"Well, the very long story short is that mah piss soaked excuse of a nephew decided tah stick his nose where it very much didn’t belong and provoked a race of bug-men to invade oor fair corner of space..." Came from the other side of the line. Hearing this, followed by a cheeky "Right in the middle of mah New Year’s brandy can ye believe it Reichsmarschall?" caught the Reichsmarschall off guard. 30 years of military experience in the GKSeK could not have prepared him for what sounded like an alien invasion of the world. Working up the power to reply, the Reichsmarschall responded: "Your Majesty, it sounds like you just said that aliens were attacking the world. If that's true, then it seems that you'll need more than just one drink."
Thinking about his options, he had no clue as to how to counter an attack by a race that had previously not been known to exist. The only options were to recall all Englean forces in other portions of the world back to the Kaiserreich, to attempt to create a "national fortress" and hold off for as long as possible. However, some forces were stationed in Shastara and therefore cut off from the homeland. This unfortunate situation forced the Reichsmarschall to make one decision: temporarily give command over Englean forces in Shastara to whomever was the acting monarch. "Your Majesty, I have come to the decision that it would be imperitive for Englean forces in Shastara to have some form of command structure. Therefore, acting for myself and His Imperial Majesty, I have decided to grant temporary command over GKSeK forces marooned in Shastara to whomever is the current monarch in the nation. Good luck over there."

Friedrich Wilhelm III, Freie Reichsstadt Engelberg
The time that many had awaited had finally come, the entrance into a new century. Friedrich Wilhelm had waited for this as well, given that he had lived through the entire century and, thanks to genetic engineering, he was ready to continue leading the Kaiserreich feeling like he was still 40 years old. This year, it was decided to replace the standard New Year's ball with an eagle to "Engleanise" this New Year's celebration. When it finally reached its base, the whole crowd cheered with fireworks being fired to match their joyous nature. Watching over the city from his balcony positioned above the crowds, Friedrich Wilhelm thought to himself over the seemingly peaceful night: "I suppose I was incorrect tonight..." Little did he know about the destruction taking place in Ventismar at this very moment, or the frantic preparations of the GKSeK and Abwehr in the more central portions of the nation.
It was right as he was about to return into the building that the Engelberg Emergency Speaker System was heard, blaring a haunting noise that had not been heard since the routine drills in the 20th Century Cold War. Soon after, a squadron of fighters from the Luftstreitkräfte flew overhead to the eastern portion of the city. All that were present at the celebrations stood in confusion, including the party accompanying the Kaiser. Turning to his officers, Friedrich Wilhelm demanded to know what was happening. None of those in the enterage could respond, lacking any information. Suddenly the door to the room was thrown open by a younger officer with a large amount of papers, which were actually action reports from the GKSeK: "Your Majesty! We have multiple reports of attacks all over the nation, and the world! Reichsmarschall von Kluge has ordered DEFCON 1, with all Imperial personnel reporting to their emergency shelter locations."
Like many around the world, the group was caught by surprise with many in the room immediately requesting the Kaiser evacuate and get to the Engelberg Imperial Emergency Command Centre before the city gets the same treatment as many in Ventismar. Before Friedrich could respond, explosions were heard from the eastern portion of the city followed by screams from the crowd and the rest of the city. All hell was breaking loose, and it was coming their way. Quickly acting, the Kaiser decided to heed the officers' requests and ordered the staff that accompanied him to evacuate using their vehicles out the back of the building. Quickly rushing down the stairs, the group reached the exit doors of the building. Before exiting, they checked to see if everyone was present and the vehicles were prepared. Four Kaiserliche-Garde members saluted, and stated that everything was ready to go. Nodding, the Kaiser proceeded to exit the building and "booked it" to the waiting vehicles.
However, this night did not wish to make the escape that simple. A huge vessel was seen crossing overhead, drawing fire from what seemed to be every aircraft and weapon in the city but not seeming to take any damage from any of it. "What in the hell is that thing?" Yelled most of the officers present, staring at the vessel. It was bigger than anything that the Kaiserreich had, rivaling only the largest superbattleships created by the nation. The vessel seemed to have no entrances or exits visible, and did not possess anything that made it appear to be human-made. As the group stared at the vessel, a loud noise was heard behind them along with screaming and automatic gunfire. After a moment of silence, the wall of the building that they just exited was suddenly destroyed by a creature that could not have been described with words. Most of the Kaiserliche-Garde present were dispatched with ease by the creature, leaving only the officers and the Kaiser alive to face it. "Oh for fuck's sake..." exclaimed the Kaiser, wondering how this could be possible.
Although the creature silently stared at the group, and the group back, it seemed like it had a great interest in the Kaiser. It was at this time that it seemed like it spoke to them in an unknown language...
