[Newark Aristocracy]

November 10,2020: A plane flies through the clouds,unbeknownst to the pilot what will happen next.
The plane is headed over the Great Lakes territory of the Newark Aristocracy,when it disappears.
What happens is rippling.

The plane ends up on November 10,1975,over the Edmund Fitzgerald as it about to sink.
The plane Dodges the ship,but the plane stalled,crashing into the Great Lakes.
The disappearance of the plane baffles investigators in the 2020 Newark Aristocracy.
The plane is found by US and Canadian Coast Guard ships,afloat,with the pilot missing.
The plane is sent to the US mainland. The plane has many technologies which the US and Canada of the 70s don't under stand.
The plane is found in 2020,by the pilot,who somehow goes to 2020 to get himself out of the situation. He tells authorities that the plane went to November 10,1975 and crashed.
People don't believe him. As word of this gets out,controversy starts to surround the General Avation plane with people thinking it has a time machine in it. The NATSB or Newark Aristocracy Transportation Safety Board states that this is not an isolated incident as several similar ones have happened in the past 5 years.

Two men sat in a stone chamber inside a buried temple etched with runes and carvings. The temple itself was old, centuries if not older, with winding passageways and ceremonial rooms which were still in use to this day. It had been updated and augmented with command and control facilities and modern amenities for the Theocratic Government of the Lost Spiral.

"Has it been confirmed?" One of the men asked hurriedly, leaning forwards almost too eagerly with a slight pant and his hands on a marble table.

The younger of the pair, sat across from him with a glass of wine in his hand, shook his head, "The NATSB has stated that it wasn't an isolated incident and that they have evidence of more. We cannot confirm either way."

"A public statement." The excitement fell out of the older man's voice as he leaned backwards in his tall chair, "I doubt they'd make a public statement if what they say was truly the case."

With a nod the younger man drained his glass and let it rest on the table with a clink. "Agreed. they'd have kept it to themselves and silenced the pilot before he let the secret out. Which means this must be a trap, not necessarily for us but for a state or an organisation that might fall for it.".

The older man leaned forwards again, "What if," raising his left hand and gesturing mindlessly, "what if it's true? We can't afford to ignore this. It could ..."

"It could reveal us." the younger one cut in harshly. Staring across at the crestfallen man in front of him, he sighed, "I suppose we can't ignore it if there's even a nought point one percent chance of it being true. In that case, shall I order an Enquirer dispatched?"

"Yes but not only that but a Reclamation Squad as well, assigned to the Enquirer.".

[The Lost Spiral]

Getting to Newark city hadn't been difficult. Using a variety of flights and in one case a ferry prior to overland travel, the Enquirer and her Reclamation squad rendezvoused at a downtown cafe.

Sipping her third searing hot caffe latte, the Enquirer gave orders to her men as they stopped by her table in pairs over the course of the morning.

The first pair were instructed to find a suitable motel and room, with great lines of sight, multiple exits, high numbers of civilians and lack of cameras. They were to rent it out for the week, paying cash, and to prepare the room and its defences prior to everyone else's arrival. The squad and the Enquirer would use the room as a base for the duration of their mission.

The second pair were told to locate a black market dealer and purchase weaponry, nothing fancy or explosive, shotguns or even pistols would do depending on Newark's laws and how strict they might be. If all else failed, they'd have to rely on knives. Again, they'd pay cash and if they were successful in finding weaponry, they'd spend the rest of the day ensuring they weren't being tailed before heading to the motel.

The third, fourth and fifth pairs were given the same instructions and ordered to coordinate their actions. They were to case out the NATSB Office and learn about guards, security systems, schedules, layout and anything else that may be necessary for subsequent infiltration attempts. They would set up a rota so that the office would be under observation twenty four hours a day.

The sixth and last pair was told to source anything they'd need for the purposes of infiltrating the office and setting up surveillance equipment. Once they had the gear they were to coordinate with the reconnaissance teams and then begin practicing for the real mission that would take palce in a few days.

Our gun laws are so lax,you can buy a tank with ammunition.

Also,all hotels in our country are required to have security cameras.
