Armine took his helmet off and said to Astre, "I return your greetings, Prince Astre Crestet. I am Paladin-Commander Armine the Phantom of House Ignis. I offer you a proposal; you fight my second, Johamma the Colossus, in single combat. I swear on my honor that none of my men will interfere, and if you win you have one less of us to fight when we meet again. If you lose, well, i don't really need to explain what happens if you lose." Armine watched the Prince, just in case he decided to try and kill them while he was waiting.

"Really now? I don't suppose you'd mind leaving her behind, then." Astre replied, his tone making his suspicion of them obvious. Energy climbed within him, and his veins bulged slightly.

Erika abruptly felt the bridge snap.
She chuckled to herself.
"I'm in danger."
The bridge fell, taking her with it, but she caught onto a ledge and held on.

Middle East-A different universe(where the match isn't being broadcasted)
Erika woke with a start, covered in sweat.
She looked around. Her M82 was there as always, as was her H&K 416.
She shook her head. "Bleh. That's enough Rainbow 6 Siege for me."
With that, she ate a small fistful of hardtack, shouldered her rifle, rolled up the cloth she slept on and the one shielding her from the elements, and went on her way, off to battle again-and this time, this battle would prove to be much more important than some mere competition.

[Skyhooked]

The fight got even more tense for Skyhookedians, as Casey James lost his sledgehammer, but managed to prevent himself from being thrown around like a ragdoll by throwing a jet of flames at Heavy for a few secs. After that, he quickly reloads his UZI and have already sprayed a few bullets at medic, before he was staggered by the shockwave from the explosion, which was far enough to cause him only little harm.

Learning from his past mistake and burned toe, Bjorn managed to react quickly enough to dodge the flare, but instead of engaging Pyro in melee, he picked up the Pyro's flamethrower, which was damaged by his sword and bullets yet still more than functional. He used it against Pyro, but instead of shoting fire at him, he employed compression blast, which probably pushed Pryo back. By the time, Soldier managed to fire a missile at him, Bjorn's back wasn't turned on him, so he just used the same compression blast, hopefully deflecting the projectile. Yes, this is a good part of Bjorn's saga. Except the part with a syringe, that his Bjorn's neck. Not lethally of course, but it's quite unpleasant. Nothing too bad, just unpleasant.

Meanwhile, John Walker AI wasn't so lucky. Spy's sapper caused him to convulse and drop his assault rifle and despite robot's inbuilt protection again st such attacks, sapper managed to burn several cricuits, before he managed to put it off and throw away. He lost lots of valuable time, and only now can act, and he will have to spend a while to reroute all the damaged circuits. Until then, he enjoys slower speed and worsened coordination.

And Stan Dixon proceeded with attacking hostiles with ice, while trying to run away from Heavy after narrowly dodging the sledgehammer, so it only made him lose his hat, but not head. He threw another ice spike, this time it was meant to hit Medic, who is a God's boon for Task Force 2 and pain in the ass for Skyhookedian team. But it's not only the sharp piece of ice... all six bullets from revolver folowed it. Hoping, that Medic is dead or at least staggered and can't heal anyone, for Stan has no time to check. After that, Stan made a sharp turn, rushed to a cover, climbed on a crate to get higher ground and fired two precision shots at Sniper and Engineer from his winchester. He has yet to fire even more.

As for Seth... he could have changed the course of battle and killer all other contestants except Skyhookedian team, but instead his body was decorating the courtyard.

Meanwhile in Skyhooked.

-"Make your bets folks! Shit gets even more intense here! Will our leaders claim the prize, or will their asses get kicked? I bet a bottle of whiskey and six revovler rounds, that our team wins! After all, they are pretty awesome!"-Drunkard watching TV.

Veil decided to be careful with the limping “Via” coming towards him. As a master of stealth himself, he knew that there were tricks, magical or not, that could deceive one’s eyes. He flipped on his throat mic (which was literally in his throat) with his tongue.

“Hello there Via. How is your condition?”

The radio was static, yet the figure in front of him had spoken, and he knew the Via standing in front of him was false. In a amazing show of agility, he leaped through the window next to him and landed two stories down, followed by revolver fire. The fall didn’t hurt him much. He immediately radioed Kirve.

“Kirve, Via is out of the game for sure. But there is a replica walking around so be careful. Stay in constant contact so we know where each other are. The guy who can look like Via might be able to look like one of us.”

“Copy that, Veil”

“Kirve was zig-zagging his way towards Medic’s position, trying to take out the immense power-shifter of the enemy team. He then saw the shadowy figure of Spy run to Medic’s aid and stick John Walker in the back with a sapper. Kirve lifted his gun and fired, knocking out Spy. He didn’t check to see whether he was dead. He moved on to fire some rounds at Casey and Soldier, then reached Medic. Kirve first kicked the weapon out of Medics hands, then he aimed right at his face.

“Die, scum”

Medic’s face exploded as 5.56 entered his skull. Having finished off Medic, Kirve charged one hand and fired a blast at a wounded Heavy, who was currently beating out Stan’s life. He then fired some rounds at the mechs above, and was about to go kill Casey when Soldier came flying and knocked him to the ground. Kirve had lost his rifle, and now grabbed a nearby metal rod and charged it. Soldier attempted to fire a rocket at him, but that was dodged by Kirve and soldier got an electrocution to the head, which didn’t kill him. Soldier knew he was in a tight spot and rocket jumped away for a better position. Kirve tried to follow, but a bullet to the neck from Sniper brought him to the ground. Slowly losing health, he pulled the pin to all his grenades and tossed them.

In the viewing room, Canon Enclave, Cossack Khanate

Kirve walked through the door with a look of exhaustion on his face. He had been respawned to the lobby, and from there had taken a portal out of the Factory dimension. He found an annoyed Mark and an equally annoyed Via.

“Well Mark, what was your demise like?”, asked Kirve.
“I was reloading when a replica of Via came through the door and cut me up. It was kinda lame, I think I was the first death” said Mark, while munching on popcorn.
“And I got sniped in the leg and then fell into lava. Also lame” said Via “At least you got downed the proper way”
Kirve nodded. “Let’s see what Veil will do. Can I have some popcorn?”

[The Rapture Republic]

Patient Zero watched from his thorny tower, where if anyone attempted to climb would be poked and infected with parasitic hatchlings akin to the ones from Parasitoid Wasps, which would lay their eggs in living creatures to eat them from the inside out, leaving their vital organs intact to keep them alive, in addition with naturally having a virus equivalent to aids, dissolving the immune system’s ability to fight off the infection. Leaving the victim helpless and their corpses to sprout wasps that would grow to be human-sized with stringers the size of an average sized kindergartener to attack humans and infect them with the hatchlings to repeat the horrific process over and over again. Zero began to feel embarrassed instead of prideful about the Skyhookedians bearing him in battle, when he saw Stan Dixon barely standing on his last two legs, as this embarrassment feed into anger and intense resentment by allowing himself to shamefully defeated by a mere human with limit magical abilities. Focusing upon this building rage caused by his observation of the fight, he wouldn’t release the blazing monster inside of him just yet. Zero played with his time to strike.

Meanwhile. VictorNet turned his head looking at Daniel, who was apparently pissed at him for no good reason and just framing him for the death of his horse. When that was bound to happen in a battle tournament — also, Daniel appeared to be one of those foolish gentlemen that believed in honour and somethin’ or other. Unfortunately for Daniel, VictorNet was not a man of honour and he was not about to violate the rules of this event with the host entering the fight.

VictorNet raised his right foot, followed by him stomping the ground with moderate force though strong enough to cause Daniel to lose his balance, therefore. VictorNet scurried off and leaped off the tower, where a portal opened and instantly closed behind him.

With a grim smile Daniel watched as VictorNet jumped off the tower and into a portal that appeared out of nowhere. Speaking to his now vacant surroundings and hoping that he was being filmed he said,

"Until we meet again you cowardly son of a cur."

With that he hobbled back to Bonnie's saddle and lifted it back up before trudging back to the loading bay area. As he approached he scanned the battle field and weighted his options. Not seeing Erika he assumed she had perished which was unfortunate but his main concern was returning to the battle field since he still was across the river of lava. He could stay on that side in relative safety and attempt to pick off the rest of the contestants but that wouldn't really help with dealing with the bastard thugs that VictorNet had in this fight. As he looked towards the river of lava he noticed chunks of rock, probably pumice, floating on the lava. Groaning he started to move towards the lava when he heard a buzzing sound. Looking up he noticed a cluster of four giant wasps buzzing around. As he looked at them he reached for his lasso as an idea struck him. Unfortunately his hand felt air and he realized that he had lost his lasso trying to take down Patient X. Cursing to himself he instead pulled out his bullwhip and started tying the end braid to form a crude lasso. Once he was complete with that he quickly emptied the saddle and moved all of the materials he would need to two saddle bags. Pulling out his rifle he took aim at the cluster of wasps and started firing. With nine shots loaded he was able to kill one of the giant wasps and incensed the others. Reloading as quickly as he could he brought his rifle back to bear on the wasps which were closing fast. Blasting through another nine rounds he was able to kill another wasp and injure a third. Racking his rifle back into the scabbard he pulled out his Schofield and finished off the injured wasp with one round. Now it was just him and one giant, man-sized wasp coming straight at him with a stinger the size of a newborn calf. Picking up his crudely fashioned lasso and the two saddle bags Daniel started to build up moment. As the wasp closed to within 15 meter of Daniel he let go of the loop and managed to snag the petiole (slender part of a wasp between the metasoma and mesosoma) of the wasp. As soon as he had let go of the loop end, he had redrawn his Schofield and shot it in the metasoma. This rendered its stinger inoperable and in pain it tried to fly off. However, Daniel was holding onto the whip and the two saddle bags and was dragged up into the air. As they flew, albeit rather poorly, over the chasm of lava he couldn't help but whoop and shout from the excitement of having a round up with a man sized wasp.

Astre stood still, stood silent, ignoring Armine and denying the man any sort of satisfaction of a reaction. He looked around, wondering where the swarm was and didn't stop them from leaving.

With Patient X hopefully out of the picture and their heavy weaponry retrieved, the three-man crew of Heavy, Medic and Pyro went back to the standoff as Heavy revved up his minigun, Medic's gun was sparking as he was nearly ready to UberCharge, and Pyro has his flamethrower pointed right at Bjorn. Soldier also managed to slinky his way down, falling off the 10-foot-tall cube as he laid on the floor and groaning weakly, the Medic sighing as he shot him with the crossbow, bringing him back to health, the Soldier perking up as he smiled. "Ahh, much better. Anyways, maggots, it seems your little pagan commie friend over here has forgotten to detonate the sticky bombs using the button on the side of the gun, which means it'll be far easier for us to kick your respective asses! So surrender now, and you will not be harmed!" Soldier commanded. "Erm... Soldier, you do realise this is about killing everyone, right? Chances are the last thing we want for them!" Medic said. "Oh. Well, in any case, I hope you've contacted your insurance companies, because the costs of finding what's left of your bodies will be at an all time high!" Soldier yelled as he readied his rocket launcher and aimed it at Oni. As soon as someone made a move or started firing, the crew would start firing. Meanwhile, as Sniper stupidly took a potshot at Tylia, he gradually bunkered down as several explosive shots went off around him, calling to the Engineer as he slung his rifle and drew his Huntsman bow, readying an explosive tipped arrow, while Engineer upgraded his sentry to Level 3, with double minigun barrels and a quad-rocket launcher, ready to lock on to any enemies.

Looks like the fight becoame more epic, as Oni and Soldeir arived to the scene. Bjorn barely managed to dodge Oni's slash, and when he heared an offer of surrender, he refused: "Surrender? Ha! I am not defeated yet!"-He shouts, as he runs towards Pyro, covering behind his new shield, which probably may protect him from at least some fire, as he gets close enough, he quickly strikes at the flamethrower with his sword, hoping to damage it, or even beat it out of Pyro's hands. First Leader Seth, fighting his pain, slowly approached the scene and shot a few long bursts at Medic. Due to his wounds, his accuracy was reduced. Then he attempts to get back to cover, hoping, that he will make it in time. As for Casey and John Walker AI, looks like the relief in form of them had arrived just in time. The first was John Walker AI, who reloaded his assault rifle and fired a long burst at Medic, defining him as the weakest, but important target. Then, instead of reloading, he choose to go melee, and switched to the Eyelander, which he found near fallen Demoman. With that, he looked like a classical knight in shining armor, who came to rescue: "Activating protocol "Deus Vult", he said in robotic tone and made a run to the Oni, hoping, that his hull is hard enough to deflect a few Heavy's bullets delivered from Motherland by Sasha the Minigun. Then came Casey James, that stoner with UZI, who stopped for a while to catch his breath. He was more than happy to add some awesomeness to an already awesome show, and decided to spice up things with a casual quick spray from his UZI at general direction of Heavy, before launching a firebolt, a small non-explosive fire projectile at Medic. -"I am spicing things up, dudes!"-He shouted, hoping to distract at least some of the foes. In the meantime, Stan Dixon fired a few shots from revolver at Soldier and Oni

Oni blocked the shots with his sword by making and X for a shield. "I may have gotten myself into a sticky situation!" Oni said as he then focused on the rocket that was probably inbound due to the sudden movement. Already in a stance ready to leap. He turned to Dixon about ready to jump over any missile fired at him. He looks at the current assault taking place from both the task force and the team of skyhook unsure if he even fit in this battle, such large teams and he was only playing solo.

He took a few steps back thinking he should probably just let it play out a bit more. Especially after seeing Kirve's suicide run. He retracted his blade into one and readied to charge in as he was second guessing the whole sitting back and watching.
He slashed up the back of the heavy and places his foot on Dixon's shoulder to launch himself higher. he splits the blades hurling one at the Engineer's turret in Hope's of damaging it.
He then fell downwards straying off to retrieve his blade.

Somehow Erika was managing to hold onto the inner cliff of the arena and was trying to pull herself up. As Dixton ran away, Heavy gave chase, his speed catching up to him as odd as it sounds as he screamed and ran after him. As Stan made his sharp turn, he kept running for a split second before turning and looking around for him, then catching sight of him as he climbed up the crate, running towards him and leaping up as he climbed upwards, grabbing onto a ledge and then climbing up, attempting to get a crushing one-handed grip onto his neck and chokeslamming him down to the ground below. "YOU, I DO NOT FORGET, LITTLE MAGIC BABY! NOW GO ON, FACE ME AND FIGHT LIKE MAN!" Heavy screamed at him as he would do so.

The compression blast maged to hit Pyro and the rocket, causing Pyro to be flicked away to near a beam, and the rocket to narrowly miss Soldier as he engaged Kirve before rocket jumping away as he was shot down by the Sniper, the Kiwi assassin cackling as he cocked his bolt-action before scribbling in his notepad. "That's two deaths, one assist. Let's see how far we can get now." He laughed, before getting a deep cut from a blade from Oni on his arm that was meant for the sentry as well as one of Stan's bullets, making him groan in pain. Luckily, the Engineer's mobile dispenser was by his side as it attempted to heal him, the Sniper looking back as he commanded him to move up, the mobile turret and dispenser following as Engineer provided overwatch with his shotgun while Sniper went to another, higher crate, climbing it as he went behind some convenient metallic cover and took aim once more, potshotting at Oni and Bjorn.

The Pyro, in the meantime, slowly got up as he then pulled out his shotgun, taking several shots at Bjorn before pulling out his fireman's axe again, preparing for combat.

Meanwhile, after Medic was gunned down by Casey, Dixon, and Kirve to name a few, his body laid there as a bloody mess. Spy survived Kirve's attack as he managed to fake his death by pulling out the Dead Ringer, but this used up his extra life as it would not reacharge for another hour or so, and considering he can't just simply sit there and wait, he'd have to be extra careful. As he got the time to uncloak away from battle, it made a loud noise, signifying that he was still alive. He then went back to his normal invis watch as he scouted out for any potential targets.

RED Base

As Demoman and Scout were both cheering at the screen, watching as Sniper took Kirve's life in revenge of the Medic, the doctor himself finally came through the portal, mildly disappointed as he sighed and sat down.

"Yeah. We saw, doc. Don't worry, though. You did a pretty good job out there." Scout said, patting him on the shoulder.

As he advanced, buckshots from Pyro didn't case him much damage, but still landed a nasty hit at his leg, where one of the plates was absent, making him to stagger and take defensive stance. As soon as Pyro attacks, he would dodge him, while covering his head with a shield and try to slash him with a sword.

Meanwhile, John Walker picked the flamethrower and attacked random foes in chaotic fashion, as he was too busy rerouting too many damaged circuits and couldn't evaluate threat level. At least he could recognize friends and foes. He tried to taunt or something, but because he did this before he managed to fix his voice module, he could only say: "Mmmphhh... kzt... hudda... huh...", and no, Medi gun couldn't cure his "wounds".

With hateful determination to strike his first kill in this tournament.

As Heavy was stabbed in the chest, he screamed in pain, the knife managing to pierce into one of his ribs, barely poking at his vital organs and he grabbed Stan's arm, fighting back intensely against his knife attach as he grabbed his face, trying to force him away.

Bjorn's sword managed to snip Pyro by his side, not before he turned back, ducking at another swipe as he swung the axe at his exposed leg and tried cutting it off. The Soldier, looking back at Zero, also saw a window for a glorious victory as he attempted firing at Zero and Walker with his rocket launcher.

Meanwhile, as he awaited the Engineer reject, he looked at Oni as he confidently laughed at him.

"Don't worry, mate! I'll give ya somethin' that's checked, ya Undertale reject!" He said, throwing his signature jar of urine at him as it'd shatter and explode into a cloud of pee before firing at him with his submachine gun.

Followed up by Zero launching his body at John with a clutched fist, striking at John’s face with enough power to stink a large boat in his attempt to kill Walker. While this happening, Soldier fired a rocket towards Zero and Walker, consequently not recognizing the change with the environment, a large parasitoid wasp hatched out of the ghoulic structure and bursted with green acidic goo, as it raised and was stuck by the rocket sending bug guts everywhere, all in slow motion. Before the wasp got a chance at life, sad.

But with a hand on his face, it was a bit hard to see, so Stan actually only barely saw the head and shot at it's general direction. Then he tried to put his gun a bit closer and shoot a finishing shot.

As for Bjorn, his leg wasn't amputated thanks to his old plate armor, but still it was as painful as hell and caused really strong pain, interrupting his attack serie. Somehow, Pyro managed to hit between the plates and cut through the mail, causing Bjorn some not too bad bleeding. this will definitely leave another scar on an already horrifically scarred skin.

Bjorn had to start a new serie of attacks. Now he charged at Pyro at his full speed, attempting to pummel him with several shield bashes before stabbing. However, he already concentrated on deflecting any Pyro's attack, knowing how dangerous they actually are.

Meanwhile, Casey switched to Bjorn and tried to aid him, because Stan was already overhealed and had constitution of a wild horse. Before shooting healing beam at viking warrior, he picked up a bonesaw from Medic's corpse, tried it's ballance for a second and threw it at Pyro. Then he tried to heal Bjorn with the Medi Gun.

As for John Walker Ai, this machine got another share of suffering. If he could feel pain, he would have passed out from pain shock. Not only some acid from parasite wasp fell on him and damaged his hull plate on left shoulder, making a hole, that exposed his servomotor, but also he narrowly almost dodged a hit in the head. Almost, because it still touched a side and dented a plate on his head and also seriously damaged one of the auxiliary sensors. At least he didn't lose his sword, as he suddenly managed to chage the direction of attack and attempted to charge and impale the infamous Patient Zero.

With that he shouldered his rifle and started to perform a style of 'walking fire' towards the battle. As he marched forward he took aim at anyone he was able to get a clear pot shot off at. As he came closer and closer to the battle he started to utilize cover before advancing and saw that Oni was distracted after getting covered in a jar of Aussie piss. Taking careful aim at one of his legs, Daniel fired and immediately ducked out of sight where he couldn't see if he had hit Oni or not. Reaching into one of the saddle bags he was carrying he pulled out a cigar and lit it. Taking a puff from it he reached back in and pulled out a stick of dynamite. Holding it up to his cigar he lit the fuse and tossed it over the rock he was behind in the general direction of those fighting.

He didn't need to perform a finishing shot though, as the wild shot Stan performed managed to hit him directly in the head, blowing his brains out on the other side, causing the big man to slump to the ground as he fell to the ground, dead in one hit.

Upset after not getting his hit on Zero correctly, he growled and cursed, loading one rocket back in to prepare for another hot, but hearing Heavy's death cry alerted him. Now Pyro would be in a world of trouble as he was facing an angry Nord who was charging right at him. In preparation, he took two grenades from his sash as he laid them at his feet, running over them as he launched himself high in the air, doing a spin as everything went into slow motion for him.

"JUSTICE RAINS FROM ABOVE! Oh, wait, wrong game... er... SCREAMING EAGLES!" Soldier cried out as he fired a salvo of rockets; all directed at Stan, Walker, Casey and Bjorn respectively as he then attempted to land on Bjorn with his 'Market Gardender-model' shovel at the ready to crash down on him with. Pyro, seeing the window of oppurtunity, dodged another shield bash as he ran off, grabbing his flare gun and shooting at the stoner before holstering it and letting off several shotgun rounds.

RED Base

As Medic looked on in sorrow, Scout and Demo still looked on enthusiastically, cheering Sniper on as he faced Oni.

"Oh, is he gonna do it? is he gonn- AW YEAH! HE DID IT! HE DID THE PISS THING!" Scout cheered as Heavy walked out of the teleporter, a bit frustrated but nonetheless contempt.

"Aw, Heavy, mate... Sorry that fuckin' junkie had ta' pick up the gun and get in on yer' glorious kill. Coulda really changed the tide of battle 'ere." Demoman said, having a swig.

After healing Bjorn, Casey switched to UZI, picked up Medics syringe gun and after successfully dodging Soldier's rocket, got behind Patient Zero and unleashed a hurricane of bullets and syringes on him, until Pyro's flare hit hin in the head and set his dreadlocks on fire, forcing him to run in random direction, while putting the flame out. He didn't get too many bad burns, but still that's quite unpleasant. On his run, he almost tripped over the Medi Gun, he dropped earlier, and when picked it up, tried to inhale from it, removing some of the nastier burns.-"As groovy as cannabis..."-He commented.

Bjorn in the meantime was thrown by a shockwave from the Soldier's rocket, but didn't talke much damage. He managed to get up right before the Soldier landed near him, and swinged his sword at him, hoping that on such speed, he will cause this proud and brave soldier of democracy from Amreica lots of damage with the swing. Instead of taunting him or telling how he respects his warrior spirit, Bjorn asked: "And why do you think, that I am a commie?" Then he makes a few steps back and tries to watch both Pyro and Soldeir at the same time.

As for John Walker AI, his streak of misfortune continued, as Soldier's rocket exploded right near him and caused colossal damage. The explosion tore his right arm, half of his hull armored plates and severely damaged his servomotor on left leg, making him limp. And like that's not enough, his liquid nitrogen coolant started to leak in a few places at a pretty quick rate. If he is not repaired, he will soon overheat and possibly explode.

However, he still managed to target Pyro and shoot him with a long burst from his assault rifle at Pyro, holding it in one hand. His arms were designed to compensate recoil, so his accuracy was higher.
