Hey guys! I'm finally back from the dead (or my unannounced hiatus, for which I'm sorry). Since Fdryden now owns the United States, is it alright if I occupy France, the territories west of the Rhine (e.g. Belgium, Luxembourg, and the southern Netherlands), Piedmont, Latium, and Algeria?
(I was thinking that Austria, Germany, and the rest of Italy could be an NPC entity, such as the Holy Roman Empire)

Unfortunately, there are multiple problems with this proposition.
1. Caleon occupied CUB when they collapsed, which was composed of France, Belgium and Italy. This means that your nation would not be approved without their permission, although this may be given.
2. Caleon originally occupied (and still occupies) Germany, Poland and Lithuania. This means that the 'HRE' NPC would not be approved without their permission, which is highly unlikely.

Usually, if Player 1 wants to fight Player 2, P1 would have to ask OOC permission. In this case, I didn't give permission.

However, I myself made Israel and Palestine ask for recognition and Hypron accepted this offer. Usually, if a real-life country recognized and was friendly with a state and another country invaded the state, the country would declare war. By virtue of inviting Hypron to recognize and be friendly with I&P, I have implicitly authorized him to aid I&P.

So in this case, would he be able to take part in a war or not?

This isn't really a problem now because I planned a solution beforehand (which could set a precedent for dealing with conflicts like this), but I would like to know your opinions for future instances.

Even then, since it brought up the issue, I might as well resolve it.

Okay guys, here is what I've decided. If someone does something like I did where they don't explicitly allow a war but the IC actions they take implicitly allow this, I will let them know and then let them decide whether to continue with it or not.

In the I&P scenario, it won't matter, but I'll allow Hypron to war with Iran if Iran wars with I&P in order to establish that it can happen.

Oh btw, there is a rule that pre-2019 history cannot be changed, but I forgot to tell you about it when you first applied. Because of this, I'll need to change Caleon's history so the East Asians arrived sometime between 2019 and 2030 rather than during the late 1800s.
