Dhuval slipped back to his room.

Tristram nodded, "Very good," he affirmed. As Dhuval rose, Tristram did too and they shrunk back into their little rooms to change. Tristram undressed fully and stook stark, bollock naked for a moment in his room, considering his options. His awkwardly-fitting business suit lay crumpled on the floor, Tristram swept it to one side with a hairy foot. He dusted his chubby frame with talcum and put on fresh underclothes: socks, boxers and a sleeveless undershirt. He tugged on a pair of dark dress trousers and a simple white dress shirt with a turndown collar. With a little help from a maid, he got his black bowtie on and a grey waistcoat. He stood for a moment, debating whether to wear a coatee or a morning coat, in the end, he decided to wear neither and remained as he was. Being that the situation did not require a particular dress, Tristram resigned himself to remain as he was and thanked Andy that he would not have to wear another thick garment in the abnormal heat.

With perhaps more flourish than the situation really warranted, Larry Tristram strode out of his little sleeper cabin and rendezvoused with the Cossacks who had changed themselves. "Right then, gentlemen," Tristram exclaimed, looking at his watch, "The King awaits." He took a deep breath and led the men through the train. The Royal Train had twelve carriages and the King's was number six. The Cossacks, Tristram and Lieutenant Lamb went through the bar carriage, a chapel carriage, a conference carriage, a regular sleeper carriage and finally, they reached the King's carriage. Despite being at the back of the group, Lieutenant Lamb was required to enter first and pushed her way to the front of the waiting officials. She knocked on the door and was met by a flippant "Enter."

Lamb opened the door steadily and stood to attention, leaving enough room for the officials to enter one-by-one. "Your Imperial Majesty," she bowed her head in salute. "May I have the honour to present your Foreign Minister, the Right Honourable Larry Tristram."

Tristram took that cue and walked through the doorway, bowed and hailed, "Your Imperial Majesty." Before standing to one side.

Lamb continued, "His Excellency, Ryan Vehr, Cossack Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Honourable Krishna Dhuval, Esquire. And The Honourable Major Dushyant Sundar of the Cossack Army." That was the cue for each Cossack to enter in turn. When they did they would find His Imperial Majesty, the King. King James was laying upright in a small, comfortable-looking bed in the middle of the room. A heavy wooden desk was positioned over his bed, atop it sat various papers, an inkwell and fountain pen and a flash laptop with the lid closed, along with a glass of whiskey. The King looked tired but in healthy spirits, his right arm was in a cast and resting on the desk in a loose sling. His beard was shaved strangely on the right side, betraying heroic-looking scars on that side of his weathered face. He looked up at the arrivals with a blank half-smile, weak and forced.

Operation Paladin
Fineberg, New Edom

The Kondor lead pilot, Captain Mark Perna, loved flying. He felt that the Kondor wsa not an aircraft he flew, but a suit of clothing he put on with a pair of gloves that he moved smoothly through the air with. He had a thousand hours in these, and some of those had been in hot zones indeed. Urban flights had their own unique challenges. Fineberg did not have any serious skyscrapers, just some taller buildings. In a way no different from forest and jungle operations.

He had worked with the forward air control fellow before, and noted on his radio that he was doing a good job keeping the air clear. But if the Homos were monitoring that, a decent intel operative would figure something was up. “ETA 5 minutes, boys,” he reported to the crew compartment.

Flying around a large dome topped church, moving in low, and he saw startled looking people pointing up in a brief glance. “ETA, one minute,” he said laconically. Any one of those people could be another Homofront plant, and take a shot at him, and he would have scant second or two to maneuver. The roof was rushing towards him though, and he announced, loud and clear, “Zeus 3-2 , dismount! Go get ‘em, boys!”

Captain Victor Radu jumped out with the other team members, alertly scanning the rooftop, seeing the small utility building with its door before him...

With that, Sergeant Lyubomir Borisov, a veteran from the 2nd invasion of Presmk, which was more successful than the first one, was commanding the troops of the Zeus 3-2 squad, he carefully heard the pilot speak the ETA and before he could react, Captain Radu jumped out with his other team members, which secured the sides of the helicopter so everyone can move out safely. "Zeus 3-2, disembark, go, go, go!" He said as he disembarked and took North side as a location to secure then after everyone disembarked and the chopper safely lifted away, he then said, "Overlord this is Zeus 3-2, we have arrived at LZ Bravo, we are proceeding towards the target area." After he got a reply from command he said, "Door to our front!" And got in front of the small door and said, "stack up on me!" To everyone, who then stacked up in different directions. "Fast, no flash." Said the Sergeant as they started breaching the door which was locked with a special shotgun slug, Mossberg 500 breaching version. And then they were going down to the Building Management company first. With another door to the place in front of them, they breached it again and went ahead to scout for evidence as the people from the rooftop were catching up to them and arriving in the same position.
They would search the whole place for evidence and enemies. "Search everything you see, computers to files and papers and everything." Said Lyubomir, who was determined at what he does and would scout everything he sees.

Meanwhile, the GAZ Tigers and Pumas raced down the street, their way cleared by the previous Militia actions, screeching around corners, drivers gunning it to get to the targets at the right time. Captain Fabian had been checking his watch, and had seen the helicopter hovering overhead. The Hussars fanned out around the building as the special ops and engineers sped past them.

A few citizens saw the action building--a man on a bike, a woman leaving a shop to sweep the sidewalk, an old man walking a dog. They froze as big APCs slammed the brakes and soldiers began piling out.

“Get inside, keep your heads down!” roared the Hussars’ First Sergeant.

The Tigers had arrived at the building. Staff Sergeant Ashton clambered out with the rest, his EOD kit on his back. His scarred face was expressionless. Man is as grass that is put in the oven, and baked. He prepared to follow the other ops into the building.

From the GAZ Tigrs, Stojamian and a few Rover Team personnel would jump out with the Combat Engineer platoon attached from the Puma CEVs. "Ares 2-1, disembark and proceed towards objective, go, go, go!" Said Sergeant Miroslav Bojanov, who didn't experience much fighting on the Premsk front but he did went through advanced and basic training, in which he aced all of them and became his squad's favorite Sergeant, for his skills and dedication.
They would then proceed towards the commercial buildings doors, which were locked, "Engineers! Drill through this door for us please." He said politely as he as no way to breach the large and wide doors of the commercial center.
They drilled through and it took a couple of minutes for them as they said the door was ready to be breached again, and then they stacked up and the Combat Engineers got back, "Fast no flash." Said Sergeant Miroslav as they kicked through the door and went in, they would proceed from the sides of the ground floor to the basement and to control the Freight Elevator, they would breach the doors to the downstairs loading dock area and they would proceed down stairs with extreme caution. "Overlord, this is Ares 2-1, we are proceeding towards the basement." The Sergeant said as they would proceed down until he got a reply from command.
Taking over the Freight Helicopter would be an important objective, afterwards the team would split up, one would control the elevator entrance and the other will proceed down to the action. 7 would go down and 6 would stay, that was the plan, and so it will be executed.

Operation Paladin

Zeus found themselves in a utility hall, dull coloured concrete halls and whitewashed doors, and the men stacking up and moving as a team. Radical sternly disciplined himself to follow and not interfere, but his keen, sunken eyes swept his sector, his AR at the ready.

Soundtrack

Then suddenly at the next breach there was a room with a flurry of activity. A man in a linen suit was shredding documents beside a desk piled with other papers, and he looked up, startled. Another man in a light dress shirt and slacks with his face tight with tension screamed "Theyre here!" and raised an automatic pistol and began to fire at the invaders. Another man, towards the rear, had opened a wall safe and there was a flash of smoke and fire in it as he ducked away. A fourth man was ducking into a second inner office and began to slam the door, yelling "Breeders in the building!" Into a cellphone.

Meanwhile, Ares stacked up. Staff Sergeant Ashton had moved in and operated his drill, trusting the others to cover him, and then moved aside.

The team moved into handsomer halls than above, that were painted green and led to both the shipping and receiving area, the freight elevator and the utility stairwells. Most of the shops were closed and locked.

At the operations centre, Colonel Zadek and Commandant Bajith along with staff and intelligence operatives and Zadek responed "Go ahead, Ares 2-1" Bajith mopped his brow, while Zadek raised a cup of mint tea to his lips.

Below, the cell was rapidly moving. Two men in pink and blue camouflage muscle shirts and speedos, faces covered by kerchiefs, held WP grenades and Uzi sub machine guns, waiting tensely. They were determined to take some hetero patriarchchrist lovers eith them.

Meanwhile, Diamond hesitated as she stood at Lesham's door. Should she use her 9mm pistol, or should she fulfill her final fantasy and strangle the beautiful government agent while violating her sexually? So little time! She rushed in and threw herself on the bound woman on the bed. One powerful forearm pushed into Lesham's trachea while her free hand moved down, hard fingers moving, worming between desperately squirming thighs. Dorcas Lesham's eyes bulged in panic.

Frankenlisch

The members of the Cossack party went into their rooms to change. Minister Vehr chose to remove his navy suit and black shirt and reverse it, putting on a new black suit with a dark blue shirt under. Major Sundar changed from his suit to (one) of his comfortable ceremonial army uniforms. Before leaving his room, he sent a message from his laptop. And Dhuval, always self-conscious about his tidiness, put a light brown suit on his thin frame and combed his hair.

"Right then, gentlemen," Tristram exclaimed, looking at his watch, "The King awaits." He took a deep breath and led the men through the train.

Lamb opened the door steadily and stood to attention, leaving enough room for the officials to enter one-by-one. "Your Imperial Majesty," she bowed her head in salute. "May I have the honour to present your Foreign Minister, the Right Honourable Larry Tristram."

Ryan Vehr bowed deeply “Honor to meet you, Your Imperial Majesty”. Advisor Dhuval bowed similarly, as well as Major Sundar.

His Imperial Majesty, King James, nodded respectfully at Minister Vehr. He surveyed each man with a cunning yet tired-looking eye. He seemed to take particular note of Major Sundar and his army uniform. When his eyes passed over Dhuval, however, he seemed uninterested. King James was not a majorly impressive sight himself, not that he wasn't a bear of a man, strong for his position and probably not a nice man to have to fight, but he was an Ursa Minor and had clearly seen better days.

The King commanded instant authority with his voice, however, a deep, noble tone which seemed apt for demanding fealty. It was not the voice of a ceremonial monarch, this was the voice of a ruler.

"Minister Vehr," he began, "You honour us with your visit. I do not doubt that it was a long journey from the Cossack lands, I do hope that is was a comfortable one." He turned his head slowly to face Major Sundar, "Major... Sundar, was it? Yes." He nodded, seeming to approve of what he saw, "To what unit do you belong, sir, I don't know the Cossack host very well, although I am always willing to learn." He smiled again, weakly, although this time it appeared genuine. The King turned his head once more and settled his eyes on Dhuval. "Mister Dhuval," he affirmed, seeming to be thinking of a compliment or word of introduction, "Good day to you, dear fellow." Was all he could come up with.

The King sat silently as the men answered his introductions, sipping his whiskey with less vigour than normal. He nodded slowly and spoke again, his voice the same high aristocratic melody, "Gentleman, I'm sure you have not come this long way and been dragged around by Minister Tristram for nothing. I am at your disposal. What do you have on the agenda for me?"

"Mister Dhuval," he affirmed, seeming to be thinking of a compliment or word of introduction, "Good day to you, dear fellow." Was all he could come up with.

“Yes, indeed Your Imperial Majesty, the journey was both long and comfortable, but it was most definitely worth it” said Vehr, turning to Major Sundar. The major was a slightly burly man, albeit with a set structure. His broad shoulders boasted the armband ranks of a commissioned officer.

Major Sundar nodded his head slightly once “You Majesty, the rank of Major was posthumously awarded to me as a peacetime rank. My actual rank is that of Konzul-Marshall, with command over the 87th Defense Legion, Cossack Infantry and Artillery Corps, Montz High Command. I previously served as a Centurion, commanding a battalion of 1200, in the same command, and I served in the Cossack-Helsentian War of 2002. I understand that Cossack ranks and organization is quite different from the international norm”, he said, and seemingly out of words, turned slightly to Dhuval, who was left to respond with a flustered “Good day Your Imperial Majesty. I hope your recuperation is going speedily”, after which he began to look at the floor.

"Gentleman, I'm sure you have not come this long way and been dragged around by Minister Tristram for nothing. I am at your disposal. What do you have on the agenda for me?"

It was Minister Vehr who spoke first “Your Majesty, throughout the unpleasant business with the Edomite riots and the ensuing diplomatic and strategic moves, the Cossack government found both the Kingdom and it’s government to be very amiable and cooperative. Especially compared to some others involved...In fact, His Royal Majesty Imperator Khan was planning on arranging a meeting with Your Majesty, in person or over the internet, I do not know, but mainly to establish much closer relations with the Kingdom than we have as of now. The Kingdom shares much in value with the Khanate, ideologically speaking. The Imperator sent us with the mindset that the Khanate and the Kingdom should be close allies in the future, and usually when His Majesty says close allies, he means very, very close, separated only by blood and land. To put all of it simply, our dialogue with Your Majesty will revolve mainly around further national relations. We have already begun highly friendly and cooperative diplomatic relations, between myself and Minister Tristam here. We would like to discuss other portals of interaction, completely at the time of your choosing Your Imperial Majesty”, explained Vehr.

I understand that Cossack ranks and organization is quite different from the international norm”, he said.

The King seemed amused by Sundar's description of the Cossack army's organisation. Though he did not comment, he visibly smiled. Down went the glass and another whiskey and soda was decanted, the sweet smell of the finest Ballaetan Whiskey filling the carriage. King James rose the glass ever so slightly, tilting it marginally towards Sundar in a phantom toast before gulping back half of it.

We have already begun highly friendly and cooperative diplomatic relations, between myself and Minister Tristam here. We would like to discuss other portals of interaction, completely at the time of your choosing Your Imperial Majesty”, explained Vehr.

James nodded, taking in each word. His face was a strong mixture of agreement and happiness, despite its weak overall countenance. He finished his glass, exhaled loudly and cleared his throat. The King plucked up his handkerchief from the bed-table and, with all the vulgarity of a commoner, gobbed yellowish phlegm into it and scrunched it up. Finally, he spoke, "His Royal Majesty's confidence in our cooperation is most reassuring and I am most humbled by the prospect of a face-to-face conversation with the Imperator. You will convey, with all speed, my gratitude to him. I would be most interested to discuss further possibilities for our mutual relations with you, Minister Vehr." The King turned his head to Major Sundar, "Major, I'm sure you will be most interested to know that Westonland Castle and the nearby Fort Ulfwhan boast some of the finest troops in the nation, great regiments that boast long and famous battle honours. It would be my greatest pleasure if you were to inspect these noble sons of my Kingdoms." James turned again, this time to Dhuval, who seemed disappointed by the King's disinterest in him. "Mister Dhuval... You have great ambition, yes? You want to be the next Minister after dear Mister Vehr has moved on, yes? There are tutors from the University of Gestoria in residence at Westonland Castle, I will schedule you a session or two with them, you will find the experience most enriching." The King was sitting up straighter now and his eyes were wide, still tired but wide and active, his mouth had contorted into a stronger smile and he was clearly excited by the possibilities. "I am most interested by the suggestion of 'seperated only by blood and land'. What would you say, Minister Vehr and what do you think the Imperator would say, to the suggestion that we might not even be separated by blood?"

Frankenlisch

"His Royal Majesty's confidence in our cooperation is most reassuring and I am most humbled by the prospect of a face-to-face conversation with the Imperator. You will convey, with all speed, my gratitude to him. I would be most interested to discuss further possibilities for our mutual relations with you, Minister Vehr."

Ryan Vehr smiled and bowed slightly “That will do, Your Majesty. Thank you”

The King turned his head to Major Sundar, "Major, I'm sure you will be most interested to know that Westonland Castle and the nearby Fort Ulfwhan boast some of the finest troops in the nation, great regiments that boast long and famous battle honours. It would be my greatest pleasure if you were to inspect these noble sons of my Kingdoms."

Major Sundar’s eyes expressed his delight in the suggestion. Of course, it was his duty now mainly to inspect: Inspect the arms, inspect the vehicles, inspect the marches, inspect the barracks, inspect the soldiers, the list went on. But the prospect of learning about a foreign army, especially not one within Farkasfalka, seemed to excite him. “It would be my honor, Your Majesty.”

James turned again, this time to Dhuval, who seemed disappointed by the King's disinterest in him. "Mister Dhuval... You have great ambition, yes? You want to be the next Minister after dear Mister Vehr has moved on, yes? There are tutors from the University of Gestoria in residence at Westonland Castle, I will schedule you a session or two with them, you will find the experience most enriching."

Dhuval paused for a second before replying “Yes, Your Imperial Majesty. Thank you sir”, fading out on the ‘sir’. He, in fact, had never thought of himself as a proper successor to Vehr. The current minister was well articulated, a fast thinker, and above all a personal friend of the Imperator. Dhuval was a thin man whose personality matched, and perhaps the only thing that brought him to the rank of State Advisor was his intellect. As for the King’s comment, Dhuval found this to be intriguing, because like all Cossacks born post-independence, he had been indirectly bombarded with propaganda that encouraged endless learning.

Vehr heard the King and thought to himself as well. ”I would not be able to serve in this same position for the rest of my work years”, he decided. Too stressful. But he was too young, at least relatively, to retire. In the Khanate the average retirement age was about 70, and that was from official posts only. Perhaps he would retreat to a quiet corner of the FA ministry and teach his future grandchildren a thing or two in his free time.

"I am most interested by the suggestion of 'seperated only by blood and land'. What would you say, Minister Vehr and what do you think the Imperator would say, to the suggestion that we might not even be separated by blood?"

It is a very rare occasion where Vehr is confused. The Minister is indeed the type of person who researches the subject before diving in. And if he is taken by surprise, he can usually give an ambiguous answer and think about it later. But the King’s comment was both intriguing and surprising. Whether it was meant as a dramatical statement or the King actually meant that the Cossacks and Frankenlischians might share a common tree, Vehr didn’t know. So all that came out was a couple of hard blinks and a polite “Your Majesty?”

Frankenlisch, Kingdom of Frankenlisch
King Edward I, Royal Train
En route to Westonland

It is a very rare occasion where Vehr is confused. The Minister is indeed the type of person who researches the subject before diving in. And if he is taken by surprise, he can usually give an ambiguous answer and think about it later. But the King’s comment was both intriguing and surprising. Whether it was meant as a dramatical statement or the King actually meant that the Cossacks and Frankenlischians might share a common tree, Vehr didn’t know. So all that came out was a couple of hard blinks and a polite “Your Majesty?”#

King James had confused the Cossacks, good, that showed he hadn't lost his mental faculties during the last few days. He laughed, it was not his usual laugh, that one being very similar to Larry Tristram's deep bellow-whispered chuckling mixture, this laugh was weak but loud, intercut with coughs. "My dear, Mister Vehr," the King replied, enjoying the proceedings more than he expected to, "I doubt that we share much actual lineage. The Kargak Cossacks in Molvani may be of some relation but I do not know how. What I mean is a union of our ruling houses..." While he was sure that Vehr got the message, James drove the point home, "My son is unmarried. It is rare that a royal should remain unmarried as long as he has; while I had wished for him to be united with a Quenminese Princess or a Vionna-Frankenlischian noblewoman, I have been entertaining other suggestions recently."

James speedily had another drink while Vehr fully took in his suggestion. "I also have a niece and nephew, twins aged twenty-one. I know that sounds less tempting than my son and heir but there we are." James smiled, as if he had won something, not that anyone could be sure what. "I say, Tristram," he called the Foreign Minister out of his daze.

"Erm, yes, Your Imperial Majesty?" Tristram replied, warily.

"Go and fetch my son, you know which carriage he is in."

"Yes, Your Imperial Majesty, right away, sir." Tristram scurried off hurriedly, usually, he would have been less formal, even with the King, but he appeared to have been taken by surprise by the whole situation.

Operation Paladin, Fineberg, New Edom

Zeus found themselves in a utility hall, dull coloured concrete halls and whitewashed doors, and the men stacking up and moving as a team. Radical sternly disciplined himself to follow and not interfere, but his keen, sunken eyes swept his sector, his AR at the ready.

Sergeant Lyubomir enterned the office first and then saw the man first and said, "Freeze! On the ground!" Before being greeted by him raising an automatic pistol and his friends just running and jumping in panic around the room trying to find cover, one opening a wall safe and in it there was a flash of smoke and fire.
He first needed to protect his comrades so he raised his Arakawa Type 8 rifle which was at Full Auto for some reason and then opened a barrage of bullets on the person before he could make too many shots, effectivley "neutralising" him. For now, nobody has been killed or injured in his opinion but he managed to command the troops to form a line around cover and start supressive fire over the Homofront bandits and then throw flashbangs at them, Sergeant Lyubomir then started up his radio yelling, "Ares 2-1, this is Zeus 3-2, we are under heavy fire in the upper floors, the Homofront cells here have alerted their comrades downstairs probably, proceed down the stairs with extreme caution, use the CornerShot if you have to, over!"
Then they started shooting the fellers who were in the office, targeting especially the one in the safe and then threw flashbangs at their locations, after that, they advanced over the blinded bandits and started shooting at them directly, causing for them to get killed.
Now they had to deal with the guy behind the door, the soldier with the Mossberg 500 loaded slugs into the shotgun and started blasting the door away and the lock with the breaching slug, after that they threw a flashbang inside the semi-Office and breached it, they would kill the last person if necessary.
Then after that, they would find whatever remaining evidence there is inside the building and would proceed to the Janitorial Service Company building.

With Ares 2-1, they knew that Zeus 3-2 alerted the entire Homofront terrorists all across the commercial center, and with that, they got a message from Zeus 3-2, to watch their ass on the stairwell, they had to pull out the CornerShot, 2 men of the team did that and thus peeking through each corner secretly with a CornerShot, they were mounted on their Glock pistols and thus detected in each Stairwell a Homofront member and they threw a flashbang in each stairwell making it explode and blind the Homofront fighters, before bursting in and shooting them all. After they would be dead, they would proceed further downstairs, expecting a hostage situation.

Ardoki and Solisia: The New Chapter of Patriarchal Aggression?

Zefra Callten - The dream of a Sisterhood of Nations may be dying, but the necessity has not disappeared. For every friendly patriarchal nation in the world, there remain an equal number of nations whose hostility toward the feminine and the values of a matriarchal society is barely contained. Ruled by masculine pageant and a love of violence, these nations are a threat to all peace-loving peoples, and often see matriarchal cultures as perfect targets.

Such is the case with the latest statements made by the Ardokian Empire toward the Solisian Federated Empire, a matriarchal nation which has aligned herself with the Imperion Coalition. The leader of the psychotic Ardokian Empire, whose slogan is the proclamation that "it is Ardoki's destiny to rule the whole world," recently published a bizarre and bloody spectacle in which Christians were burned alive in giant golden oxen while he coordinated a song-and-dance routine. While the Ardokian government has denied that actual Christians were burned in the making of the video, the incident has garnered reactions spanning from bewilderment to outright condemnation. In the Shrailleeni Empire, the official response was to declare suspicion as to the "Grand Emperor's" claims to innocence, while at least one critic declared the resulting video "derivative, uninspired, and cartoonish."

But the Solisian Empire took this one step forward, cutting diplomatic ties with the Ardokians and demanding the removal of its embassy in Solisia. The Ardokians responded to this request by leveling charges of terrorism at the entire Solisian government and demanding that its diplomatic staff have their immunity revoked, in order to be subjected to investigations.

This response is more than an overreaction, it is a typical example of patriarchal aggression. Many nations condemned Ardoki for its emperor's tasteless performance, and many also questioned whether it was a performance at all. But only Solisia has come under such unusual charges, no doubt in part due to Solisia's matriarchal culture. Ardoki has violated every diplomatic trust by blockading the Solisian embassy, demanding its surrender, and threatening prosecution for the destruction of documents sensitive to the national security of Solisia. It has done this by claiming to have "evidence" of Solisian aid to terrorist organization, although this evidence has not materialized for any independent review. Quite simply, Ardoki sees in Solisia an easy target, and its clumsy attempts to fabricate a justification for war are not fooling anyone with greater education than a toddler.

Her Enlightened Majesty the Mother Empress has already condemned the Ardokian Empire for its blatant aggression against New Edom. But where is the condemnation for the aggression against a fellow matriarchal empire, one of the few that exist in this world? The Shrailleeni Empire is supposed to stand up for Enlightened values, and if this is the case then Ardoki's madness cannot be relegated only to the sphere of a mutual defense pact. It must be sought out and opposed, and the we should reach out to our new representatives to offer a response.

After all, isn't that what democracy is for?

"My dear, Mister Vehr," the King replied, enjoying the proceedings more than he expected to, "I doubt that we share much actual lineage. The Kargak Cossacks in Molvani may be of some relation but I do not know how. What I mean is a union of our ruling houses..."

At this Vehr slowly nodded. It was his first time dealing with a situation such as this; the Khan family was the first to take the throne in modern times.

"My son is unmarried.

Vehr kept nodding, turning the idea over in his head as the King took another drink. He knew the Imperator would most likely approve of the idea, because both his son and daughter were unmarried and it was about time. As a close advisor to the Imperator, Vehr knew about his opinion, especially concerning his daughter Via. He would most likely be interested in a foreign alliance, as the extended Khan family yielded no sons of the right age or talent.

“Your Imperial Majesty, His Majesty has two children: One son, Rudra Khan, 22, and one daughter, Via, aged 20. As far as I understand it, Your Majesty, the Imperator had planned to look for a foreign alliance, so your offer would sit very very well with him”, said Vehr, regaining his composure after the shock.”

Homofront Safe House

Before being greeted by him raising an automatic pistol and his friends just running and jumping in panic around the room trying to find cover, one opening a wall safe and in it there was a flash of smoke and fire.

The man with the pistol yelled, “Fuck you!” while loosing three rounds in quick succession in his direction, but he did it while also ducking for covering behind a desk, so his shots were not as centered as they could be.

He first needed to protect his comrades so he raised his Arakawa Type 8 rifle which was at Full Auto for some reason and then opened a barrage of bullets on the person before he could make too many shots, effectivley "neutralising" him.

The top of the desk was torn up, the man (who was not so much a serious assassin, more support) took two rounds in the upper chest and in the shoulder and went down like a sack of cement. The other two had also grabbed pistols and started firing back, but they kept ducking after barely getting off a round from all the rounds zipping around and ricocheting off the walls and metal file cabinets. Smoke filled the room with a haze from the explosive that had burned the papers and other things in the safe.

Captain Victor Radu joined the to form a line around cover and start suppressive fire over the Homofront bandits and then throw flashbangs at them.

The two in the room went down from the flashbangs, the rom even thicker with smoke in the aftermath. They looked like ordinary Edomite office workers, light olive skinned men with dark hair. These two were stunned, disoriented and semi-conscious, the third was bleeding profusely and breathing in shallow gasps, his eyes glazed from the stun of being shot several times.

Sergeant Lyubomir then started up his radio yelling, "Ares 2-1, this is Zeus 3-2, we are under heavy fire in the upper floors, the Homofront cells here have alerted their comrades downstairs probably, proceed down the stairs with extreme caution, use the CornerShot if you have to, over!"

Radu was among those who advanced over the blinded bandits and started shooting at them directly, causing for them to get killed. Radu growled, “Rot in hell, you miserable dogs.”

With a loud THUMP the door swung open, followed swiftly by a flashbang;in a brief instance before it went off a shocked looking man in a cotton coverall that read Janitorial Service Company dropped down like a jack-in-box. Then he was a crouching man after that, screaming incoherently, clawing at his eyes and seeming insensible. The dropped like a felled pig when they shot him. There were some maps scattered on the table, smoldering.

A flurry of movement in each stairwell, a flash of movement of bare skin contrasting with pink and blue camouflage and then the loud bang of the flashbangs. The men fell down and then bullets made a horrible echoing shattering noise in the stairwell. The men shuddered with the impact of the rounds, then were still.

Staff Sergeant Ashton was incredulous at this. Why not just throw one of those flashbangs and come in hard? he wondered, but there was no time to think of this at the moment. He lined up to follow the others, ready to move in if his skills were needed.

Panopticon Initiative Monitoring and Command Post DS17,
Imperial City of Ardea,
Greater Ardokian Empire

Alaois Markey arrived back at his station after a quick trip to the espresso machine. He was in command of Station 3; like every other station in the building he had a chair, desk, and a computer on a raised platform. In front of the platform, were numerous analysts sitting before multiple large monitors. The room was quite dark, not dark enough to be uncomfortable, but it gave a slightly disturbing presence when combined with the very minimalist and modern design of everything. 'Any critical alerts?' Alaois said, as he stood on his platform to oversee his domain.

'No sir, nothing actionable.' replied one of the analysts.

The Intelligence and Security Directorate's Panopticon Initiative had these Monitoring and Command Posts in every city across the empire. Everywhere a person went, everything a person did, everything a person said, could be accessed here with the capability for targeted real-time tracking of individuals of interest. An artificial intelligence with innovative machine learning algorithms had been developed by the Advanced Research and Development Directorate and was an integral part of the Panopticon Initiative. This AI had been trained to detect suspicious or potentially suspicious behaviour (such as movements of flagged individuals, movement into or around restricted areas, etc.) and then send it to the relevant monitoring and command station for reviewing and action if necessary. This way, not only could potential illegal behaviour be caught quickly the AI would be continuously learning and refining itself to be quicker and more accurate in the future.

Alaois took a sip of coffee. Ah, hot!

Suddenly, the large screens which covered the wall opposite his position flickered and then displayed the image of Alistaire Moriarty. Everyone stood at attention.

'Your Grand Imperial Majesty!' Alaois quickly saluted, right hand open and to his heart, and slightly bowed.

'Commander...'

'Markey. Your Grand Imperial Majesty. Commander Markey.'

'Thank you Commander Markey, and everyone else who is hear today, ensuring Ardoki remains peaceful, prosperous, and most importantly, safe. Your sacrifice to the empire is noted. I hope your working standards are good, this is an important job and worthy of great compensation.'

'Yes. The facilities are excellent and the environment great!' Alaois quickly said.

'That is good to hear. I have heard that one of your analysts is currently monitoring the Solisian embassy and its perimeter.'

Everyone in the room slowly turned to look at a young woman who looked completely shocked.

'Don't worry, no one is in trouble. I just like to communicate with people myself sometimes, it reminds me of every single Ardokian and how I have dedicated my life to serving them. I wish this entire station to turn its full efforts to the Solisian Embassy. It must be watched day and night, at every second. Extend the perimeter and check the details of all individuals within it and who come and go. All utilities, electricity, water, gas, phone lines, Internet, are to be cut off. The ISD will shortly set up a truck outside the embassy to intercept and block all signals coming to and from the embassy. My thanks.'

The signal ended.

'Do as he ordered! Now!' Alaois ordered the analysts at his station.

Just a quick update, I've been offered citizenship at another country, and to them I thank them dearly, but in unrelated news, apparently I got news that a thing I wanted to do was a trap, and have been told to stay inside, so I'm hiding in my home now, my apartment building is under watch by some very bad people. So, uh...anyone want to ask some questions?" She looked at the live chat with a smile. "Do you speak Swedish?" She smirked. "Ja, jag talar lite svenska." She said in response. Homofront Safe House, Operation Paladin

With that, everyone was dead and he ordered one of the men to grab the fire extinguisher and put down the flames, the soldier then swung in and started pouring out the fire extinguishing white material, which put down the flames in the safe and in the office in general.
"Take whatever remaining files that indicate evidence and plans, and seize the weapons of the suspects." Said Sergeant Lyubomir in a tired voice as they all scattered around and searched all of the office again, it seems that the Homofront bastards were burning and shredding evidence, so it seems that there are important files around.
They scavenged and took pictures of the remains of the files and took whatever files that are complete and left and connected to the computers there, to find some evidence and take it with them. They also took the maps in the semi-office and put it all in a duffel bag which they left in a safe locker before proceeding on to the Janitorial Service Company.
Who knows what they will encounter next.

With that, Ares 2-1 proceeded down the stairwells and passed through the Freight Elevator, which was pretty empty and with no armed terrorists at all, they proceeded next to the storage rooms, then they heard faintly the sound of a struggle, "Shhh… You hear that?" Said one Stojamian soldier from the squad, "They are probably sodomizing someone right now, that's our hostage!" Said one soldier quietly. They then proceeded to the door in which they heard the struggle from, "Stack up on me." Said the Sergeant of Ares 2-1 before a Rover Team soldier crushed and destroyed the door knob/lock with a breaching hammer with one strong blow, they then opened the door slightly, only to find a faint scene of a woman sodomizing another woman and they threw a flashbang in closing the door.

Homofront Safe House
Fineberg

Looking into the safe on the upper floor, all that remained in the safe was ashes from white phosphorus that had been placed in it to burn. Telltale white looking smoke still poured from it. A few unshredded papers should a street map with some red ink circles on it. In the office room, there was another map, this one showing clearly the Forum Idumeum Mall in downtown Fineberg. There were also several passports from the nation of Nakad.

Meanwhile, down below, when Ares burst into the room, they saw a glimpse of a strange room--there were chains hanging from the ceiling and some arranged on the floor attached to bolts with thick metal staples holding them to the floor. There was a toilet, a sink, a shower and a table with a neatly stacked set of plastic dishes and cutlery as though for a child.

But most striking was the naked, bruised and welted flesh of a dark haired woman lying on a disarrayed bed, her ankles and wrists chained to it, and she thrashed her head and grunted as if in pain, while a muscular short haired blonde woman in a leotard crouched over her, working devices between the desperately squirming woman’s thighs and buttocks. A video camera, sitting on a tripod, was on and aimed at this. At the sudden noise, the blonde woman began to turn, her face in a tight grin and then the flashbang hit the room.

Homofront Safe House, Fineberg
After the flashbang hit the ground and the door was closed again, a loud BANG would be heard and the room, and both the penetrated dark skinned woman and the muscular blonde woman would be blinded by the large explosion that happened.
With that, the soldiers broke into the room and they mutually shouted, "Freeze! On the ground!" Before shooting the muscular lesbian woman in the leg.
They saw what torture the Homofront members are capable to do, and are feeling sorry for the hostage.
"Jesus fucking christ." Said one Stojamian soldier as he saw what the two women were doing and the camera, they were all disgusted and angry at what happened there.
With the Lesbian woman dropping her gun, the soldiers siezed it from her hands and secured the hostage.
They would then later report it to command.
They were determined to destroy Homofront entirely after what happened there.

With that, the soldiers broke into the room and they mutually shouted, "Freeze! On the ground!" Before shooting the muscular lesbian woman in the leg.

The blonde woman was reeling, her eyes streaming, shaking her head in disoriented, shocked at the noise and the blinding flash. The woman lying on the bed was making muffled screams into her gag.

They saw what torture the Homofront members are capable to do, and are feeling sorry for the hostage.

"Jesus fucking christ." Said one Stojamian soldier as he saw what the two women were doing and the camera, they were all disgusted and angry at what happened there. With the Lesbian woman dropping her gun, the soldiers seized it from her hands and secured the hostage.

They would then later report it to command. They were determined to destroy Homofront entirely after what happened there.

Ashton stepped in and yanked a black bag over Diamond’s head to secure her. She was still not in a ready mental state, and was violently secured by the special ops. Meanwhile, Staff Sergeant Ashton stepped forward.

“That is Sub-Commandant Lesham,” he said, nodding towards the woman on the bed. She was still confused and messed up from the flashbang, and clearly not only uncomfortable from the torments she had been subjected to along with the devices still in her.

Meanwhile, Overlord had been receiving the reports, and so back at the command center, Colonel Zadek raised his tea cup to Commandant Bajith. “They have secured the building, it is done!”

“Excellent,” said the Commandant, smiling. “Now we can tell the Deputy Minister, he will be so pleased.”

“And hopefully we got some good intel as well. I am starting to think, my friend, that when Homofront decided to attack Fineberg again, they made the most colossal mistake of their lives.” Colonel Zadek said. “But let’s not count chickens before they hatch; let’s wait and make sure that it’s truly over…”

With that, the Stojamian Sergeant of Ares 2-1 put a blanket over Sub-Commandant Lesham, he said to her, "It's alright, you are safe now Sub-Commandant Lesham. We are Stojamian SACTO Coalition Forces and we will escort you to safety." He then escorted her slowly and gave her some spare warm clothes he found in a locker in the torture room.
Zeus 3-2 secured the targets and the intel and went ahead to the meeting point between Ares 2-1 and Zeus 3-2, it was near the doors of the commercial centre.
They would go down the elevator and would wait for Ares 2-1.
Who would escort Sub-Commandant Lesham to the meeting point.
They would then continue with the other soldiers and would soon get out victorious, not before securing the crime scenes for evidence and taking intel off the suspects.

Meanwhile in Command centre, Captain Zhivkov decided to pay a visit, "So I heard the same, my men were victorious against all odds. I am proud of everyone in this operation. Once it is truly over I will arrange a special surprise to them."

There was a familiar, 'ping' of an email, and Emily pulled it aside so her private emails stayed hidden, and started to read it on stream, face going pallid as she said, "Just got an email, someone from Homofront has tracked my apartment." She scanned through the email again. "Emilia Bradford, when we recover you're heavily paying for your acts of treason. Did you really think we wouldn't know you gave away our location?" She looked at the camera. "I-I never said anything. I was waiting for someone to email me so I could email them whatever info they needed." She looked pretty horrified. "The safehouse has been compromised and it's your fault for telling biggoted monsters classified information. We are aware that you are in Stock...holm..." Her voice trailed off. "We will bomb the area if necessary, just to wipe treacherous scum like you off the planet."
Emil ran in. "Emily this isn't funny, we have to tell someone! We have to go to Astrid." Emily got teary-eyed and hugged Emil.
"Go tell them, I'll try to make sure the area, or at least the building is evacuated." She smiled at him. "This is my problem. I need to get everyone out. If worst comes to worst, I'll tell them to meet me in the outskirts, somewhere without any houses, a more rural place. I can go up north into the arctic circle. But I doubt that'll stop an attack." She sighed. "That's it for this stream. Goodbye, I guess." She stopped the scene, and her and Emil left the apartment, running down halls and stopping at doors. Emil texted Lukas, "Did you see the livestream, stórbróðir?" Lukas sent a quick, "Yeah, I forwarded it with Tino and Berwald, they're going to talk about a war against this 'Homofront' terrorist group."

Frankenlisch, Kingdom of Frankenlisch
King Edward I, Royal Train
En route to Westonland

“Your Imperial Majesty, His Majesty has two children: One son, Rudra Khan, 22, and one daughter, Via, aged 20. As far as I understand it, Your Majesty, the Imperator had planned to look for a foreign alliance, so your offer would sit very very well with him”, said Vehr, regaining his composure after the shock.”

"Good!" King James replied instantly. "I will have word sent to the Duke of Erin that Isobel and Michael, my niece and nephew, are to come to Westonland with all speed. A toast perhaps, to good tidings?" The King suggested, a bushy eyebrow raised.

Upon being informed that the Cossacks did not drink, the King pouted and had another whiskey and soda. He smiled lightly and drew his head back against his upright pillow. There came a commotion from the door and it was opened by a teenage squire, she wore a fairly tight leather tabard over a linen shirt of the frilled medieval style, her brown velvet hose fit tightly over thin legs and was tucked into ill-fitting brown leather cavalier boots. With a sweet light Gallandic accent, she announced, "His Royal Highness, Prince Albert, Duke of Grythshead, Knight-Commander of the Order of Ravens." As she made the announcements, the three green feathers in the squire's brown woollen beret swayed lightly.

The heir to the Vionna-Frankenlischian throne was a handsome young man with well-shaped cheeks smattered with dark freckles, his eyes were a deep green and he had a charming smile. He was, however, clearly a noble of the Cavalier style, a style which dated back to the 17th century but had seen a revival amongst the higher nobility in recent years. Prince Albert's hair was of a dark brown and resembled a lion's mane, it was flowing and fashionably curled into ringlets. He wore a arming doublet in a pretty light golden colour which, on closer inspection, was decorated with tiny fleur de lis. His breeches matched the doublet and he wore similar, although better fitting, boots to the squire. His head was topped with a cavalier hat, smaller than usual as it was meant for indoor wear but still expertly crafted and decorated with a trio of dark green feathers, a strange symbol of the prince's position. "Thank you, Elise," he respectfully said to his squire.

"Father!" He exclaimed happily, approaching King James. He bowed his head in respect of the King, removing his hat, before taking his hand tenderly. "Gentlemen," he introduced, bowing his head to the Cossacks graciously, "I do not believe I have had the honour."
New Edom wrote:Unwerth laughed. “Such hen lobsters are the Vionnans. But then, every Vionnan is half a sodomite."

To: Fionn Cormac Cleary, Minister of External Affairs; Greater Ardokian Empire.
From: Rep. Kevin Mayer; On Behalf of Emperor JC, Emperor of TECT & Imperial Marshal of the Imperion Coalition.
Subject: The Solisian Issue.
Encryption: None.

Dear Mr. Cleary,

On behalf of His Imperial and Royal Majesty Emperor JC, Imperial Marshal of the Imperion Coalition, and our member nation the Solisian Federated Empire, I make contact with your government with ever growing concern. It has come to our attention that the Greater Ardokian Empire has applied pressure on an Imperion Coalition member's diplomatic personnel by attempting to have them seized away under frivolous accusations proclaiming them to be terrorists; we are currently told you have them blockaded inside their embassy and are threatening to murder everyone inside unless they "surrender." We're also being informed that in an effort to force the staff out of their diplomatically protected residence, Ardokian authorities have shut off all civil services (gas, electricity, and water to name a few) the staff regularly payed for. Worryingly enough, contact with the embassy after this update was suddenly lost; it would seem no signal is being reached on either end of the Solisian's diplomatic channels. The only point of reference left to Solisians and her allies is satellite reconnaissance that shows only Ardokian movements outside the facility have changed. It is our firm belief that the Ardokians are conducting electronic warfare and jamming communications to isolate the embassy from outside contact.

Let it be known, Ardokian, that no one is fooled by this sudden escalation. "Accusations" suddenly appear at a convenient opportunity with no proof yet to be displayed, ignorance of proper diplomatic protocol which Ardoki is violating in the gravest of manners, and now the latest threats of murder for defending oneself from invaders. Only a brain dead fool in that embassy would willingly surrender to the Ardokian government, to which they legally are not obliged to do. Anyone with an internet connection (or ears and eyes frankly) knows exactly what the top echelons of Ardokian governance do to devout Christians once you have your hands on them; the fact you picked a devout Christian nation to target here isn't by any means a surprise. Everyone in that embassy knows if they step outside it now, they will become the next stars in your leader's upcoming snuff music film - or worse. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone inside believed these were their last days on Earth because it very likely is. Even as the Solisian's offered a fair and mutually serving agreement to let each respective diplomatic parties safely leave the other, your government is choosing to hold diplomatic staff for ransom thinking they will profit you in some way with the Federated Empire or Imperion. Unfortunately, that will never happen - we don't negotiate with terrorists or enemies from a position of weakness. Hostages your nation would take would rightfully be considered dead unless somehow proven otherwise.

Here's the only offer on the table, Ardokians. There will not be no more offers after this and there's no more room for negotiations on this matter. Playing with fire incorrectly will leave nasty burns, the same goes for diplomatic negotiations of the most serious nature. The deal is as followed: The Solisians have made clear they want their people to safely leave on a diplomatic plane in route to Ardoki. We're sure your people also wish to leave Solisia knowing the situation on the ground. You will allow the Federated Empire's diplomatic staff safe passage to their diplomatic plane, you will let that plane safely take off and fly home, and that's all you have to do. There will be no "arrests", no "inquiries" into terrorism, no sudden changes that require Ardoki to apprehend diplomatic staff once they leave the embassy. If any of such happens, the Solisians are to be considered hostages, and of course they're already dead knowing what Ardoki does to its hostages - we'll explain later what we do to people who take and murder hostages of Imperion. In return for the safe passage of the diplomatic staff back to the Federated Empire, Ardoki may do the same by flying a diplomatic plane to pickup its diplomatic staff where they will be allowed safe passage out of the country. Or they may take a flight of their choosing, it doesn't really matter to us how they choose to leave. Sounds mutually agreeable, yes?

Now here's what happens if your answer is anything but "yes" to this generous deal, or if Ardoki chooses to violate said deal at any point. Failure to agree to these terms, raiding the embassy, or shooting down the diplomatic plane will result in retaliatory measures not seen in your nation before. Imperion values the lives of every soul it cares after, including the Solisian diplomatic staff you're attempting to kidnap. Bringing harm against them, for starters, forfeits the lives of your diplomatic staff in the Federated Empire. If there's one thing I can promise you, Ardokian, it's that my country will personally see to it that every damn Ardokian in that embassy is on a plane or ship headed to the slimiest, scummiest, slave market we can find on this marble; if any wish to resist beyond our control, we have no qualms with emulating your actions and broadcasting their demises for the world to see. Second, your nation would have incurred the wrath of this Coalition; an attack on one of us is an attack on all, and one of our citizens is worth hundreds of yours. By committing such an obvious act of war against peaceful diplomatic staff of the Imperion Coalition, you have forfeited your nation's, your people's, rights to self-preservation. Where if these trumped up charges were legitimate, deporting the staff would have been the sensible action done by your government, but instead you seek to capture and murder diplomatic staff to spread some geopolitical message to the world about Ardoki's strength. It's not strong or brave to starve peaceful staff with little protection outside so you can capture them and murder them for a pompous pop music video; if anything Ardoki's leadership are the terrorist psychopaths looking to start a war they cannot possibly hope to survive. Don't forget our sense of values when we meet you in your homes and on the battlefields to slaughter the lot of you because you chose to victimize the wrong set of people. There is a clear and mutually satisfactory solution to this incident that's completely peaceful, you just have to choose to abide by it Ardokian.

Which shall it be Ardokian? Peaceful resolution where everyone returns home and happy, or the beginning of a war your nation was never prepared for?

Sincerely,
Representative Kevin Mayer of TECT
HIRM Emperor JC, Imperial Marshal of the Imperion Coalition
The Imperion Coalition.

300 Meters Bellow Sea, Unknown Waters.
INS Sagemoor, SSN, Sagemoor Task Group.
Operation: Just Rain.

Deep bellow the rough and treacherous seas above stalked predators feared by every seafaring nation. They were smooth for both speed and stealth, armed with endless rows of weapons used on prey it found, and enduring enough to remain on the hunt for weeks. This wasn't some terrifying shark and it certainly wasn't a ferocious orca - it was no such deep water creature of prehistoric appearance either. This was the INS Sagemoor, a Dornhai Class nuclear powered attack submarine on patrol. Using one of many sea bases far beyond the Empire's home waters, submarines of the Imperial Navy were able to patrol far beyond the Empire's homeland. Regions of water where land was more rare than precious minerals, depths that were so deep that they yet to be explored even in these modern times. And of course, regions of the planet where nations friend and foe existed.

It was on this lonely night that the staff of the INS Sagemoor had their routine deployment interrupted by an urgent communication. Sagemoor and its two other submarines (INS Vertwitch & Millfield) were receiving an ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) broadcast directed at them from home. ELF was a one-way method of communication used by nations to communicate with their submarines while they were in operating depths; it requires a transmitter of enormous size and power, making it impossible for smaller nations or smaller platforms from using transmitters - receivers however were a different story. The TECT Imperial Navy had approximately six of these facilities located in the Mainland alone with a few more located in overseas holdings around the world (minus New Celisia which had a few of its own). Messages were represented using over one hundred symbols that routinely changed meaning so that at random intervals the same sequence of symbols would mean something entirely different after each jumbling of the symbols. Each message was a pseudo-random sequence of these symbols and were encrypted before being sent out, making it almost impossible to intercept or understand if intercepted. When the INS Sagemoor and its fellow task group members received the message they were required to unencrypted the message and then decipher its meaning to properly understand the message sent to them. Between the long period of time it took to transmit the message and then deciphering it, communication crews took about an hour to finally read and translate the message. The message simply stated Sagemoor Group was to rise to appropriate depths by a certain time frame for a VLF transmission that would explain their new set of orders.

At the appropriate listed time, Sagemoor and the other two submarines had risen to almost one hundred meters depth. Slowly they deployed a buoy tied to a spool that gradually unraveled, furthering the distance between the submarine and the buoy. Slowing their speed to about ten kilometers an hour, the buoy also gradually rose higher and higher until it reached about fifteen meters from the surface. Sagemoor and the other submarines were now ready to receive their VLF transmission with no one the wiser of their presence who happened to be nearby. The buoy they deployed was a multipurpose receiver connected by wire to the submarine, this allowed the submarine to remain at safer depths while communicating with the outside world; in this case, the buoy was picking up VLF signals being transmitted from home. Just like ELF, VLF (Very Low Frequency) used a large transmitter site with operators in the field using only receivers. Key differences were that VLF waves (between three and thirty kHz) were only able to penetrate about twenty meters of sea water and that they could comparatively transmit more information at quicker speeds than ELF; in fact, typical VLF transmission rates are around three hundred bits a second although newer codes increase the transmission rate considerably. While older bit codes were limited to four hundred and fifty words a minute (about a sentence every two seconds), newer codes were becoming more compressed and could double the word limits. The Imperial Navy itself used a five-bit code that is capable of over six hundred words a minute, decreasing the amount of time needed for the submarine to remain near the surface. Although it took nearly a half-hour to receive the complicated list of orders from home, it was considerably quicker than it used to be back in the day.

Orders for the group came directly from the Emperor through the Armed Forces Ministry and of course the Secretary of the Imperial Navy's staff. Typically a sign of the serious implications such orders will have are that they come from top leaders - an Imperial Decree from the Emperor being the highest. To summarize the several pages worth of orders handed down to them, Sagemoor Task Group has been issued orders assigning them to "Operation: Just Rain." Just Rain is the official operation name given to their mission that entails direct military retaliation against the Greater Ardokian Empire. As far as the crews were aware, the Ardokians were preparing to conduct an assault on an allied embassy and as part of the Imperion Coalition, they were being ordered to be the opening shots fired at the Ardokian's as retaliation for their actions. If the Ardokians didn't realize an act of war is responded to with military force by the victims of such act, they would soon learn the consequences of picking a fight with the fifteen nations of the Imperion Coalition. Of course all three Dornhai Classes weren't armed with nuclear arsenals (although they could have been), but that didn't make them any less capable of seriously striking a nation that came asking for a beating. In all the Dornhai Class had space for about one hundred and twenty munitions, of which could include cruise missiles, torpedoes, mines, and even ballistic missiles.

The details of their mission included making course adjustments that would put them within or near a thousand kilometers of the Ardokian mainland where a host of listed targets were well within cruise missile range. Of the listed targets provided to them, almost none were of military value; there weren't military bases on the list, no docks or parked warships they had intelligence on, not even a single storage facility for military gear they would likely need to target in the future. Scanning the list revealed the names of buildings, specifically prominent ones located in densely urban cities that were exceptionally tall. Some were banks, others were business towers for rent, of course a few were probably government operated at some level, but there was little doubt most were civilian in nature. But to those aboard the submarines they were merely referred to by their operating callsigns and nothing more. Anyone reading the list would probably feel a pit widen in their stomach realizing they were reading a list of buildings the Empire - the Emperor specifically it seems - wanted brought down. It was clear these were mostly civilian targets that, other than being Ardokian skyscrapers, weren't guilty of anything else. Their orders specifically mentioned hitting several to up to a dozen targets at random in order to bring them down or bring as much damage as humanly possible to them. Big wigs at home didn't care how many missiles it took, just that several targets were hit and they could see successful results. Furthermore, after firing, the group was ordered to sink as many commercial ships they could identify before making a hasty retreat home, regardless if it was flagged as Ardokian or not. Anything doing business with enemies of the Imperion Coalition had no right to call themselves innocent in this affair. But at the end of the day, regardless if it was in the name of a defensive war or not, this group of subs could soon become the triggers behind the mass murder of thousands if the order to fire actually came. Every soul aboard likely is praying that order never came - some probably praying it in fact does come.

Each submarine retracted their buoys, dived back to operating depth, and turned to head west. Their destination, Ardoki. Mission, silently prepare for war if it came to it.

As you can see, all I have completed for the Dornhai is its art. That's mostly due to my lack of work on storefront products over the last year since this rightfully should have been out months ago. Anyways, Dornhai is an offensive oriented attack submarine used by TECT on longer ranged missions; she packs more armaments and vertical mission slots for her varying mission sets. If you have any further questions on what she has/does, feel free to ask in the OOC thread.
